A theoretical investigation for the conductivity of single walled nanotube films is carried out with an effective medium model in the Terahertz region. The results are compared with the recent experiment and a decrease of the real conductivity with increasing frequency is predicted. Meanwhile, the off-diagonal components of the dielectric function of single-walled carbon nanotube films based on the magnetooptical effects are also shown. (C) 2003 MAIK "Nauka / Interperiodica".
