Recently, along with the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, education trends are rapidly changing. Education focused on the role of first movers based on creative ideas and on how to respond in new environment changes is necessary. This study examines the role of instructors in the field of education and identifies the direction of training for teachers that is fit for the changing times. This is done by empirically grasping the effect of the role of instructors on educational service quality, recommendation, and course repetition through the implementation of the development of faculty member competency. As a result of this study, it is found that the role of the instructor, seen from the perspective of a user, has a close direct and indirect effect on the education service quality, recommendation, and intention for course repetition. The obtained result was that the quality of education for learners should improve through the individual competency improvement of the instructors and that resources should be devoted to improving competency in order to cultivate talented students that match the flow of the times. It is hoped that this could be an opportunity to realize once again that education and its results can be different depending on the efforts of the instructor.
