Abstract

Photocatalytic water-splitting to produce hydrogen (H2) is considered one of the most promising strategies to solve the increasing energy and environmental challenges facing humanity. However, the major obstacle is the lack of highly efficient photocatalysts with visible-light absorption capability and prominent charge transfer and separation. Herein, we developed for the first time an interface-engineered 2D hierarchitecture comprising ultrathin Cd-doped ZnIn2S4(Cd0.15Zn0.85In2S4) nanosheets coupled with Ni2P nanoparticles as a cocatalyst and reduced graphene oxide (RGO) nanosheets as an electron mediator. Under visible-light (λ> 400 nm) irradiation, the RGO/Cd0.15Zn0.85In2S4–Ni2P composite displayed an enhanced H2evolution activity of 14.56 mmol h−1g−1that is 22 times that of pristine ZnIn2S4, and much higher than those of RGO/Cd0.15Zn0.85In2S4, Cd0.15Zn0.85In2S4–Ni2P, Pt-loaded RGO/Cd0.15Zn0.85In2S4, and many previously reported ZnIn2S4-based photocatalysts. Additionally, the RGO/Cd0.15Zn0.85In2S4–Ni2P hybrids showed outstanding long time cycling stability. The excellent photocatalytic HER capability of our photocatalyst could be attributed to the enhanced light-harvesting capability of porous hierarchitectures, increased charge transfer and separation viathe interface-engineered Schottky heterojunctions, and the many active sites of the Ni2P cocatalyst. The synergistic cooperation of the cocatalyst and electron mediator in 2D nanostructures offers a promising approach to prepare efficient solar photocatalysts.

Wang (SB-SD) being a recognized Chinese medicinal herbal pair that is commonly used in the treatment of ovarian cancer, there is a poor understanding of their pharmacological mechanisms. This study examines the antitumor properties and potential mechanisms of SB-SD on human ovarian cancer A2780 cells through a multi-omics approach, establishing a pharmacological basis for clinical utilization.

Natural ventilation is one of the effective ways to improve the indoor air quality and save energy. The surface pressure distribution was studied by scale model wind tunnel experiment and CFD method, based on which the differential pressure of air inlet and outlet opening was obtained. The differential pressure was taken as boundary condition when studying internal natural ventilation and the influence of ventilation mode and opening size were investigated.

Abstract

We propose a multi-agent-based model of a futures market to analyze the characters of commodity futures price stylized facts. The model includes hedger agents and speculative agents. We use the Brenner's "stochastic belief learning model" to describe the speculative agents' beliefs learning process, which is a social learning process with local information. In our model, the bounded rational speculative agents have different learning capability and risk aversion degree, and they can learn both from individual and others' experiences. New market price is generated though a sealed-bid auction clearance mechanism. The simulation can reproduce the important observed stylized facts in futures markets price time series, including fat tails, clustered volatility, and long memory in returns distribution. Our results show clustered volatility in returns depends on the level of speculators' imitation behaviors. Social learning process leads to imitation behaviors and futures price volatility has close relation with large speculators' trading.

Abstract

As a preprocessing method of data mining with SVM, feature selection can eliminate irrelevant or redundant attributes and increase the density of samples in feature spaces that can improve classification performance. In the field of financial time series pattern recognition, the study of feature selection has been receiving increasing attention. Different from other studies, this work use two new coefficients: neighborhood dependence (ND) and neighborhood decision error (NDEM) to measure the classification complexity as a method of feature selection. In the real example, we use ASH, ASNN, ND and NDEM to measure the classification complexity of technical indicators data set of Shanghai stock exchange (SSE). Then we take the reduced sets which selected by the above four coefficients as input data for SVM. Compared with the forecasting results of SVM for the other three coefficients, the SVM with NDEM reduced data set has higher classification accuracy.
