As a concept derived from the resource-based view, dynamic capabilities essentially have an important linkage with activities related to the creation of organizational knowledge. Using literature study method, this paper aims to discuss the linkage between the creation of dynamic knowledge capabilities and the creation of knowledge company. The study shows that the discussion of dynamic capabilities creation finally puts both learning and knowledge in an important position. Correspondingly, the relationship between a growth strategy that is generally chosen by the organization brings a consequence that the creation of organizational knowledge becomes something that can not be ignored. In order to make the process of knowledge creation in line with dynamic capabilities creation within a growth strategy creation framework, we need a dynamic process of knowledge creation. Among the various models of knowledge creation, SECI model still becomes a relevant model within organizational knowledge creation framework. In general, this study is still theoretical, therefore, more empirical subsequent discussions are expected.

ABSTRACT Productivity garment greatly influenced by the work station facilities and presence in the workplace . UD Aliya - Malang is one example as an object of research . Based on the research conducted , there are still some problems . This is also supported by the operator of complaints about the draft working facilities , the work table is often used as a medium to carry out the activity of cutting material (cloth or canvas). Incompatibility between the dimension table with the body dimensions of operators resulted in operators often complain , and perform movements beyond the normal limits . By using anthropometric approach , the results obtained is the size of the table corresponding to the dimensions of the body of the operator , namely the size of the table is 117cm x 69cm x 98,41cm . Based on the results of the initial surveys and interviews conducted by the operator, there are a number of complaints were found among them is the problem of the narrow room, the buildup of working materials at the work station, lighting and air circulation is less to make the operator comfortable in work. Based on the results of measurements, conditions of work station at UD Aliya still less ergonomic, which if left unchecked can lead to many complaints and problems in the future. Improvement of work station using Ergonomic Environment approach, the results can be obtained using the optimal amount of light for each work station, a reduction in noise levels, and improved air circulation using venilator turbine. As well as using ARC analysis, the results obtained are placement work station layout, the result is important juxtapose work station I and IV with the Warehouse. Concerning towards the quality of air comfort and safety to pedestrians in the University area should be increased as Indonesia economics booming. The objective of this study is to investigate and then to evaluate the distribution of thermal comfort at the University of Brawijaya, Malang. The research is started with study literature and early survey to collect all information of building layout and building shape at the University of Brawijaya. The information is used to create a 3D model in CAD software. The model is simulated to measure the PMV factors of air temperature, relative humidity and air speed in some locations. The two scenarios of maintaining the predicted mean vote (PMV) is presented by designing the new building based on air foil shape dimension to keep the wind speed in higher value for pedestrian and by putting the water pool in front of the building to increase the air temperature. As a result, the air foil based design is capable to reduce PMV index in average 0.4 scale and pool design is only reducing PMV index level in 0.001 scale

Often the location of dairy cattle farms is far from KUD shelter/processing becomes a real obstacle to maintain the quality of milk from a review of health. Moreover, the problems of availability of non-renewable energy for small entrepreneurs is burdensome in terms of price. Potential utilization of the Tepas village becomes an important things to synergize between the workman of wood cutter and the farmers of dairy cattle. Therefore, this journal aims is to create a pasteurization tools fueled of woodsawdust briquettes. The first step is studying literature and field surveys which is used as a basis in designing the briquette molding equipment and hearth of pasteurization in the model of 2D / 3D CAD design. The next step is making dough of woodsawdust with adhesive starch and then pressed by briquettes molder. The briquettes which have finished is used as a heat source of pasteurization tube with LTLT (Low Temperature Long Time) methods to reach temperatures of 650°C within 30 minutes. Pasteurized milk can be stored at room temperature within safe 3 days which means could saving the transportation fuel around Rp. 740,000, - per month.

To determine the effectiveness of NPK compound (10-30-20) fertilizer to maize growth and yield, a study was conducted on vertisol soil of the rainfed rice field in Gambir Kuning village, Kraton District Pasuruan Regency, from September 2020 until February 2021. The study was arranged in randomized block design with four replications. As the treatment i.e., A. control (without inorganic fertilizer), B. standard/local recommendation (NPK 15-15-15) 300 kg, C. NPK (10-30-20) 100 kg, D. NPK (10-30-20) 200 kg, E. NPK (10-30-20) 300 kg, F. NPK (10-30-20) 400 kg, G. NPK (10-30-20) 500 kg ha-1. Except for control, all treatments were fertilized with 200 kg Urea and 100 kg ZA. P27 hybrid maize variety was used as an indicator plant. The results showed that the applications of NPK compound ((10-30-20) were increasing plant growth and yield effectively. The optimum dosage of NPK (10-30-20) was 499.55 kg ha-1. Treatment F produced the highest yield (6.83 tons ha-1) and was significantly different from the control (4.13 tons ha-1) and higher than the standard (6.24 tons ha-1). This treatment also gave the highest RAE value (127,55).

Hydrogen as the most cleanest energy source promise polutant free combustion. However, hydrogen production process still have negative impact on environment. Water electrolysis as one of hydrogen production process leave toxical gas residue and if the catalyst used in the process is metal catalyst it will leave metal waste which have potential to pollute soil and water. Curcumin as polyphenol antioxidant have potential as electrocatalytic agent due to its electron donor behavior. Curcumin loaded aluminum electrode coated by mechanical coating technique using water as solvent perform better as electrode compared to non-coated electrode. Curcumin coated cathode, anode and both electrode produce more hydrogen in shorter time than non-coated electrode. Curcumin electron donor increase the current density flows through the electrodes which is lift up the efficiency of water electrolysis process.

Regulation of the Minister of Public Works No. 30 of 2006 on Technical Guidance of Facility and Accessibility on Building and Environment, explains that arrangement of lay-out facility in building must support enough space and circulation for persons with disability and / elderly, including KPRI-UB. KPRI-UB is a shopping place that belongs to the public then it is required to follow the regulation. But in fact, it has not been able to provide adequate access, both from the aspect of facility layout and shelf size. The purpose of this study is to provide proposed layout and proposal size shopping shelves in accordance with the needs of difable consumer in KPRI-UB. The research design used is quantitative with descriptive approach. The result that can be used as a recommendation to design facility which is accessible for difable is change of layout design from shelf contained in KPRI, ramp design, and device used by difables to call help to the operator.

Rural schools in Indonesia face various problems that are uniquely rural. A comprehensive report on rural schools in Indonesia has found high rates of poverty and low levels of educational attainment (Improving People’s Access Towards More Qualified Education 2004). It has found that rural schools are staffed by younger, less well-educated faculty members and administrators, who earn low salaries and benefits compared to their urban or metropolitan counterparts. The report also documents persistent problems related to rural school finance, teacher compensation and quality, facilities, curriculum, and student achievement.

Semarang is the capital city of Central Java Province, as a metropolitan city, Semarang has the capablity to support the rapid development of the city , one of the evident is the highly of activity on physical infrastucture, one of them is the construction of residential areas along the high rate of population growth. Settlement area development activities emerge the negatively impact to reduce the existence of open space area. This study uses a quantitative method through positivistic approach. Research data presented by the form of figures and the analysis using the statistics. This study was first carried out in 2006 and 2011 to analyze the spatial through digitized the image map of Semarang, and the results of the digitization of spatial land area of open space and a residential area, which is used to formulate some stage subsequent analysis: 1) Identification and analysis of the influence of the development of residential areas against the open space in the city, 2) Analysis of the acceleration of the projected change of land per year in Semarang in 2006-2020, 3) Analysis of the application of open space 30% (sample in District Tembalang). The result of this analysis showed the relationship between the relevant mutual influence. The rate of population growth and development of residential areas with a relationship of mutual influence supply and demand. Then, as the development of residential areas causes the reduction of open space. In additon, the background of this problem is how to formulate the recommendations to control the land use plan , in order to create an ideal city land use in the future.

Many aspects become consideration related to the needs and desires of consumers with disabilities. Categories of persons with disabilities using using the lame use walking aids (long leg braces) for everyday mobility. Long leg braces that are now in the market have some complaints. Incompatibility use walking aids prove that the identification and analysis of existing of long leg braces as consideration for further improvement. When using the product, 40 of long leg braces become the sample from 64 populations in Malang. The consumer of long leg braces tend to express a desire using abstract words. Identification of the feelings and emotions of the users done using kansei words. Kansei words represent human psychological as feelings and emotions. Considerations that appear on kansei words, become consideration in the calculation of biomechanics. Therefore,it is expected that the design of the new long leg braces are able to distribute energy/ the load of the user so it can reduce complaints based on kansei words. Based on the kansei questionnaire there are 25 pairs of words that represent the desire of consumers to the product. 7 factors which produce ergonomic consideration factors have the most variable. Adjustments to the forces and moments between the segments of the normal foot greatest force in doubled phase support pelvic segment amounted to 28.93 N and moment of inertia of 658.53 KgM2. With a recommendation on long leg braces segment so that the resulting mass at the base of the thigh segment amounted to 0.864 kg, 0.792 kg calf and the foot segment amounted to 0.182 kg. Biomechanical calculations have proved that complaints of long leg braces have the highest number of complaints on the suitability of the thigh segment based on kansei words.

Abstract Industrial processing of chicken/native is one of the many industry-based food productions. These industry players realize that to provide cheap products, quality, and fast is not enough to make improvements in the company's internal only. But also takes the role of all parties, from suppliers who provide raw materials, transportation companies that send raw materials from suppliers to the industry, as well as the distribution network delivering products into the hands of customers. Performance improvement requires the presence of Supply Chain performance measures beforehand. The results of these measurements will be used as reference for improvement of performance of the Supply Chain. The reason the use of AHP and MILP itself because of these two methods are expected to provide the best solution of existing problems, which AHP method can determine the weighting or desired supplier selection criteria from existing suppliers. While the MILP method alone is expected to maximize profits by considering the risks. The results of the application of the AHP method known value of most major sub-criteria weights that supplier B with value at a price of 0.594 sub-criteria, sub-criteria weights alternative on the quality of 0.493, the sub-criteria weights alternative delivery time of 0.387, an alternative to the sub-criteria weights accuracy number of 0493, and the weight alternative to the sub-supplier performance criteria for 0.374. While based on the application of linear programming methods of forecasting results are known supplier B has a stock of goods which are more stable than other suppliers to stock inventory in July amounted to 18.116 tails, august amounted to 18.524 tails, September amounted to 19.033 tails, October amounted to 19.542 tails, in month of november to 20.068 tails, december amounted to 20.559 tails, and in January next at 21.068 tails.

Abstract Productivity improvement of the company can be reach with many effort, which are minimizing waste, improving the utility of operator, and also redesigning layout facilities. Based on the observation, idle time of operator for the injection process is 30 minutes. If the delay will be compare with the company losses, it is equal to IDR. 1.001.700/operator/month. Based on this problem, redesign of the facilities layout is a solution to improve utilities and workload of operator. The result of this research, alternative layout has design based on simulation and the analysis of Activity Relationship Chart (ARC). It could be minimized the material handling 49.4 meters and 42.9 seconds. For the financial analysis, it can be minimized the labour cost IDR 14.684.670/month and also the material handling cost at least IDR 54.262/month.

Abstract In running the process, the repetitive activity in the production process of the extract of Dewata fruit could cause pain and fatigue on the worker's body. It was because there was a facility that did not meet the rules of workplace ergonomics. Continuous evaluation was needed to know the solution of the problem of musculoskeletal complaint so that it can improve ergonomic working facilities. In making simulation scenario is expected to describe the condition of the actual company so that the improvement proposal can resolve the real issue.The methods that were used in this study include: Biomechanics Assessment (REBA and QEC), anthropometric Design and Simulation Arena. Assessment scores REBA (Rapid Entire Body Assessment) was obtained from the angle of motion depiction of the image carrier (photo) whereas the assessment scores QEC (Quick Exposure Check) was obtained from filling the questionnaire between the observer and the operator. From the research result on the dimension repair facility cooling pond work on workstation 2 (cooling), tables and chairs on the workstation 3 (formation of cardboard box), and the table packaging on the workstation 4 (packaging). In the proposal of improved simulation, it is given resource addition as many as one person on cooling 2 to improve production efficiency from 42.3 % to 100 % so that it is necessary to increase the wage of Rp 1,500,000.00 / month.

Abstract In this study done on leather shoe company that uses flow shop scheduling strategies. Where the purpose of this study is to minimize makespan is the total time needed to complete the entire job. This is done because of the large demand for leather shoes that exceeds the production capacity and production scheduling by the company based on intuition. In solving the production scheduling problem that occurs in the company, Cross Entropy algorithm used method-Genetic Algorithm (CEGA) to minimize the makespan. From the results of calculations with CEGA method sequences obtained by scheduling makespan value of 5822 seconds with an efficiency of 6.79% when compared with the method of the company with sebasar makespan value of 6246 seconds.

Prior researchers indicate that mental load is one of the most important contributors to a traffic accident. The aim of the paper is to investigate the impact and the correlation of road condition and driving experience on driver’s mental workload. The driving test consists of 3 road complicity situation (urban road, highway, rural road) with 26 drivers with average 21 years old in different experience level (average 4.08 years’ experience). NASA TLX questioner is used as subjective driver’s mental load measurement with three dimensions relate to the demands imposed on the subject (Mental, Physical and Temporal Demands) and three to the interaction of a subject with the task (Effort, Frustration, and Performance). There are 3 cameras placed on the left side, right side and front car to identify the road condition. According to experiment, it was found that drivers felt that frustration level, business, and mental-demand factors dominate the impact on high-level workload (96.15%). Highway road conditions provide an average overall workload score of 62 (OWS) which was better compared to city road (OWS = 69) and rural road (OWS = 66). Based on street complexity, it is necessary to improve road conditions that resemble highway road by reducing potential hazard.

Hence, the aim of the project is to deliver an intelligent model for the university management to easy guide the candidates of disable students in selecting the best subject of their study. The project will be begun with literature reviews and then will be concentrated on the early survey (questionnaire) of the student histories. The information will be analyzed and classified to serve as references in determining of the academic factors. The next step is developing the database of background histories as input system and academic performance as output of the system. The back propagation Neural network (BPNN) will be trained to build the complex relationship between input and output system. Finally, the system will deliver a NN tool to select the best of subject of study based on grade performance and histories background.

Hence, The purpose of the paper is to classify and to investigate disable students based on histories background and based on studying performance. The research was begun with literature reviews and then concentrated on the early survey (questionnaire) of the student histories. The information was classified and was analyzed to describe the correlation for all factors which is configured in graphs. The output of the paper is the summary of the sensitive trend for each factor according to disable student performance.

Continous improvements to increase productivity is compulsory for small medium enterprise. The average value of productivity observed with Objective Matrix, in January-September 2014, is 261 . The main factorwhich affect the value of productivity is the number of defective products produced by Automatic Feeding and Sealing Machine.Approximately, 73.7% of total defective products is leak product. Thus, the main effortto increase value of productivity is reduce the amount of leak products produced by those macine. After calculating the average value of productivity, design of experiment were performed using central composite design approach. Then measure optimum value for each independent variables using Response Surface Methodology. The optimal values are : Cup Type A ( supplied by PT.Indopack ) , the heater I’s temperature is 256.9 °C and the heater II’s temperature is 258.48 oC . with predicted number of leaked product is 0.86 . By using this setting , the value of productivity turned to 855, far above the average of the previous months.

The aim of the paper is to reduce wastes in manufacturing process by integrating QFD and lean concepts manufacturing. Optimize the amount of waste can be considered as the voice of consumers e.g. how the management manufacturing eliminated the defect of the product. Some companies have implemented both the integration but not fully eliminate waste entirely. Hence, the modification of QFD & lean concept integration is still open chance to get better in waste (defect) elimination. The study is started with a preliminary survey and assesses the theory to define both methods. Pareto diagram is employed to determine the level of interest which has priority waste and further analyzed with QFD achieved. The result shows that a unique standard operating procedure (SOP) is very important for every department.

Blast disease affected by Pyricularia grisea causes high percentage of yield losses in rice production. The improvement of durable Blast resistance is difficult due to the complexity of the inheritance of this trait. This study was conducted to evaluate the genetic control and inheritance of Blast resistance trait in interspesific population between IR 64 (accepted Indonesian rice type, medium resistant to Indonesian Blast pathogen) and Oryza rufipogon (AA genome; acc. No.IRGC#105491; donor for Blast resistance). Six populations, i.e. P1, P2, F1, F2, BCP1, and BCP2, were inoculated with three Indonesian races of Blast pathogen. The disease intensity was determined on the basis of disease leaf area (DLA). The three types of gene interactions (additive, dominance, and epistatis) were significantly involved in this trait. Among the digenic epistasis interactions, all of the additive x additive [i], additive x dominance (j) and dominance x dominance (l) contributed to the trait. Broad-sense heritability ranged from 50.30 up to 91.20%, while the narrow heritability ranged from 16.98 up to 73.20%. The presence of additive gene effect indicated that selection of this trait is promising.

In Indonesia responsibility for immunizations is placed on local government health centres and on the nurses who provide the immunizations at each centre. An on-the-job peer training programme for these nurses, which was designed to improve the immunization performance of poorly performing health centres in terms of coverage and practice in Maluku province, was evaluated. Experienced immunization nurses were sent to health centres where nurses were inexperienced or performing poorly; the experienced nurses spent 1-2 weeks providing on-the-job training for the less experienced ones. An evaluation of the 13 centres that participated in the programme and the 95 that did not found that the programme increased both immunization coverage and the quality of practice. Coverage of diphtheria/pertussis/tetanus (DPT), polio, and measles vaccinations rose by about 39% in all 13 participating centres when compared with non-participating centres, and by about 54% in the 11 centres that had a functioning transportation system during the year after training. These results reflect increases in the actual number of doses given and improvements in the accuracy of reports. Potential threats to the study?s validity were examined and found not to be significant. The out-of-pocket cost of the training programme was about US$ 53 per trainee or about US$ 0.05 per additional vaccine reported to have been given. The marginal cost per additional fully immunized child was estimated to be US$ 0.50.

Thermal comfort for workers is very important factor to increase their performance, as well as the comfort level of dairy cattle will influence in milk productivity. The purposes of the paper is to measure the level of heat stress and then use the information to design the dairy cattle house for increasing thermal comfort. The research is started with literature review of heat stress and early survey of environment condition e.g. temperature, wind speed and relative humidity. The next step is using the information to determine the temperature humidity index (THI) level for dairy cattle with maximum THI = 86 and 84 (moderate stress). The 3D CAD model and Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) simulation are employed to looking for solution for reducing the discomfort thermal of dairy cattle. A scenario (fan) air conditioning to get better condition of thermal comfort have been successfully presented with final THI index = 76 and 78 (mild stress). Finally, the paper shows how to reduce heat stress of cattle house by installation 3 exhaust fans in tropical climate.

This research aimed to find out the constraints occurring in the implementation of craft and entrepreneurship education. This research employed qualitative research method. The research was taken place in three schools in DKI Jakarta as the beneficiaries of entrepreneurship program grant from the government. Data was collected through interview and observation. The result of research showed the less optimum implementation of craft and entrepreneurship education. The constraints the teacher encountered in the implementation of Craft and Entrepreneurship subject were: teacher having no background of Entrepreneurship Education, No Subject Teacher Discussion (MGMP) group available and no supporting activity for Craft and Entrepreneurship subject. Therefore, this research recommended the reinforcement of entrepreneurship education learning through establishing MGMP team, teacher training, and sustainable integration of entrepreneurship subject and program.

The characterization and introduction of agroecology is separated into several zones based on the physical conditions of the environment. This study aimed to obtain land suitability for paddy, corn, and soybean‐based information and potential of the local resource, which is a digital map of agroecological zones (AEZs) and crop requirements in Jombang district. The strategy is that land suitability zones for rice, corn, and soybeans can be extrapolated to other areas that have the similar agroecology zones in the Jombang region or other regions in Indonesia. This research includes the following 3 series of activities: (1) data gathering and administration, (2) field activities, and (3) data processing. Information on climate characteristics, plant growth, and needs were obtained from field studies and literature studies and then the information was overlaid using a land use expert system with the ALES (automated land evaluation system) program to determine the ZAE class. The results of this study were that AEZ in Jombang district is dominated by Zone IV with a slope of <8% (66.69%), consisting of paddy, corn, soybeans, and sugarcane commodities. Zone III with a slope of 8–15% (1.77%) consists of mango, banana, and corn commodities. Zone II with a slope of 15–30% (3.38%) consists of durian and mango commodities. The zone above (30–40% slope) is an area with natural vegetation (4.79%). Suitable land (S1) for rice is 37,062 Ha (33.09%) and for corn is 14,698 Ha (13.12%), and quite suitable land (S2) for soyabean, is divided into S2nr (nutrient retention), an area of 10.99%, and S2rc, nr (root media and nutrient retention), and an area of 18.33%. Land suitability class determines the level of land management and technology required to obtain optimal crop yields. Land suitability for paddy, corn, and soybeans based on ZAE in Jombang District can be extrapolated to other areas that have similarities. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
