56. Advances in the study of glacier avalanches in Tibet.

Abstract

With the global warming, glaciers in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau are melting and retreating rapidly, and the stability of glaciers are decreasing. As the main part of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, stability of glaciers affect the safety of water, life and property in China and neighboring countries. This paper summarized the research status of ice avalanches at home and abroad, and reorganized the definition of ice avalanche disasters in Tibet; Analyzed the formation mechanism of ice avalanche from the topography, tectonic movement and climate; Summarized and analyzed the characteristics of three types of ice avalanche disaster chains. Ice avalanche- glacial lake outburst- debris flow chain disaster, ice avalanche-blocking and outburst - debris flow chain disaster, ice avalanche-debris flow (flash flood) chain disaster; Described the current methods and characteristics of ice avalanche disasters monitoring and warning, and it is believed that the trend is for a combination of multiple monitoring methods for ice avalanche disaster monitoring. Abstract

An asymmetric membrane electrode based on phosphorene/MXene heterostructure-textured nanopiezocomposite was fabricated via a polar urea-assisted self-assembly strategy and additive manufacturing of the heterostructure beyond the skin effect.The merits of this novel asymmetric heterostructure-textured electrode and its intrinsic piezoelectricity were detailedly discussed.The stepwise lithiation process of phosphorene was revealed, and the enhanced electrochemical properties of this phosphorene-based nanopiezocomposite textured electrode were verified by the improved cycling stability and kinetics.

Abstract

An iterative Least Square (LS) channel estimation algorithm for MIMO OFDM systems was proposed in this paper. Compared to common LS channel estimation, this algorithm can greatly improve estimation accuracy, and the low-pass filtering in time domain reduces AWGN and ICI significantly. MIMO OFDM system with this algorithm also works well in mobile situations. Simulation results have shown good MSE performance for this algorithm. Abstract

Based on the visual advantages of bionic compound eyes, the research progress of bionic compound eyes was analyzed, and the imaging principle of compound eyes and the structure of some insect compound eyes were studied. According to the structure of the biological compound eye, a hexagonal closely spliced curved micro-lens array and image transfer system were designed. At the same time, in order to prevent the crosstalk of imaging beams between adjacent sub-eyes, an aperture array with a single aperture of 1.5 mm in length was designed to realize single-channel imaging of each sub-eye. According to the principle of pupil connection, the micro lens array and the conversion system were combined and optimized. The diameter of the entire compound eye was 8.66 mm, the field of view was 121°, the diameter of each sub-eye was 500 μm, and the field of view of the sub-eye was 6°. At 90 lp/mm, the MTF value of the compound eye system was greater than 0.3, and the RMS spot radius were less than the radius of the Airy disk, the imaging quality of the system meet the requirements of the design index. In order to met the requirements of 3D additive manufacturing process, the mechanical structure of the compound eye system was designed. The tolerance analysis result shows that the system structure meets the preparation requirements of 3D printing technology.

91. Spatial distribution characteristics of landslides in Xiluodu Reservoir Area

Abstract

There are many landslides in Xiluodu Reservoir Area. 161 landslides were interpreted to investigate. The key influential factors including the formation lithology, faults, rainfall, earthquake, reservoir water level and the Geodetecter methods was used to explore the relative impact of the factors and the interaction of the two factors on the spatial distribution of landslides. The results show that: (1) Due to the differences in the properties of different rock groups, the landslides show significant regional differences; (2) The landslides are mostly distributed in the range of 600~1200 m, 10°~40°, Ordovician-Silurian (O-S) strata, areas within 4 km of the fault, areas where the average annual rainfall is 800~900 mm and seismic peak ground acceleration of 0.15g; (3) There are 53 landslides affected by reservoir water. The effect is most obvious when the water level acts on the middle and front of the landslide. The effect time is gradually weakened with the annual deformation and stress adjustment; (4) Multi-factor interaction presents more clear relationship with the spatial distribution of landslides. The interaction of lithology and rainfall can explain 45.9 % of the spatial variation of landslides, which means that lithology and rainfall factors have the greatest influence on the spatial distribution of landslides. The results provide a certain basis for the prevention and control of landslides in Xiluodu Reservoir Area.

99. Changes in glacial lakes in the Poiqu River Basin in the central Himalayas.

Abstract

The Poiqu River Basin contains 162.2km² of ice and 19.9km² of glacial lakes. The remote sensing data over the last 40 years have been used to identify 147 glacial lakes in the basin and clearly revealed the retreat of glaciers and the growth of glacial lakes at accelerating rates, in parallel to warming climate in the Himalayas. Based on remote sensing images and digital elevation model (DEM) analysis, the area and water changes in glaciers and glacial lakes are analyzed in detail, and a water balance equation (WBE) is proposed to account for the mechanism of lake growth. The WBE includes water supplies from rainfall runoff, ice and snow ablation, glacial retreat, and water losses due to infiltration and evaporation. As each water contribution item specifically depends on local weather and morphology, the WBE provides a direct link between glacier and glacial lake changes and climate changes under local conditions. Operation of the WBE for five major glacial lakes in the Poiqu River Basin has revealed that water from glaciers and snow cover dominates the growth of lakes. Lakes are found to vary in different ways even with similar backgrounds, depending strongly on local weather and geomorphology conditions. The WBE is not only applicable for predicting future changes in glacial lakes under climate warming conditions but is also useful for assessing water resources from rivers in the central Himalayas.
