Aim: Emotional expressiveness and attachment styles are among the psychological variables that may have so great importance in different groups in terms of psychological pathology and the effect of psychological therapies on these variables should be considered. In this regard, the aim of this study was to present the effectiveness of brief empathic dynamic psychotherapy on emotional expression and attachment style due to anxiety among Amol students. Method: The research design was experimental studies with quasi-experimental design and pre-test-post-test with control group. The statistical population of the study included all students of Amol universities in the first half of the academic year 2018-2019. In the first step, 100 students were selected by Convenience Sampling Method. And King and Ammons (1990) emotional expression questionnaires and Hazen and Sheaver (1987) adult attachment scale were applied to them. People who the received higher scores from the cutting point according to the inclusion criteria and they were selected as the sample. And were randomly divided into two groups of 12 experimental and control. The experimental group received short-term Psychotherapy with empathetic approach (Seruya, 1997) for 12 sessions (one 45-minute session per week for 12 weeks). Then post-test was performed for both groups. Data were analyzed by analysis of covariance and SPSS 20 software. Result: The results showed that in the posttest stage, there is a significant difference between the score of positive emotion expression(F(1,21)= 4.78, p=0.04, Eta=0.201), negative emotion expression(F(1,21)= 4.78, p=0.04, Eta=0.204) and intimacy(F(1,21)= 5.364, p=0.03, Eta=0.22), anxiety attachment(F(1,21)= 8.81, p=0.007, Eta=0.296), experimental and control groups. Conclusion: Based on the findings, it can be concluded that brief empathic dynamic psychotherapy is effective for increasing positive emotion expression, reducing negative emotion expression and increasing intimacy and reducing students' anxious attachment style, so using this method to psychotherapists recommended. Opium has been used traditionally for lowering blood lipids, diabetes, cancer, and postpone of cardiac diseases. The coronary angiography patients were divided to opium user and control group. SYNTAX score, serum lipid profile, left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), systolic and diastolic blood pressure (SBP and DBP) were measured in the case and control groups. The SBP, LVEF, serum levels of triglycerides, creatinine and SYNTAX score in opium user group was significantly lower than non-user group (p < 0.05 to p < 0.01). Although, opium consumption reduced some risk factors, LVEF a key variable for the diagnosis and management of heart failure was also reduced. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Biochemical nano composites have attracted the attention of researchers in recent decades, because they are biocompatible, biodegradable and renewable, and they do not pose a risk to the health of humans and animals, while not contaminating the environment. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of using Nano-chitin on structural and anti-bacterial properties of zein film. In this study, zein Nano composite with Nano chitin was prepared in 0.2, 0.5 and 0.7% based on dry weight zein by solution casting method. Then the structural properties (image of electron microscope and infrared spectroscopy), films were investigated. The results showed that the addition of Nano chitin caused chitin adhesion to the polymeric substrate, increased roughness and uniform distribution of nanoparticles in the biopolymer matrix. Also, the results of antibacterial tests of Nano composite films by disc diffusion and non-zone growth with two bacteria of Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus showed that the addition of Nano chitin to zein film increases the antibacterial properties of film compared to pure zein film. Objective Thalassemia is a public health challenge in the countries entitled belt thalassemia, but there is no pooled estimate of the survival rate on thalassemia major patients. The aim of this meta-analysis was to evaluate the pooled 10-, 15-, 20-, and 30-year survival rates of the patients with beta-thalassemia major around the world. Methods A comprehensive literature search of five international databases including Medline/PubMed, Scopus, Embase, Web of knowledge, and ProQuest was conducted to identify studies reporting survival rate of beta-thalassemia major until March 2020. Results From 714 retrieved studies, 7 studies with 8777 subjects were included in the meta-analysis. Base on random effect model, the 10-, 15-, 20-, and 30-year survival rates were 98.39, 95.07, 90.41, and 82.93 percent, respectively. Conclusions This meta-analysis provided acceptable results for estimating survival rate of beta-thalassemia compared to other studies. Recently utilization of nanoparticles in biological application has been increased due to their enhanced performance in drug delivery, anti-microbial and antiparasitic application. Researchers who work on developing new functional materials by antiparasitic properties are suffering from the lack of specific protocols for in-vitro investigation. In addition, investigation of nanoparticles performance by SEM & TEM could help us to assess their mechanism of action. Most of researchers have problem in preparing biological samples for SEM & TEM analysis. In the present study, pure ZnO nanoparticles and poly(rhodanine)-coated ZnO nanoparticles were truly synthesized and characterized. The antiparasitic activities of both nanoparticles were tested against Trichomonas gallinae parasite in vitro. The average sizes of uncoated and poly(rhodanine)-coated ZnO nanoparticles were 66.1 and 161.9 nm, respectively and a significant reduction for viability (p < 0.01) was observed for poly(rhodanine)-coated ZnO nanoparticles against Trichomonas gallinae. Moreover, the inhibitory concentration for 2 hours (IC50-2h) of pure ZnO nanoparticles and poly(rhodanine)-coated ZnO nanoparticles for this parasite was 2.5 and 10 mg/mL, respectively. Accordingly, these NPs could be suggested as a new nanoagent for safe and effective treatment of Trichomonas gallinae parasites.
