Kockanje je sve raširenija pojava. U zadnjih nekoliko godina prevalencija kockanja je sve veća, a istovremeno se pokazuje i koliko su ozbiljni problemi do kojih kockanje dovodi. Cilj ovog kvantitativnog istraživanja bio je ispitati studentsku percepciju situacije kockanja s obzirom na njihove navike kockanja, obilježja sudionika kockanja te obilježja situacije kockanja. Istraživanje se provodilo sa studenticama i studentima (N = 237) socijalnog rada na Pravnom fakultetu u Zagrebu. Metodom vinjeta nastojale su se ispitati razlike u procjeni situacija kockanja obzirom na spol sudionika kockanja, izvor prihoda sudionika kockanja, ishod kockanja te ispitati povezanost osobnih navika ispitanika i procjene situacija kockanja. Rezultati su potvrdili neke od pretpostavljenih hipoteza kojima se očekivalo da će se situacije procjenjivati ozbiljnijima kad je izvor prihoda sudionika kockanja socijalna pomoć u odnosu na situacije kada je izvor prihoda plaća. Isto tako, potvrđeno je kako su ispitanici u većoj mjeri odobravali kockanje ukoliko je ishod bio dobitak. Iako mali broj sudionika ima vlastito iskustvo kockanja, oni koji češće kockaju, u većoj mjeri i odobravaju isti takav tip aktivnosti u procjenama situacija opisanih u vinjetama., Gambling is a widespread phenomenon. In recent years, the prevalence of gambling has been increasing, and at the same time gambling has been shown as leading to serious problems. The aim of this quantitative study was to examine students' perceptions of gambling situation with respect to their gambling habits, characteristics of gambling participants, and characteristics of gambling situation. The research was conducted with students (N = 237) of social work at the Faculty of Law in Zagreb. The vignette method sought to examine differences in the assessment of gambling situations depending on the gender of gambling participants, the source of income of gambling participants, the outcome of gambling, and to examine the correlation of respondents' personal habits and assessment of gambling situations. The results confirmed some of the hypotheses, where gambling was expected to be considered more serious when the source of income for gambling participants was social help rather than salary. Similarly, it was confirmed that respondents were more likely to approve gambling if the outcome was winning. Although only a small number of respondents have experience with gambling, those who gamble more often are also more likely to approve of the same type of activities when assessing the vignette situations.

Vršnjački status i odnosi s vršnjacima imaju bitnu ulogu u adekvatnom razvoju i prilagodbi adolescenata. Poteškoće s vršnjacima povezane su s mnogobrojnim razvojnim poteškoćama. Ovaj rad fokusirao se na povezanost vršnjačkog statusa i učestalosti internaliziranih i eksternaliziranih problema adolescenata. U istraživanju je sudjelovalo 305 srednjoškolaca drugih razreda iz pet srednjih škola s područja Pule, Pregrade i Zaboka. U istraživanju je korištena anketa sastavljena od upitnika internaliziranih problema, upitnika eksternaliziranih problema i upitnika vršnjačkog statusa. Rezultati ukazuju da postoji negativna povezanost vršnjačkog statusa i internaliziranih problema. Dobivena je pozitivna povezanost vršnjačkog statusa s nekim ispitivanim eksternaliziranim problemima. Zbog nedostataka provedenog istraživanja, u prvom redu nereprezentativnog uzorka, dobiveni rezultati se ne mogu uopćavati na cjelokupnu populaciju adolescenata., Peer status and relationships with peers play an important role in the adequate development and adjustment of adolescents. Peer difficulties are associated with many developmental difficulties. This paper focused on the association between peer status and the frequency of internalizing and externalizing adolescent problems. The study was conducted with 305 second grade students from five high schools in Pula, Pregrada and Zabok. The research used a survey composed of the internalizing problems questionnaire, externalized problems questionnaire, and peer status questionnaire. The results indicate that there is a negative correlation between peer status and internalizing problems. A positive correlation of peer status and some of the externalizing problems was obtained. Due to the shortcomings of the conducted research, primarily the non-representative sample, the results obtained cannot be generalized to the entire adolescent population.

Alzheimerova demencija je najčešći oblik demencije te opći izraz za gubitak pamćenja i drugih kognitivnih sposobnosti. Osobe s demencijom većinom zahtjevaju visoku razinu skrbi, od kojih je većina predviđena neformalnom, odnosno obiteljskom njegom. Uslijed zahtjeva svakodnevnog života, članovi obitelji više nisu u mogućnosti adekvatno brinuti o oboljelima, zbog čega je povećana potreba za formalnim oblicima skrbi. Palijativna skrb je sveobuhvatna aktivna skrb o osobama koje boluju od neizlječivih bolesti i članovima njihovih obitelji. U provođenju palijativne skrbi, etika ima važnu ulogu u kontekstu donošenja odluka, planiranja i pružanja skrbi. Prelazeći od rane do kasne faze bolesti, verbalna komunikacija postaje oskudna i kasnije u potpunosti nestaje. Oboljeloj osobi preostaje neverbalna komunikacija ili „ govor tijela“ koji njegova okolina uči razumijevati i prepoznavati. Palliative care is a comprehensive type of care for people suffering from incurable disease and their family members. Ethics has an important role in the context of decision making and planning when providing palliative care. Going from the early to the late stages of the illness, the verbal communication becomes scarce and later disappears completely. Person with AD is left with non-verbal communication or "body language" that his environment learns to understand and recognize. Social work with persons with dementia and their family caregivers contributes a social perspective to solving the multidimensional problems of persons with dementia and their caregivers.

Seksualni delikti u Republici Hrvatskoj regulirani su Kaznenim zakonom i dijele se na kaznena djela protiv spolne slobode i kaznena djela spolnog zlostavljanja i iskorištavanja djeteta. Seksualni delikti svrstavaju se u najteža kaznena djela te se za njihove počinitelje izriču najstrože kazne. Obilježja počinitelja seksualnih delikata razlikuju se te je teško utvrditi jedinstveni profil počinitelja seksualnih delikata. Također, ne postoji ni jedinstveni tretman za sve počinitelje, već se on uspostavlja prema njihovim individualnim obilježjima i kapacitetima. Cilj ovog rada je predstaviti najvažnija obilježja seksualnih delikata te obilježja počinitelja seksualnih delikata s obzirom vrstu seksualnog delikta i njihovu dob., Sexual offences in Republic of Croatia are regulated by Criminal law and they fall into two categories: felonies against sexual freedom and felonies of sexual abuse and exploitation of a child. Sexual offences are classified as the most serious offences and sexual offenders receive the harshest penalties. Characteristics of sexual offenders are diverse which makes it difficult to determine unique profile. There is no unique treatment for sexual offenders rather it is established considering individual characteristics and capacities. Sexual violence and sexual offences are not talked about enough and a dark figure is pretty big. The aim of this paper is to present most important characteristics of sexual offences as well as characteristics of sexual offenders considering the type of sexual offence and their age.

Konzumacija psihoaktivnih tvari od davnina je prisutna među ljudskom populacijom, a u novije vrijeme sve je veći zdravstveni problem. Zlouporaba psihoaktivnih substanci najčešće počinje u adolescentskoj dobi kada su mladi ljudi skloni eksperimentiranju. Neke su studije pokazale da je konzumacija psihoaktivnih tvari među mladima povezana sa simptomima internaliziranih problema pa je glavni cilj ovog istraživanja bio utvrditi postoji li povezanost između te dvije varijable. U istraživanju su sudjelovala 104 učenika i učenice Srednje škole Zlatar, a rezultati su se uglavnom pokazali statistički neznačajnima, što se može pripisati malom uzorku sudionika., Psychoactive substances consumation is is present among human population from distant past, and more recently it has become even more medical problem. Substance abuse usualy begins in adolescent age when young people tend to experiment. Some studies have shown that psychoactive substance consumation among youth is connected with internalised problems symptoms so the main aim of this researsh was to find if there is a connection between those two variables. 104 students of Zlatar high school have participated in research, and the results appear to be statisticly irrelevant, due to the small population sample.

Cilj ovog istraživanja je ispitati razmišljanja ovisnika o kocki o tome što je dovelo do njihove ovisnosti. U provedenom polustrukturiranom intervjuu sudjelovalo je sveukupno šest osoba (N=6) od čega se dvoje nalazilo na bolničkom liječenju u Psihijatrijskoj bolnici „Vrapče“, a četvero je pohađalo klub „KLOK“. Cilj ovog istraživanja smo ispitivali pomoću tri istraživačka pitanja koja glase: „Kako ovisnici o kocki objašnjavaju osobna obilježja koja su doprinijela nastanku ovisnosti?“, „Kako ovisnici o kocki objašnjavaju okolnosti vezane uz obitelj koja su doprinijela nastanku ovisnosti?“, te „Kako ovisnici o kocki objašnjavaju obilježja okoline koja su doprinijela nastanku ovisnosti?“. Shodno tome, istraživanje smo podijelili na tri teme. Analizom prikupljenih podataka došli smo do zaključka da su osobine ličnosti, emocionalno stanje, motiviranost dobitkom, financijska situacija i potreba za ispunjavanjem slobodnog vremena osobna obilježja osoba ovisnih o kocki koja su doprinijela nastanku njihove ovisnosti. Nadalje, dobra financijska situacija obitelji, obiteljske traume, različiti odgojni stilovi i igranje igara na sreću od strane članova obitelji su okolnosti vezane uz obitelj koje su doprinijele nastanku ovisnosti. Na poslijetku okolinska obilježja koja su doprinijela nastanku ovisnosti su: raširenost igara na sreću unutar društva, dostupnost igara na sreću i neproduktivno zakonodavstvo. Ovi rezultati mogu poslužiti kao smjernice za osmišljavanje mjera i programa za prevenciju ovisnosti o kocki., The aim of this research is to examine the opinion of gambling addicts about what led to their addiction. A total of six people (N = 6) participated in the semi-structured interview, of which two were on hospital treatment in Psychiatric hospital “Vrapče”, and four attended the club "KLOK". The aim of this study was to examine the three research questions: "How the gambling addicts explain the personal characteristics that contributed to the emergence of addiction?", "How the gambling addicts explain the circumstances related to the family that contributed to the emergence of addiction? ", and “How gambling addicts explain the characteristics of the environment that contributed to the emergence of addiction? ". Consequently, we have divided the research into three topics. By analyzing the collected data, we have come to the conclusion that personality traits, emotional state, motivation for profit, financial situation and the need to fulfill free time are the personal characteristics of gambling addicts which contributed to the emergence of their addictions. Furthermore, the good financial situation of family, family traumas, different parenting styles and playing gambling games by family member are circumstances related to the family that contributed to the emergence of addiction. At the very least, the environmental characteristics that contributed to the occurrence of addiction are: the prevalence of gambling games within society, the availability of gambling games and non-productive legislation. These results can be used as guidelines for designing measures and programs to prevent gambling addiction.

U suvremeno doba sve više se govori o smrti i umirućim osobama koje boluju od neizlječivih bolesti. Prepoznaje se potreba i važnost palijativne skrbi u procesu umiranja zbog toga što palijativna skrb pomaže stvoriti okolnosti u kojima umiranje postaje dostojanstveno. Palijativna skrb obuhvaća samog pacijenta, njegovu obitelj te okolinu. Pruža se na više razina, pomaže osobi olakšati bol te pomaže u psihološkim, socijalnim i duhovnim potrebama. Jedna od važnijih razina palijativne skrbi je duhovna skrb. Duhovna skrb pomaže pacijentima da se lakše suoče sa krajem života koji se bliži, da pronađu smisao svog života, da se lakše nose sa tjeskobom te poboljšava kvalitetu života pacijenata. U svakom trenutku života čovjek treba očuvati dostojanstvo. Očuvanje dostojanstva čovjeka odnosi se na očuvanje individualnosti, samopoštovanje te ljudskosti. Prilikom umiranja u očuvanju dostojanstva čovjeka uvelike pomaže duhovnost. Kroz duhovnost se pomaže umirućem pacijentu da pobjedi strah od smrti i prihvati svoju bolest te pronađe mir i spokoj., In the modern age there is a more and more talk about death and dying persons who suffer of incurable diseases. The need and importance of palliative care is recognized in the process of dying because palliative care helps to create circumstances in which dying becomes dignified. Palliative care encompasses the patient himself, his family and the environment. It is provided on multiple levels, helps a person relieve pain and helps in psychological, social and spiritual needs. One of the most important levels of palliative care is spiritual care. Spiritual care helps patients to face the end of a life that approaches in easier way, to find the meaning of their lives, to cope with anxiety and improves the quality of life of patients. At any given moment of life, a man should preserve his dignity. Preserving the dignity of man refers to preserving individuality, self-esteem and humanity. During the process of dying the spirituality greatly helps to preserve the dignity of man. Through spirituality a dying patient gets help to defeat the fear of death, accept his sickness and find peace and serenity.

Demencija je veoma raširena i za sada neizlječiva bolest osobito raširena među starijim stanovništvom. Alzheimerova bolest najčešći je oblik demencije. Zbog njezine progresivne prirode oboljela osoba ne može samostalno funkcionirati i brinuti o sebi što dovodi do ovisnosti o drugima. Ulogu njegovatelja najčešće preuzimaju članovi obitelji ne imajući u vidu kompleksnost takvog oblika skrbi. Najčešće su suočeni s povećanim financijskim pritiskom, nemogućnošću usklađivanja obiteljskih i poslovnih obveza i nedostatkom vremena za sebe. Zbog nedovoljno znanja o bolesti i njezinom tijeku te nedostatku adekvatne socijalne podrške često se socijalno izoliraju. Upravo se zbog toga oni nazivaju „žrtvama bolesti“ jer demencija osim na oboljelu osobu značajne posljedice ostavlja i na samog njegovatelja., Dementia is a widespread and currently incurable disease which mainly affects older population. Alzhemeir is the most common cause of dementia. Because of its progressive nature, people with the disease cannot function on their own or take care of themselves, which leads to dependence on others. The role of a caregiver is usually taken over by members of the family without them realizing the complexity of such type of caregiving. They are most often faced with the increased financial pressure, inability to balance their family and business commitments and lack of free time. Caregivers are often socially isolated because of their inadequate knowledge about the disease and its progress and the lack of appropriate social support. This is the main reason why they are called “the victims of the disease“, as dementia significantly affects not only the person with the disease but also the caregiver.

Cilj teorijskog rada je povećati svijest o smrti, smanjiti anksioznost vezanu uz pitanja smrti te proučiti različite faktore koji utječu na strah o smrti. Smrt je još uvijek tabu tema te je potrebno istraživati anksioznost i strah od smrti. Socijalni radnici ne smiju dozvoliti da tema smrti i za njih bude tabu. Tijekom svog školovanja, ali i u radu s klijentima trebaju se educirati kako bi mogli razgovarati o temama vezanim uz razne gubitke pa i samu smrt. Stoga se ovaj rad bavi pitanjem straha od smrti u starijoj životnoj dobi i korelatima straha od smrti. Pregledom istraživanja utvrđeno je da postoji razlika u jačini straha od smrti između različitih dobnih skupina, odnosa straha od smrti te zadovoljstva životom. Starije osobe u odnosu na ostale dobne skupine manje boje smrti, no neka istraživanja govore kako strah od smrti podjednako doživljavaju i mlađe i starije osobe. Vezano uz zadovoljstvo životom nalazi iz literature upućuju na negativnu povezanost sa strahom od smrti. Također su navedene i spolne razlike u odnosu na strah od smrti te se žene više boje smrti ali ju isto tako i više prihvaćaju dok muškarci imaju nižu stopu straha od smrti ali više smrt izbjegavaju. Na kraju je naveden i utjecaj religioznosti na strah od smrti te osobe koje su intrinzično religiozne imaju manji osjećaj straha od smrti., The aim of the theoretical work is to increase the consciousness of death, reduce anxiety related to death issues, and study the various factors that affect the fear of death. Death is still a taboo topic and it is necessary to investigate anxiety and fear of death. Social workers should not allow the theme of death to be taboo for them. During their schooling, as well as in work with clients, they should be educated so they can talk about issues related to various losses and even death itself. Therefore, this paper deals with the fear of death in old age and the correlations of fear of death. A survey found that there is a difference in the strength of fear of death between different age groups, the relationship between fear of death and life satisfaction. Older people compared to other age groups are less affected by death, but some research suggests that fear of death is equally experienced by both younger and older people. Concerning life satisfaction, the findings from the literature point to a negative connection with fear of death. Gender differences are also compared to the fear of death and women are more likely to accept it as men have a lower rate of fear of death, but more death is avoided. Finally, the influence of religiosity on death fears so people who are intrinsically religious have a lesser sense of fear of death.

Tjelesno kažnjavanje je u mnogim kulturama tradicionalna odgojna metoda djece. Tijekom godina utvrđene su mnoge štetne posljedice koje tjelesno kažnjavanje ima na dijete. U Hrvatskoj je i dalje prisutan pozitivan stav prema tjelesnom kažnjavanju djece iako postoji zakonska zabrana i poznate su štetne posljedice za dijete. Ovo istraživanje je ispitivalo kakve stavove o tjelesnom kažnjavanju imaju studenti Sveučilišta u Zagrebu. Studenti su iskazivali više negativne stavove prema tjelesnom kažnjavanju djece te također iskazuju rijetko doživljavanje tjelesnog kažnjavanja u djetinjstvu- U istraživanju su se utvrđivale razlike i povezanosti u stavovima s obzirom na neka osobna obilježja sudionika (spol, mjesto življenja, veličina obitelji, vrsta studija, zadovoljstvo odgojem) gdje su statistički značajne razlike i povezanosti pokazane samo u nekim obilježjima (spol, vrsta studija i zadovoljstvo odgojem). Istraživanje je također ispitivalo povezanost iskustva doživljenog tjelesnog kažnjavanja i stava o tjelesnom kažnjavanju djece gdje je utvrđeno kako studenti koji su češće doživljavali tjelesno kažnjavanje imaju više pozitivne stavove prema njemu. U ovu problematiku je uveden i pojam opravdavanja takvog postupanja koji je pokazao da ima značajnu ulogu u oblikovanju stava o tjelesnom kažnjavanju. Posljednja problematika kojom se bavilo ovo istraživanje je educiranost studenata o tjelesnom kažnjavanju djece. Rezultati pokazuju kako edukacija studenata na ovaj način nije polučila razlikama u njihovim stavovima, ali i da postoji velik broj studenata koji nije upoznat sa zakonskom zabranom tjelesnog kažnjavanja djece., Corporal punishment is a traditional method of upbringing in many cultures. Over the years, many of the damaging consequences of corporal punishment have been identified on the child. In Croatia, there is still a positive attitude towards corporal punishment of children, although there is a legal ban and there are known damaging consequences for the child. This research explored what kind of attitudes toward corporal punishment have students of the University of Zagreb. The students showed more negative attitudes towards corporal punishment of children and also show a rare experience of corporal punishment in childhood. The research identified differences and attitudes in relation to some personal characteristics of the participant (gender, place of residence, family size, type of study, contentment of upbringing) where statistically significant differences and correlations are shown only in some characteristics (gender, type of study, and contentment of upbringing). The research also identified the correlation between the experience of corporal punishment and the attitude of corporal punishment of children where it was found that students who more frequently experienced bodily punishment had more positive attitudes toward it. The issue of justifying such behavior has also been introduced in this issue, which has proved to play a significant role in shaping the attitude of corporal punishment. The last issue of this research is the education of students about corporal punishment of children. The results show that the education of students in this way did not differ in their attitudes, but also that there are a large number of students who are not familiar with the statutory ban on corporal punishment of children.

S progresivnim porastom broja starijih osoba u društvu, raste i potreba da im se olakša svakodnevno suočavanje s raznim preprekama na koje nailaze zbog visoke dobi. Uvidjelo se kako tehnologija u takvim situacijama može biti od velike pomoći te je započeo razvoj koncepta pametnog starenja. Koncept pametnog starenja se odnosi na revolucionarnu promjenu paradigme koja se okreće od negativnih koncepata koji impliciraju na nevoljkost prihvaćanja kasnijih stadija života prema pozitivnom prihvaćanju procesa starenja. Cilj ovog rada je pregled dosadašnjih teorijskih promišljanja i istraživanja provedenih o ovome konceptu kako bi se ponudio pregledni prikaz spoznaja na području pametnog starenja. Objašnjava se ESHTAM model koji proučava spremnost na korištenje tehnologije u starijoj dobi te se navode načini prihvaćanja koncepta pametnog starenja uz korištenje tehnologije, ali i bez njega. Razmatra se poboljšanje kvalitete života u starijoj dobi kroz kognitivnu stimulaciju, fizičku aktivnost i uravnoteženu prehranu te kako je moguće iskoristiti pomoć moderne tehnologije pri povećanju kognitivne funkcionalnosti, fizičkog napretka i socijalne uključenosti starijih osoba. Analizira se provedba pametnog stanovanja te utjecaj koncepta pametnog starenja na zdravstveni sustav, a naposljetku se navode i nedostatci navedenog koncepta., With the progressive increase in the number of older people in society, there is a growing need to facilitate their daily coping with the various barriers they encounter because of their high age. It has been seen that technology in such situations can be of great help and has started developing the concept of smart ageing. The concept of smart ageing refers to the revolutionary paradigm shift that revolves around the negative concepts which imply the reluctance to accept the later stages of life towards the positive acceptance of the aging process. The aim of this paper is to review the theoretical reflections and researches carried out on this concept in order to offer a review of the knowledge in the field of smart ageing. The ESHTAM model is explained, which examines the willingness to use technology in old age and identifies ways of accepting the concept of smart ageing using technology, but also without using it. It is considered to improve the quality of life in older age through cognitive stimulation, physical activity and balanced nutrition and also how it is possible to use the help of modern technology to increase cognitive functionalities, physical progress and social involvement of older people. The implementation of smart housing and the impact of the smart ageing concept on the health system are analysed, and, finally,the shortcomings of the concept are cited.

Ovaj rad proučava odnos palijativne skrbi i utjecaj bolesti na dostojanstvo starijih osoba. Točnije, bavi se (1) teorijskim određenjm palijativne skrbi, (2) određenjem i klasifikacijom dostojanstva, (3) intervencijama skrbi kod palijativnih bolesnika, (4) teorijom privrženosti kao poveznicom palijativne skrbi i dostojanstva, (5) utjecajem kancerogenih i nekancerogenih bolesti na dostojanstvo starijih osoba, te (6) ulogom socijalnog rada i normativnog okvira u onkologiji i palijativnoj skrbi. Cilj ovog preglednog rada je povezati spoznaje koje se odnose na dostojanstvo starijih i bolesnih osoba uslijed utjecaja kancerogenih i nekancerogenih bolesti i nalaze o širokim potrebama oboljelih za palijativnom skrbi interdisciplinarnog tima. Vidljivo je kako palijativna skrb pružena pacijentu ovisi o mnogo vanjskih faktora i kako malo vremena ostaje na raspolaganju da pomognemo pacijentu osjetiti dostojanstvo života i u približavanju smrti., This paper examines the relationship between palliative care and the impact of illness on the dignity of the elderly. More specifically, it deals with (1) the theoretical determination of palliative care, (2) the definition and classification of dignity, (3) care interventions in palliative patients, (4) theories of attachment as a link to palliative care and dignity, (5) the influence of cancerous and non-cancerous diseases on the dignity of the elderly, and (6) the role of social work and the normative framework in oncology and palliative care. The aim of this review is to connect the findings related to the dignity of older and sick people due to the effects of cancerous and non-cancerous diseases and the findings on the broad needs of palliative care patients provided from interdisciplinary team. It is obvious that palliative care that is provided to the patient depends on many external factors and how little time remains available to help the patient feel the dignity of life in the approach of death.

Donošenjem prvog Zakona o probaciji 2009. godine, u Hrvatskoj se uspostavlja probacijski sustav. Zbog velikih troškova te prenapučenosti zatvorskog sustava, uz druge razloge, potiče se provođenje alternativnih sankcija koje bi dovele do smanjenja broja zatvorenika te manjih troškova. Tako se, uz rad za opće dobro i uvjetnu osudu koji postoje i otprije u kaznenopravnom sustavu u Hrvatskoj, javljaju mnogu drugi probacijski poslovi. Također, dolazi do novog zanimanja, onog probacijskog službenika koji obavlja probacijske poslove. Probacija je definirana kao nadzirana i uvjetovana sloboda počinitelja nekog kaznenog djela gdje probacijski službenici poduzimaju korake usmjerene na resocijalizaciju osuđenika, smanjenje rizika od recidivizma počinitelja. Isto tako, cilj je i zaštita društvene zajednice. Danas na području Hrvatske djeluje Središnji ured te 14 probacijskih ureda. Također, 2017. godine proveden je pilot-projekt elektroničkog nadzora koji se pokazao uspješnim gdje su suradnici na projektu iskazali potrebu trajnog uvođenja ove sankcije u kaznenopravni sustav. Za rad probacijskog sustava nužna je i važna suradnja različitih partnera koji sa svojim znanjima i vještinama mogu pridonijeti rješavanju društvenih problema te je potrebno jačati postojeće temelje, ali i stvarati nove oblike suradnje., By adopting the first Probation Act in 2009, a probation system is established in Croatia. Due to the high costs and overcrowding of the prison system, and for other reasons, it is encouraged to implement alternative sanctions that would lead to a reduction in the number of prisoners and lower costs. Thus, in addition to the community service and suspended sanction that exists in the criminal justice system in Croatia, there are many other probationary jobs. Also, there is a new profession, the probation officer who conducts probation jobs. Probation is defined as the controlled and conditioned freedom of the perpetrator of a criminal offense where probation officers take steps to re-socialize the convicts, reducing the risk of the perpetrator’s recidivism. The objective is also the protection of the community. Today in the territory of Croatia is the Central office with 14 probation offices. Also, in 2017, an electronic control pilot project was implemented, which proved to be successful where project collaborators expressed the need for the permanent introduction of this sanction into the criminal justice system. For the work of the probation system, it is also important to cooperate with different partners who can contribute to solve social problems with their knowledge and skills and need to strengthen the existing foundations, but also to create new forms of cooperation.

U mnogim modernim državama, a prema preporukama međunarodnih dokumenata, nastoji se prema mladima koji su počinili kazneno djelo, odnosno djela, postupati na način da se izbjegnu negativne posljedice vođenja formalnog postupka na njegovu cjelokupnu ličnost. Primjenu načela svrhovitosti poznaje i naš zakonodavni sustav, a Zakon o sudovima za mladež (NN 56/2015) omogućuje njegovu primjenu u svim fazama postupanja prema mladima u sukobu sa zakonom. U ovom radu poseban naglasak će se staviti na primjenu načela svrhovitosti u prethodnom postupku gdje odluku o nepokretanju kaznenog postupka donosi državni odvjetnik, a tu odluku može uvjetovati, između ostalog, spremnošću da se mlada osoba uključi u postupak posredovanja kroz izvansudsku nagodbu. Model izvansudske nagodbe je koncept restorativne pravde. U postupku posredovanja sudjeluju počinitelj kaznenog djela te žrtva kao i profesionalni posrednik, a s ciljem razrješavanja posljedica kaznenog djela. Cilj ovog modela je zaštita žrtve, nadoknada štete prouzročena kaznenim djelom, preuzimanje odgovornosti za svoje ponašanje od strane počinitelja, mogućnost žrtve da iznese kako je djelo utjecalo na nj te dobrovoljnost svih uključenih strana. Kako bi bolje razumjeli model izvansudske nagodbe u radu će se detaljnije teorijski obuhvatiti njegov značaj, svrha i tijek te će se spomenuti istraživanja provedena u svrhu evaluacije uspješnosti ovog modela., In many modern states, with regard to the recommendations of international documents, the aim is to act in a manner so that the negative effects on personality in young offenders caused by conducting of trial proceedings shall be avoided. The efficiency principle is applied in our legislative system and the Juvenile Courts Act (Official Gazette no. 56/2015) makes it possible to apply it in at all stages of a process considering minors in conflict with the law. In this work, special emphasis shall be put on the application of the efficiency principle in the preparation procedure where a decision not to initiate infringement proceedings is made by the prosecutor and that decision may be made conditional upon, inter alia, the minor's willingness to include in mediation procedure through an out-of-court settlement. The applied type of out-of-court settlement is a concept of restorative justice. The parties participating in the mediation process are the offender and the victim, as well as the professional intermediary with the aim to resolve the consequences of the offence. The aim of this model is to protect the victims, to provide a compensation caused by the offence, offender's accountability for behaviour, the opportunity for the victim to share how it influenced it and the voluntariness of all parties included. In order to understand the model of the out-of-court settlement better, the work shall theoretically and up to some details include its significance, purpose and course, as well as some researches that shall be mentioned in order to evaluate the efficacy of this model.
