O objetivo da presente pesquisa foi mostrar a necessidade de se discutir em sala de aula estratégias para que o desenvolvimento sustentável seja promovido. Através da presente pesquisa pode-se constatar que os projetos voltados para a promoção do desenvolvimento sustentável não devem somente se limitar ao contexto regional e social. Para que haja êxito nesses processos é necessário que, por um longo tempo, exista compromisso com a permanência das soluções mobilizadas. Isto por que o objetivo da sustentabilidade não diz respeito apenas à preservação dos recursos naturais. Ela também leva em consideração o desencadeamento dos processos históricos resultantes dessa preservação e mostra a necessidade da evolução de alternativas tecnológicas que permitam que tal preservação aconteça. Embora os dados coletados demonstrem que todos os entrevistados sabem o que é desenvolvimento sustentável, mediante a análise completa dos dados, pode-se concluir que o que o conhecimento dos alunos entrevistados ainda é pouco satisfatório em relação ao que é desenvolvimento sustentável e quais as estratégias para a sua promoção. It is a survey of exploratory, descriptive in nature and with a quantitative approach, developed with the students of the third sentence of the Environmental Engineering Course, UFCG, Campus de Pombal, State of Paraiba. The aim of this research was to show the need to discuss in classroom strategies for sustainable development is promoted. Through this research, it can be seen that the projects aimed at promoting sustainable development should not only be limited to regional and social context. In order to have success in these proceedings requires that, for a long time, there is commitment to permanence of deployed solutions. This is because the goal of sustainability is not just about the conservation of natural resources. It also takes into consideration the triggering of historical processes resulting from this conservation and shows the need for the development of alternative technologies that enable such preservation happen. Although the data collected show that all respondents know what is sustainable development through the full analysis of the data, it can be concluded that the knowledge of the students interviewed is still unsatisfactory in relation to what sustainable development is and what strategies to promote it.

A presente dissertação manifesta através do Dicionário de Apicultura, representa o repertório de léxicos apícolas técnico-científicos que permeiam a ciência, a prática da Apicultura, o cotidiano da humanidade. De forma sucinta, apresentam-se considerações sobre os avanços tecnológicos da Apicultura, bem como, transitando pelo marco introdutório das abelhas africanas no Brasil, observando a importância da apicultura racional e sua relação com a sustentabilidade. Em segundo momento, elucidam-se conceitos sobre o léxico, a importância da definição referentes aos termos técnico-científicos e um embasamento pragmático sobre o enquadramento e a tipologia do Dicionário de Apicultura. Esta pesquisa foi desenvolvida na Universidade Federal da Paraíba, Campus Pombal/PB, dentro do Programa de Pós-Graduação de Sistemas Agroindustriais – PPGSA, denominado de Mestrado em Sistemas Agroindustriais, com objetivo de identificar e descrever terminologias próprias à Apicultura, termos técnico-científicos delimitados através da teoria da semasiologia e onomasiologia, delimitando os conceitos referentes a cada palavra. O corpus deu-se a partir da seleção e catalogação de termos apícolas, utilizados em bibliografias específicas da área, dentre as quais: livros, revistas, periódicos, anais. Assim, encontram-se reunidos nesta dissertação a condensação do conhecimento sistemático da Apicultura na forma de Dicionário. Beekeeping is an area that has a specific knowledge through its terminology and is shared by biologists, beekeepers, technicians in the area, institutions that use it for their survival and that are concerned with environmental issues, as well as with the Production that pollination can provide. The present dissertation, through the Dictionary of Apiculture, represents the repertoire of technical-scientific apicultural lexicons that permeate science, the practice of Apiculture, the daily life of humanity. Briefly, we present some considerations about the technological advances of Beekeeping, as well as the introduction of African bees in Brazil, observing the importance of rational beekeeping and its relation to sustainability. Secondly, concepts about the lexicon, the importance of the definition referring to technical-scientific terms and a pragmatic basis on the framing and typology of the Dictionary of Apiculture are elucidated. This research was developed at the Federal University of Paraíba, Campus Pombal/PB, within the Postgraduate Program in Agroindustrial Systems - PPGSA, named Master in Agroindustrial Systems, with the objective of identifying and describing beekeeping terminology, technical and scientific terms Delimited through the theory of semasiology and onomasiology, delimiting the concepts referring to each word. The corpus was based on the selection and cataloging of apicultural terms, used in specific bibliographies of the area, among which: books, magazines, periodicals, annals. Thus, we find in this dissertation the condensation of the systematic knowledge of Apiculture in the form of Dictionary.

O projeto surgiu com o intuito de suprir as necessidades dos criadores e dos animais, que eram: as condições de conforto térmico, por se tratar de uma região muito quente e ter sua importância para esse tipo de criação; o direcionamento dos desejos, que é a grande preocupação dos criadores, pois o suíno é um grande poluidor do meio ambiente e o dimensionamento do espaço adequado para os animais, devido a necessidade de espaço diferentes para cada idade. A idealização estipulou a quantidade de criadores, dez (10) por módulo, como também a quantidade de animais, vinte e seis (26) por cada criador, para que as condições citadas anteriormente não extrapolassem. Dessa forma criou-se o projeto arquitetônico de uma suinocultura coletiva, em nível de anteprojeto. E com o projeto concluido obteve-se a especificação dos matérias, como também suas quantidades e consequentemente o orçamento dos custos e mão de obra desse projeto, de forma a ajudar os criadores a ter uma melhor infraestrutura para sua criação e consequentemente uma melhor qualidade de vida e maior valor de mercado. In view of the precarious infrastructure conditions of the pig creators observed in the pigsty in the town of Pombal in the Hinterland of Paraiba, it was idealized the achievement of an architectural project of a collective swine breeding with the appropriate guidelines for the creation. The project began to meet the needs of the creators and the animals, which were: the conditions of thermal comfort, because it is a very hot region and have its importance for this type of creation; The directing of the desires, which is the great concern of the farmers, since the pig is a great polluter of the environment and the adequate space design for the animals, due to the need of different space for each age. Idealization stipulated the number of creators, ten (10) per module, as well as the number of animals, thirty-six (36) per creator, so that the above-mentioned conditions did not exceed. In this way the architectural project of a collective swine breeding was created, at the level of preliminary design. And with the project ready got the specification of the materials, as well as their quantities and consequently the budget of the costs and manpower of this project, in order to help the creators to have a better infrastructure for their creation and consequently a better quality of life and greater market value.

Nesse sentido, objetivou-se avaliar o cultivo do milho irrigado com água de diferentes níveis salinos sob diferentes doses de esterco bovino. O experimento foi realizado em ambiente protegido vinculado ao Centro de Ciências e Tecnologia Agroalimentar (CCTA) da Universidade Federal de Campina Grande (UFCG), localizado no município de Pombal, PB. Utilizou-se o delineamento experimental de blocos casualizados, com esquema fatorial (5 x 4), relativo a cinco níveis de condutividade elétrica da agua de irrigação (CEa), S1- água de abastecimento com CEa de 0,3 dS m-1, S2 – CEa de 0,8 dS m-1, S3- CEa de 1,3 dS m-1, S4- CEa de 1,8 dS m-1 e S5- CEa de 2,3 dS m-1, combinados com quatro doses de adubação, sendo D1- sem adubação (testemunha), D2- 50% de esterco bovino, D3- 100% de esterco bovino e D4- 125% de esterco bovino. Foram avaliados o crescimento, as trocas gasosas, a fluorescência da clorofila a, os índices fisiológicos, e a fitomassa seca. O crescimento e a fitomassa seca aos 30 DAS, e as trocas gasosas, sobretudo a condutância estomática e a transpiração do milho são comprometidas pelo aumento salinidade da água de irrigação, porém esse aumento influenciou num maior incremento na fluorescência da clorofila a e nos índices fisiológicos. O aumento das doses de esterco bovino reduziram os índices fisiológicos, porém influenciaram em um maior incremento nas trocas gasosas, no crescimento e no maior acúmulo de fitomassa seca milho. Na eficiência instantânea no uso da água, a adubação com esterco bovino só favoreceu num maior incremento até a dose de 50%. O aumento das doses de esterco bovino pode minimizar um pouco os efeitos deletérios dos sais no diâmetro do colmo e na fitomassa seca de colmo e folhas do milho aos 30 DAS. Corn cultivation exerts a great socioeconomic expression in the Brazilian scenario, being one of the main cereals cultivated in the Northeast region, which in addition to facing serious problems with scarcity of water resources, mainly in its qualitative aspect, also verified high levels of salts. The objective of this study was to evaluate the cultivation of maize irrigated with water of different saline levels under different doses of bovine manure. The experiment was carried out in a protected environment linked to the Agricultural Science and Technology Center (CCTA) of the Federal University of Campina Grande (UFCG), located in the city of Pombal, PB. The experimental design was a randomized block design, with a factorial scheme (5 x 4), related to five levels of electrical conductivity of the irrigation water (CEa), S1 water supply with CEa of 0.3 dS m-1, S2-CEa of 0.8 dS m-1, S3-CEa of 1.3 dS m-1, S4-CEa of 1.8 dS m-1 and S5-CEa of 2.3 dS m-1, combined with four doses of fertilization, being D1 without fertilization (control), D2-50% bovine manure, D3- 100% bovine manure and D4-125% bovine manure. Growth, gas exchange, chlorophyll a fluorescence, physiological indexes, and dry biomass were evaluated. Growth and dry matter at 30 DAS, and gas exchange, especially stomatal conductance and corn transpiration, are compromised by increased salinity of irrigation water, but this increase influenced a greater increase in chlorophyll a fluorescence and in physiological indices. Increased doses of bovine manure reduced the physiological indexes, but influenced a greater increase in gas exchange, growth and greater accumulation of dried corn phytomass. In the instantaneous efficiency in the use of the water, the manure with bovine manure only favored in a greater increment until the dose of 50%. Increasing doses of bovine manure can somewhat minimize the deleterious effects of salts on stalk diameter and dry matter of corn stalk and leaves at 30 DAS.

Com isso, o padrão de consumo se tornou um fator determinante para a degradação ambiental. Dessa forma procura-se alternativas viáveis para os resíduos e descartes oriundos de artefatos de alumínio. Diante dessa realidade o presente estudo traz a Logística Reversa como uma alternativa a questões relacionadas ao processo de sustentabilidade das empresas, através de um estudo de caso em indústrias de alumínio no município de Catolé do Rocha-PB. Como procedimento metodológico foi adotado um estudo de caso com o uso da pesquisa descritiva, na qual se tomou por base de estudo. As informações foram coletadas por meio de um questionário semiestruturado aplicado nas empresas. Os resultados observados mostraram que ao utilizar a prática da logística reversa nas empresas estudadas, além de contribuições em termos financeiros e ambientais, as mesmas apresentaram benefícios quanto a imagem institucional diante do consumidor. Outro aspecto relaciona-se a redução dos custos de produção, seguindo as regras estabelecidas pela legislação ambiental. Com esse estudo conclui-se, que a logística reversa é necessária para o desenvolvimento da atividade industrial, as empresas conseguem bons resultados para o ambiente com a reutilização de materiais antes depositados no meio ambiente mudando a mentalidade da população para a questão do consumo consciente. Environmental issues are gaining prominence for allowing the company an improvement in quality of life, and an administrative tool highly relevant in this process that is the reverse logistics. Thus, the pattern of consumption has become a determining factor in environmental degradation. Thus they seek to viable alternatives for waste disposal and coming from aluminum artifacts. Given this reality this study brings Reverse Logistics as an alternative to issues related to the process of sustainable enterprises, through a case study in aluminum industries in Catole of Rocha-PB municipality. As methodological procedure adopted was a case study with the use of descriptive research, which was taken by study basis, the information was collected through a semi-structured questionnaire applied in companies. The results showed that when using the practice of reverse logistics in the companies studied as well as contributions in financial and environmental terms the same showed benefit as the institutional image before the consumers, another aspect relates to the reduction of production costs following the rules by environmental legislation. With this study we conclude that reverse logistics is necessary for the development of industrial activity, companies achieve good results for the environment by reusing materials before disposed in the environment by changing the mentality of the population to the issue of conscious consumption.

Como exemplo disso, foi o que o Brasil viveu em meados dos anos 1970 e 1980, o qual se tratou de um período em que os sujeitos sociais buscavam seus direitos políticos e igualitários, em virtude da resistência ao regime autoritário da época. Com o passar dos anos, ocorreu o surgimento de outras formas de organização popular institucionalizada que tinham como propósito acessar uma democracia humanizada. Com base nessa conjuntura histórica e na luta oscilante do cooperativismo brasileiro, existe atualmente uma legislação específica. A Cooperativa de Assessoria e Serviços Múltiplos ao Desenvolvimento Rural – COOPERVIDA - surgiu de um processo de debate forte e coletivo de uma nova proposta de assessoria técnica voltada para a base agroecológica e camponesa. Pensou-se no nome e na logomarca, para os quais tivessem uma maior representação da proposta a ser trabalhada na agricultura familiar, como sendo Cooper = Cooperativa, Vida = novo, em que a junção desses dois termos surgiu a COOPERVIDA. Já para a logomarca, partiu-se da ideia de terra que brota, mãos que ajuda a semear, transplante. Portanto, em 21 de novembro de 1999 nasceu a organização da referida pesquisa. Este trabalho tem como objetivo realizar o estudo sobre a importância socioeconômica e cultural da COOPERVIDA na agricultura familiar do Rio Grande do Norte. A metodologia utilizada foi o estudo de caso através de duas fases, uma exploratória e outra de análises de dados. Na primeira, houve o resgate no acervo documental, atas, contratos de projetos, registros fotográficos e, para corroborar com essas informações, foram feitas entrevistas com auxílio de questionário norteador. O grupo de perguntas dependia da função exercida de cada sócio ou membro. A segunda fase trouxe os resultados dos projetos executados e foram avaliados os quantitativos numéricos dos mesmos. As ações desenvolvidas pela cooperativa têm importância no fortalecimento da agricultura familiar, na economia solidária e nos processos de empoderamento das famílias, o que vem a contribuir com a geração de oportunidades de trabalho e renda no campo e consequentemente a redução do êxodo rural. Através da análise dos dados, conclui-se que a Cooperativa de Assessoria e Serviços Múltiplos ao Desenvolvimento Rural – COOPERVIDA atendeu a 36.255 agricultores/as, 25 municípios do Rio Grande do Norte, em sete projetos com ações pautadas no campo da agroecologia, agricultura familiar, geração e gênero. Logo pode ser considerada como de suma importância para o setor. Na questão dos desafios, foi constatado que a escassez em capacitação técnicoprofissional e a situação financeira são as dificuldades que requerem maiores cuidados, visto que foi citado por 14 entrevistados. Já a via de acesso às comunidades não é um fator alarmante, que foi citado apenas por um dos entrevistados. The reality of social movements is quite dynamic, diverse and complex, for instance what Brazil experienced in the mid-1970s and 1980s, that was a period in which the social subjects fought for their political and equal rights, due to the resistance to the authoritarian regime of the time. Over the years, there was the arising of other forms of institutionalized popular organization that were meant to access a humanized democracy. Based on this historical conjuncture and oscillating struggle of Brazilian cooperatives, there is now an specific legislation. The Cooperative Assistance and Multiple Services to Rural Development - Coopervida came from a strong and collective process of debate of a new proposal for technical assistance focused on agroecology and rural based. The name and the logo were thought up to have a better representation of the proposal being worked on the farms of the families, as Cooper=Cooperative = Life = new, where the combination of these two terms became Coopervida. As for the logo, it started from the idea of the land that springs, hands that help to sow, transplantating. So on November 21st, 1999 the organization of the research was born. This paper aims to conduct a study on the socioeconomic and cultural importance of COOPERVIDA in family farming in Rio Grande do Norte. The methodology used was the case study through two phases, exploratory and data analysis. At first, there was the rescue of the document collection, minutes, project contracts, and photographic records to corroborate this information, interviews were made with questionnaire aid. The group of questions depended, according to the functions performed by each partner or member. The second phase brought the results of the projects implemented, and evaluated its numerical quantity. The actions developed by the cooperative are important for the strengthening of family agriculture, economic solidarity and empowerment processes of families, which is to contribute to the generation of employment and income opportunities in the countryside and consequently the reduction of the rural exodus. By analyzing the data it was concluded that the Cooperative Advisory and Multiple Services to Rural Development - COOPERVIDA attended 36.255 farmers, in 25 municipalities of Rio Grande do Norte, in seven projects with actions based on the field of agroecology, family farming, generation and gender. The logo can be considered very important for the sector. Regarding the challenges, it was seen that the shortage in professional technical training and financial condition are the difficulties that encumber greater care, since it was cited by 14 interviewees. On the other hand, the route of access to communities is not an alarming factor, since it was cited by only one of the interviewees.

Nesse sentido, objetivou-se avaliar diferentes quantidades e períodos de incorporação da palha de carnaúba no desempenho agroeconômico do coentro. O experimento foi conduzido na Fazenda Experimental Rafael Fernandes, no distrito de Alagoinha, zona rural de Mossoró-RN, no período de julho a outubro de 2014. O delineamento experimental utilizado foi o de blocos completos casualizados, com os tratamentos arranjados em esquema fatorial 5 x 4, com três repetições. O primeiro fator foi constituído da combinação de cinco quantidades de palha de carnaúba (0,0; 1,5; 2,5; 3,5; e 4,5 kg m-2 de canteiro) e o segundo fator pelos períodos de incorporação (21; 42; 63; e 84 dias antes da semeadura). A cultivar de coentro utilizado foi a “Verdão”. As características avaliadas foram: altura da planta, número de hastes, massa verde, número de molhos e massa seca de coentro. Foram utilizados indicadores econômicos, tais como: renda bruta, renda líquida, taxa de retorno e índice de lucratividade. Houve interação significativa entre os fatores-tratamentos para massa verde, número de molhos e massa seca, com exceção para a altura de planta e número de hastes. O melhor desempenho agronômico foi observado na quantidade de 4,5 kg m-2 de palha de carnaúba com o número médio de molhos de 7,5; 8,0; 15,4 e 16,0 nos períodos de 21; 42; 63 e 84 dias antes a semeadura respectivamente. A maior eficiência econômica foi observada na quantidade de 4,5 kg m-2aos 84 dias de incorporação da palha de carnaúba, com valores médios de renda bruta de R$ 2.445,00; renda líquida de 1.840,00; taxa de retorno de R$ 3,00 e índice de lucratividade de 75,3%, para uma área de produção de 100 m2 de canteiro. The use of waste organic wastes after processing is of paramount importance to small producers of vegetables. In this sense, the objective was to evaluate different amounts and periods of incorporation of the carnauba straw in the agroeconomic performance of the coriander. The experiment was conducted at the Rafael Fernandes Experimental Farm, in the Alagoinha district, in the rural area of ​​Mossoró-RN, from July to October 2014. The experimental design was a randomized complete block, with treatments arranged in factorial scheme 5 x 4, with three replicates. The first factor consisted of the combination of five quantities of carnauba straw (0.0, 1.5, 2.5, 3.5, and 4.5 kg m-2 of bed) and the second factor by the incorporation periods (21, 42, 63, and 84 days before sowing). The cultivar of coriander used was the "Verdão". The evaluated characteristics were: plant height, number of stems, green mass, number of sauces and dry mass of coriander. Economic indicators were used, such as: gross income, net income, rate of return and profitability index. There was a significant interaction between the factors-treatments for green mass, number of sauces and dry mass, except for plant height and number of stems. The best agronomic performance was observed in the amount of 4.5 kg m-2 of carnauba straw with the average number of sauces of 7.5; 8.0; 15.4 and 16.0 in the periods of 21; 42; 63 and 84 days before sowing respectively. The highest economic efficiency was observed in the amount of 4.5 kg m-2 to the 84 days of incorporation of carnauba straw, with average gross income values ​​of R $ 2,445.00; net income of 1,840.00; rate of return of R $ 3.00 and profitability index of 75.3%, for a production area of ​​100 m2 of plot.

Baseado nisso, este trabalho tem por objetivo avaliar o nível de sustentabilidade da produção de hortaliças nos municípios de Lagoa Seca e Pombal, no Estado da Paraíba. Quanto aos procedimentos metodológicos, o estudo foi realizado na comunidade Várzea Comprida, Sertão da Paraíba e na Feira Agropecuária Regional de Campina Grande, Agreste da Paraíba, a coleta de dados foi feita mediante questionários aplicados diretamente aos produtores e com base nestes dados foram calculados os índices de qualidade de vida, capital social e ambiente, para então calcular o índice de sustentabilidade e avaliar o nível de sustentabilidade nas duas áreas em estudo. Os resultados da pesquisa revelam que as duas regiões atingiram o nível médio da sustentabilidade. Ao comparar os índices, ficou evidente que a qualidade de vida foi um indicador que contribuiu de maneira equitativa nas duas áreas em estudo, o capital social apresentou-se mais forte na comunidade Várzea Comprida já o indicador ambiental apresentou-se em números maiores na feira agroecológica. Os produtores estudados utilizaram-se dos recursos naturais como fatores de produção e possuíam práticas de preservação e conservação destes, porém estas práticas podem ser melhoradas para que se atinja o nível alto da sustentabilidade. Nos aspectos ambientais têm-se como prognósticos: manter o solo com cobertura vegetal para evitar a erosão hídrica e eólica e fazer banquetas individuais para a produção de hortaliças. Com relação à qualidade de vida, os produtores tinham pouco acesso a lazer, pois os mesmos podem fazer artesanatos, pintar, bordar, recortar, colar, atividades que contribuem para a autoestima, relaxamento e antiestresse dos que praticam e quanto aos aspectos sanitários o poder público precisa implantar sistema de saneamento básico e infraestrutura principalmente na comunidade Várzea Comprida dos Oliveiras. Já no Capital Social, faz-se necessário que os produtores da feira, estejam mais próximos das associações rurais para que juntos possam lutar pelas suas reivindicações e conquistar seus direitos. The world production of vegetables occupies an area around 89 million hectares, with a total production of 1.4 billion tons, this is an activity that provides great opportunities for family farming in the northeast region of Brazil, providing the economic and social development of those who exercise this occupation. Based on this, this work aims to evaluate the level of sustainability of the production of vegetables in the municipalities of Lagoa Seca and Pombal, in the State of Paraíba. As regards procedures methodologies, the study was carried out in the Várzea Comprida, Sertão da Paraíba and Feira Agropecuária Regional of Campina Grande, Agreste of Paraíba, the data collection was done through questionnaires applied directly to producers and based on these data the quality of life, social capital and the environment, to then calculate the sustainability index and assess the level of sustainability in the two areas under study. The results of the survey reveal that the two regions reached the level of sustainability. When comparing the indices, it was evident that the quality of life was a indicator that contributed in an equitable way in the two areas under study, social capital was more strong in the Várzea Comprida community already the environmental indicator was presented in larger numbers at the fair agroecological. The studied producers used natural resources as factors of production and preservation and conservation practices, but these practices can be high level of sustainability. In environmental aspects, the prognosis is to maintain the soil with vegetation cover to prevent water and wind erosion and to make individual stools for the production of vegetables. With regard to quality of life, producers had little access to leisure because they could make crafts, paint, embroider, cut, paste, activities that contribute to self-esteem, relaxation and and the sanitary aspects the public power needs to implement a system of basic sanitation and infrastructure mainly in the Várzea Comprida dos Oliveiras community. Already in Capital Social, it is necessary that the producers of the fair, are closer to the rural associations so that together can fight for their claims and win their rights.

No entanto, está ameaçada de extinção em consequência das alterações de seus ambientes, causadas principalmente pelo desmatamento, uso indiscriminado de agrotóxicos e pela ação predatória de meleiros. Portanto, objetivou-se com este trabalho estudar a arquitetura de ninho e manejo de abelha Jandaíra em criatório comercial, localizado na comunidade Baixio dos Albuquerque, no município de São João do Rio do Peixe, região do alto sertão da Paraíba. Os dados da pesquisa foram coletados durante o manejo de colônias alojadas em caixas racionais, medindo 70 cm de comprimento, 11 cm de largura e 13 cm de altura, no período de novembro de 2014 a julho de 2015. Para caracterização do ninho, foram mensurados os parâmetros relativos à área de crias e área de alimentos. Na área de crias, foram avaliados o número de discos por colônia, comprimento (cm), largura (cm) e altura(cm) dos discos, diâmetro (cm) e altura (cm) das células de crias, número de células de crias por cm2 e volume das células de crias (ml). Na área de alimentos, foram avaliados o número de potes de mel e de pólen por colônia, altura (cm) e diâmetro (cm) dos potes de mel e de pólen, volume dos potes de mel (ml) e peso dos potes de pólen (g). Na área de crias, foram encontrados, em média, 5,10 discos por colônia que apresentaram comprimento e largura 10,42 cm e 5,58 cm, respectivamente. Em relação às células de crias, foram encontradas 4,10 por cm2, cujo diâmetro e altura foram respectivamente de 0,52 e 0,79cm. Foram encontrados, em média, 30,41 potes de mel cuja altura, diâmetro e volume apresentaram, respectivamente, os valores médios de 3,07 cm, 3,05 cm e 6,73 ml. A média de potes de pólen foi de 12,21 unidades por colônia, com altura de 3,04 cm, 2,8 cm de diâmetro e 7,23 g de massa por pote. Potes de mel e de pólen estão diretamente relacionados com produção de mel e desenvolvimento da colônia. Os resultados sugerem que a criação de abelha Jandaíra em caixas racionais proporciona um melhor aproveitamento dos produtos elaborados por estes insetos, sem danificar a área de ninho nem comprometer o desenvolvimento das colônias, oferece melhores condições de manejo ao criador e evita a destruição da vegetação nativa. Jandaíra bee (Melipona subnitida DUCKE), popularly known by indigenous stingless bees, is a kind of melipona, widespread in the Brazilian northeast, the “caatinga” and the northeastern semi-arid region, although is threatened with extinction as a result of changes in their environment, caused mainly by deforestation, indiscriminate use of pesticides and the predatory actions by “Meleiros”. The objective was to study the nest architecture and management of Jandaíra bee at a commercial breeding facility, located in the community “Baixio dos Albuquerque”, in São João do Rio do Peixe, semi-arid region of Paraíba. The research data were collected during the colonies management housed in rational nesting boxes, measuring 70 cm long, 11cm wide and 13cm high, from November 2014 to July 2015. To characterize the nest, parameters related to brood area and food areawere measured. In the brood area,were evaluated the number of brood combs per colony, length (cm), width (cm) and height (cm) of the brood combs; diameter (cm) and height (cm) of the brood cells, number of brood cells per cm2 and the brood cells volume (ml). In the food area, were evaluated the number of honey pots and pollen pots per colony, height (cm) and diameter (cm) of the honey and pollen pots, honey pots volume (ml) and pollen pots weight (g). In the brood area, were found an average of 5.10 brood combs per colony, with length and width of 10,42cm and 5,58cm, respectively. Regarding the brood cells, were found 4.10 per cm2, with diameter and height of 0.52cm and 0.79cm, respectively. Was found an average of 30.41 honey pots, which height, diameter and volume showed, respectively, the mean values of 3,07cm, 3,05cm and 6,73ml. The mean number of pollen pots was 12.21 units per colony, with 3,04cm in height, 2,8cm in diameter and mass of 7,23g per pot. Honey and pollen pots are directly related with the colony development and honey production. The results suggest that the creation of Jandaíra bee on rational nesting boxes provides a better use of products made by these insects, without damaging the nest area, nor compromising the colonies development, offering better handling conditions to the beekeeper and preventing the destruction of native vegetation.

Os estados da região nordeste, em 2014, ocuparam o segundo lugar em produção, no qual a Paraíba teve uma produção em torno de 650 toneladas de mel. Esse novo cenário requer dos apicultores uma nova postura perante a atividade apícola. Diante desse novo momento, nossa pesquisa teve como objetivo demonstrar de que forma a aplicação dos custeios por absorção e variável podem auxiliar os produtores de mel na Associação dos Apicultores do Vale do Rio do Peixe no município de São João do Rio do Peixe no estado da Paraíba – APIVALE. Esta pesquisa tem caráter exploratório e, devido ao elevado grau de detalhamento, é um estudo de caso, feito a partir de pesquisa documental e entrevista semiestruturada. Adotamos o método quantitativo que permite a demonstração de resultados em números para posteriormente analisá-los. Os resultados indicaram que os sistemas de custeio por absorção e variável podem vir auxiliar os apicultores da APIVALE revelando a margem de contribuição, o ponto de equilíbrio, a margem de lucro, direcionando pontos ineficientes, eliminando custos e otimizando a produção. Como também, servindo como ferramenta de controle para tomada de decisões. Foi possível identificar que das 1.145 colmeias existentes, 57,7% das colmeias não estão produzindo, o que corresponde uma perda de aproximadamente 8.714 kg de mel. E das 42,3% que estão produzindo, 88,88% estão produzindo abaixo da média geral/colmeia que é de 13,2kg/colmeia. Porém, mesmo diante dessa baixa produção, a APIVALE em 2015 apresentou lucro de R$10.840,79 (dez mil oitocentos e quarenta reais e setenta e nove centavos), o que evidencia o potencial da associação e que se os sistemas de custeios por absorção e variável forem utilizadas para tomada de decisão pelos associados da APIVALE, estes terão condição de produzirem de forma eficaz. Neste estudo, objetivou-se otimizar a substituição parcial de gordura por inulina e fibra de laranja em mortadelas de peixe, mantendo seus parâmetros microbiológicos, sensoriais e físico-químicos de qualidade. Para tal, foram utilizados como substitutos de gordura, a inulina e a fibra de laranja, além da gordura vegetal hidrogenada. Foram realizadas análises microbiológicas, com estudo da vida de prateleira por um período de 70 dias. Foi realizada análise sensorial com 56 provadores não treinados, para os atributos de aparência, aroma, textura, sabor, da aceitação global e do teste de intenção de compra, além de determinar-se a composição centesimal dos produtos. Com os resultados das análises sensoriais e centesimais, otimizou-se os substitutos de gordura utilizados na mortadela. As mortadelas de peixe obedeceram aos critérios microbiológicos e físico-químicos estabelecidos pela legislação vigente no Brasil, com estabilidade satisfatória quando armazenados sob refrigeração por 70 dias. A melhor combinação de inulina e fibra de laranja minimizou o teor de gordura para 38%, com 20% de inulina e 42% de fibra de laranja, sem diminuir a qualidade das mortadelas. The consumption of healthier foods, such as low-fat, and have the same characteristics of the original product, becomes a challenge for the food industry. This study aimed to optimize the partial replacement of fat by inulin and orange fiber in fish bologna, keeping its microbiological parameters, sensory and physicochemical quality. To this end, it was used as fat replacers, inulin and orange fiber, addition of hydrogenated vegetable fat. Microbiological analyzes were performed, with shelf life study for a period of 70 days. Sensory analysis was performed with 56 untrained, for appearance attributes, aroma, texture, flavor, global acceptance and purchase intent test, and determined whether the chemical composition of the products. With the results of sensory and chemical analysis, it is optimized them fat substitutes used in bologna. The fish bologna met the microbiological and physico-chemical criteria established by law in Brazil, with satisfactory stability when stored under refrigeration for 70 days. The best combination of inulin and orange fiber minimized the fat content to 38%, 20% inulin and 42% orange fiber, without diminishing the quality of bologna.

Objetivou-se com este estudo avaliar a viabilidade e oportunidade de mercado na criação de Galinhas da Angola como parte do setor avícola. A coleta de dados ocorreu ao longo do ano de 2014 e meados de 2015 em dois municípios do estado do Ceará (Maracanaú e Cascavel), que se destacam no cenário nacional, na exploração comercial e industrial dessas aves. Verificou-se que ao atingirem 100 (cem) dias de idade quando apresentam no mínimo, 1,5kg/ave, são abatidas, atingindo uma média de abates de 3.000 galinhas angolas/mês, da linhagem Francesa, sendo o Kg comercializado (em setembro/2014) pelo valor de RS 16,00. O público consumidor que mais aprecia a carne é a classe média. Toda a produção é escoada na Grande Fortaleza e municípios vizinhos, tendo como público alvo, os restaurantes (70%), frigoríficos (28%) e pessoas que adquirem individualmente as aves já abatidas, direto com os produtores (2%). Observou-se que o pequeno produtor que recebe 160 pintos, no final da produção de cada lote, poderá lucrar até R$ 400,00/ciclo de criação, com valor recebido de R$ 2,50/ave, onde poderá lucrar até R$ 800,00/mês quando são entregues dois lotes sem nenhum custo já que toda a despesa com manejo alimentar e sanitário é custeado pelo produtor distribuidor. A exploração de Galinhas da Angola caracteriza-se por ser uma atividade economicamente viável, devido à rusticidade dos animais, minimizando os custos com manejo sanitário e uso de medicamentos. O sistema semi-intensivo de produção é o mais indicado para a criação comercial, por permitir uma maior qualidade vida às aves, pré- requisito que permite um sabor característico a carne, fugindo assim dos padrões dos frangos e galinhas criadas em total confinamento. A criação de Galinhas da Angola mostra-se viável, devido sua boa aceitação pelo mercado consumidor que busca cada vez mais alimentos alternativos e de qualidade, e por garantir uma diversificação e renda extra aos sistemas de produção dos municípios de Maracanaú e Cascavel. The rational exploitation of chickens Angola (Numida melagris galeata) can be a profitable business and their economic viability is closely linked to adequate management and entrepreneurial capacity of the producer, as is a bird greatly appreciated by the characteristic and peculiar flavor of their meat. The objective of this study was to evaluate the feasibility and market opportunity in creating chickens Angola as part of the poultry sector. Data collection took place during the year 2014 and mid-2015 in two cities in the state of Ceara (Maracanau and Cascavel), which stand out on the national scene, in the commercial and industrial exploitation of these birds. It was found that on reaching one hundred (100) days of age when they present at least 1.5 kg / bird is slaughtered, reaching an average of 3,000 Angolans slaughter chickens / month, the French lineage, being marketed Kg (in September / 2014) in the amount of RS 16.00. The consumer audience that appreciates more the flesh is the middle class. The entire production is sold in the Fortaleza Grande and neighboring municipalities, with the target audience, restaurants (70%), refrigerators (28%) and people who individually have already slaughtered birds, direct with producers (2%). It was observed that the small producer who receives 160 chicks at the end of each production batch, it may profit to R $ 400.00 / creation cycle with value received from R $ 2.50 / bird where you can earn up to R $ 800.00 / month when they are delivered two lots at no cost since all spending on food and health management is funded by the distributor producer. The exploitation of chickens Angola is characterized for being an economically viable activity, due to the rusticity of animals, minimizing the costs of health management and use of medications. The semi-intensive production system is the most suitable for business creation by enabling a higher quality life to the birds, prerequisite that allows a characteristic meat flavor, thus escaping the standards of chickens and hens in virtual confinement. The creation of chickens Angola proves feasible, due to its good acceptance by the market seeking more and more alternative and quality food, and ensuring diversification and extra income to production systems in the municipalities of Maracanau and Cascavel.

Esse fato, exigiu um aprimoramento das técnicas por parte do apicultor local, para que houvesse o equilíbrio entre os benefícios e os problemas trazidos pela nova espécie. Atualmente, a apicultura se firma como uma atividade econômica de destaque, principalmente, no Semiárido brasileiro. O Estado da Paraíba se insere neste contexto e, em especial, o Sertão Paraibano, por ser a apicultura uma atividade ecologicamente correta e que exige poucos investimentos para iniciar a produção de produtos oriundos da apicultura. Porém, como toda atividade relativamente artesanal, existem fatores que precisam ser superados pelos apicultores para que sejam obtidos melhores resultados. Nessa direção, o presente estudo teve como objetivo geral analisar a apicultura no sertão paraibano, evidenciando as principais dificuldades sob a ótica dos pequenos apicultores. Como objetivos específicos, optamos por caracterizar o perfil dos apicultores sertanejos e identificar as principais dificuldades relatadas para a implantação dos apiários e comercialização dos produtos apícolas; apontar os principais produtos apícolas produzidos para comercialização, no Sertão da Paraíba; diagnosticar e distinguir as dificuldades dos apicultores inerentes aos territórios produtivos e sugerir soluções para a superação das limitações encontradas, além de propor ações potencializadoras ao desenvolvimento da apicultura regional. In the mid-twentieth century, in order to increase the production of honey, Africanized bees were introduced in Brazil. These quickly dispersed without any control in several regions, causing several damages to the local community. This fact required an improvement of the techniques by the local beekeeper so that there was a balance between the benefits and the problems brought about by the new species. Currently, beekeeping has been established as a prominent economic activity, mainly in the Brazilian semi-arid region. The State of Paraíba is inserted in this context, and in particular the Sertão Paraibano, because beekeeping is an ecologically correct activity and requires little investment to start the production of products from beekeeping. However, like any relatively artisanal activity, there are factors that need to be overcome by beekeepers in order to obtain better results. In this direction, the present study had as general objective to analyze the beekeeping in the backlands of Paraíba, evidencing the main difficulties from the perspective of the small beekeepers. As specific objectives, we chose to characterize the profile of beekeepers in the sertanejos and to identify the main difficulties reported for the implementation of apiaries and commercialization of bee products; to point out the main bee products produced for commercialization in the Sertão da Paraíba; to diagnose and to distinguish the difficulties of the beekeepers inherent to the productive territories and to suggest solutions to overcome the limitations encountered, besides proposing actions for the development of regional beekeeping.

As pinturas rupestres de Zimbábue, mais precisamente aquela localizada no pequeno abrigo de Toghawana Dam, possuindo quase 10.000 anos, são, até o presente, o mais antigo registro da coleta do mel de abelha promovida pelo homem. No antigo Egito, cerca de vinte e quatro séculos antes de Cristo, a Apicultura já era uma atividade muito comum. Várias representações datadas daquela época e encontradas no Templo ao Sol, em Abu Gourab, mostram cenas onde aparecem homens promovendo a extração e o armazenamento do mel. Se a Apicultura entre os egípcios ganhou forma, no mundo grego ela foi objeto dos primeiros tratados científicos. Xenofonte, Aristóteles e Hipócrates dedicaram longas páginas às abelhas e ao mel, enquanto produto alimentar e medicamento. Os gregos também produziram excelentes bebidas a partir do mel, apresentando-o como sendo ‘o néctar dos deuses’. No mundo árabe, o destaque para a Apicultura foi relevante nas obras produzidas por Avicena, cujos compêndios médicos foram utilizados na Europa até o século XVIII. Contudo, foi a partir do Império romano que a Apicultura - enquanto atividade econômica - passou a ser estimulada, principalmente, pela necessidade de se produzir velas, a partir da cera apícola. Diante desta necessidade e da importância medicinal dada ao mel, a Apicultura [com suas novas técnicas de manejo] se expandiu por todos os reinos conquistados pelos romanos, fato que assinalou o início da chamada Apicultura Moderna. O presente trabalho tem por objetivo promover uma abordagem sobre a evolução histórica da Apicultura em seus primórdios. The so-called modern Beekeeping began to develop from the eighteenth century. However, the honey consumption is something that goes back to the Upper Paleolithic period. The cave paintings of Zimbabwe, more precisely the one located in the small shelter Toghawana Dam, owning nearly 10,000 years are, to date, the earliest record of man promoted by bee honey collection. In ancient Egypt, about twenty-four centuries before Christ, the Beekeeping was already a very common activity. Several representations dated at that time and found in the Temple of the Sun in Abu Gourab show scenes where men appear promoting the extraction and storage of honey. If Beekeeping among the Egyptians took shape in the Greek world it was the first scientific treatises object. Xenophon, Aristotle and Hippocrates devoted long pages to bees and honey, as a food product and medicine. The Greeks also produced excellent drinks from honey, presenting it as ‘the nectar of the gods'. Em consequência disso, o presente trabalho teve por objetivo realizar um estudo socioeconômico e ambiental e mostrar a importância da contabilidade para mensurar a sustentabilidade em três assentamentos Acauã, Angélicas e Serra Azul. Para tanto, aplicaram-se questionários junto a 45 assentados com variáveis socioeconômicas, ambientais, de capital social e contábil, que possibilitaram os cálculos dos respectivos índices: Índice de Qualidade de vida (IQV) de 0,8667, 0,7778 e 0,7222, onde os indicadores que mais contribuíram para mensurar a qualidade de vida dos assentados foram habitação e bens duráveis, enquanto o indicador de lazer foi o menos representativo, Na amostra total, os assentamentos apresentaram Índice de Qualidade de Vida na média e o nível médio de acumulação de capital social nos assentamentos foi considerado relevante pelo dimensionamento do Índice de Capital Social (ICS), contribuindo com a maior parcela na formação do Índice de Sustentabilidade (IS) dos assentamentos, apresentando valores de 0,8857, 0,8286 e 0,7952. Na formação deste índice, destacaram-se os investimentos que a associação realiza e que são submetidos e aprovados nas reuniões. No aspecto ambiental, obtiveram-se resultados pouco satisfatórios, representando nível baixo para o Índice de sustentabilidade de todos os assentamentos, o que exige melhor atenção ao meio ambiente e à educação ambiental aos assentados, representando valores de 0,5143, 0,3143 e 0,3714. Na composição deste índice, a existência de área de reserva nativa no assentamento foi o indicador que mais contribuiu com a sustentabilidade. No total da amostra, o Índice de Sustentabilidade, de 0,6757 apresentou-se na média, o que pode sugerir um melhor desempenho para aumentar o Índice Ambiental para que venha somar com o Índice Capital Social e, consequentemente, elevar o Índice de Sustentabilidade nos assentamentos estudados. Os resultados encontrados, portanto, demonstraram que o uso da Contabilidade por meio de seus relatórios, vem contribuindo para os assentamentos realizarem o seu processo de tomada de decisões. In recent years, rural settlements are being intensively studied because of the current debate on sustainable development and employment generation instrument and income in rural areas. As a result, this study aimed to conduct a socioeconomic and environmental study and show the accounting importance to measure sustainability in three settlements Acauã, Angelic and Serra Azul. For this end, questionnaires were applied at 45 seated with socioeconomic, environmental, social capital and accounting, which enabled the calculation of the respective indices: Life Quality Index (QLI) of 0.8667, 0.7778 and 0, 7222, where the indicators that most contributed to measure the life quality of the settlers were housing and durable goods, while the leisure indicator was the least representative. Int the total sample, the settlements presented Life Quality Index on average and the average level of capital accumulation in the settlements was considered relevant by the design of the Social Capital Index (ICS), contributing for the largest share in the formation of the Sustainability Index (IS) of the settlements, with values of 0.8857, 0.8286 and 0 , 7952. In the formation of this index, stood out investments that the association carries out which are placed and approved in meetings. Environmentally, got poor results, representing low level to the sustainability index of all settlements, which requires better attention to the environment and environmental education to the settlers, representing values of 0.5143, 0.3143 and 0.3714. In the composition of this index, the existence of native reserve area in the settlement was the indicator that most contributed to sustainability. In the overall sample, the Sustainability Index of 0.6757 performed on average, which may suggest a better performance to increase the environmental index that will add to the Social Capital Index and consequently to raise the Sustainability Index the studied settlements. The results found therefore demonstrated that the use of accounting through its reports, has contributed to the settlements realize their decisionmaking process.

Tivemos como objetivo realizar um estudo socioeconômico e ambiental, como também, verificar a sustentabilidade na atividade apícola em cinco associações de apicultores no alto sertão da Paraiba. A coleta de dados sobre os agentes envolvidos nessa atividade, deu-se mediante a aplicação de questionários e realização de entrevistas semi-estruturadas, aplicadas diretamente com os associados das associações de Apicultores em cinco municípios do Sertão da Paraiba. A associação que apresentou maior Indice de Qualidade de Vida (IQV) foi Santa Helena, com 1,5278. Seguidas por Triunfo com 0,9333, São João do Rio do Peixe com 0,8167, Catolé do Rocha com 0,7778 e Poço José de Moura com 0,6889, respectivamente, mostrou que 100% dos apicultores pesquisados possuem pelo menos um dos bens dos grupos 1, 2 e 3, Na composição do Indice de Capital Social (ICS), o maior valor foi constatado em Catolé do rocha: 0,8999, seguidos por São João do Rio do Peixe com 0,8570 atingiram alto nível do indicador de desenvolvimento em capital. Para o Índice Ambiental podemos verificar que a associação de São João do Rio do Peixe, obteve o maior índice de indicador ambiental, ou seja 0,9143, seguidos por Catolé do Rocha com 0,8857. The beekeeping is an activity developed in various Brazilian states, and particularly in the state of Paraíba and other states of the northeast is climatic and environmental conditions quite favorable. An important social aspect in the production of honey and its derivatives, in reality this state, is the fact that it is usually developed by small farmers in several counties of this state, whose beekeepers who have attained a higher level of organization already produce honey with quality for export which is still held indirectly through companies from other states. Our aim was to perform a socioeconomic and environmental study, but also verify the sustainability in beekeeping in five beekeepers associations in high hinterland of Paraíba. Data collection on the agents involved in this activity, took place through the application of questionnaires and conducting semi-structured interviews, applied directly with members of Beekeepers' associations in five municipalities in the backwoods of Paraíba. The association with the highest Quality of Life Index (IQV) was Santa Helena, with 1.5278. Followed by Triunfo with 0.9333, São João do Rio do Peixe with 0.8167, 0.7778 with Catolé do Rocha and Poço José de Moura with 0.6889, respectively, showed that 100% of surveyed beekeepers have at least one of goods of groups 1, 2 and 3, the composition of the Capital Index (ICS), the highest value was found in Catolé do Rocha: 0.8999, followed by São João do Rio do Peixe with 0.8570 reached high level of development indicator in capital. É um microrganismo considerados oportunista, porque quando encontra condições favoráveis para o seu desenvolvimento pode se tornar patogênico, ocasionando a candidíase vulvovaginal, no trato genital feminino, por exemplo. A maior preocupação está no fato de que algumas espécies de candida são mais resistentes aos antifúngicos. O objetivo geral foi compreender a ocorrência de leveduras vaginais e a ação antifúngica do extrato de própolis vermelha em pacientes atendidas em ambulatório de ginecologia; Específicos - Correlacionar a presença de fatores de risco para candidíase à presença de Candida na mucosa vaginal; Associar sintomas de vulvaginite à presença da Candida; Identificar as espécies mais prevalente nas pacientes sintomáticas e nas assintomáticas; Verificar o perfil de susceptibilidade das espécies encontradas ao fluconazol e ao miconazol; Avaliar a atividade antifúngica in vitro da Própolis vermelha nas concentações de 100%, 75%, 50% e 25% sobre as espécies encontradas. Tratase de uma pesquisa do tipo exploratória, com abordagem quantitativa, realizada no Centro de saúde Frei Damião, em Patos, PB e a manipulação das amostras clínicas foi realizada no Laboratório do CVT da Universidade Federal de Campina Grande, campus Pombal PB. A amostra foi probabilística e totalizarou 197 mulheres, adotando um nível de confiança de 95%, α=5% e um erro amostral ε=5%. O projeto foi aprovado pelo Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa com Seres Humanos, da Universidade Federal de Campina Grande, CAAE 35203614.8.0000.5575. Os dados foram coletados mediante entrevista com roteiro estruturado e exame ginecológico para coleta da secreção vaginal, para Identificação das Espécies de Cândida, através do estudo dos aspectos macroscópicos, micromorfológicos e bioquímicos em CHROMagar Candida®. Por fim, foi verificada a ação antifúngica do extrato de própolis vermelha em quatro concentrações diferentes a 100%, 75%, 50% e 25%, através do teste de difusão em Agar. No processamento dos dados foi utilizado o pacote estatístico para ciências sociais (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences - SPSS), versão 17. O princípio básico era ofertar ninhos alternativos para os apicultores que trabalham com abelhas africanizadas (Apis mellífera). Para o cálculo do custo unitário de cada ninho foram considerados os preços atuais das matérias primas, bem como as suas depreciações anuais. Constatou-se uma economia de até 30% na construção dos ninhos alternativos quando comparados aos custos dos ninhos tradicionais de madeira, mostrando-se uma opção viável e rentável ao apicultor. Em relação ao comportamento das abelhas, concluiu-se que o tipo de material (concreto ou madeira) utilizado na construção dos ninhos não teve influência significativa na agressividade das mesmas. A defensividade, fortemente atrelada a fatores genéticos, pode ser em função do grau de africanização e do local de instalação dos apiários. The objective of this work is to analyze the economic feasibility and acceptability of nests Langstroth hives made of concrete-based construction wastes. The basic principle was to offer alternative nests beekeepers working with Africanized honeybees (Apis mellifera). In order to calculate the unit cost of each nest, it was considered the current commodity prices, as well as its annual depreciation. It was found that there were savings of up to 30% in the construction of alternative nests when compared to the costs of traditional wooden nests, which can be seen as a viable and profitable option to the beekeeper. As for the behavior of the bees, it was concluded that the type of material (concrete or wood) used in the nest construction had no significant influence on the bee aggressiveness. Defensiveness, strongly linked to genetic factors, may be a function of the Africanization level and location of installed apiaries.

Dentre os diversos fatores que podem justificar esses fenômenos estão o crescimento demográfico desenfreado, globalização e o aumento do consumo em proporções imensuráveis. Frente ao exposto, surge a necessidade de estudos e pesquisas que demonstrem medidas enérgicas e imediatas na resolução ou mitigação dos impactos causados ao meio ambiente. Assim, o estudo realizado na Comunidade de Várzea Comprida dos Oliveiras localizada no município de Pombal, alto sertão paraibano, visa analisar a sustentabilidade no processo produtivo de hortaliças que a agricultura familiar desenvolve, a partir das dimensões social, econômica, institucional/tecnológico e ambiental. Como metodologia de pesquisa foram aplicados questionários, in loco, a 40 (quarenta) famílias produtoras de hortaliças, além de análises laboratoriais para identificar a qualidade da água e de algumas hortaliças cultivadas. Os dados coletados com o questionário foram traduzidos em indicadores, utilizando o método do PNUD/ONU (1998), cujos resultados variaram de 0 (zero) a 100 (cem) e foram divididos em quatro graus de sustentabilidades: crítico, ruim, bom e excelente. Em seguida foram aplicados na formula matemática denominada de IGS (Índice Global de Sustentabilidade) desenvolvido por González e Carvajal (2002). Os resultados apontam as dimensões social e econômica com índices bons, quase excelentes para a sustentabilidade, com 71% e 74%, respectivamente. Já as dimensões institucional/tecnológica e ambiental, ambas foram consideradas ruins para a sustentabilidade, com os respectivos percentuais, 47% e 27%. No caso da dimensão ambiental, o resultado aproximou-se bastante da situação crítica, que é de 25%. Com os resultados das dimensões o IGS calculado foi de 54,75%, significando um índice bom do ponto de vista sustentável. Desta forma, os resultados obtidos apontam que a atividade de horticultura na comunidade pesquisada, se encontra no campo limiar da sustentabilidade, ou seja, com índice um pouco acima da média necessária aos aspectos sustentáveis. É necessário, rever as ações sobre as dimensões trabalhadas, principalmente a ambiental, com intuito de fortalecer cada vez mais o processo produtivo de hortaliças na comunidade, com práticas sustentáveis. Climatic phenomena observed lately in different points of the earth , where regions have high temperatures , and other thermometers reach negative numbers never before seen . Can signify a warning from nature to mankind on the effects that human activities cause to the ecosystem . Among the various factors that may explain these phenomena are rampant population growth , globalization and rising consumption in immeasurable proportions. Based on these, the need arises for studies and research showing vigorous and immediate action on the resolution or mitigation of impacts to the environment . Thus , the study on the Community of Lowland Long of Olives in the municipality of Pombal , high Paraiba backwoods , aims to analyze the sustainability of the production process vegetables that family agriculture develops , from the social, economic , institutional / technological and environmental . As research methodology questionnaires were applied in situ , forty (40 ) producing families of vegetables , and laboratory analyzes to identify water quality and some vegetables grown . The data collected with the questionnaire were translated into indicators , using the method of UNDP / UN (1998 ) , whose results ranged from 0 (zero ) to 100 ( one hundred) and were divided into four grades of sustainabilities : critical , bad , good and excellent. They were then applied to the mathematical formula called GSI ( Global Sustainability Index ) developed by González and Carvajal (2002 ) . The results point to the social and economic dimensions with good rates , almost excellent for sustainability , with 71 % and 74 % , respectively. Have the institutional / technological and environmental dimensions , both were considered bad for sustainability , with their percentages, 47 % and 27 % . In the case of the environmental dimension , the result approached the very critical situation , which is 25 % . With the results of the calculated dimensions IGS was 54.75 % , meaning a good point index sustainable view. Thus , the results obtained indicate that the activity of horticulture in the community studied , is on the threshold field of sustainability , ie with index slightly above average needed to sustainability aspects . As abelhas foram coletadas de criadores de abelhas sem ferrão distintos, de duas localidades sendo uma delas o município de São João do Rio do Peixe, Paraíba-PB, sob as coordenadas: lat. 06° 43' 44" S e long. 38° 26' 56" W. E a outra no município de Mossoró sob as coordenadas lati. 5°03'40’’ S, long. 37º23'51’ W. Distantes 262 quilômetros entre si. O período da pesquisa compreendeu os meses de dezembro de 2013 a janeiro do ano de 2014.Foram selecionados aleatoriamente 10 cortiços para nível de coletas dos insetos em cada localidade. Foram coletadas 60 abelhas operárias, sendo 3 abelhas referentes a cada cortiço. Os parâmetros avaliados dentro do estudo morfométrico foram: Comprimento Transversal, Comprimento Longitudinal, Pernas Coletoras Asas Anteriores Asas Posteriores e Peso por Inseto. Em relação a características avaliadas foram constatadas diferenças significativas entre todas quando se trata dos indivíduos das duas localidades. Corroborando a existência de variabilidade morfométricas entre as localidades. Na análise discriminante obtida para classificação de indivíduos entre as localidades, o município de são João do Rio do Peixe obteve uma taxa de classificação Correta de 100,0%, já para Mossoró a taxa foi de 96,67%, sendo que a média geral foi de 98,33%. Pela validação cruzada, estas localidade tiveram, respectivamente, identificação correta de seus indivíduos com taxas de 100% e 93,33%. A média geral da validação cruzada foi de 96,97%. As variações de tamanho encontradas neste trabalho constatadas pela morfometria demonstram que as técnicas são ferramentas importantes na avaliação e no desenvolvimento de estratégias de conservação e de sustentabilidade. This work was aimed to carry out a morphometric study of this species of bee created in artificial conditions in semi-arid, with the purpose of verifying divergence in its morphology, in order to identify possible variations of this species. Bees were collected from beekeepers without distinct sting of two locations one being the country of São João do Rio do Peixe, Paraíba-PB under the coordinates: lat. 06 ° 43 '44 "S and long. 38 ° 26' 56" W. And the other in the country of Mossoró in the coordinates lati. 5 ° 03'40'' S, long. 37 ° 23'51 "W. 262 km distant from each other. The research was conducted in the period from December 2013 to January of the year 2014. From which 10 artificial nests were randomly selected for level of collections of insects in each location. 60 worker bees were collected, 3 bees for each nest. The morphometric parameters evaluated in the study were: Length Transverse, Longitudinal length, collecting Legs, Wings Earlier, Wings Beyond and Weight by Insect. In relation the characteristics evaluated significant differences among all when it comes to individuals of both locations were found. Confirming the existence of morphometric variability between locations. in discriminant analysis obtained for classification of individuals between locations, the country of São João do Rio do Peixe, obtained a correct classification rate of 100.0%, while for Mossoró rate was 96.67%, while the overall average was 98.33% .By cross-validation, this locality had, respectively, correct identification of individuals with their rates of 100% and 93.33%. The overall average of the cross-validation was 96.97%. Size variations found in this study noted by morphometry demonstrated that these techniques are important tools in the evaluation and development of strategies for the conservation and sustainability.

Um experimento foi conduzido na Fazenda Experimental Rafael Fernandes, localizada no distrito de Alagoinha, zona rural de Mossoró-RN, no período de outubro de 2010 a fevereiro de 2011, com o objetivo de avaliar a viabilidade agroeconômica da aplicação da flor-de-seda (Calotropis procera) na cultura da beterraba em cultivo solteiro. O delineamento experimental usado foi o de blocos completos casualizados com os tratamentos arranjados em esquema fatorial 5 x 4, com três repetições. Os tratamentos consistiram da combinação de quatro quantidades de flor-de-seda (0; 0,7; 1,4; 2,1 e 2,8 kg m-2 de canteiro em base seca), com quatro períodos de incorporação (0; 14; 28 e 42 dias antes do plantio). A cultivar de beterraba plantada foi a Early Wonder. As características avaliadas foram: altura de plantas, rendimentos de massa fresca e seca da parte aérea, produtividade comercial de raízes e produtividade de massa seca de raízes. Também foram utilizados alguns indicadores econômicos, tais como: renda bruta e custo de produção, renda líquida, taxa de retorno e índice de lucratividade, as quais foram utilizadas para verificar a viabilidade econômica. Não se observou interação entre os fatores estudados. O melhor desempenho produtivo da beterraba foi observado na quantidade 2,3 kg m-2 de canteiro de flor-de-seda incorporada ao solo, com valor médio de 2,44 kg m-2 de canteiro de beterraba, com rentabilidade de liquida de 4.040,00 R$, taxa de retorno da ordem de 2,65 R$ e índice de lucratividade de 62,3%. Em relação aos períodos de incorporação, 0 dia foi o que promoveu a maior produtividade comercial de beterraba com valor médio de 2,2 kg m-2 de canteiro de beterraba, com rentabilidade liquida de 3.500,00 R$, taxa de retorno da ordem de 2,43 R$ e índice de lucratividade de 58,9%. O cultivo da beterraba adubado com flor-de-seda constitui em uma alternativa viável para o produtor. - The use of spontaneous species of the caatinga represents an option of organic fertilizer for farmers who labor in the production of vegetables, been the silk flower, species of large occurrence in the study area, and it is found in various locations the northeast region of the country in different soil conditions. An experiment was conducted at the Experimental Farm Rafael Fernandes, located in Alagoinha district, a rural area of Mossoró-RN, from October 2010 to February 2011, in order to evaluate the agricultural economic viability of the application of the silk flower (Calotropis procera) in beet cultivation in monocrop. The experimental design was a randomized complete block with treatments arranged in a factorial 5 x 4 with three replications. The treatments were a combination of four amounts of silk flower (0, 0.7, 1.4, 2.1 and 2.8 kg m-2 site on a dry basis), with four periods of incorporation (0 , 14, 28 and 42 days before planting). The planted cultivar of beet was the Early Wonder. The characteristics evaluated were: plant height, fresh weight yields and shoot dry, commercial root yield and dry matter yield of roots. They were also used some economic indicators such as gross income and cost of production, net income, rate of return and profitability index, which were used to verify the economic viability. There was no interaction between treatments. The best beet production performance was observed in the amount 2.3 kg m-2 site of silk flower incorporated into the soil, with an average value of 2.44 kg m-2 beet site, with net profitability 4040.00 £, rate of return of around £ 2.65 and 62.3% profitability index. For periods of incorporation, 0 days was what promoted the highest commercial yields of beet with a mean value of 2.2 kg m-2 beet site, with net profit of R $ 3,500.00, rate of return order 2.43 R $ and 58.9% profitability index. The cultivation of beet fertilized with silk-flower constitutes a viable alternative to the producer.

A pesquisa teve um caráter descritivo, uma abordagem quantitativa e qualitativa e participativa, o estudo foi realizado na Escola Maria Marques de Assis, tendo como população os 180 alunos matriculados, a diretora, os professores e as merendeiras da unidade em análise, além dos agricultores familiares rurais locais que vendem e/ou venderam alimentos para alimentação escolar, da prefeita e secretária municipal de educação. Para os alunos fez-se uma amostragem estabelecida de acordo com o proposto por Barbetta (2001), assim, o número de alunos foi igual a 60 crianças com idade variando entre 9 e 13 anos, desses alunos foram formados 2 grupos para estudo, cada um com 30 alunos, sendo o grupo 1 formado por estudantes do turno manhã e que receberam educação nutricional sobre o mel e o grupo 2 formado por alunos do turno tarde que não tiveram nenhuma atividade pedagógica referente ao estudo, aplicou-se questionários aos alunos antes e após a oferta de mel de abelha na merenda, desenvolveu-se atividades pedagógicas sobre os benefícios do mel com o grupo 1 de alunos e sobre apicultura com os agricultores, infligiu-se questionários com professores, diretora, merendeiras, agricultores, prefeita e secretária de educação. As informações foram analisadas usando o programa estatístico IBM SPSS Statistics, versão 21 de 2012 e utilizando a técnica de análise de conteúdo de Bardin. Concluiu-se que a introdução do mel é viável desde que se tenha um trabalho pedagógico de educação nutricional, pois o grupo 1 de alunos apresentou índice de aceitabilidade superior ao mínimo estabelecido pelo Fundo Nacional de Desenvolvimento da Educação (FNDE), enquanto que no grupo 2 de alunos o índice de aceitabilidade foi inferior ao mínimo exigido. Os agricultores locais demonstraram interesse em produzir mel, as gestoras municipais desenvolveram ações reais que poderão proporcionar a inserção permanente do mel no cardápio escolar e um desenvolvimento sustentável local, criando o Sistema de Inspeção Municipal e firmando parcerias com o SEBRAE (Serviço brasileiro de apoio à micro e pequena empresa) para incentivar o agronegócio apícola local.

Pelo potencial de geração de trabalho e renda que possui, como também por constituir um importante mecanismo de promoção econômico-social de amplos segmentos da população rural, que formam a maior parcela entre os trabalhadores dessa atividade. Mediante o exposto, essa pesquisa objetivou realizar um estudo socioeconômico e ambiental, como também, verificar a sustentabilidade na atividade apícola nos assentamentos rurais Acauã, Jacu e Fortuna, localizados nos municípios de Aparecida, Pombal e Jericó, no Estado da Paraíba respectivamente. A coleta de dados sobre os agentes envolvidos nessa atividade, deu-se mediante a aplicação de questionários e realização de entrevistas semi-estruturadas, aplicadas diretamente com os apicultores e líderes dos assentamentos em estudo. Para o índice de qualidade de vida os dados apresentados nas comunidades de acauã, Jacu e Fortuna, mostrou que 100% dos apicultores pesquisados possuem pelo menos um dos bens dos grupos 1, 2 e 3, o assentamento Acauã apresentou o maior índice com índices de 0,7222. Já o índice de Capital social o assentamento Acauã também obteve um maior valor em torno de 0,9429, sendo superior aos demais. Para o índice ambiental o maior valor foi encontrado no assentamento Fortuna com valor da ordem de 0,3571, sendo superior aos demais, porem um valor baixo quando comparado a outros trabalhos. A produção de mel nos assentamentos pesquisados revelou que os apicultores da Fortuna obtiveram uma maior produção e consequente produtividade da ordem de 2.522 kg/ano que representa uma produtividade de 10,3kg/colmeia. Para o índice de sustentabilidade o maior valor foi encontrado no assentamento Acauã com valor de 0,6646, sendo o índice ambiental o que mais contribuiu negativamente para que a sustentabilidade fosse baixa. Entretanto, os assentamentos pesquisados necessitam de mais pesquisas para que se possa ter uma dimensão maior sobre a sustentabilidade da atividade na região. Beekeeping is an activity expanding in many countries, also in Brazil is experiencing a significant growth in its production. The potential to generate employment and income it has, as well as forming an important mechanism for promoting economic and social large segments of the rural population, who form the largest portion of this activity among workers. By the above, this research aimed to conduct a socio-economic and environmental study, as well as to verify the sustainability in beekeeping in rural settlements Acauã Jacu and Fortuna, located in the municipalities of Aparecida , Pombal and Jericó , in Paraíba State respectively. Data collection on the agents involved in this activity took place through the use of questionnaires and conducting semi -structured, applied directly with beekeepers and leaders of the settlements under study. For the index of quality of life data presented in communities Acauã, Jacu and Fortuna, showed that 100 % of beekeepers surveyed have at least one of the assets of groups 1 , 2 and 3 , the settlement Acauã presented with the highest rates of 0.7222 . The index of capital settlement Acauã also obtained a higher value around 0.9429, being superior to the others. Environmental index for the highest value was found in the settlement with Fortuna order value of 0.3571, being superior to the other; put a low value when compared to other works. Honey production in the settlements surveyed revealed that beekeepers of Fortune had a higher production and consequent productivity of approximately 2522 kg / year which represents a yield of 10.3 kg / hive. Sustainability index for the highest value was found in the settlement Acauã with value 0.6646, and the environmental index contributed most negatively to that sustainability was low. However, the settlements surveyed require more research so that it can be larger on the sustainability of the activity in the region.

Objetivou-se analisar a agressividade de colônias apis mellífera no semiárido paraibano. A pesquisa foi realizada no município de Cajazeiras, PB em um apiário no distrito de Catolé. O município está situado na região semiárida do Nordeste brasileiro, no estado da Paraíba. O apiário é composto por 60 colmeias com enxames de abelhas africanizadas (Apis mellifera) e está instalado no local desde 1983. Todas as caixas foram enumeradas na parte frontal do ninho para facilitar a identificação. Foram selecionadas 20 colmeias, dessas 20 foram escolhidas 10, nas quais se forneceu a alimentação artificial, as outras 10 colmeias não foram alimentadas artificialmente. Os testes foram realizados em três momentos que compreende os meses de agosto, outubro e dezembro de 2012. Os parâmetros analisados foram Tempo para ocorrer a primeira ferroada em um retalho de camurça, número de ferrões deixados no retalho de camurça preto, número de abelhas que atacaram e foram presas no recipiente, distância que as abelhas perseguem o observador e tempo para a calmaria das abelhas. Para o tempo de ocorrência para a primeira ferroada, a colônia 24 alimentada levou um menor tempo para atacar, indicando ser mais agressiva. Para as colônias não alimentadas a colônia 26 foi a que apresentou um maior numero de abelhas atacando nos primeiros 60s. Para as colônias alimentadas não houve diferença entre a colônia 40 e a 46, sendo a colônia 46 a que teve um maior número de abelhas que atacaram. Para a distancia percorrida a colônia 14 não alimentada foi a que perseguiu o observador a uma distancia maior com uma media de 436,8m, já para as colônias alimentadas a colônia 49 foi a que perseguiu a uma maior distancia chegando a 488,3m. Os estudos de defensividade demonstraram que existem diferenças em relação ao nível de defensividade das colônias de apis melífera estudadas, sendo necessário mais estudo para melhor analisar a defensividade de abelhas no semiárido paraibano. The Africanization was responsible for many changes in the behavior of European honey bees, which inhabited in Brazil for some time. This study aimed to analyze the aggressiveness apis mellifera colonies in semiarid Paraiba. The survey was conducted in the municipality of Cajazeiras PB in an apiary District of Catole. The municipality is located in the semiarid region of northeastern Brazil, in the state of Paraiba. The apiary is composed of 60 hives with swarms of Africanized honey bees (Apis mellifera) and is installed in that place since 1983. All the boxes were listed in front of the nest to facilitate identification. 20 colonies were selected, 10 of these 20 were selected, which are provided in the artificial feeding, the other 10 colonies were not artificially fed. The tests were conducted in three stages comprising the months of August, October and December 2012. The parameters analyzed were to occur the first time in sting retail suede, number of stings left in black suede flap, the number of bees that attacked and were arrested in the container, the bees chase away the observer and time for the lull bees. For the time of occurrence for the first sting, the colony fed 24 took a little time to attack, indicating that more aggressive. For colonies not fed the colony 26 showed the greater number of bees attacking in the first 60s. For colonies fed no difference between the colony 40 and 46, 46 being the colony that had a greater number of bees attacked. Distance traveled to the colony 14 was not fed that chased the observer at a distance greater with an average of 436,8 m , while for the 49 colonies fed the colony that was pursued to a greater distance reaching 488,3 m . Defensiveness studies demonstrated that differences exist in the level of defensiveness of apis mellifera colonies studied, more study is needed to better analyze the defensiveness of bees in the semiarid Paraiba.

Levando em consideração que a produção de mel e outros produtos apícolas encontram-se ligados à presença das flores, é importante que se conheça as espécies apícolas que se desenvolvem numa determinada região, seus períodos de florescimento, bem como sua abundância. Desta forma, a caracterização da vegetação e sua distribuição contribuem para o estabelecimento de uma apicultura sustentável. O presente estudo foi realizado na reserva ambiental pertencente ao Perímetro Irrigado Engenheiro Arcoverde, que possui uma área de aproximadamente 135 ha e encontra-se localizado no município de Condado, Estado da Paraíba. A referida reserva, que é propriedade do Departamento Nacional de Obras Contra Seca e administrada em parceria com Instituto Brasileiro do Meio Ambiente e dos Recursos Naturais Renováveis. Para amostragem do componente arbustivo arbórea foram lançadas 28 parcelas de 20 X 20 metros de forma sistemática. Analisando os dados coletados, constatou-se que a espécie Croton blanchetianus, destacou-se das demais, pelo fato de ter apresentado 477 indivíduos, representando 40,46% da amostra pesquisada. Diante destes números e levando em consideração a contribuição que pode advir dessa espécie vegetal para a atividade apícola, concluise que a área avaliada possui uma grande importância para a apicultura. Tal conclusão consta que na área estudada, as espécies predominantes são nectaríferas-poliníferas, que durante o período de floração são transformadas em valiosas fontes, onde as abelhas encontram em quantidade vários dos componentes utilizados para a produção do mel, produto este que possui um excelente sabor. The species that make up the bee flora are classified considering foraging developed by bees, which can be grouped into nectar plants (exclusively provide nectar to bees), polliniferous plants (exclusively provide pollen for bees) and plants nectarpolliniferous (provide both nectar to bees as pollen). Taking into account that the production of honey and other bee products are linked to the presence of flowers, it is important to know the bee species that thrive in a particular region, their flowering periods, as well as their abundance. Thus, the characterization of vegetation and their distribution contribute to the establishment of a sustainable beekeeping. This study was conducted in environmental reserve belonging to the Irrigation Engineer Arcoverde, which has an area of approximately 135 ha and is located in the municipality of County, State of Paraiba. Such reserves, which is owned by the National Department of Works Against Drought and administered in partnership with the Brazilian Institute of Environment and Renewable Natural Resources. For sampling arboreal shrub component 28 plots of 20 X 20 meters systematically been launched. Analyzing the data collected, it was found that the species Croton blanchetianus, stood out from the others by having presented 477 individuals, representing 40.46% of the sample surveyed. Given these numbers and taking into account the contribution that can come from this plant species for beekeeping, it can be concluded that this area is of great importance to beekeeping. This conclusion is the observation that supports the area studied are the predominant species polliniferous nectar that during flowering sound transformed into valuable resources, where bees are several in number of components used for the production of honey, a product which has an excellent flavor.

Este trabalho tem o objetivo de avaliar a agressividade das abelhas Apis mellífera L. Africanizadas no sertão paraibano, através de testes de comportamento defensivo, para a produção de abelhas rainha mansas e produtivas. A pesquisa foi realizada na UFCG – POMBAL – PB e nos municípios de Condado, Pombal e Sousa no sertão da Paraíba. Os apiários eram compostos por 30 enxames, alojadas em colmeias padrão Langstroth. Destas, foram selecionadas aleatoriamente 10 colônias. Os testes de agressividade foram realizados em cada colmeia escolhida em 3 repetições, nos horários de 07:00 às 10:00 horas (H1), de 12:00 às 14:00 horas (H2) e das 15:00 às 17:00 horas (H3), e nos períodos da estação chuvosa (Abril de 2012) e da estação seca (Agosto de 2012). A agressividade foi medida pelo método de Stort (1974) com algumas adaptações, onde foram feitas as seguintes observações: Tempo para o enfurecimento das abelhas; Tempo para ocorrer à primeira ferroada; Número de ferrões deixados na camurça presa em um recipiente circular; Número de abelhas que atacaram após 1 minuto; Distância que as abelhas perseguiram o manipulador, e tempo para a calmaria das abelhas na colônia. Os dados foram avaliados pelos programas estatísticos SAS versão 9.0 e SigmaPlot for Windows versão 12.0. Após análise da normalidade pelo teste de Shapiro-Wilk, e homogeneidade de variância por Bartlett, os parâmetros avaliados por análise de variância, seguida do teste de Tukey e suas inter-relações por meio do teste de correlação de Pearson. A análise dos dados pelo método de Ward são representados num dendrograma. Para o enfurecimento das abelhas observamos que no período de inverno nos horários compreendidos entre 7:00 às 10:00 horas e das 12:00 às 14:00 horas do dia com valores de, respectivamente, 4,03 e 3,46 s, sendo estes estatisticamente diferentes dos observados no período de 15:00 às 17:00 horas (2,56 s). No período de seca, observamos o menor tempo de enfurecimento no período de 12:00 às 14:00 horas e de 15:00 às 17:00 horas do dia (3,93 e 2,76 s), sendo o período de maior agressividade das abelhas. Quando comparado o comportamento das abelhas entre as estações chuvosa e seca, observamos que o tempo de enfurecimento das abelhas não diferiu estatisticamente no horário de 15:00 às 17:00 horas. Dentre todas as colmeias analisadas observamos que elas possuem características em comum, independente do local de origem, podendo agrupá-las de modo a qualificá-las como agressivas ou mansas The aggression of Africanized bees is considered by many as a strong ally beekeepers to prevent theft of their production. This study aims to assess the aggressiveness of the bees Apis mellifera L. Africanized in the backlands of Paraiba, through tests of defensive behavior, for the production of queen bees calm and productive. The survey was conducted in UFCG - POMBAL - PB County and the municipalities of Pombal and Sousa in the backlands of Paraiba. Apiaries are composed of 30 clusters, housed in standard Langstroth hives. Of these, 10 colonies were randomly selected. The tests were carried out aggression in each hive chosen in 3 replications, in times of 07:00 and 10:00 hours (H1), from 12:00 to 14:00 hours (H2) and 15:00 to 17:00 hours (H3), and during winter (April 2012) and dry (August 2012). Aggression was measured by the method of Stort (1974) with some adaptations ours, where the following observations were made: Time for the fury of the bees; occur for the first time in a sting suede, number of stings left in suede trapped in a container circular, Number of bees that attacked after 1 minute; Distance bees chased the handler, and the time to calm the bees in the colony. Data were analyzed by SAS statistical software version 9.0 and SigmaPlot for Windows version 12.0. After analysis of normality by the Shapiro-Wilk test, and homogeneity of variance by Bartlett, the parameters evaluated by analysis of variance followed by Tukey's test and their interrelationships through the Pearson correlation test. Data analysis by the method of Ward are represented in a dendrogram. To the fury of bees observed that during winter in times ranging from 7:00 to 10:00 hours and from 12:00 to 14:00 hours of the day with figures of, respectively, 4.03 and 3.46 s, being statistically different from those observed in the period from 15:00 to 17:00 (2.56 s). During the dry season, we observe the shorter infuriating between 12:00 to 14:00 hours and from 15:00 to 17:00 hours of the day (3.93 and 2.76 s), being the period of greatest aggressiveness of bees. Compared bee behavior between the winter and dry, we observed that the time infuriating bees did not differ statistically between the hours of 15:00 to 17:00 hours. Among all analyzed hives observe that they have characteristics in common, regardless of place of origin and can group them in order to qualify them as aggressive or tame.
