The physicochemical properties of (1 − x)CsH2PO4/ xSiP y O z ( x = 0.2–0.7) composites containing fine-particle silicon phosphates as heterogeneous additives have been studied at different humidities. The introduction of silicon phosphates suppresses the superionic phase transition of CsH2PO4 and increases the low-temperature conductivity of the materials, which depends significantly on humidity. The CsH2PO4-SiP y O z materials offer high conductivity (∼3 × 10−3 to 10−2 S/cm at ∼110–230°C) at low water vapor pressures (3 mol % H2O). Amorphization of the CsH2PO4 in the composites markedly changes its thermodynamic properties. The effect of long-term isothermal holding (210°C, 3 mol % H2O) on the conductivity of the composites has been studied. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The article is devoted to actual issues of diagnostics of the initial stage of cholelithiasis in children. Special attention is paid to the role of functional disorders of the biliary tract as factors in the pathogenesis of metabolic pathology of the hepatobiliary system. According to the results of the study highlighted the predominant types of functional disorders of the gallbladder and biliary tract stone disease in children. Highlighted the role of diagnostics of the initial manifestations ECB in the prevention of progression and formation of calculous stage of the disease.

Interpreting metaphor is a hard but important problem in natural language processing that has numerous applications. One way to address this task is by finding a paraphrase that can replace the metaphorically used word in a given context. This approach has been previously implemented only within supervised frameworks, relying on manually constructed lexical resources, such as WordNet. In contrast, we present a fully unsupervised metaphor interpretation method that extracts literal paraphrases for metaphorical expressions from the Web. It achieves a precision of [Formula: see text], which is high for an unsupervised paraphrasing approach. Moreover, the method significantly outperforms both the baseline and the selectional preference-based method of Shutova employed in an unsupervised setting.

Aim: To study prevalence of arterial hypertension (AH) in young Smolensk population sample, AH risk factors, awareness of the patients about their disease, treatment compliance., Material and Methods: The in-office study covered 1068 employees. In diagnosis of AH, the patient answered the questions about AH risk factors, attitude to treatment., Results: All was highly prevalent in the examined population (27.9%). Patients under 45 years of age accounted for 38.9% of all the examinees with AH. The risk factors included overweight and obesity (65.5%), smoking (53.5%), family AH history (52.6%). In spite of high awareness about AH (72.4%) and opinion about AH as an important social problem, young patients demonstrate low treatment compliance (12%). This is explained by psychological features of such patients., Conclusion: It is necessary to examine quality of life of AH patients aged under 45 years, setting up of special schools to maintain educational activity, psychological and rehabilitation care.

The study is of a retrospective character and is based on the author's own cytogenetic findings secured in May-June 1986 in the examination of patients diagnosed as having had a first to third-degree acute radiation sickness while receiving massive detoxicating therapy. We consider it expedient to employ the model of multiple linear regression relying on a complex of most informative cytogenetic indicators rather than on only one such indicator alongside the traditional dose reaction identifiable by the level of dicentric chromosomes in blood lymphocytes. This will allow the degree of severity of the radiation injury to be determined with greater precision and permits assessing the therapeutic efficiency of the measures implemented.
