The evaporation of aerosol droplets is an important aspect of industry and science. Although the theoretical background of this process was developed more than one century ago and is complemented nowadays by various corrections, its formulas are not completely relevant for the evaporation process: they often give just crude estimations for complex systems. The computer simulation is an appropriate tool for the calculation of parameters of the evaporation of aerosols. In this paper, we present a model for the computer simulation of the evaporation of ionic solutions. Salt NaCl is chosen for the role of electrolyte due to its simplicity and widespread application. The simulation process is based on the Monte-Carlo method. We consider the temperature T, pressure of the environment P, and NaCl concentration as income parameters of the simulation and the evaporation coefficient as an outcome one. To simulate the interaction between water molecules, the Stockmayer and Lennard-Jones potentials are used. To estimate the efficiency of the proposed model, the evaporation coefficient was measured experimentally. It is shown that the experimentally obtained evaporation coefficients have the same order of magnitude as ones calculated by means of the computer simulation., Випаровування крапель аерозолiв є важливим аспектом науки та промисловостi. Хоча теоретичнi основи цього процесу були розробленi понад 100 рокiв тому i в наш час доповненi рiзними поправками, ї ї формули не є повнiстю релевантними для процесу випаровування: часто вони дають тiльки грубi оцiнки для складних систем. Комп’ютерне моделювання є придатним iнструментом для розрахунку параметрiв процесу випаровування аерозолiв. У цiй статтi ми представили модель для комп’ютерного моделювання процесу випаровування iонного розчину. Сiль NaCl було вибрано на роль електролiту через свою простоту i широкe застосування. Процес моделювання ґрунтується на методi Монте-Карло. Ми розглядаємо температуру T, тиск навколишнього середовища та концентрацiю NaCl як вхiднi параметри моделювання та коефiцiєнт випаровування як вихiдний. Для моделювання взаємодiї мiж молекулами води були використанi потенцiали Стокмайера i Леннард-Джонса. Щоб оцiнити ефективнiсть запропонованої моделi, коефiцiєнт випаровування було визначено експериментально. Було показано, що отриманi експериментально коефiцiєнти випаровування мають той самий порядок величини, що й розрахованi за допомогою комп’ютерного моделювання.

The results of small angle neutron scattering (SANS) study of semidiluted 0.1 and 0.3 % wt aqueous suspensions of multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) are reported. The additives of Laponite platelets or cationic surfactant cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) were used for enhancing the dispersion ability of MWCNTs. At high values of wave vector q, (1 nm-1 < q < 3.5 nm-1) all samples exhibited behavior characteristic for rigid rods (i.e., q-1 variation of neutron scattering intensity was observed). At low values of q (0.1 nm-1 < q < 0.5 nm-1), the neutron scattering intensity followed the power law q- with exponent the  in the range of 1.2 - 2, depending on concentration of the Laponite platelets or CTAB. Addition of Laponite platelets or CTAB allowed improvement of dispersion ability of MWCNTs. The effects were optimal at the certain value of Laponite/MWCNTs ratio X 0.5 or CTAB concentration (0.2 %wt). SANS also revealed existence of a mesh structure in MWCNT aggregates with characteristic mesh size of 7.4 nm and 6.3 nm in suspensions with concentration of 0.1 and 0.3 % wt of MWCNTs, respectively.
