Taraxacum kok-saghyz (TKS), known as Russian dandelion, can produce high-quality natural rubber. The dry weight content of rubber in the TKS roots was found to be approximately 6–9%, of which 61% and 39% were stored in the root bark and root flesh, respectively. The content of lignin and holocellulose accounted for about 40% of the total root. Two new aqueous-based rubber extraction processes were proposed and optimized, namely, the strong water shearing process and the acid–base extraction process. These two processes made the purity of rubber reach about 91% and 94%, respectively. TKS rubber was characterized as having similar composition, and molecular structure to Hevea NR, and TKS rubber samples did not exhibit the strain-induced crystallization (SIC) phenomenon. TKS rubber was blended into a winter tire tread formulation and tested. The results showed no significant differences in processing and mechanical properties from the other formulations.

Healthy and sustainable urban agglomerations development relies heavily on land use optimization. However, there is insufficient scientific basis and reliable quantitative analysis for land use pattern identification and optimal prediction in embryonic urban agglomeration. Therefore, taking the Lanzhou–Xining (LX) region, a typical primary developing urban agglomeration, as the study area, we first assessed the land ecological suitability (LES). Then, we embedded the LES evaluation results in the land optimization process and constructed the MCR-MOP- Dyna-CLUE model framework, simulating and optimizing land use patterns for the year 2035 under ecological optimization and business as usual scenarios, which aimed to explore a sustainable land use pattern for embryonic urban agglomerations. The results indicated that the ecological optimization scenario based on LES had a more rational land use pattern. It appropriately controlled the expansion rate of construction land and effectively alleviated the problems of construction land encroaching on farming land and ecological land. Meanwhile, the ecosystem services increased in value based on adequately addressing the need for food security and economic development. Compared to the business as usual scenario, the construction land under the ecological optimization scenario was 19,622.69 ha less, and the cultivated land was 32,103.29 ha more. Moreover, the ecological benefit and the economic benefit increased by 187,490.4595 million yuan and 151,808,605.1 million yuan from 2020 to 2035, respectively, under the ecological optimization scenario. Our research is of great value for making decisions on sustainable land use and land resource management in initial developing agglomerations.

With the rapid development of Internet technology, the problem of client-side source storage resources is gradually exposed. In view of the problems of small capacity, uneven distribution, and diversification of attributable entities of user-side source storage resources, the current blockchain energy storage is difficult to schedule, and user-side sources and storage resources cannot be added to power scheduling optimization, resulting in unusable resources. In order to effectively utilize user-side resources, this paper proposes a blockchain energy storage scheduling visualization system (BESSVS) that takes into account the optimal scheduling of user-side source storage resources. The BESSVS can coordinate and optimize the management and control of decentralized power resources and load resources, and effectively combine the Internet of Things and the power plant storage energy corresponding to the BESSVS for optimal scheduling. The design of blockchain energy storage scheduling visualization system is mainly carried out from the system main body and data information structure. The advantages of blockchain in data storage, information security, data interoperability, etc., are introduced into the economic scheduling of blockchain energy storage. It is conducive to the stable scheduling of information transparency and also improves the data security and storage security of the system. Finally, the feasibility and practicability of the method are verified by an example.

Inflammatory response plays a critical role in myocardial infarction (MI) repair. The neutrophil apoptosis and subsequent macrophage ingestion can result in inflammation resolution and initiate regeneration, while the therapeutic strategy that simulates and enhances this natural process has not been established. Here, we constructed engineered neutrophil apoptotic bodies (eNABs) to simulate natural neutrophil apoptosis, which regulated inflammation response and enhanced MI repair. The eNABs were fabricated by combining natural neutrophil apoptotic body membrane which has excellent inflammation-tropism and immunoregulatory properties, and mesoporous silica nanoparticles loaded with hexyl 5-aminolevulinate hydrochloride (HAL). The eNABs actively targeted to macrophages and the encapsulated HAL simultaneously initiated the biosynthesis pathway of heme to produce anti-inflammatory bilirubin after intracellular release, thereby further enhancing the anti-inflammation effects. In in vivo studies, the eNABs efficiently modulated inflammation responses in the infarcted region to ameliorate cardiac function. Objective Atherosclerosis is a chronic cardiovascular disease associated with oxidative stress damage, which is caused by excessive oxidation of low-density lipoprotein (ox-LDL). The role of microRNA miR-34a-5p on oxidative stress in ox-LDL–treated macrophages was investigated in this study. Methods Flow cytometry was prepared for assessing THP1-derived macrophage apoptosis. The protein and expression levels of miR-34a-5p and MDM4 were examined by Western blot and RT-qPCR, respectively. We also measured the levels of total cholesterol (TC) and triglyceride to determine the lipid accumulation. Subsequently, the activities of superoxide dismutase, malondialdehyde, and reactive oxygen species revealed the level of oxidative stress injury after miR-34a-5p and MDM4 knockdown. Results After ox-LDL treatment, cell apoptosis of macrophages increased in a dose-dependent and time-dependent manner. With the increase of ox-LDL treatment and the prolongation of treatment time, the expression level of miR-34a-5p was upregulated. Next, interfering with miR-34a-5p inhibited lipid accumulation and oxidative stress injury in ox-LDL–stimulated macrophages. MDM4 was a target gene of miR-34a-5p and was upregulated in ox-LDL–stimulated macrophages. With the increase of ox-LDL treatment and the prolongation of treatment time, the expression level of MDM4 was downregulated. Importantly, MDM4 knockdown partially counteracted the inhibitory effect of miR-34a-5p on oxidative stress injury. Conclusion MicroRNA miR-34a-5p knockdown suppressed oxidative stress injury via MDM4 in ox-LDL–treated macrophages.

Distributed feeder automation (FA) needs to automatically recognize the changes in the feeder topology in real-time and has to configure the application topology of the corresponding distributed functions. This paper analyzes the application topology’s requirements when implementing distributed FA for the feeder equipped with a smart terminal unit (STU) and a fault passage indicator (FPI). Based on IEC 61850, the functional logic node and topology configuration of intelligent electronic devices (IEDs) are studied. The application topology identification and data flow dynamic binding methods for fault location, fault isolation, and power supply restoration are proposed. A case study verifies the effectiveness of the proposed method.

The purpose is to realize the decentralized microgrid economic dispatch, improve the information transparency and security of microgrid systems, and make the power grid move towards a clean, safe, efficient, and reliable development path. Deep learning optimization of microgrid economic dispatch and wireless power transmission based on blockchain technology are studied. First, the related theories and methods of microgrid systems, wireless power transmission, and deep learning optimization based on blockchain technology are introduced. Next, the microgrid economic dispatch is simulated and analyzed on a large scale. Finally, the comparison results between microgrid economic dispatch and common radio energy transmission technologies are analyzed. The results show that daily planning can better coordinate the state of distributed generation, energy storage system, and public connection. The operation results of the previous day correspond to the long-term operation economy of the microgrid. The total operation cost of the microgrid is 4668 yuan/day, and the remaining power is maintained between 500 and 600 kW, which helps to prevent excessive battery discharge, prolong battery life, and reduce operation cost. The simulation results show that the total power imbalance of the microgrid can reduce the output fluctuation of controllable load shedding of distributed generation. When the load characteristics are not important, the output fluctuation of controllable distributed generation can be reduced. The proposed economic dispatch model can optimize the data security, information storage, and information release of the microgrid and has a certain guiding role for the development of the national power grid and power industry.

This article describes a digital workflow for fabricating an interim obturator after partial maxillectomy which utilizes the radiopacity of iodoform gauze, a common surgical packing material, to simulate postoperative oronasal defect cavities through a computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD-CAM) workflow and to generate the interim obturator by 3-dimensional printing. This technique may serve as a promising alternative technique for the fabrication of an interim obturator and, in particular, benefit patients who have not seen a prosthetic specialist before surgery and present without a surgical obturator.

CoCrCuFeMnNix (x = 0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0 mol, named as Ni0, Ni0.5, Ni1.0, Ni1.5, and Ni2.0, respectively) high-entropy alloy powders (HEAPs) were prepared via mechanical alloying (MA), and XRD, SEM, EDS, and vacuum annealing were used to study the alloying behavior, phase transition, and thermal stability. The results indicated that the Ni0, Ni0.5, and Ni1.0 HEAPs were alloyed at the initial stage (5–15 h), the metastable BCC + FCC two-phase solid solution structure was formed, and the BCC phase disappeared gradually with the prolonging of ball milling time. Finally, a single FCC structure was formed. Both Ni1.5 and Ni2.0 alloys with high nickel content formed a single FCC structure during the whole mechanical alloying process. The five kinds of HEAPs showed equiaxed particles in dry milling, and the particle size increased with an increase in milling time. After wet milling, they changed into lamellar morphology with thickness less than 1 μm and maximum size less than 20 μm. The composition of each component was close to its nominal composition, and the alloying sequence during ball milling was Cu→Mn→Co→Ni→Fe→Cr. After vacuum annealing at 700~900 °C, the FCC phase in the HEAPs with low Ni content transformed into FCC2 secondary phase, FCC1 primary phase, and a minor σ phase. The thermal stability of HEAPs can be improved by increasing Ni content.

To derive a mutant of L. helveticus SH2‐1 with the capacity of weak postacidification and high texturing, first, taking L. delbrueckii frs4‐1 and S. thermophilus grx02 as the controls, H+‐ATPase activity was demonstrated to be highly related to the postacidification of L. helveticus SH2‐1. Then, by detecting H+‐ATPase activity, the weak postacidify mutant of L. helveticus SH2‐1 (renamed as L. helveticus sh2‐5–66) was selected from 80 UV mutants. The pH and acidity of the milk fermented with L. helveticus sh2‐5–66 were separately 0.57 pH units higher and 57.1 °T lower than that of L. helveticus SH2‐1. The acidification of L. helveticus sh2‐5–66 was further demonstrated to be genetically stable during 100 generations cultivation. Moreover, the milk fermented with L. helveticus sh2‐5–66 showed improvement in textural and rheological properties and flavor during storage which could be further improved by coculture with the commercial starter S. thermophilus st447., H+‐ATPase activity was demonstrated to be highly related to the postacidification of L. helveticus SH2‐1. By detecting H+‐ATPase activity, the weak postacidify mutant renamed as L. helveticus sh2‐5–66 was selected from 80 UV mutants. The milk fermented with L. helveticus sh2‐5–66 showed improvement in textural and rheological properties and flavor during storage.

Background: In this study, we evaluated the effect of periodontal splints made from different materials on the stress distributions in compromised periodontal tissues and cement layers, using a computer simulation of mastication. Methods: Twenty-five 3D models were created for a segment of mandibular teeth with different periodontal splints bilaterally extended to the canines. The models were divided into five groups according to the different materials and thicknesses (mm) of the splints: the non-splinted group, PEEK 0.7 group, PEEK 1.0 group, FRC group, and titanium group. Each group was subdivided based on five bone loss levels. Tooth 41 of each model was subjected to vertical and oblique (θ = 45°) static loads of 100 N, respectively, onto the incisal edge. The von Mises stresses and maximum principal stress were analyzed using Abaqus software. Results: Oblique loading resulted in higher stresses on periodontal tissues, cement layers, and splints than those caused by vertical loading. The lower the supporting bone level, the greater the stress difference between the splinted groups and the non-splinted group. In model 133,331, with severe bone loss, the maximum von Mises stress values on the alveolar bone in tooth 41 under oblique loading dramatically decreased from 406.4 MPa in the non-splinted group to 28.62 MPa in the PEEK group and to 9.59 MPa in the titanium group. The four splinted groups presented similar stress distributions in periodontal tissues. The lowest stress level on the splint was observed in the PEEK 0.7 group, and the highest stress level was transferred to the cement layer in this group. Stress concentrations were primarily exhibited at the connectors near the load-carrying area. Conclusions: The tested splinted groups were all effective in distributing the loads on periodontal tissues around splinted teeth with similar patterns. Using splinting materials with low elastic moduli reduced the stress concentration at the splint connectors, whereas the tensile stress concentration was increased in the cement layer. Thus, the use of adhesive cement with a higher elastic modulus is recommended when applying less rigid PEEK splints.

Due to the abundant marine resources, smart ocean has attracted much attention of the government, industry, and academy. The Internet-of-Things (IoT) architectures for smart ocean have been proposed to collect various of data from the ocean, thereby assisting environmental protection, military reconnaissance, and so on. However, few researchers have paid attention to the security and privacy issues of data collection and transmission. In this article, for the unreliable underwater environment, we present a secure, efficient, and complete data collection, and transmission and storage scheme for IoT in smart ocean. Especially, to prolong the lifetime of the underwater node, two novel data compression algorithms [lossy data compression algorithm (LCA) and lossless data compression algorithm (NLCA)] are also proposed. Moreover, due to the vulnerability of underwater nodes, we also propose a corresponding IoT framework and data collection pattern to resist the single point failure attack. Besides, to guarantee the confidentiality, reliability, and integrity of transmitting data, Elliptic Curve-ElGamal (EC-ElGamal) and elliptic curve digital signature algorithm (ECDSA) are employed. The consensus algorithm and blacklisting mechanism are also employed to detect and address failure or malicious nodes. Finally, the security analysis demonstrates that our scheme is able to resist many typical attacks for underwater nodes, such as manipulation attacks, Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attacks, malicious node injection attacks, and so on. Additionally, relevant experimental results show that the scheme is feasibility and efficiency.

Beidou-3 (BD3) uses the pseudo range transmission method to calculate the clock difference through the pseudo range. However, due to the influence of electromagnetic interference, the clock difference measurement error is too large, which affects the timing accuracy of the power system. This paper first introduces the principle of Beidou timing service; Secondly, it introduces the clock error calculation method; Finally, combined with the clock difference calculation method, this paper presents an anti-interference clock difference correction method based on Least Mean Square (LMS) filter. According to the principle of LMS filter, the influence of electromagnetic interference on pseudo distance can be eliminated, and the clock difference can be calculated. Then the clock difference can be corrected. The simulation results show that the method is feasible and effective.

It is of great significance to locate faults quickly and accurately in power distribution system to improve system reliability and recover quickly. With high positioning accuracy, strong anti-interference ability in mountainous areas and cities, and the ability to provide all-weather and all-round services, the BeiDou-3 (BD3) navigation satellite system has broad application prospects in power systems. Using the filtering principle of normalized least mean square (NLMS) filter, a high-precision positioning method for BD3 system based on adaptive optimization is propose to eliminate the pseudo-range error caused by electromagnetic interference. Simulation results show that NLMS-based adaptive pseudo-range filtering method can availably decrease the pseudo-range error caused by high proportional electromagnetic interference in the power system, achieve adaptive optimization of power system device positioning, and improve positioning accuracy.

The application of sponge iron (SI) carriers can improve the biochemical treatment performance of sequencing batch reactors (SBR) during wastewater treatment. This study used SBR reactors to explore the effects of SI dosage on the nitrogen removal performance and reactor stability and microbial community structure under low temperature and ultra-low load. In contrast to conventional SBR, the average removal rate of total nitrogen (TN) in the biological sponge iron system (BSIS) was increased by 5.38 % for 45 g/L, 18.93 % for 90 g/L, and 13.52 % for 135 g/L, respectively. The nitrogen removal performance and reactor stability showed the best performance under the SI dosage of 90 g/L. The addition of SI formed the anaerobic-anoxic-aerobic microenvironments, which facilitate the propagation of denitrifying bacteria (Saccharimonadales, Hydrogenophaga) and iron bacteria (Rhodoferax and Acinetobacter) in the BSIS. This study provides a new insight on the application of SI in the wastewater treatment.
