The William Carter Co. has built a new showroom at the Children's Wear Center in Manhattan, New York, NY with the help of Milo Kleinberg Design Associates. The colorful children's garments are set off by an environment in shades of light brown, while visitors are welcomed by an area that features comfortable armchairs. The large conference room was provided with a multilevel ceiling and downlighting.

The cruise ship Queen Elizabeth 2 underwent extensive renovations and design modifications to improve passenger circulation and enhance its overall aesthetic look. Renovations were made on 75 % of the vessel's infrastructure including its restaurants, lounges, cabins and even its stairs and bathrooms. The project is a collaboration between MET Studio and McNeece Ltd. and its estimated cost is $45 million.

Armstrong Associates' design for the New York City-based Entertainment Technology Communications Group was developed from a low budget allocation that required the redesign of a 7000-square-foot area on the 11th floor of a Manhattan building. Cost-effective design techniques were used with light and color as the major design elements. A lighting arrangement that gives even illumination is achieved by energy efficient fluorescent fixtures suspended from 24-inch pendants.

Design centers are made freely accessible to consumers to educate them about the designers work and product quality. A survey of 1,044 consumers indicated the increased use of designers products. The consumers are approached through advertisements and workshops. The open design center method provides financial benefit to the designer and also increases the sale of the products.

Design firm Ronnette Riley Architect created Coca-Cola's Fifth Avenue retail facilities by applying its ribbon-like logo all over the store.
