Ancient societies don’t let written marks about their actions. So the print they let on their environment by producing countries and territories represent a real source of information for archaeologists. Thus, the spatial arrangements indicate some events that have to be interpreting, as the disappearance or the displacement of the cities and of the productive spaces. In the extreme environment as the deserts, space is deeply marked by the decisions of societies and the frequent discontinuity of the occupations allows to read more easily the spatial models of organization.
