This study aims to improve the mathematical problem-solving skills of junior high school students on the Pythagorean Theorem by developing learning media based on Android applications. This study used method research and development to the Borg and Gall model. The participants in this study were junior high school students who had studied the concept of the Pythagorean Theorem. The number of respondents involved as many as 25 students. Based on development research results, learning media has been tested valid by material experts, linguists, and media experts. The media was also tested good by teachers and students in small groups and large groups. The implementation stage used a Pre-Experimental research design, namely One-group Pretest-Posttest Design. This measure test used the N – gain test. The results of the N – gain score obtained a score of 0.53, which indicates an increase in math problem-solving skills for students in the medium category. The study results show a positive impact on accelerating and improving mathematical skills students' because the mobile characteristics of the android application provide opportunities for students to relearn material that is less mastered anywhere and anytime. The results of this study are expected to be used as a reference in the development of learning media based on android applications or other digital applications on other materials as a means and support for learning mathematics in the 21st century.
