This researchfocuses on exploring the effects of game-based learning (GBL) and self regulated learning (SRL) on promoting students' learning and the interactions between teachers, students and peers. The experiment designed for this study was conducted in the course of "Media Marketing Management". The effects of GBL, SRL, and their combination on the students' learning performances are analyzed with the quantitative and qualitative data of students 'learning. Based on the results of this study, it is found that students who receive the combined teaching methods of web-mediated GBL and SRL have better learning performance than those receive traditional GBL in classroom, although insignificantly. Not only is the outcome of SRL and interactive learning improved, the efficiency of teaching is enhanced. The implications of this study are also discussed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

As clinics strive to select information technology contractors that meet their particular outsourcing needs, the medical sector urgently needs evaluation criteria for outsourcing to information technology contractors to alleviate unnecessary risks and achieve an excellent performance. Therefore, this work presents an entropy combined technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS)-based decision-making method for clinics to objectively assess the quality of an information technology supplier when outsourcing their medical information needs, as an alternative to previous decision-making approaches based on subjective evaluations. Each sub-criterion for outsourcing vendors is evaluated using the Delphi method. Moreover, results of interviews with experts are integrated with the entropy method to calculate each criterion of an objective evaluation weight for medical information system (MIS) vendors. Furthermore, a TOPSIS-based survey is designed using comparison to effectively respond to MIS outsourcing demand scores for each item. Furthermore, the proposed entropy and TOPSIS-based decision-making method can provide administrators in hospital clinics with a decision-making and evaluation criteria that actively encourage the medical sector to outsource its information technology needs to contractors. For advertisers, selecting a media agency is complex and frequently subjective. Especially in the media department, advertisers lack clearly objective decision -making procedures and evaluation criteria. Furthermore, most decision makers rely mainly on advertiser experience. Therefore, this investigation develops a model for selecting an optimal media agency for an advertiser. The proposed model comprises three parts. The first part adopts the modified Delphi technique to identify suitable criteria for evaluating media agencies, and then applies the Entropy method to determine the objective criteria weights values. Finally, the research model adopts the grey relational analysis (GRA) to rank alternatives and to select the optimum media agency. Additionally, the example of a renowned Taiwanese food company is used to demonstrate the process of media agency selection using this model. With increasing direct investment in China from overseas companies in recent years, international business centers not only offer overseas investors with resources such as hardware and software capabilities, but also conform to global economic trends. However, most decision making relies on subjective criteria such as personal experiences and judgment, which are not always precise. This study develops a new model for selecting an optimal city for an International Business Office Center. The proposed model applies the Entropy theory to determine the objective Weight values. Grey Relational Analysis (GRA) to rank four Chinese city alternatives in order to select the best city. A famous Taiwanese international business office center is used as an example of how an international business office center city can be selected using this model. This work presents a Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (Fuzzy AHP) model that adopts several important criteria. A questionnaire based on selection criteria identified from pertinent literature and interviews with experts is designed using the modified Delphi Technique and then sent to experts and decision makers. Major selection criteria are then analyzed and ranked using Fuzzy AHP. The proposed selection model not only enables a franchiser to select franchisees more objectively, but also be apply to other brand bedding company chain stores, thus enhancing commercial operations. By applying the GM(1,1) and grey Verhulst model of Grey theory to forecast units, Herfindahl-Hirschman index *HHI), and Gini coefficient of dental clinics in Taiwan, by analyzes the growth trend, geography competition and healthcare distribution, in addition to comparing the accuracy with two models. Measurement results indicate that HHI and Gini coefficient shows the dental clinics tending to proportion in counties, and the average accuracy of the GM(1,1) and grey Verhulst model as applied to growth thends of dental clinics, HHI and Gini coefficient are higher than 99%. Especially, this study identifies the grey Verhulst model creaste higher accuracy in population related issues more than GM(1,1). The model estimates indicate that the number of dental clinics will increase from 2005 to 2007, while the HHI and Gini coefficient will decrease. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
