Scrotal calculi are rare and unique, which are easily confused with tumor. To understand its etiology and harm, our study retrospectively analyzed the clinical characteristics of men with scrotal calculi to provide a reference for clinical practice.Methods: The clinical data of patients who underwent microscopic testicular sperm extraction (MTESE) and microscopic epididymal sperm aspiration (MESA) from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2021 were retrospectively analyzed. Abstract

TiO2 photocatalysts doped with alkaline-earth metal ions were prepared by the impregnation and coprecipitation methods. The sample were characterized by XRD, XPS and IR spectroscopy. Their activities were evaluated by the photocatalytic production of hydrogen. The activities of the doped photocatalysts dopended on the size of the dopant ions and the doping method. The optimum molar contents of dopant ions Be2+, Mg2+, Ca2+, Sr2+, Ba2+ were 1.25, 1.25, 2.25, 2.25 and 2.25 at. %, respectively. The optimum calcination temperature and time were 400°C and 1 h. .

82. Robust plasmonic properties of epitaxial TiN films on highly lattice-mismatched complex oxides

Abstract

High-quality titanium nitride (TiN) film is a prominent plasmonic material in the fields of plasmonics and nanophotonics, which is usually synthesized on several limited substrates (such as MgO, silicon, and sapphire). With the rapid development of hybrid optoelectronic devices composed of plasmonic materials and functional oxides, it is promising to integrate high-quality TiN films with a variety of functional oxides, which requires to accommodate TiN films to a broad spectrum of lattice mismatch. In this work, we synthesized high-quality single-crystalline TiN films on various oxide substrates $[\mathrm{MgO}, {\mathrm{MgAl}}_{2}{\mathrm{O}}_{4},$ $({\mathrm{LaAlO}}_{3}{)}_{0.30}\text{\ensuremath{-}}({\mathrm{SrAl}}_{1/2}{\mathrm{Ta}}_{1/2}{\mathrm{O}}_{3}{)}_{0.70}, \mathrm{and} {\mathrm{YAlO}}_{3}]$ by high-pressure magnetron sputtering. It is surprising that the epitaxial TiN films can accommodate extremely large lattice mismatch up to $\ensuremath{-}15.39%$. The crystal and electronic structures of the TiN films were characterized by high-resolution x-ray diffraction, atomic force microscopy, and x-ray photoemission spectroscopy measurements. The optical and electrical properties of the TiN films on various oxide substrates were investigated by spectroscopic ellipsometry and Hall effect measurements. It is revealed that the remarkable optical properties of TiN films are robust even on highly lattice-mismatched oxide substrates. Our work paves a way to integrate plasmonic TiN films with a variety of functional oxides for high-performance hybrid optoelectronic devices.

Abstract

Condensed π-conjugation C-PAN/MS-CN nanotubes were obtained via a facile polyacrylonitrile (PAN)-confined molten salt (MS) thermal condensation of melamine. Carbonized PAN (C-PAN) nanosheets with a conjugate network structure in the molten salt system acted as partition plates confining the thermal condensation of melamine, which promoted the formation of condensed π-conjugation carbon nitride (CN) for the effective charge carrier separation and photocatalytic H2 evolution. 100. Hierarchically Porous Polymeric Carbon Nitride as a Volume Photocatalyst for Efficient H2 Generation under Strong Irradiation.

Abstract

Generally, photocatalytic reaction efficiency decreases quickly with increasing irradiation intensity. Thus, it is a great challenge to achieve a high reaction efficiency under strong irradiation. Volume photocatalysis (VPs) is a new strategy for improving photocatalytic reaction efficiency. Herein, hierarchically porous polymeric carbon nitride (PCN) U‐PCN‐480 as a novel volume photocatalyst is fabricated by a template‐free pyrolysis of needle‐like urea. It is found for the first time that the hierarchical pore structure endows U‐PCN‐480 with the enhanced photoabsorption ability under strong irradiation. Consequently, Pt/U‐PCN‐480 displays excellent VPs activity for hydrogen evolution in the formic acid reaction system. Notably, the activity and apparent quantum efficiency (AQE) are significantly enhanced with increasing irradiation intensity, and the AQE reaches 62.7% and 70.4% at 400 and 380 nm with the irradiation intensity of 30.5 mW cm−2, respectively, the highest values among the reported data for PCN‐based photocatalysts. This effect of enhanced activity and AQE is the result of the synergy between VPs and the enhanced photoabsorption. The findings offer an approach to resolve the difficult problem of low photocatalytic reaction efficiency under strong irradiation and open a way to develop efficient photocatalyst materials and reaction systems.
