The following paper presents the pedagogical experience of the psychology program at the Universi- dad Tecnológica de Bolívar (UTB), a private university in Colombia (Cartagena de Indias) on how this academic program teaches its students the abstract concept of creativity. A fundamental theoretical construct to understand the development of student skills in the artistic field and problem solving, among other factors. The course plans of this academic center are focused on the promotion of a com- prehensive training of students and that is why all of them, in addition to the specific subjects of their career, are compulsorily taking subjects from the humanities and other areas. In this way, UTB psychology students acquire knowledge about creativity from three different perspectives: 1. the perspective of cognitive psychology from the subject of Cognition, 2. the vision of the Humanities elective subjects and 3. the economic position from the Creativity and Entrepreneurship course. This multidisciplinary academic curriculum allows the future psychologist to have multiple epistemological approaches to creativity based on different teaching methods.

EnglishThe following article presents an exploratory study about the implementation in a middle-sized city of the so-called Historical Memory Law (established in 2007). Through heraldry and numismatics, considering the evolution of the coats of arms of Spain (2nd Republic, Francoism and constitutional monarchy), it was analyzed Francoism symbolism and the execution of the law in the city of Corunna based on a documentary analysis of the city council acts in 2007-2019 lapse. The main conclusion was that the practical implementation of this legal code, apart from being based on symbols of ambiguous cataloging, varied significantly based on the ruling party at the moment (Partido Socialista Obrero Espanol, Partido Popular y Marea Atlantica); making clear that way that the political parameters prevailed over history and law.

The aim of this study is to carry out a systematic review of the existing literature on postoperative morbidity after general anaesthesia (GA) in the dental care of paediatric patients, its frequency, characteristics and association with the intervention performed. An exhaustive search of the literature published up to 23 February 2022 was carried out in PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane and EBSCO, with the following strategy: (infant OR child OR adolescent) AND (Oral Surgical Procedures OR Dentistry, Operative) AND Anesthesia, General AND Postoperative Complications. The most frequent reason for the indication of general anaesthesia was dental caries and its complications (up to 91.0% of patients), followed by lack of cooperation/anxiety and/or fear for dental procedures in the office (between 39.8 and 47.9%). There is a higher prevalence for treatments in the special patient group reaching 87.7% compared to 63.3% in healthy patients. The main comorbidities recorded were: physical or mental disability, neurological, haematological, cardiac disorders, asthma, Down's syndrome; it was not possible to establish their association with the intervention performed. Regarding complications, complaints occurred between 43.0 and 98.9% of cases within the first 24 hours, the main reason being pain (between 14.0% and 95.0%).Pediatric dental procedures under GA carry a very low risk of major complications, but have a virtually universal incidence of minor complications.

: Empiric evidence of the violence in the universities has focused commonly in identify aggressive behaviors or bullying between students and analyze it depending on genre and psychosocial variables. This correlational-exploratory investigation delivers from Colombia, an innovative perspective identifying manners against violence in university environments and the reasons given by the surveyed students to justify it based on religious, academic, economic, political, ethnic and sexual-physical aspects. To accomplish this goal, they were conducted two reliable scales filled out voluntarily by 710 Colombian university students with an average age of 20 years old. Findings indicate that the excuse of violence in the universities for sexual-physical, economic, religious, academical and ideological reasons is significantly associated with gender and aggressive behaviors suffered by the offender. Likewise, witnesses that justified the violence in the university had higher probability of becoming accomplices of the aggressor. These results reveal the need of implement educational strategies with a cognitive approach that allow to intervene multidimensionally in victims, aggressors and witnesses to achieve more effective results when it comes to prevent and decrease violent behaviors between young university students.

Though significant associations are known to exist between Executive Functions (EFs) and aggression, the role of EFs in the context of bullying has rarely been examined in populations of the Caribbean Region of Colombia. This study aims to analyze the relationship between school bullying and the EFs of children and adolescents residing in the Colombian city of Cartagena. The sample was conformed by 181 students from three schools who were evaluated using the abbreviated scale of the School Bullying Questionnaire and the Behavioral Evaluation of Executive Functions BRIEF – 2. The results showed association between various subfactors of the two instruments, which may be clinical indicators of executive dysfunction, mainly in the components of behavioral and emotional regulation, which would be associated with higher levels of school intimidation and symptoms related with bullying. The educational implications of these findings are discussed.

We present in the following investigation, a detailed descriptive analysis of the high-impact scientific production (defined this as all research indexed in the Scopus) database of a Colombian private university, the Universidad Tecnológica de Bolívar, during the period between 2017 – 2019. The purpose of this paper is to clarify the positives and negatives aspects of the implementation of an Annual Goal ́s Plan, related to the scientific production of the teaching staff of this University during the first year of validity (2019). For it, it was reviewed the information of the Scopus database according with several variables such as the kind of product, number of authors, thematic area... and its temporal evolution in these three years, also making a comparison with the rest of universities of its closest environment. Although, the institution was able to overcome by far the goal set (surpass a hundred products), the allocation of scientific production quotas for teachers deepened other trends already present in this university, such as the extreme dependence on work of certain Engineering departments, and the preference for publishing conference proceedings instead of books, book’s chapters or journals.

The organics alternatives in the vegetables production are a strategy to produce free chemical polluted foods that endanger human health. In the present study, the Hermosa indeterminate tomato variety was used and the following treatments were evaluated in a completely randomized design: Compost 2 tons/ha + VAM and BAC + Compost tea 50% (Treatment 1), Compost 4 tons/ha + VAM and BAC + Compost tea 50% (Treatment 2), Compost 6 tons/ha + VAM and BAC + Compost tea 50% (Treatment 3), VAM and BAC + Compost tea 50% (Treatment 4) and Absolute control (Treatment 5). The results indicate that Treatment 3 (Compost 6 ton/ha + VAM and BAC + Compost tea 50%) had the highest plant height at 120 days after planting (414.07 cm). Regarding the number of fruits per plant, fruit weight per experimental unit, fruit weight per m² and fruit weight per plant, no significant differences were identified. The five treatments show no significant difference in polar and equatorial diameter of the fruit weight, fruit density and unit volume. For five treatments evaluated, the pH, Brix and fruit firmness variables do not show significant difference. Key words: Tomato, Lycopersicum, manure.

An exhaustive description of Jose Maria Ruiz-Mateos' long business history, creator of Rumasa and Nueva Rumasa holdings is made in this article, emphasizing the important influence of conservative moral and religious values in the way of managing their companies, being the concepts of traditional christian family and the defense of classic sexual roles, fundamental pillars for this businessman, since management positions in his companies were assigned depending on the sex of the people, their proximity to certain religious congregations and their level of integration in his familiar clan. Ruiz-Mateos' actions are a clear evidence of the disadvantages of controlling a big holding from a family perspective completely corrupted by strict religious values.

Tectona grandis (teak) is an economically important tree. It is a valuable tree whose wood is used in both shipping and carpentry industries. In this work we evaluated 11 treatments to assess the percentage of seed germination of T. grandis. The results showed that after 21 days, four treatments had greater germination percent when compared with the control. These treatments were, (i) when the seeds were exposed to sunlight for three days, 78% germination was observed (ii) the seeds were soaked in water for 72 h, 66% germination was observed (iii) the seeds were soaked in water for 12 h and dried for 12 h at a temperature range of between 22 and 45°C, 79% germination was observed, (iv) finally, the seeds were soaked in fast-flowing water for 24 h and exposed to sunlight for 24 h, 80% germination was observed. In this study we found that the best technique to stimulate germination is to soak the seeds for 24 h, and exposed them to sunlight for 24 h. In conclusion, the technique is easy to apply and also we can treat many seeds at the same time. Key words: Tectona grandis, germination, seeds.

The 18th International Electronic Conference on Synthetic Organic Chemistry session Ionic Liquids Despite the increasing number of papers about the study of the properties of the ionic liquids (ILs), the knowledge of their ecotoxicity and biodegradability are not still well established. In this work the effect of the addition of five different concentrations of aqueous solutions (10%, 1%, 0.1%, 0.01% and 0% (control) in weight) of the IL [C3C1im][NTf2] on the seed germination of six species of pine and on the microbial activity of a soil under P. radiata was determined. This IL was selected taking into account that his thermophysical properties make it a good candidate to being used as lubricant. Seed germination test of species of Eucalyptus globulus, Pinus halepensis, Pinus nigra, Pinus pinaster, Pinus sylvestris and Pinus radiata were carried out. The reason to select these species was their wide geographical distribution and their great economic, social and ecological interest. Five replies with 25 seeds per Petri dish were incubated for every species and treatments, in total 3750 seeds were incubated (6 species x 5 treatments x 5 replicates x .25 seeds) Germinated seeds were monitoring every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Germination had been completed in all the species 45 days of incubation. On the other hand, calorimetric experiments were performed using a microcalorimeter 2277 Thermal Activity Monitor (TAM) Thermometric AB. Measurements were carried out in hermetically sealed 5 ml stainless steel ampoules. Soil samples of 1 g size at water-holding capacity were treated with 0.2 ml of aqueous glucose solution to activate the microbial metabolism.Additionally, a comparison between the effects of this IL in the seed germination and soil microbial activity and the corresponding to two well-known salts, sodium chloride and potassium nitrate, in the same conditions was stablished This study was financed by the project EM2013/031 (Xunta de Galicia, Spain)

- Abstract
Abstract : This paper describes an analysis of sexism that maintains a popular Japanese cartoon, “Digimon”. This program was first broadcast in Spain in 2000 and actually, continues to transmit the image of traditionalist gender roles to children who watch the program. We have compared the main personal characteristics that the program gives each one of the characters based on their sex and the goals they have achieved in the first two seasons of this longlived program, with the new audio-visual material that was introduced in 2015. Also we did a denotative analysis of four chapters of the first season, randomly selected, and the first four chapters of his final season. Conclusions are clear; in both materials, the male protagonists and their companions represent typical male stereotypes: strong leadership and importance of courage and strength; while women represent classic female roles: submissive attitude toward the group leader, great capacity for auto-sacrifice or show affection for each other. Keywords : sexism, violence, social roles, gender stereotypes, cartoons, television. doi : https://doi.org/10.20318/femeris.2017.3549

- Abstract

Positive education, as a method for the positive development of students’ personality, embodies the 24 character strengths that Peterson and Seligman developed in their studies and that are necessary for new professional profiles. This new social and work landscape inspired supranational institutions, such as the European Union, to develop theories for new educational systems. These Key Competencies seek the comprehensive training of students, on not only the cognitive but the socioemotional plane, as occurs with arts education. With this literature review, we intend to demonstrate the relationship between the Key Competencies as catalysts for the development of character strengths in students through art education programmes. The results conclude that it is possible to define a relationship between the Key Competencies and character strengths and to outline the nature of these relationships, noting that certain patterns of combinations of strengths are repeated in the Key Competencies. Additionally, our work leads us to propose the need to increase the volume of research in this field and to design future studies that allow an empirical evaluation of the nature of these connections and whether they are efficient and enduring.

Abstract Introduction Collagenase Clostridium Histolyticum (CCH) has become a therapeutic alternative for Dupuytren disease. However, its efficacy in the medium to long term is unknown. The objective of our study is to carry out a systematic review of the studies conducted on the subject. Material and Methods Systematic bibliographic search. Analysis depending on the time of progression, looking into 2 groups with the follow-up cut-off point of 1 year. Analysis of the number of patients who reached the primary endpoint, of the mean correction in degrees, and of the proportional correction of each joint. Results The 50 selected clinical trials encompass a total of 4,622 patients (an average of 92.70). A total of 7,546 joints were treated with the mean being 148.15 joints per trial (3,925 metacarpophalangeal [MCP] and 2,350 proximal interphalangeal [PIP]). In less than one year of progression, the primary end point was reached in 48.9% of the joints (69.77% of the MCPs and 30.14% of the PIPs), the mean correction in degrees was 45.5 (standard deviation [SD]: 19.18) degrees; 40.8 degrees in the MCP (SD: 10.12) and 35.6 in the PIP (SD: 13.23), and the proportional correction of the joints was 72.9% (SD: 14.43) (83.9% for MCPs [SD: 12.58] and 64.2 for the PIPs [SD: 16.35]). In the follow-ups over 1 year, the primary end point was reached at a rate of 57.5% (68.9% of the MCPs and 43.3% of the PIPs), the mean correction in degrees was 37.6 degrees (SD: 10.93) (37.3 degrees in the MCPs [SD: 9.98] and 23.7 in the PIPs [SD: 16.33]) and the proportional correction of the joints was 87.3% (SD: 10.96) (90.3% for MCP [SD: 6.94] and 75% for PIP [SD: 13.54]). Conclusions The results indicate a satisfactory response to CCH treatment maintained in the short and medium term. The recurrence rate is uncertain given the available data.

We report a successful bilateral globus pallidus internus-deep brain stimulation (GPi-DBS) for a Parkinson disease (PD) patient with idiopathic normal pressure hydrocephalus (INPH) and an unusually long anterior commissure-posterior commissure (AC-PC) line. A 54-year-old man presented with a history of 3 months of severe shuffling gait, rigidity, slow movements of the left side limbs, and difficulty managing finances. A brain MRI revealed marked ventriculomegaly (Evans index = 0.42). The patient was diagnosed with INPH and a ventriculoperitoneal shunt was placed. Cognitive impairment improved, but walking disturbances, slowness, and rigidity persisted. Then treatment with levodopa was added, and the patient experienced a sustained improvement. He was diagnosed with PD. After 7 years, the patient developed gait freezing and severe levodopa-induced dyskinesia. The patient underwent bilateral GPi-DBS. We used MRI/CT fusion techniques for anatomical indirect targeting. Indirect targeting is based on standardized stereotactic atlas and on a formula—derived method based on AC-PC landmarks. The AC-PC line was 40 mm (the usual length is between 19 and 32 mm). Intraoperative microelectrode recording was a non-expendable test, but multiple recordings were avoided to reduce the surgical risk of ventricular involvement. There was a 71% decrease in the UPDRS III score during the on-stimulation state (28 to 8). The patient's dyskinesias resolved dramatically with a UdysRS of 15 (88% improvement) during the on-stimulation condition. The observed motor benefits and the improvement of his daily activities have persisted 6 months after surgery. Deep brain stimulation surgery in PD with ventriculomegaly is a challenge. This procedure can result in a greater chance of breaching the ventricle, with risks of intraventricular hemorrhage and migration of cerebrospinal fluid into the brain parenchyma with target displacement. Furthermore, clinical judgment is paramount when recent onset of shuffling gait coexists with ventriculomegaly because the most common dilemma is differentiating between PD and INPH. For these reasons, neurologists and surgeons may refuse to operate on PD patients with ventriculomegaly. However, DBS should be considered for PD patients with motor complications when responsiveness to levodopa is demonstrated, even in the context of marked ventriculomegaly.

The irrigation methods offer a good alternative for increasing water use efficiency. The main purpose of this study was to identify the best irrigation level for Habanero pepper (Capsicum chinense Jacq.) plants based on available water capacity (AWC) of substrate. An experiment carried out with three irrigation levels (20, 40 and 60% of AWC) and five genotypes (H225, H241, H244, H226 and Jaguar). The irrigation level of 20% decreased the soil water potential to cause water stress in plants. At an irrigation level of 40%, average jaguar plant height (92 cm) and H241 (79 cm), genotypes were greater than under the other treatments. Average leaf area of H225, H241 and H244 plants was at least 48% greater than Jaguar plants. Average total dry matter of H241 and Jaguar plants, were 30 and 28% greater than H226 plants; and values of maximum photochemical quantum yield (Fv/Fm), relative electron transport rate and effective photochemical quantum yield of photosystem II were higher in H241, H244 and H226 plants; i.e. they are less probably due to photo inhibition damage. However, flowering time was earlier in plants with an irrigation level (IL) of 20% than plants with an IL of 40%, this was a consequence of stress due to water deficit. The 60% irrigation treatment caused flooding and all genotypes died before the inflorescence stage. These results suggest the enforcement of a suitable irrigation level based in available water capacity of substrate coupled with a vigorous genotype can encourage healthy plants and high water use efficiency.

Medicine ,Science - Abstract
Previous studies have examined separately how pollinator generalization and abundance influence plant reproductive success, but none so far has evaluated simultaneously the relative importance of these pollinator attributes. Here we evaluated the extent to which pollinator generalization and abundance influence plant reproductive success per visit and at the population level on a generalist plant, Opuntia sulphurea (Cactaceae). We used field experiments and path analysis to evaluate whether the per-visit effect is determined by the pollinator's degree of generalization, and whether the population level effect (pollinator impact) is determined by the pollinator's degree of generalization and abundance. Based on the models we tested, we concluded that the per-visit effect of a pollinator on plant reproduction was not determined by the pollinators' degree of generalization, while the population-level impact of a pollinator on plant reproduction was mainly determined by the pollinators' degree of generalization. Thus, generalist pollinators have the greatest species impact on pollination and reproductive success of O. sulphurea. According to our analysis this greatest impact of generalist pollinators may be partly explained by pollinator abundance. However, as abundance does not suffice as an explanation of pollinator impact, we suggest that vagility, need for resource consumption, and energetic efficiency of generalist pollinators may also contribute to determine a pollinator's impact on plant reproduction.

- Abstract
Objective: Carbapenemase-producing Enterobacterias is a global health hazard due to their ease of transmission, difficulty of treatment, and their personal and economic impact. We analyze the factors associated with an increased risk of infection by Klebsiella pneumoniae carbapenemase-producing bacteria (KPC) and factors related to poor prognosis., Methods: We designed a case-control study. KPC isolates were taken during an outbreak in a hospital in Madrid. A logistic regression was performed with the main variables., Results: Sixteen cases of clinically documented infections were isolated. Overall mortality rates in the cases group was 25%. The most frequent location was blood (37.5%) followed by urine (25%). All but one were OXA-48. Regarding factors related to an increased risk of developing infection, only previous exposure to antibiotics presented statistical significance difference OR 13 (2.40-70.46). With respect to the overall mortality, the presence of pneumonia OR 25 (1.93-323.55) or the use of invasive mechanical ventilation was associated with greater risk 15 OR 33 (1.92-122.8) For attributable mortality only invasive ventilation had a significant association OR 18 (1.48-218.95)., Conclusions: Exposure to previous antibiotics is an independent risk factor for developing KPC infection, adjusted for all other clinical and demographic variables. Risk factors such as the presence of pneumonia or the use of invasive mechanical ventilation were associated with a worse prognosis in terms of overall and attributable mortality., (©The Author 2018.
