Challenges and trials in HR require everything that deals with being a person to anyone and any office. This study aimed to contribute to the field of human services management as well as to business and management by measuring the process of organizational learning, work engagement, and the role of HR officers in HSOs in Cagayan de Oro City to be backed up with the best model when dealing with its staff and faculty regarding organizational performance. The study used descriptive correlational and causal-comparative designs. Two hundred fifty-five respondents were fulltime staff and faculty in the selected higher institutions in the city. A researcher's survey questionnaire was used to gather the data and identify the influence of the variables. Results revealed that the respondents' answers were highly aware, very highly implemented, very highly engaged, and very highly performed when dealing with the organizational performance of HEIs, showing causal model 3 is the best-fit model for organizational performance. It is concluded that the environment plays a vital role in the level of awareness of the role of human resource officers, where improvements in the hiring process must be thoroughly evaluated, leading to the organizational performance of the higher education institutions. It is recommended that the administration encourage the HR officer to propose a continuous development of emotional intelligence programs and seminars to improve the social-emotional awareness of the employees, leading to well-developed self-control and interpersonal skills, which are vital to the organizational performance of institutions. The study explores the impact of Alternative Work Arrangements (AWA) on organizational performance in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, focusing on public school teachers' experiences in the Philippines. The Civil Service Commission (CSC) introduced AWA policies, such as work-from-home, skeleton workforce, and flexible working hours, to ensure the continuity of public services while prioritizing the safety and health of employees. This qualitative research utilized an interpretive approach, gathering data through Google Forms interviews with eight participants who had experienced AWAs. Four major themes emerged from the data: work-life balance, the suitability and challenges of AWAs, adaptation and adjustment to the new working conditions, and a focus on results. Participants reported that AWAs allowed for a better work-life balance and personal safety, though they faced challenges such as technological limitations and time management issues. The study found that teachers and their superiors were generally supportive of the AWAs, with a focus on output rather than physical presence. These findings underscore the potential of AWAs to enhance organizational performance by increasing employee satisfaction and productivity, despite the challenges of transitioning away from traditional work setups. The research suggests further examination of AWA policies to enhance their implementation and address gaps, such as providing more robust technological support and family-friendly work environments. Purpose: Knowledge management is a common practice in organizations, with empirical evidence suggesting that organizations value the breadth of their knowledge capabilities. This study investigated transformational leadership styles and their influence on knowledge management practices and organizational performance. Design/methodology/approach: A quantitative survey was conducted, and data from 270 managers of Islamic banks in the United Arab Emirates were analyzed. Findings: Transformational leadership (TL) considerably affects organizational performance and knowledge management capabilities (KMC). This study explores the relationship between AI applications and supply chain concentration. We measure the AI applications of Chinese listed firms based on text analytics on annual reports from 2007 to 2021. Our results show that AI applications reduce supply chain concentration, and these results are robust to endogeneity examination. This study was conducted to determine the relationship and influence of financial inclusion on the business performance of micro and small enterprises (MSEs). The level of financial inclusion was investigated through access, usage, quality, and welfare. Business performance with its dimensions of sales growth, capital growth, labor increase, market growth and profit growth were also examined. Consequently, the relationship between financial inclusion and business performance, and the influence of financial inclusion on the business performance of MSEs were studied. Descriptive-correlational design was used to explore and describe connections between financial inclusion and business performance. Data were collected from the fifty (50) owners and managers of MSEs using stratified random sampling technique. Upon careful analysis of the results, it became evident that micro and small enterprises demonstrate a very high level of financial inclusion, coupled also with high results of their business performance. Further, it is found that there exists a statistically significant and positive relationship between financial inclusion and business performance. Moreover, it was revealed that financial inclusion significantly influences the business performance of MSEs. These findings underscore the critical importance of enhancing the financial inclusion initiatives for MSEs as it directly impacts and improves their overall business performance. Although literature investigating role of Green Marketing (GM) in enhancing firm's performance is voluminous, there is a scarcity of studies exploring effects of GM on organizational sustainable performance in developing countries context. This study explores the impact of implementing GM on organizational sustainable performance in Palestinian food industries. To this end, GM practices and organizational sustainable performance-related data were collected through a questionnaire and analyzed using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Results show a modest, unstructured quasi-GM strategy. More specifically, both green product and green placement and distribution contribute to enhancing the firm's environmental performance (EP), while green promotion enhances the economic performance (EcP). Also, the social performance (SP) is affected by the green placement and distribution. However, green pricing has no significant effect on the organizational sustainable performance. This study is among few studies exploring impacts of GM on firm's organizational sustainable performance in developing countries context, thus adding significant value to the literature by attempting to counter sustainable performance issues in current complex business environments. Digitisation is among the macro-trends that significantly influence the business world in the twenty-first century. Firms striving to succeed in this environment must develop new strategic approaches. The accelerating development of information technology (IT) drives digitisation. Therefore, IT and business strategies must be integrated. In this context, the information systems literature promotes the concept of digital business strategies (DBSs), reflecting a fusion between IT and business strategies. However, knowledge of the types and characteristics of such DBSs is currently scarce. Therefore, we developed a conceptually and empirically grounded typology of DBS based on the well-known business strategy classification by Miles and Snow (1978). Using a dataset comprising 192 firms worldwide, we conducted a cluster analysis, identified basic types of DBS, and evaluated their effects on firm performance. Moreover, we identified four types of DBS: non-digital reactor, analyser, digital opportunist, and digital producer. Innovation continues to be a strategic priority of corporate competitiveness. Despite there is a sizable body of research that addresses how innovations influence various business outcomes, little is known as to whether and how process and product innovation may fuel/hinder the supply chain strategic fit (SCSF) and the business performance of focal small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Employing structural equation modelling on data collected from 258 Korean SMEs, we find that both process and product innovations positively impact SCSF, and that improved SCSF positively influences on SME performance. Our study also suggests a non-monotonic contingency effect of environmental uncertainty on the relationship between SME innovation and SCSF. Specifically, we find that environmental uncertainty strengthens the positive effect of process innovation on SCSF but weakens the positive impact of product innovation on SCSF. Our study contributes to the innovation and supply chain management literature with novel theoretical and managerial knowledge on how to manage innovation and SCSF under different environmental conditions. This study attempts to understand the processes that occur until the adoption of information technology resources yields the expected results. In particular, a value chain perspective is integrated with this relationship to investigate how the characteristics of each business activity result in distinct outcomes, thereby providing specific evidence for the management of information technology resources. The study also examines the moderating role of organisational restructuring in the relationship between information technology resources and firm performance. This study takes a third way to look at this relationship, assuming that both impacts can be observed, depending on the usage level. The question of what is the right amount of managerial autonomy has been widely debated. The new public management movement argues that increased autonomy will be used by managers to improve organizational performance. Skeptics argue that managers in the public sector are likely to shy away from using increased autonomy. To bring the literature forward we theorize the link between reforms awarding managers increased autonomy and subsequent organizational performance outcomes. We identify four steps in this causal chain, which are easily conflated. We demonstrate empirically the potential of focusing on the intermediary mechanisms of increasing managerial autonomy. A large-scale municipal amalgamation reform in Denmark provides a unique opportunity to study the immediate impacts of changes in managerial autonomy in public schools. This research aims to emphasize on Dynamic Capability View and Human Capital Framework to analyze the effect of HR Analytics capabilities on organizational performance with innovative capability as a mediator. Further, the study will evaluate the role Technological Turbulence as a moderator. An empirical test utilizing a sample of 418 Indian HR professionals through structural equation modeling and Artificial Neural Network (ANN) was conducted. The findings illustrates that HR Analytics capabilities (intangible resources, human skills and tangible resources) have a significant impact on organizational performance. Innovative capability acts as a significant mediator between HR analytics capabilities and organizational performance. The relationship between organizational performance and innovative capability is positively moderated by technological turbulence. Further the mediated moderation impact of Innovative capability and Technological turbulence was significant between HR analytics capabilities and organizational performance. This research makes recommendations for HR directors and executives on how to effectively utilize their resources while keeping innovation in mind. Purpose: This study aims to distinguish how unabsorbed and absorbed slack affects market and financial performance via proactive and reactive supply chain resilience (SCRES), particularly under varying conditions of organizational ambidexterity. Design/methodology/approach: By collecting survey data from 277 Chinese manufacturers, we verify the conceptual model applying structural equation modeling. Findings: Proactive SCRES mediates the positive impacts of both unabsorbed and absorbed slack on market and financial performance, whereas reactive SCRES mediates only their positive effects on financial performance. High levels of organizational ambidexterity strengthen the indirect effects of both types of slack on market and financial performance via proactive SCRES, but not when mediated by reactive SCRES. Originality/value: We introduce a new theoretical perspective to view fits (as mediation) between the use of unabsorbed/absorbed slack in different ways when switching attentions to proactive or reactive SCRES, both of which can be improved through organizational ambidexterity. This study offers novel insights into how managers can switch attentions between proactive and reactive SCRES knowing when to appropriately use unabsorbed/absorbed slack for which purposes, and the use of different learning modes (explorative vs exploitative). This study examines the role of growth opportunities on stock buybacks and provides evidence on the importance of signaling and agency theories in explaining stock buybacks. Both theories are required to fully explain stock buybacks. As per the signaling theory, we find that the announcement period returns are positive for stock buybacks, which indicates that the buyback firms' stock is undervalued. Furthermore, consistent with agency theory, we also find that the announcement period returns are higher for firms with low growth opportunities and high free cash flow. We also examine buyback firms' long-run stock price performance for 12 months, 24 months, and 36 months following the buyback. We use the Fama–French five-factor model to study the long-run stock performance of buyback firms because of its better explanatory power than the three-factor model. Low growth-high free cash flow firms tend to outperform their benchmark portfolios during this period. Recent regulations such as the Stock Buyback Tax can discourage low growth firms from conducting stock buybacks, which could increase agency costs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

As firms increasingly uncover their activities to key stakeholders through various media, the perception of these activities is becoming more important for firm performance. Traditionally, access to industry-wide databases provides important metrics on customer perceptions of performance, such as customer satisfaction and brand equity. In addition, numerous studies have highlighted firms' innovation-related actions (e.g., R&D spending and patent counts) as critical metrics linked to their financial performance. Perceived Firm Innovation (PFI) emerges as a relatively new and under-studied metric with the potential to impact a firm's financial success. Keiningham et al. are among the pioneers in this area. This commentary views their article as a vital initial step in understanding PFI's impact. Considering that the service sector accounts for over 70 percent of the GDP in any developed country, service innovation is a broad phenomenon. Given the breadth of the area, we point to the challenge of capturing this phenomenon with a single metric like PFI. Currently, the operational performance assessment system in the power market primarily focuses on power generation and electricity retail companies, lacking a system tailored to the operational characteristics of power generation/selling integrated companies. Therefore, this article proposes an assessment index system for assessing the operational performance of a power generation/selling integrated company, encompassing three dimensions: basic capacity, development potential, and external environment. A dynamic proportional adjustment coefficient is designed, along with a subjective and objective weighting model for assessment indexes based on a combined weighting method. Subsequently, the operational performance of an integrated company is assessed using extension theory. Information governance is crucial for firm performance. Marketing managers have been actively engaged in data analytics and information management for decision-making. Because of the role both marketing and information technology units play in information and data management, information governance needs to be well-defined in a firm. Using structure-strategy-process theory as the foundation, the authors define information governance as consisting of three dimensions: strategy, structure, and process. Based on a survey of 147 marketing managers, we demonstrate that strategy and process result in improved information quality, which enhances firm performance. The study argues on how digital technologies and digital transformation challenge exporting firms across the globe. To respond upon this challenge, present study attempts to solve multi-fold problems. The constructs that influence the digital transformation process are conceptualized. The empirical results of the study are based on 285 responses collected from export and international managers from Indian manufacturing exporting firms. The proposed hypotheses are tested by applying structural equation modelling (SEM). The results reveal that the technology, environment, ethics, and business process organization impact the 'digital transformation adoption', thereby increasing efficiency. The results confirm that the performance of exporting firms is correlated with advanced digital technologies, digital transformation capabilities, and strategic imperatives. Relations between REIT CEO compensation, firm stock performance and risk, after FASB accounting changes and additional SEC compensation disclosure requirements in 2006, are examined. Total compensation becomes more weighted to bonus payments and stock grants and away from options and salary. The majority of REIT CEO compensation comes from bonus payments and stock grants. REIT CEO compensation is found to be positively correlated with lagged firm stock performance, but not lagged firm risk measures. A new metric related to the REIT dividend requirement, dividends paid to CEOs from share ownership, is positively related to CEO total compensation, and the positive relation is driven by a strong association between cash dividends to CEOs and their equity-based compensation. These findings suggest that REIT CEOs trade-off certainty in cash compensation for equity-based wealth and related cash flows. Most important, our results suggest that REIT CEOs are paid for performance and are less likely to earn windfalls that have been associated with the use of options and mis-priced firm risk in non-REIT firms. Purpose: Based on stakeholder and legitimacy theory, this paper aims to investigate the impact of carbon emission disclosure on firm financial performance. Further, the study attempts to explore the potential moderating effect of firm size on this relationship. Design/methodology/approach: The study is based on BSE 100 Indian firms for the period of 2018–2019 to 2020–2021. The association between carbon emission disclosure and firm financial performance, along with the moderating role of firm size, has been explored through regression models. Findings: The present study confirmed the significant and negative association between carbon emission disclosure and firm financial performance. Furthermore, results reveal that firm size positively moderates the relationship between carbon emission disclosure and firm financial performance. Social implications: Carbon emission disclosure helps corporate organizations advance the issues of climate change disclosure both nationally and globally. Originality/value: To the best of the authors' knowledge, the current study is the first of its kind to explore the potential moderating effect of firm size on the relationship between carbon emission disclosure and firm financial performance. Purpose: This study aims to investigate the relationship between corporate environmental responsibility (CER) and risk-taking in Chinese A-share listed companies from 2011 to 2020. It seeks to understand the influence of CER on risk-taking behavior and explore potential moderating factors. Design/methodology/approach: A quantitative approach is used, using data from Chinese A-share listed companies over the specified period. Regression analysis is used to examine the relationship between CER and risk-taking, while considering moderating variables such as performance aspiration, environmental enrichment and contextual factors. Findings: The findings indicate that CER positively influences corporate risk-taking, with significant impacts on information asymmetry and corporate reputation. Moreover, positive performance aspiration strengthens the effect of CER on risk-taking, while negative performance aspiration and environmental enrichment weaken this effect. Cross-sectional analysis shows that the positive association between CER and risk-taking is more prominent for firms located in areas with strict environmental regulation, for nonstate-owned firms, and for firms with higher levels of internal control. Originality/value: This research contributes to the literature by providing insights into the dynamics between CER and risk-taking in the Chinese market context. It expands existing knowledge by considering the influence of performance aspiration on this relationship, offering practical implications for firms seeking to enhance corporate performance through strategic management of environmental responsibilities. Purpose: One of the most cited literature in SHRM is Schuler and Jackson's (1987) behavioural model. This model proposes that organisational performance is dependent on the extent to which HRM practices can be effectively connected to competitive strategy and desired employee behaviours. Importantly, this model recognises the salient role of employee behaviour in performance outcomes and, moreover that different competitive strategies imply both promulgation and reinforcement of different sets of employee skills and behaviours. Surprisingly, despite its significant influence on SHRM, studies rarely examine this model in its entirety. Motivated by the need to better understand this model's arguments in contemporary settings, our study uses a multi-actor design to explore the connections between competitive strategies (cost reduction and differentiation), employee behaviours, and HRM practices in service environments. Design/methodology/approach: Adopting a multi-level, multi-actor survey design, our exploratory deductive study assesses the utility of strategic HRM's (SHRM) behavioural model. Drawing on data from a sample of service organisations and using univariate analyses, we compare operationalised HRM practices and employee behaviours across different strategy types. Findings: Results lend provisional support for the behavioural model, particularly in the case of a differentiation strategy where notable differences in HRM practices and employee behaviours were observed. Findings suggest growing levels of memetic and competitive isomorphism may be occurring, with this likely attributable to the increased incidence of idea generation and information sharing about best practices occurring amongst practitioners, as well as a growing nuance in operating markets, managerial preferences, employee expectations, stakeholder objectives, and the like. Research limitations/implications: Our study suggests refinements to the behavioural model are needed. Some support for the model's key tenets is found, but these appear context specific. Thus, the merit in developing a priori typologies linking strategy type to HRM practices and employee behaviours where organisations operate in environments which are particularised and tumultuous appears debatable. Practical implications: This study highlights the behavioural model's nuance to modern service organisations and, by doing so, practitioners are provided with a behavioural pathway for achieving competitive advantage through their HRM practices. Findings also suggest that increasingly competitive environments might be encouraging practitioners to engage in isomorphic behaviours. Originality/value: The use of a comparative research design allowed our study to contribute much needed empiricism to the largely conceptually informed stylised typologies depicting the linkages between different competitive strategies, implied employee role behaviours and HRM practices, thereby supporting the need for model refinement. This article investigates how business incubator support affects subsequent firm performance. We build on and extend a recent focus on organisational sponsorship mechanisms, applying the lens to business incubators. We first ask: Is there an overall effect of business incubator sponsorship on subsequent firm performance? Second, we ask: To what extent do the decisions of business incubator managers, in terms of allocating resources to start-up firms, impact the subsequent firm performance? We use a unique dataset consisting of the entire population of business incubators in Sweden and their start-ups from 2005 to 2015. Results indicate that business incubator sponsorship has a positive effect on firm performance, while the effects of various forms of sponsorship vary from large positive to neutral effects. Thus, we confirm earlier research on the positive effects of sponsorship and give input on how business managers can use sponsorship theory to provide more optimal resource allocation over time. It appears that coaching and legitimacy have more positive impact on firm level performance compared to other sponsoring activities. Sponsorship is a complex issue, meriting increased theoretical and managerial understanding of its forms and mechanisms. In this respect, our study of how the sponsorship activities of business incubators affect start-up performance complements and extends previous studies of how the effects of business incubator sponsorship depend on external contingencies. This study addresses the dearth of research on what enables firms' performance in the context of Industry 4.0 (I4.0). We investigate how I4.0 shapes the effects of firm investments over time and whether the effects of people and equipment depend on innovative management approaches. A longitudinal multi-sector study is conducted of 157 export-oriented, manufacturing firms in a European Union member state (Slovenia) over a 14-year period (in total, consisting of 1791 total observations). The findings suggest that firms which invest more in technology complement these costs by making investments in people, which over time leads to a higher firm performance. The I4.0 phase moderates this mediated relationship in that firms more advanced with respect to engaging in I4.0 tend to lower their human resources costs despite investing in technology while still showing a superior firm performance. This indicates the substitution effect of technology vis-à-vis human resources. The moderation of management innovation proved to be weaker, calling for a detailed look at its nuances across the studied levels. Taken together, our paper contributes in advancing the stream of research focused on internal factors and processes specifically related to firm investments and management processes, thereby leading to the outcomes of new technology use and capitalization. The findings highlight the link between I4.0 and technology management, and innovation, and complements the existing research on the link between management innovation and performance by contextualizing it within I4.0's new technology and socio-economic changes. Purpose: This study investigates the impact of entrepreneurial orientation (EO) and knowledge management (KM) on firm performance (PERF), as well as the mediating role of KM in the EO–PERF (EO-PERF relationship). In particular, this study aims to explain the impact of KM on the relationship between the EO dimensions and PERF; dimensions are risk-taking (RT), innovativeness (IN) and proactiveness (PR). Design/methodology/approach: This study uses structural equation modelling and fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) methodologies to explore target relationships. The sample consists of 150 small furniture manufacturers operating in Poland (out of 1,480 in the population). Findings: The study findings show that KM partially mediates the IN–PERF relationship. Furthermore, fsQCA reveals that KM accompanied by IN is a core condition that leads to PERF. Moreover, the absence of KM (accompanied by the absence of RT and IN) leads to the absence of PERF. In addition, the results show that all the variables examined (RT, IN, PR and KM) positively impact PERF. Originality/value: This study explores the role of KM in the context of EO and its impact on PERF in the low-tech industry. The study uses simultaneously two methodologies that represent different approaches in the search for the expected relationships. The findings reveal that KM mediates the EO-PERF relationship. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine how informational faultlines on a board affect the management of knowledge owned by directors and the consequences on organizational performance. In this study, informational faultlines are defined as hypothetical lines that divide a group into relatively homogeneous subgroups based on the alignment of several informational attributes among board members. Design/methodology/approach: The study uses unique hand-collected panel data covering 7,247 board members at 106 publicly traded firms to provide strong support for the hypothesized U-shaped relationship. The authors use a fixed effects approach and a system generalized method of moments approach to test the hypothesis. Findings: The study finds that the relationship between informational faultlines on a board and organizational performance is U shaped, with the least optimal organizational performance experienced when boards have moderate informational faultlines. More specifically, informational faultlines within boards are negatively related to organizational performance across the weak-to-moderate range of informational faultlines and positively related to organizational performance across the moderate-to-strong range. Research limitations/implications: By explaining the mechanisms through which informational faultlines are related to organizational performance, the authors contribute to the literature in a number of ways. By conceptualizing how the management of knowledge plays an important role in the particular setting of corporate boards, the authors add not only to literature on knowledge management but also to the faultline and corporate governance literature. Originality/value: This study offers a rationale for prior mixed findings by providing an alternative theoretical basis to explain the effect of informational faultlines within boards on organizational performance. Purpose: This study aims to examine how knowledge sharing contributes to organizations' ambidexterity, their overall performance and the role of knowledge quality in this relationship. Knowledge sharing is conceptualized based on tacit and explicit dimensions, and ambidexterity is viewed as comprising exploitative and explorative capabilities. Design/methodology/approach: This study uses a cross-sectional survey-based research design and structural equation modeling to test the proposed model of knowledge sharing and knowledge quality in organizational ambidexterity and the related hypotheses. Findings: The results indicate that tacit knowledge sharing has a significant, direct impact on the exploitative and explorative capabilities of the organization and indirectly impacts both dimensions of ambidexterity (i.e. exploitative and explorative) through knowledge quality. In contrast, explicit knowledge sharing does not have a significant impact on knowledge quality and affects only the exploitative extent of ambidexterity. Both exploitative and explorative capabilities significantly impact organizational performance. Understanding chief executive officers (CEOs) is important because of their vast influence on the strategies and performance of organizations. With the growth of family business research, new insights about family firm CEOs have emerged. However, knowledge about family firm CEOs is dispersed across an array of disciplines that take different perspectives. These differences have led to an inconsistent understanding of family firm CEOs, particularly since they can be family or nonfamily members with varying levels of willingness, ability, and capability to select and implement distinctive strategies. To better understand CEOs in family firms, we reviewed 175 articles published between 1984 and 2021 using upper echelons theory to capture the relationships among CEO characteristics, strategic choices, and firm performance. Our integrative review synthesizes findings from entrepreneurship, management, finance, economics, and other disciplines to provide insights and future research directions on CEO characteristics, strategic choices, and firm performance in family firms. Building on insights from the motivation-opportunity-ability (MOA) theory, we develop and test a conceptual framework of perceived antecedents, contingencies, and broader performance outcomes of corporate social responsibility (CSR) engagement within small and medium enterprises (SMEs). By following a micro-level approach and using multisource data including a sample of 219 responses from UK entrepreneurs and objective performance data, we reveal the importance of perceived individual-level characteristics such as the entrepreneur's personal values and competence, as well as the moderating role of perceived firm-level employee supportiveness in strengthening CSR engagement. We further highlight the positive effects of CSR engagement on a broad range of business, social and environmental performance outcomes as revealed by the entrepreneurs in our sample. The circular economy (CE) has recently emerged as an innovative business model for firms to transform corporate social responsibility (CSR) into actions. Existing research tends to examine the CSR advantages of short-term CE practice adoptions, remaining silent on the benefits and drivers of their long-term implementation. This study fills the gaps by investigating the impact of the long-term adoption of eco-design (ECO) and reverse logistic (RL) practices on firm CSR performance and exploring the moderating roles of four sense-giving activities. Using a balanced panel dataset of 132 manufacturing public firms in China and a fixed-effects model, we find that: 1) the frequency of ECO and RL practice adoptions significantly improves firm CSR performance; 2) goal setting for CE performance, CE education and training, and employee feedback on CE practices positively moderate the RL-CSR relationship, while employee feedback on CE practices positively moderates the ECO-CSR relationship. This study examines the effects of managerial actions that promote inter-governmental collaboration on organizational performance at the sub-national level. Employing measures of organizational performance (i.e., fiscal performance and education in Colombia), I find that managerial actions that promote collaboration between organizations at the territorial level predict higher levels of organizational performance. Actions oriented toward collaboration enable bureaucrats to accomplish organizational goals by creating trust, increasing information exchange, and producing external collaborative structures. The article provides insights into the discussion about the role of managers in organizational dynamics in the public sector by showing new insights about how managers' intentional efforts can improve public organizations' outcomes.
