Introduction ADHD is most common behavioral disorder that affects children. The family has a very important role in the management of these children. The aim is parenting style and parental mental health status in children with attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder Methods This study is a descriptive study and study is ADHD children referred to psychiatric clinics in 5th Azar and Taleghanis hospital. The case group (64 children with ADHD) are based on random sampling. The control group selected of 64 school children in Gorgan based on the multi-stage cluster sampling. The description provided to parents of children then demographic questionnaire, DSM-IV, Bamrynd and GHQ will be provided. After data collection we analyzed Descriptive statistics and Chi-square Results 47 male and17 females werein each group, subscales of physical symptoms, maternal anxiety and depression one the base of GHQ questionnaires was a significant relationship between on ADHD and control groups. This means that maternal ADHD children are more anxious and depressed and have poorer health than the others. GHQ score of the two groups was also significant in the sense that the mother's mental health is impaired ADHD. Authoritative parenting style out of the case and control groups showed no statistically significant difference Conclusion The results of this study appear to be the outcomes of the four factors of ADHD, maternal education, GHQ mother and maternal age on the sheer style of ADHD is more effective than the GHQ. Thus, the second factor that is important for the mental health of families: 1 – treatment ADHD 2. ADHD- level of education

Satisfactory social support is crucial for having physical and psychological well being.AimThe purpose of the present study was to find empirical support for the connections between perceived social support and loneliness with life satisfaction.Material & methods226 students of Golestan University of Medical Sciences participated in the study. They were assessed using demographic questions, Multidimensional scale of Perceived Social Support, Life Satisfaction Scale, and Loneliness Scale. Using SPSS (16) and Pearson correlation test, linear regression the data were analyzed.Findings122 male and 104 female students filled the questionnaires. 91 percents of the students were single and also 95 percents were residents of university dormitories. There was a significant relationship between life satisfaction with loneliness in the subjects (p< 0.05). The higher social support from the family and friends was also correlated with more life satisfaction and less loneliness (p< 0.05). Linear regression showed a significant correlation among social support, life satisfaction with loneliness.ConclusionFindings suggest, appropriate social support can reduce loneliness and increase life satisfaction. It is also one of the well being predictors. Therefore the universities should provide strategies to facilitate social support from family and the significant others. The empowerment of the students using teaching social communication skills may be helpful as well. The results were discussed within the context of findings from the studies conducted in eastern and western cultures.

Introduction The aim of this study was to compare three systems of revised reinforcement sensitivity theory, (behavioral activation system (r-BAS), revised behavioral inhibition system (r-BIS) and revised fight/ flight/ freezing system (r-FFFS), between patients, dependent to methamphetamine and normal people. Material and Methods This research was causal-comparative study that done in first sex month of 2012. The population of the study was the male dependent on methamphetamine that ruling out Psychotic disorders and prominent axis II of Mashhad city. 25 persons were selected by convenient sampling method. Also 25 normal people from patients' relatives were selected and matched in variables of age, gender and education participated in this study. Samples evaluated by Structured Clinical Interview (SCID) for DSM-IV, demographic questionnaire information's and Jackson-5 questionnaire (2009). Data were analyzed by Chi square, K-S and independent t-test. Results Methamphetamine dependent group had higher sensitivity in r-BAS, r-BIS, Fight and Freezing systems compare to normal people (p 0.05). Conclusion Personality patterns of patients dependent on methamphetamine were different from normal people. This people have high sensitivity to punishment cues such as being compared in social conditions and tendency to reinforcement and reward, because of their higher sensitivity in behavioral inhibition and activation system. These results are in accordance with the fundamental hypothesis of revised theory (r-RST).
