International audience; Directive 2002/49/EC on the assessment and management of environmental noise requires Member States to establish Strategic Noise Maps (SNM) for transport (road, rail and air) and industrial noise. Since January 1 2019, SNM must use a unified calculation method: CNOSSOS-EU. This method was used for the computation of SNM of road noise in the Grenoble agglomeration produced in 2019. This case study presents an assessment of the impact of the changeover by comparing the results obtained with the new method and those obtained with the old method (NMPB2008) for the same territory, as well as the methodology used to make the input data used for both methods compatible and comparable (traffic type, vehicles, surface). The results of the SNM for the agglomerations of Lyon and Grenoble (3 deadline) were also used for the assessment of the health impact of noise. This impact is presented in accordance with WHO recommendations, in terms of Disability-Adjusted Life Year (DALY), in anticipation of future requirements in Annex 3 of the Directive.

Anwendungen, welche speziell die Thematik von WLAN und NFC in den Vordergrund nimmt. Die größte Schwierigkeit bei der Implementierung solcher Hardwaretechnologien ist der Bedarf einer stabilen Kommunikation mit einer verlässlichen Verarbeitung an Daten. Dabei kommen bei kabellosen Technologien verschiedene Standards zum Einsatz. Das Problem hierbei ist die Kompatibilität zwischen Geräten, welche unterschiedlichen Standards folgen. Weiters führen divergierende Anforderungen an die Hardware zu einer großen Anzahl an verschiedenen Lösungsansätzen, wobei häufig einheitlichen Kernmodule eingesetzt, jedoch in den erweiterten Funktionsgruppen wie Peripherie, unterschieden werden. Um solche Problematiken zu diskutieren, wurden Datenblätter von Herstellern und von „Entwickler - Communities“ zu Verfügung gestellter Dokumente zum Erstellen dieser Arbeit verwendet. Anhand einer konkreten Problemstellung sollen Lösungen für die Thematik von Standardisierung und großer Unterschiede bei der Anforderungssetzung an die Hardware dargelegt werden. Hierzu wurde der ESP8266 Chip und der MFRC522 Chip aufgrund günstiger Stückpreise und ausführlicher Dokumentation ausgewählt. Anhand dieser Bauteile werden Standards und Anforderungen an Hardware im kabellosen Kommunikationsbereich im Fokus auf WLAN und NFC analysiert und hinterfragt. Ein tiefer Einblick in diese Bausteine soll Stärken und Schwächen der aktuellen Standardisierung aufzeigen. Das Resultat dieser Arbeit zeigt, dass WLAN und NFC robuste kabellose Informationstechnologien sind, welche, sofern der Standard übereinstimmt, verlässlich in verschiedensten Bereich einzusetzen sind. This thesis deals with the analysis of hardware aspects of wireless applications, which especially focuses on the topic of WLAN and NFC. The greatest difficulty in implementing such hardware technologies is the need for stable communication with reliable data processing. Different standards are used for wireless technologies. The problem here is the compatibility between devices that follow different standards. Furthermore, diverging hardware requirements lead to a large number of different approaches, often using uniform core modules, but differentiating between extended functional groups such as peripherals. In order to discuss such problems, data sheets of manufacturers and documents provided by "developer communities" were used to create this thesis. Based on a concrete problem definition, solutions for the topic of standardization and large differences in the setting of requirements for the hardware are to be presented. The ESP8266 chip and the MFRC522 chip were selected for this purpose because of their low unit prices and detailed documentation. On the basis of these components, standards and requirements for hardware in the field of wireless communication with a focus on WLAN and NFC will be analyzed and questioned. A deep insight into these components is intended to show strengths and weaknesses of the current standardization. The result of this work shows that WLAN and NFC are robust wireless information technologies which, provided the standard is consistent, can be reliably used in a wide range of applications.

„Laser Tag“ ist ein Spielsystem bei dem zwei Spielergruppen gegeneinander antreten und einzelne SpielerInnen mittels „Laserpistolen“, welche Lichtsignale senden, andere MitspielerInnen markieren können. Solch eine Markierung führt je nach Spielkonzept und Modi zu bestimmten Konsequenzen im Spiel für den getroffenen Teilnehmer. Für die Realisierung eines solchen Systems ist eine Hardware und Software erforderlich, die in Echtzeit Informationen verarbeiten kann. Da es bei dem Spiel „Laser Tag“ keine einheitlichen Standards gibt, kann das Spielen sehr kostspielig werden, da es nur in angemieteten vordefinierten Hallen möglich ist. Die vorliegende Bachelorarbeit untersucht, ob und wie die Realisierung einer kosteneffizienten, mobilen und um weitere Funktionen erweiterbaren Spielalternative von „Laser Tag“ möglich ist. Um ein günstiges, jedoch qualitativ hochwertiges System entwickeln zu können, wurden die Eckdaten von „Laser Tag“ bestehenden Konzepten herangezogen. Durch die Evaluierung der Funktionen und Komponenten konnte ermittelt werden, dass durch den Einsatz effizienter Komponenten im Abschuss- oder Trefferregistrierungssystem, das Verwenden von handelsüblicher Hardwarekommunikation wie Bussysteme, oder durch Implementierung von bekannten Technologien wie WLAN, sich das System um ein vielfaches vereinfachen lässt und kostengünstiger wird. Die erste, unter Anwendung des weiter oben erwähnten entwickelte Version des „Modular Laser Tag Systems“ wird eingehend beschrieben und in weiterer Folge die Mängel im Konzeptdesign untersucht und potenzielle Lösungen im Bereich „Future Work“ ermittelt und dokumentiert. "Laser Tag" is a game system in which two groups of players compete against each other and individual players can mark other players by means of "laser guns" which send light signals. Depending on the game concept and modes, such a marking leads to certain consequences in the game for the participant hit. The realization of such a system requires hardware and software that can process information in real-time. As there are no uniform standards for the game "Laser Tag", playing it can be very expensive, as it is only possible in rented pre-defined halls. The present bachelor thesis examines whether and how the realization of a cost-efficient, mobile and extendable game alternative of "Laser Tag" is possible. In order to be able to develop a low-cost but high-quality system, the key data of "Laser Tag" existing concepts were used. The evaluation of the functions and components showed that by using efficient components in the firing or hit registration system, by using standard hardware communication such as bus systems, or by implementing well-known technologies such as WLAN, the system can be simplified many times over and becomes more cost-effective. The first version of the "Modular Laser Tag System", developed using the above-mentioned technology, is described in detail. Subsequently, the shortcomings in the concept design are examined and potential solutions in the area of "Future Work" are identified and documented.
