The Dogon people of Mali, Africa, maintain many traditions despite the impact of Moslem faith in the region. They live on the perimeter of the Sahara Desert and respect a range of taboos. Millet beer is a staple drink and can make the stomach feel fed. The Joliba Trust is a charity based in bristol, England, which provides loans for Dogon people. The inhabitants of one village organized a welcome involving 900 people for one UK visitor in recognition of the work of the Joliba Trust.
