Developing cost‐effective and high‐active electrocatalysts is vital to enhance the electrocatalytic performance for oxygen evolution reaction (OER). However, traditional pyrolysis methods require complicated procedures, exact temperatures, and long reaction times, leading to high costs and low yields of electrocatalysts in potential industrial applications. Herein, a rapid and economic laser‐induced preparation strategy is proposed to synthesize three bimetallic sulfide/oxide composites (MMoOS, M=Fe, Co, and Ni) on a nickel foam (NF) substrate. A focused CO2 laser with high energy is applied to decompose Anderson‐type polyoxometalate (POM)‐based precursors, enabling the creation of abundant heteropore and defective structures in the MMoOS composites that have multi‐components of MS/Mo4O11/MoS2. Remarkably, owing to the structural interactions between the active species, FeMoOS shows superior electrocatalytic performance for OER in an alkaline medium, exhibiting a low overpotential of 240 mV at 50 mA cm−2, a small Tafel slope of 79 mV dec−1, and good durability for 80 h. Physical characterizations after OER imply that partially dissolved Mo‐based species and new‐formed NiO/NiOOH can effectively uncover abundant active sites, fasten charge transfer, and modify defective structures. “The three most valuable things in the future” are the health-related issues proposed by city government of Beijing in 2021: the first one is defined as “I am healthy, so I will not entangle on my family”; the second is “ I can make others healthy, so to realize the value of life”; the third thing is “I make contribution to social health to make my life meaningful”. Some elder people who we are familiar with have done these very well. When help others in need, they feel very satisfied from being their friend indeed. It is desirable for the elderly to keep a healthy state after retirement. Moreover, they help others to live in health. This spirit comes from their appreciation to the current society environment and great future.

Objective To investigate the correlation of olfactory function and cognitive function and motor symptoms in patients with primary Parkinson's disease (PD). Methods Total 152 patients with PD diagnosed and treated were recruited from August 2018 to October 2019 in The First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University. The Chinese Smell Indentification Test (CSIT) was used to evaluate the olfactory recognition function. According to the test results, patients were divided into the normal olfactory group (n=62) and the olfactory disorder group (n=90). The Unified Parkinson's Disease Assessment Scale Ⅲ (UPDRS Ⅲ) was used to evaluate the motor function, the Montreal Cognitive Assessment Scale (MoCA) Beijing edition was used to evaluate the degree of cognitive function, the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAMD) and Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HAMA) were used to assess the patients' depression and anxiety levels. Patients' visual spatial working memory function were tested by the n⁃back test. Pearson correlation analysis and Spearman rank correlation analysis were used to investigate the correlation between olfactory function with cognitive function and motor symptoms in patients with PD. Results CSIT⁃self score (Z=⁃2.081, P=0.037) and CSIT⁃OI score (t=13.966, P=0.000) were lower in patients with anosmia than in those with normal smell. Overall MoCA score (t=3.008, P=0.003), as well as the scores of visuospatial executive function (Z=⁃2.277, P=0.023), naming (Z=⁃2.397, P=0.017), attention (Z=⁃3.203, P=0.001), language (Z=⁃2.229, P=0.026), delayed memory (Z=⁃2.426, P=0.015) were all decreased. The accuracy of 1⁃back test (t=2.341, P=0.027) and 2⁃back test (t=2.406, P=0.024) decreased, and the response time of 0⁃back test (t=⁃2.309, P=0.029) and 2⁃back test (t=⁃2.314, P=0.029) increased. Correlation analysis showed that olfactory function score was positively correlated with total MoCA score (rs=0.298, P=0.000). Conclusions The olfactory function of PD patients is closely related to cognitive function, PD patients with olfactory disorder have poor visual spatial working memory function. Therefore such patients should be paid more attention to cognitive function and visual spatial working memory function.

In modern signal processing,the date with large scale,high dimension and complex structure need to be stored and analyzed in more and more fields.Tensors,as a high-order extension of vectors and matrices,can more intuitively represent the structure of high-dimensional data while maintaining the inherent relationship of the original data.Tensor completion plays an important role in recovering the original tensor from the noisy or missing tensor,which can be considered as an important branch of tensor and has been widely used in collaborative filtering,image restoration,data mining and other fields.This paper focuses on the drawbacks of high time complexity in the current tensor completion technology,and proposes a new method based on coupled random projection.The essential point of the proposed method consists of two parts:coupled tensor decomposition (CPD) and random projection matrix (RPM).Through the RPM,the original high-dimensional tensor is projected into the low-dimensional space to generate alternative tensor,and the tensor completion is realized in the low-dimensional space,and thus the efficiency of our method can be improved.Then,the CPD is used to realize the reconstruction of the original tensor by mapping the completed low-dimensional tensor into the high-dimensional space.Finally,the experiments are used to analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed method.

Background: Patient adherence status to the newly introduced family‐based Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection control and management strategy remains unclear, so are its influencing factors. We aim to investigate family members' adherence and its influencing factors during the family‐based H. pylori infection management practice for related disease prevention. Materials and Methods: Based on our previously family‐based H. pylori survey in 2021, 282 families including 772 individuals were followed up 2 years after the initial survey to compare if the investigation and education might improve family member's adherence. The participant's adherence to H. pylori infection awareness, retest, treatment, publicity, gastroscopy, and hygiene habits were followed up, and their influencing factors were also analyzed. Results: The overall participant's adherence to recommendations on H. pylori awareness, retest, treatment, publicity, gastroscopy, and hygiene habits were 77% (187/243), 67.3% (138/205), 60.1% (211/351), 46.5% (107/230), 45.6% (159/349), and 39.1% (213/545), respectively; and all showed improvements compared with their prior survey stages. The top reasons for rejection to treatment, retest, and gastroscopy were forgetting or unaware of H. pylori infection (30.3%), busy (32.8%), and asymptomatic (67.9%), respectively. Independent risk factor for low adherence to treatment was occupation (e.g., staff: OR 4.49, 95% CI 1.34–15.10). Independent favorable factors for treatment adherence were individuals at the ages of 18–44 years (OR 0.19, 95% CI 0.04–0.89) and had a large family size (e.g., four family members: OR 0.15, 95% CI 0.06–0.41); for retest adherence, it was individuals at the ages of 60–69 years (OR 0.23, 95% CI 0.06–0.97); for gastroscopy adherence, it was individuals at the age of 60–69 years (OR 0.46, 95% CI 0.28–0.75), and with gastrointestinal symptoms (OR 0.57, 95% CI 0.36–0.90). Conclusions: Family‐based H. pylori management increases individual adherence to treatment, retest, and awareness, and there are also improved adherence to gastroscopy, publicity, and personal hygiene recommendations; further efforts are required to enhance the individual adherence rate for related disease prevention. Background: Dengue fever (DF) and West Nile fever (WNF) have become endemic worldwide in the last two decades. Studies suggest that individuals with diabetes mellitus (DM) are at a higher risk of developing severe complications from these diseases. Identifying the factors associated with a severe clinical presentation is crucial, as prompt treatment is essential to prevent complications and fatalities. This article aims to summarize and assess the published evidence regarding the link between DM and the risk of severe clinical manifestations in cases of DF and WNF. Methodology/Principal findings: A systematic search was conducted using the PubMed and Web of Science databases. 27 studies (19 on DF, 8 on WNF) involving 342,873 laboratory-confirmed patients were included in the analysis. The analysis showed that a diagnosis of DM was associated with an increased risk for severe clinical presentations of both DF (OR 3.39; 95% CI: 2.46, 4.68) and WNF (OR 2.89; 95% CI: 1.89, 4.41). DM also significantly increased the risk of death from both diseases (DF: OR 1.95; 95% CI: 1.09, 3.52; WNF: OR 1.74; 95% CI: 1.40, 2.17). Conclusions/Significance: This study provides strong evidence supporting the association between DM and an increased risk of severe clinical manifestations in cases of DF and WNF. Diabetic individuals in DF or WNF endemic areas should be closely monitored when presenting with febrile symptoms due to their higher susceptibility to severe disease. Early detection and appropriate management strategies are crucial in reducing the morbidity and mortality rates associated with DF and WNF in diabetic patients. Tailored care and targeted public health interventions are needed to address this at-risk population. Further research is required to understand the underlying mechanisms and develop effective preventive and therapeutic approaches. Author summary: In our study, we investigated the association between diabetes mellitus (DM) and the risk of severe clinical manifestations in cases of dengue fever (DF) and West Nile fever (WNF). By analyzing 27 studies involving over 342,000 laboratory-confirmed patients, we found compelling evidence supporting a link between DM and an increased risk of severe complications in both DF and WNF. Moreover, DM was found to significantly raise the risk of mortality from these diseases. Our findings emphasize the importance of early detection and appropriate management strategies for diabetic individuals residing in endemic areas. Healthcare providers should be vigilant in monitoring diabetic patients with febrile symptoms, as they are more susceptible to developing severe disease. Tailored care and targeted interventions are crucial to minimize the morbidity and mortality rates associated with DF and WNF in diabetic individuals. These findings have significant implications for public health, highlighting the need for awareness campaigns and preventive measures aimed at diabetic individuals. Further research is needed to understand the underlying mechanisms and develop effective strategies for prevention and treatment. It was reported that the Wnt/β‐catenin pathway is involved in the regulation of aerobic glycolysis and that brain glycolytic dysfunction results in the development of Alzheimer's disease (AD). Icariin (ICA), an active component extracted from Epimedii Folium, has been reported to produce neuroprotective effects in multiple models of AD, but its underlying mechanism remains to be fully described. We aimed to investigate the protective effects of ICA on animal and cell models of AD and confirm whether the Wnt/β‐catenin pathway has functions in the neuroprotective function of ICA. The 3 × Tg‐AD mice were treated with ICA. HT22 cells, the Aβ25‐35 peptide and Dickkopf‐1 (DKK1) agent (a specific inhibitor of the Wnt/β‐catenin pathway) were used to further explore the underlying mechanism of ICA that produces anti‐AD effects. Behavioral examination, western blotting assay, staining analysis, biochemical test, and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) assays were applied. We first demonstrated that ICA significantly improved cognitive function and autonomous behavior, reduced neuronal damage, and reversed the protein levels and activities of glycolytic key enzymes, and expression of protein molecules of the canonical Wnt signaling pathway, in 3 × Tg‐AD mice back to wild‐type levels. Next, we further found that ICA increased cell viability and effectively improved the dysfunctional glycolysis in HT22 cells injured by Aβ25‐35. However, when canonical Wnt signaling was inhibited by DKK1, the above effects of ICA on glycolysis were abolished. In summary, ICA exerts neuroprotective effects in 3 × Tg‐AD animals and AD cellular models by enhancing the function of glycolysis through activation of the Wnt/β‐catenin pathway.
