Abstract

Despite having similar histologic features, patients with high-grade serous ovarian carcinoma (HGSC) often experience highly variable outcomes. The underlying determinants for long-term survival (LTS, ≥10 years) versus short-term survival (STS, 2; false discovery rate < 0.01). In the subsequent validation cohort, transmembrane protein 62 (TMEM62) was found to be related to LTS. CIBERSORT analysis showed that T cells (follicular helper) were found at higher levels in tumors from LTS than STS groups. In vitro data using OVCAR5 and OVCAR8 cells showed decreased proliferation with TMEM62 overexpression and positive correlation with a longevity-regulating pathway (KEGG HSA04213) at the RNA level. In vivo analysis using the OVCAR8-TMEM62-TetON model showed decreased tumor burden in mice with high- vs. low-expressing TMEM62 tumors. Our results demonstrate that restoring TMEM62 may be a novel approach for treatment of HGSC. These findings may have implications for biomarker and intervention strategies to help improve patient outcomes

73. Large quotients of group actions with a contracting element

Abstract

For any proper action of a non-elementary group $G$ on a proper geodesic metric space, we show that if $G$ contains a contracting element, then there exists a sequence of proper quotient groups whose growth rate tends to the growth rate of $G$. Similar statements are obtained for a product of proper actions with contracting elements. The tools involved in this paper include the extension lemma for the construction of large tree, the theory of rotating families developed by F. Dahmani, V. Guirardel and D. Osin, and the construction of a quasi-tree of metric spaces introduced by M. Bestvina, K. Bromberg and K. Fujiwara. 74. The Gehring-Hayman type theorems on complex domains

Abstract

In this paper we establish Gehring-Hayman type theorems for some complex domains. Suppose that $\Omega\subset \mathbb{C}^n$ is a bounded $m$-convex domain with Dini-smooth boundary, or a bounded strongly pseudoconvex domain with $C^2$-smooth boundary. Then we prove that the Euclidean length of Kobayashi geodesic $[x,y]$ in $\Omega$ is less than $c_1|x-y|^{c_2}$. Furthermore, if $\Omega$ endowed with the Kobayashi metric is Gromov hyperbolic, then we can generalize this result to quasi-geodesics with respect to Bergman metric, Carath\'{e}odory metric or K\"{a}hler-Einstein metric. As applications, we prove the bi-H\"{o}lder equivalence between the Euclidean boundary and the Gromov boundary. Moreover, by using this boundary correspondence, we can show some extension results for biholomorphisms, and more general rough quasi-isometries with respect to the Kobayashi metrics between the domains.

75. Localization of the Kobayashi metric and applications

Abstract

In this paper we introduce a new class of domains -- log-type convex domains, which have no boundary regularity assumptions. Then we will localize the Kobayashi metric in log-type convex subdomains. As an application, we prove a local version of continuous extension of rough isometric maps between two bounded domains with log-type convex Dini-smooth boundary points. Moreover we prove that the Teichm\"uller space $\mathcal T_{g,n}$ is not biholomorphic to any bounded pseudoconvex domain in $\mathbb C^{3g-3+n}$ which is locally log-type convex near some boundary point.

Abstract

Let $(\Omega,K_{\Omega})$ be a convex domain in $\mathbb C^d$ with the Kobayashi metric $K_{\Omega}$. In this paper we prove that $m$-convexity is a necessary condition for $(\Omega, K_{\Omega})$ to be CAT(0) if $d=2$. Moreover, when $\Omega \subset \mathbb{C}^d, \: d\geq3$, we obtain a similar result with the further smoothness assumption on its boundary.

Abstract

Solar photovoltaic power generation as a building electrical professional in the energy use of important technical means, through the realisation of photovoltaic conversion, can be a large amount of light energy transmission to the building application, once the electrical energy surplus is too much, but also can be transmitted to the power grid use. Based on this, the article takes the solar photovoltaic power generation system as the basis, comprehensively analyses the operation principle and basic characteristics of solar photovoltaic power generation, summarizes the main influencing factors of grid-connected solar photovoltaic power generation, as well as the impact of grid-connected solar photovoltaic power generation on the grid, and researches on applying automation technology to solar photovoltaic power generation, such as photovoltaic buildings, DC inverters, reactive power compensation, etc., so as to comprehensively improve the grid-connected solar photovoltaic power generation efficiency and provide a constant source of energy for buildings. Solar thermal power generation technology is another kind of solar power generation technology besides photovoltaic power generation. It is a renewable energy generation method that integrates solar thermal conversion power generation, large-scale heat storage and the characteristics of power grid synchronmachine. According to the influence of different intermittent heat load fluctuation characteristics on the design of solar heat collection and heat storage system, the design method of heat collection and heat storage of intermittent solar heating system is established. The operation characteristics of solar energy system in three typical intermittent heating modes are compared and analyzed. It provides the design method and operation optimization strategy for the efficient utilization of solar heating system.

97. Study on the Equivalent Conversion and Utilisation Model of Solar Energy and its Benefits

Abstract

Relying on the energy local area network (LAN), we study the equivalent conversion relationship between different “energy qualities” in the process of solar energy conversion and utilisation and its benefit model. Considering the impact of load demand characteristics and current energy consumption price factors on solar energy utilization, a multi-objective optimization model of solar energy conversion and utilization is constructed with the goals of maximizing solar energy utilization and maximizing the comprehensive benefits of system operation; then, the particle swarm optimization algorithm with quantum behaviour is used to optimize and solve the model, and a comparative analysis is carried out with the traditional single-energy supply mode. The results show that the proposed model can effectively improve the comprehensive utilisation and consumption of solar energy by the energy consumption system, and achieve higher energy sales benefits. Therefore, with the help of energy storage technology, the fluctuation and intermittency of the solar PV system output can be suppressed, and flexible grid connection can be realised, so as to enhance the grid-connected capacity of solar energy; at the same time, higher economic benefits can be obtained with the help of optimisation, coordination and control system operation. Optimised control of solar PV power generation systems under different scenarios ensures the safety and stability of the system’s power output and improves the grid-connected capability of solar PV power generation systems. The validity and feasibility of the proposed model and its operation mode are verified, providing a new idea for the development and utilisation of large-scale solar energy.
