Abstract

To improve the performance of nanofiltration (NF) membranes, a chiral mesogenic compound, a positively charged compound, and a negatively charged compound were grafted to chitosan, respectively. Series of novel composite NF membranes were prepared by over-coating the polysulfone ultrafiltration membrane with the mixture of chitosan and modified chitosan. The chiral mesogenic compound, the positively charged compound, the negatively compound and their chitosan derivatives were characterized by infrared spectrophotometer, differential scanning calorimetry, polarized optical microscope; the structure of the membrane was characterized by scanning electron microscopy. The performance of composite NF membranes was strictly related to the novel compounds grafted to chitosan and its composition. The rejection reached the maximum of 95.7% for Ca[Cl.sub.2] with [P.sub.2-7] composite NF membrane, corresponding flux was 3155 [Lm.sup.-2][h.sup.-1]. The rejection reached the maximum of 93% for [Na.sub.2]S[O.sub.4] with [P.sub.3.5] composite NF membrane, corresponding flux was 3879 [Lm.sup.-2][h.sup.-1]. Comparing with conventional NF membranes, the membranes were used in low pressure with high flux, especially for the separation of high-valence ions from solution. Abstract

For the paper, experimental studies were performed on the damage of the Ge- and Si-based flat window by lasers out-of-band. The experimental results showed that lasers out-of-band can cause film damage and substrate damage to Ge and Si windows. The high-energy laser damage window mechanism mainly manifested as thermal effects. The composite laser damage thresholds for the substrate were an Si window of 21.6 J/cm2 and a Ge window of 3 J/cm2. Compared with continuous laser and long pulse laser experimental results, it was found that the use of long pulse-continuous composite constitution could effectively reduce the damage threshold. Compared to the long-pulse laser, the composite laser could achieve similar damage effects with a smaller energy density.

Abstract

Ge films were prepared at different deposition temperatures and ion source bias voltage using the electron beam evaporation. The infrared refractive index was obtained by spectral inversion. Results show that the refractive index becomes larger as the deposition temperature increases. The maximum refractive index at the wavelength of 4 000 nm is 4.274 with the deposition temperatures of 210 °C. The refractive index of film decreases first and then increases as the bias voltage increases. When the ion source bias voltage is 120 V, the refractive index of the film is the smallest. The difference in extinction coefficient of Ge films prepared by different process parameters is small.

Abstract

Password is the most famous authentication technology in electronic networks due to its convenience for applications. This paper investigates and points out that sharing-based password authentication leads to privacy leakages and guessing attacks. In order to overcome the vulnerabilities, this paper proposes a reformed password authentication method. It shares random credential and localizes password with multiple factors using terminal devices. Furthermore, the security of password authentication is demonstrated with hybrid privacy optimizations. Finally, the analysis illustrates that password not only achieves secure authentication, but also helps to protect privacy.

Abstract

Shor algorithm is a key milestone in the quantum computing history. It has greatly promoted the development of quantum computing since it is supposed to crack the RSA cryptosystems. Simulation technology is an important strategy in quantum computing research, but the software simulation can only simulate the final result rather than the behavior and hardware structure. This paper proposes a hardware simulation strategy for quantum Shor algorithm. The hardware simulation is closer to the execution process of quantum computation than software simulation. It helps to understand how quantum computer works more concrete, and guide the design of quantum computer more specifically. According to the workflow of quantum computer, this paper divides the Shor algorithm into quantum part and classical part. In our experiment, the quantum part is simulated on FPGA device, and the classical part is executed on CPU host. FPGA device communicates with CPU through PCIe channel, and realizes the modules of quantum register, Hadamard gate, quantum Fourier transform (QFT), quantum measure and so on. Our experiment support 17 qubit simulation in Intel A10 FPGA device, and the execution performance is consistent with our theoretical analysis.
