We propose a conjectural formula for correlation functions of the Z-invariant (inhomogeneous) eight-vertex model. We refer to this conjecture as Ansatz. It states that correlation functions are linear combinations of products of three transcendental functions, with theta functions and derivatives as coefficients. The transcendental functions are essentially logarithmic derivatives of the partition function per site. The coefficients are given in terms of a linear functional on the Sklyanin algebra, which interpolates the usual trace on finite dimensional representations. We establish the existence of the functional and discuss the connection to the geometry of the classical limit. We also conjecture that the Ansatz satisfies the reduced qKZ equation. Correlation functions of the XXZ model in the massive and massless regimes are known to satisfy a system of linear equations. The main relations among them are the difference equations obtained from the qKZ equation by specializing the variables (\lambda_1,...,\lambda_{2n}) as (\lambda_1,...,\lambda_n,\lambda_{n}+1,...,\lambda_{1}+1). We call it the reduced qKZ equation. In this article we construct a special family of solutions to this system. They can be written as linear combinations of products of two transcendental functions $\tilde{\omega}, \omega$ with coefficients being rational functions. We show that correlation functions of the XXZ model in the massive regime are given by these formulas with an appropriate choice of $\tilde{\omega}, \omega$. A new recursion formula is presented for the correlation functions of the integrable spin 1/2 XXX chain with inhomogeneity. It relates the correlators involving n consecutive lattice sites to those with n-1 and n-2 sites. In a series of papers by V. Korepin and two of the present authors, it was discovered that the correlators have a certain specific structure as functions of the inhomogeneity parameters. Let $V(\Lambda_i)$ (resp., $V(-\Lambda_j)$) be a fundamental integrable highest (resp., lowest) weight module of $U_q(\hat{sl}_{2})$. The tensor product $V(\Lambda_i)\otimes V(-\Lambda_j)$ is filtered by submodules $F_n=U_q(\hat{sl}_{2})(v_i\otimes \bar{v}_{n-i})$, $n\ge 0, n\equiv i-j\bmod 2$, where $v_i\in V(\Lambda_i)$ is the highest vector and $\bar{v}_{n-i}\in V(-\Lambda_j)$ is an extremal vector. We show that $F_n/F_{n+2}$ is isomorphic to the level 0 extremal weight module $V(n(\Lambda_1-\Lambda_0))$. Using this we give a functional realization of the completion of $V(\Lambda_i)\otimes V(-\Lambda_j)$ by the filtration $(F_n)_{n\geq0}$. The subspace of $V(\Lambda_i)\otimes V(-\Lambda_j)$ of $sl_2$-weight $m$ is mapped to a certain space of sequences $(P_{n,l})_{n\ge 0, n\equiv i-j\bmod 2,n-2l=m}$, whose members $P_{n,l}=P_{n,l}(X_1,...,X_l|z_1,...,z_n)$ are symmetric polynomials in $X_a$ and symmetric Laurent polynomials in $z_k$, with additional constraints. Let ${\bf p}=\{P_{n,l}\}_{n,l\in\Z_{\ge 0}\atop n-2l=m}$ be a sequence of skew-symmetric polynomials in $X_1,...,X_l$ satisfying $\deg_{X_j}P_{n,l}\le n-1$, whose coefficients are symmetric Laurent polynomials in $z_1,...,z_n$. We call ${\bf p}$ an $\infty$-cycle if $P_{n+2,l+1}\bigl|_{X_{l+1}=z^{-1},z_{n-1}=z,z_n=-z} =z^{-n-1}\prod_{a=1}^l(1-X_a^2z^2)\cdot P_{n,l}$ holds for all $n,l$. These objects arise in integral representations for form factors of massive integrable field theory, i.e., the SU(2)-invariant Thirring model and the sine-Gordon model. The variables $\alpha_a=-\log X_a$ are the integration variables and $\beta_j=\log z_j$ are the rapidity variables. To each $\infty$-cycle there corresponds a form factor of the above models. Conjecturally all form-factors are obtained from the $\infty$-cycles. In this paper, we define an action of $U_{\sqrt{-1}}(\widetilde{\mathfrak{sl}}_2)$ on the space of $\infty$-cycles. There are two sectors of $\infty$-cycles depending on whether $n$ is even or odd. Using this action, we show that the character of the space of even (resp. odd) $\infty$-cycles which are polynomials in $z_1,...,z_n$ is equal to the level $(-1)$ irreducible character of $\hat{\mathfrak{sl}}_2$ with lowest weight $-\Lambda_0$ (resp. $-\Lambda_1$). We revisit the issue of counting all local fields of the restricted sine-Gordon model, in the case corresponding to a perturbation of minimal unitary conformal field theory. The problem amounts to the study of a quotient of certain space of polynomials which enter the integral representation for form factors. This space may be viewed as a $q$-analog of the space of conformal coinvariants associated with U_q(sl_{2}^) with q=\sqrt{-1}. We prove that its character is given by the restricted Kostka polynomial multiplied by a simple factor. We obtain the fermionic formulas for the characters of (k, r)-admissible configurations in the case of r=2 and r=3. This combinatorial object appears as a label of a basis of certain subspace $W(\Lambda)$ of level-$k$ integrable highest weight module of $\hat{sl}_{r}$. The dual space of $W(\Lambda)$ is embedded into the space of symmetric polynomials. We introduce a filtration on this space and determine the components of the associated graded space explicitly by using vertex operators. We consider $\hat{sl_2}$ spaces of coinvariants with respect to two kinds of ideals of the enveloping algebra $U(sl_2\otimes\C[t])$. The first one is generated by $sl_2\otimes t^N$, and the second one is generated by $e\otimes P(t), f\otimes R(t)$ where $P(t), R(t)$ are fixed generic polynomials. (We also treat a generalization of the latter.) Using a method developed in our previous paper, we give new fermionic formulas for their Hilbert polynomials in terms of the level-restricted Kostka polynomials and $q$-multinomial symbols. For each pair (k,r) of positive integers with r>1, we consider an ideal I^(k,r)_n of the ring of symmetric polynomials in n variables. The ideal I_n^(k,r) has a basis consisting of Macdonald polynomials P(x_1,...,x_n;q,t) at t^{k+1}q^{r-1}=1, and is a deformed version of the one studied earlier in the context of Jack polynomials. In this paper we give a characterization of I^(k,r)_n in terms of explicit zero conditions on the k-codimensional shifted diagonals of the form x_{2}=tq^{s_1}x_1,...,x_{k+1}=tq^{s_k}x_k. The ideal I^(k,r)_n may be viewed as a deformation of the space of correlation functions of an abelian current of the affine Lie algebra \hat{sl_r}. In this paper, we continue our study of the Hilbert polynomials of coinvariants begun in our previous work math.QA/0205324 (paper I). We describe the sl_n-fusion products for symmetric tensor representations following the method of Feigin and Feigin, and show that their Hilbert polynomials are A_{n-1}-supernomials. We identify the fusion product of arbitrary irreducible sl_n-modules with the fusion product of their resctriction to sl_{n-1}. Then using the equivalence theorem from paper I and the results above for sl_3, we give a fermionic formula for the Hilbert polynomials of a class of affine sl_2-coinvariants in terms of the level-restricted Kostka polynomials. The coinvariants under consideration are a generalization of the coinvariants studied in [FKLMM]. Our formula differs from the fermionic formula established in [FKLMM] and implies the alternating sum formula conjectured in [FL] for this case., Comment: 30 pages

The fusion rule gives the dimensions of spaces of conformal blocks in the WZW theory. We prove a dimension formula similar to the fusion rulefor spaces of coinvariants of affine Lie algebras g^. An equivalence of filtered spaces is established between spaces of coinvariants of two objects: highest weight g^-modules and tensor products of finite-dimensional evaluation representations of g\otimes\C[t]. For each pair of positive integers (k,r) such that k+1,r-1 are coprime, we introduce an ideal $I^{(k,r)}_n$ of the ring of symmetric polynomials. In our earlier paper we made a combinatorial study of (k,l)-admissible partitions. This object appeared already in the work of M. We study a vertex operator algebra (VOA) V related to the M(3,p) Virasoro minimal series. This VOA reduces in the simplest case p=4 to the level two integrable vacuum module of $\hat{sl}_2$. On V there is an action of a commutative current a(z), which is an analog of the current e(z) of $\hat{sl}_2$. Our main concern is the subspace W generated by this action from the highest weight vector of V. Using the Fourier components of a(z), we present a monomial basis of W and a semi-infinite monomial basis of V. We also give a Gordon type formula for their characters., Comment: 28 pages

For the study of reactions in High Energy Physics (HEP) automatic computation systems have been developed and are widely used nowadays. GRACE is one of such systems and it has achieved much success in analyzing experimental data. Since we deal with the cross section whose value can be given by calculating hundreds of Feynman diagrams, we manage the large scale calculation, so that effective symbolic manipulation, the treat of singularity in the numerical integration are required. We investigate the structure of the elliptic algebra U_{q,p}(^sl_2) introduced earlier by one of the authors. Our construction is based on a new set of generating series in the quantum affine algebra U_q(^sl_2), which are elliptic analogs of the Drinfeld currents. They enable us to identify U_{q,p}(^sl_2) with the tensor product of U_q(^sl_2) and a Heisenberg algebra generated by P,Q with [Q,P]=1. In terms of these currents, we construct an L operator satisfying the dynamical RLL relation in the presence of the central element c. The vertex operators of Lukyanov and Pugai arise as `intertwiners' of U_{q,p}(^sl_2) for level one representation, in the sense to be elaborated on in the text. The Yang-Baxter equation admits two classes of elliptic solutions, the vertex type and the face type. On the basis of these solutions, two types of elliptic quantum groups have been introduced (Foda et al., Felder). Fronsdal made a penetrating observation that both of them are quasi-Hopf algebras, obtained by twisting the standard quantum affine algebra U_q(g). In this paper we present an explicit formula for the twistors in the form of an infinite product of the universal R matrix of U_q(g). We also prove the shifted cocycle condition for the twistors, thereby completing Fronsdal's findings. This construction entails that, for generic values of the deformation parameters, representation theory for U_q(g) carries over to the elliptic algebras, including such objects as evaluation modules, highest weight modules and vertex operators. \susy23 is a Monte-Carlo package for generating supersymmetric (SUSY) processes at $e^+e^-$ colliders. Twenty-three types of SUSY processes with 2 or 3 final state particles at tree level are included in version 2.0. {\susy23} addresses event simulation requirements at $e^+e^-$ colliders such as LEP. Matrix elements are generated by GRACE with the helicity amplitude method for processes involving massive fermions. The phase space integration of the matrix element gives the total and differential cross sections, then unweighted events are generated. Sparticle widths and decay branching ratios are calculated. Each final state particle may then decay according to these probabilities. Spin correlations are taken into account in the decays of sparticles. Corrections of initial state radiation (ISR) are implemented in two ways, one is based on the electron structure function formalism and the second uses the parton shower algorithm called QEDPS. We construct a family of intertwining operators (screening operators) between various Fock space modules over the deformed $W_n$ algebra. They are given as integrals involving a product of screening currents and elliptic theta functions. We show that the recently derived ($q$-) discrete form of the Painlev\'e VI equation can be related to the discrete P$_{\rm III}$, in particular if one uses the full freedom in the implementation of the singularity confinement criterion. The level-$1$ integrable highest weight modules of $U_q(\widehat{sl}_2)$ admit a level-$0$ action of the same algebra. This action is defined using the affine Hecke algebra and the basis of the level-$1$ module generated by components of vertex operators. A level-0 action of $U_q(\widehat{sl}_2)$ is defined on the sum of level-1 irreducible highest weight modules. The $\XXZ$ spin chain with a boundary magnetic field $h$ is considered, using the vertex operator approach to diagonalize the Hamiltonian. We find explicit bosonic formulas for the two vacuum vectors with zero particle content. There are three distinct regions when $h\geq0$, in which the structure of the vacuum states is different. Excited states are given by the action of vertex operators on the vacuum states. We derive the boundary $S$-matrix and present an integral formula for the correlation functions. We discuss a construction of highest weight modules for the recently defined elliptic algebra ${\cal A}_{q,p}(\widehat{sl}_2)$, and make several conjectures concerning them. The modules are generated by the action of the components of the operator $L$ on the highest weight vectors. We introduce the vertex operators $\Phi$ and $\Psi^*$ through their commutation relations with the $L$-operator. We present ordering rules for the $L$- and $\Phi$-operators and find an upper bound for the number of linearly independent vectors generated by them, which agrees with the known characters of $\widehat{sl}_2$-modules., Comment: Nonstandard macro package eliminated

An elliptic deformation of $\widehat{sl}_2$ is proposed. Our presentation of the algebra is based on the relation $RLL=LLR^*$, where $R$ and $R^*$ are eight-vertex $R$-matrices with the elliptic moduli chosen differently. In the trigonometric limit, this algebra reduces to a quotient of that proposed by Reshetikhin and Semenov-Tian-Shansky. We study the quantum Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equation of level $0$ associated with the spin $1/2$ representation of $U_q \bigl(\widehat{\frak s \frak l _{2}}\bigr)$. We find an integral formula for solutions in the case of an arbitrary total spin and $|q|<1$. We propose that the correlation functions of the inhomogeneous eight vertex model in the anti-ferroelectric regime satisfy a system of difference equations with respect to the spectral parameters.
