64. A hybrid GaN/Ga2O3 structure anchored on carbon cloth as a high-performance electrode of supercapacitors.

Abstract

A hybrid structure of GaN/Ga2O3 microrods was fabricated on carbon cloth (CC) using a hydrothermal process combined with a high-temperature nitridation followed by an air annealing process. By elevating the post-annealing temperature to 500 °C, both electron density (ND) and specific capacitance (Ca) of the composite electrode were significantly enhanced. Symmetric SCs assembled with GaN/CC-500 showed great potential in both 1 M H2SO4 aqueous solution and a PVA–H2SO4 gel-like electrolyte. The aqueous symmetric GaN/CC-500 SC exhibited an excellent capacitance (1301.20 mF cm−2, 0.5 mA cm−2), high rate capability (75.23% of capacitance retention at 10 mA cm−2), outstanding cycling stability (77.27% of capacitance retention after 20 000 cycles, 10 mA cm−2), and large energy storage capability (27.53 μW h cm−2 of energy density, 0.10 mW cm−2 of power density). All-solid-state symmetric GaN/CC-500 SC also manifested a high capacitance (1183.35 mF cm−2, 0.5 mA cm−2) and good rate capability (53.98% capacitance retention, 10 mA cm−2). The high electrochemical performance of the GaN/CC-500 electrode is attributed to the GaN/Ga2O3 hybrid structure, with α-Ga2O3 providing absorption/redox active sites on the surface, and the heavily oxygen-doped GaN enabling fast electron transport. The microrods with the GaN/Ga2O3 hybrid structure as the active material for solid SCs can deliver an energy density of 0.58 W h kg−1 (3.54 mW h cm−3) with a power density of 154 W kg−1 (0.94 W cm−3). 67. MFI zeolite coating with intrazeolitic aluminum (acidic) gradient supported on SiC foams to improve the methanol-to-propylene (MTP) reaction

Abstract

To hinder the deactivation and improve the propylene selectivity in the methanol-to-propylene (MTP) reaction, MFI coating with the intrazeolitic aluminum (acidic) gradient supported on SiC foam support (G-MFI/SiC foam) was proposed. The solid polycrystalline silicon was used in the synthesis of G-MFI/SiC foam catalyst provided a prolonged release of silica nutrient in the liquid phase and suppressed the precipitation phenomena. The resulting MFI coating showed the aluminum gradient along the surface normal direction of SiC foams with ZSM-5 layer (about 20 μm) near the SiC surface followed by the silicalite-1 layer (about 10 μm). The alumina (acidic) gradient in the MFI coating renders a passive outer layer of silicalite-1 with fairly large amount of weak and medium acid sites prevented the coke formation as well as promoted the selectivity to propylene in the MTP reaction. Compared to the conventional ZSM-5/SiC foam catalyst, the G-MFI/SiC foam catalyst showed excellent performance in the MTP reaction with good catalytic longevity (8 h vs. 76 h for >95% methanol conversion) and low coke deposition (6.7 × 10−3 wt.% h−1vs. 0.26 wt.% h−1), as well as high propylene selectivity (ca. 36% vs. 46%).

98. MoSe2nanosheets confined in N-doped carbon fibers as robust and capacitive anode of high performance Na-ion capacitors

Abstract

Enhancing the rate and cycle performance of anode materials is the key in developing high performance Li/Na/K-ion capacitors. Molybdenum selenide (MoSe2) has been well studied as a potential high rate anode material for Na-ion capacitors based on its lamellar structure and large interlayer space. However, the MoSe2anode usually suffers from inferior cycling stability especially when directly exposing to electrolyte. Herein, a composite anode material with MoSe2nanosheets confined in N-doped carbon fibers is prepared by electrospinning and post-selenization process, which exhibits highly capacitive Na ion storage behavior and stable cycle performance in Na-metal half cells. When it is coupled with a pomelo peel-derived porous carbon cathode that is pre-mixed with sodium oxalate as the pre-sodiation additive, the assembled Na-ion capacitors display outstanding energy-power performance, including ultrahigh energy densities of 116 and 79 Wh kg−1achieved at 197 and 8318 W kg−1, respectively, and a quite good stability in a long term cycle test. These results convincingly demonstrate that the composite with MoSe2nanosheets confined in N-doped carbon fibers can be promising high capacitive and stable anode material for high performance Na-ion capacitors.

Abstract: Pd-membranes in combination with water gas shift (WGS) reactors are considered as a cost and energy efficient technology for CO2 capture in natural gas or coal-fired power stations. An important step towards realization of a full-scale membrane reactor is the demonstration of a scaled-down version. This paper describes the realization of a scaled-down membrane module, which is able to generate a hydrogen flux of approximately 12 Nm3/m2.hr at a hydrogen recovery of 95% and an operating temperature of 400°C under 30bar of NGCC-gas composition as feed stream and 6bar N2 sweep stream. Abstract

A CaO- Al2 O3- SiO2 ( CAS)-based glass interlayer was developed for joining of porous alumina membrane tubes with dense alumina in this work. The results indicated that the interfacial microstructure of the joint was highly sensitive to the quench rate from the joining temperature, which rendered crystallization of CaTiSiO5 at a fast quench rate but CaAl2 Si2 O8 at a slow quench rate due to the interfacial reaction between the CAS glass interlayer and the substrate. An extra crystallization treatment during quench, i.e., dwelling at 800°C-900°C for 2 h, produced a multiphase interlayer consisting of LiAlSi2 O6, CaTiSiO5, and CaAl2 Si2 O8. All joints were evaluated by the thermal shock test. The results showed that the LiAlSi2 O6-containing joint interlayer had much lower thermal shock resistance than those without LiAlSi2 O6.
