All the patients were diagnosed and treated according to the clinical department and disease course. In total, 196 patients were divided into the control group, who received the conventional blood glucose management mode, and 197 patients were divided into the intervention group, who received the hospital glycemic management system with information integration. The average daily glucose levels were recorded before and after breakfast, lunch, and dinner, at bedtime and at night. The average glucose level, glucose compliance rate, hypoglycemia rate, hyperglycemia rate, glucose measurements per day, average number of hospitalization days and patient satisfaction were compared between the groups.Results: In the intervention group, the average glucose level was significantly lower than that in the control group (P< 0.05). The hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia rates in the intervention group were lower than those in the control group (P< 0.05). Abstract

The force needed to buckle a thin elastic surface is proportional to its bending rigidity. This fact suggests using a buckling setup to measure the bending modulus of lipid membranes. Extending the work of Noguchi [Phys. Rev. E 83, 061919 (2011)], we systematically derive highly accurate analytical expressions for the forces along and perpendicular to the buckle, and we elucidate some of their counterintuitive properties using the framework of a surface stress tensor. Furthermore, we estimate the corrections to buckling forces due to thermal fluctuations and find them significant only for stresses along the ridges. We then apply this buckling protocol to four different lipid membrane models, which widely differ in their level of resolution and the treatment of solvent, and show that in all cases buckling is a reliable and accurate means for measuring their rigidity. Finally, we show that monitoring both stresses and energies during a simulation offers additional insights into the thermodynamics of curvature elasticity and permits one to predict the bending rigidity for a range of temperatures around the actual simulation temperature. 76. The effect of Co2+on positive deposits with the assistance of tartaric acid additive in soluble lead flow batteries

Abstract

The positive deposit layer is passivated to seriously affect the service life of soluble lead flow batteries. Based on the oxidation reaction of high valence Cobalt ions in the electrocatalytic OER process, Pb2+can be oxidized to form Pb4+that reduces the formation of the passivation layer. The hydroxyl radical adsorbed by Co3/4+is disaffiliated from the active site. It is conducive to the formation of lead dioxide. In this work, a dense and flat sedimentary layer is obtained on the carbon fiber by adding 5 mmol·L−1of Co2+. The tartaric acid with a delocalized structure is used to improve the conductivity and reduce the impedance of the sediment layer. As a result, the average coulomb efficiency of the flow cell reaches 97.8 %, and its average energy efficiency is 80.9 % in 100 cycles. It would provide a theoretical basis for improving the cycle life of soluble lead flow batteries.

•Two novel heterometallic macrocycles Ln8Zn4L6based on functional ligand were designed and synthesized.•Ln8Zn4L6display high catalytic activities and selectivity in coupling reaction of CO2with wide substrate scopes.•Ln8Zn4L6showed good tolerance to oxygen and water. Ln8Zn4L6has good recyclability.•The catalyst showed efficient catalytic performance of the coupling reaction in the flue gas.

Abstract

Dans le parler de Pékin , les adjectifs ne constituent pas un ensemble homogène. Ils peuvent être subdivisés selon des critères morphologiques et syntaxiques. Les adjectifs peuvent être redoublés. Le schéma de redoublement est AA ou AAr pour les adjectifs dissyllabiques. Cependant, tous les adjectifs ne sont pas susceptibles de redoublement. Lesquels le sont et lesquels ne le sont pas ? Certains adjectifs peuvent avoir des suffixes modaux (au sens de "modulation"). Quels suffixes de ce type y a t-il dans le dialecte de Pékin ? Quels sont les adjectifs avec lesquels ils sont compatibles ? D'autre part, il est admis que les adjectifs peuvent être employés aussi bien en fonction attributive qu'en fonction prédicative, alors qu'en réalité tous les adjectifs n'ont pas cette double aptitude : certains ne s'emploient qu'en fonction prédicative et d'autres seulement en fonction attributive. Enfin, certains adjectifs peuvent être employés adverbialement, d'autres pas. 93. Interplay of Food-Derived Bioactive Peptides with Gut Microbiota: Implications for Health and Disease Management.

Abstract

Bioactive peptides (BPs) are protein fragments with beneficial effects on metabolism, physiology, and diseases. This review focuses on proteolytic BPs, which are produced by the action of gut microbiota on proteins in food and have demonstrated to influence the composition of gut microbes. And gut microbiota are candidate targets of BPs to alleviate oxidative stress, enhance immunity, and control diseases, including diabetes, hypertension, obesity, cancer, and immune and neurodegenerative diseases. Despite promising results, further research is needed to understand the mechanisms underlying the interactions between BPs and gut microbes, and to identify and screen more BPs for industrial applications. Overall, BPs offer potential as therapeutic agents for various diseases through their interactions with gut microbes, highlighting the importance of continued research in this area., (© 2024 Wiley‐VCH GmbH.)

94. Modulating gastrointestinal microbiota to alleviate diarrhea in calves.

Abstract

The calf stage is a critical period for the development of heifers. Newborn calves have low gastrointestinal barrier function and immunity before weaning, making them highly susceptible to infection by various intestinal pathogens. Diarrhea in calves poses a significant threat to the health of young ruminants and may cause serious economic losses to livestock farms. Antibiotics are commonly used to treat diarrhea and promote calf growth, leading to bacterial resistance and increasing antibiotic residues in meat. Therefore, finding new technologies to improve the diarrhea of newborn calves is a challenge for livestock production and public health. The operation of the gut microbiota in the early stages after birth is crucial for optimizing immune function and body growth. Microbiota colonization of newborn animals is crucial for healthy development. Early intervention of the calf gastrointestinal microbiota, such as oral probiotics, fecal microbiota transplantation and rumen microbiota transplantation can effectively relieve calf diarrhea. This review focuses on the role and mechanisms of oral probiotics such as Lactobacillus , Bifidobacterium and Faecalibacterium in relieving calf diarrhea.
