Abstract

The personalized recommender system is proposed to solve the problem of information overload and widely applied in many domains. The job recommender systems for job recruiting domain have emerged and enjoyed explosive growth in the last decades. User profiles and recommendation technologies in the job recommender system have gained attention and investigated in academia and implemented for some application cases in industries. In this paper, we introduce some basic concepts of user profile and some common recommendation technologies based on the existing research. Finally, we survey some typical job recommender systems which have been achieved and have a general comprehension of job recommender systems.

Abstract

For a long time, science visualization, also called graphic visualization has been widely used in the medical field. However, another kind of visualization, called information visualization or data visualization is playing a more and more important role in this field in recent years. This paper is to provide a solution to apply information visualization in telemedicine. Due to the unique data complexity in telemedicine, directly applying existing visualization techniques into the current practice of telemedicine is ineffective and inefficient, if not impossible. In this paper, we plan to introduce an integrated effective and efficient framework on information visualization for telemedicine applications. This solution will provide the most intuitive way for the doctors to learn the patients' condition and for the Centers of Disease Control or the government to learn a region's macro-distribution of diseases. At the same time, it will combine a patient's condition with the macro-distribution of diseases in the region, which he/she stays in, to show the influence of the environment on his/her condition. On a broader scale, this solution will have significant scientific and engineering impact and have potential applications in many other application fields.

Abstract

Online shopping mall is emerging as a main marketing channel. The web-based decision support system (DSS) in Web 2.0 is constructed to facilitate customers to share profiles and comments. Recommendation system is designed to cluster the customers and products respectively, and produce some association rules between customers and products. These have enabled the system to trigger consumer buying behavior. Our study proposes a conceptual DSS framework for online shopping mall, involves the search engine as an external layer while the recommendation system as an internal layer. Based on this framework, a solution entitled CommercePro adopts SNS characteristics and logistics regression techniques is developed. This paper illustrates its implementation and experimental result.

Abstract

The world-wide deployment of GIS in urban underground pipeline network (UPN) has led to a rapid growth in the amount of information. To improve the management and gather useful knowledge from the UPN's database more effectively, we integrate the UPN GIS system with data mining technology. In this paper, we study the spatial characteristics of UPN, analyze the basis of data warehouse-based data mining and propose a practical data mining model for UPN. The model performs data integration and data mining and acquires useful knowledge effectively, making the GIS system intelligent and capable of assisting decision-making.

Abstract

The large-scale sensor network is developing rapidly, thereby more and more efficient methods and algorithms for data management in sensor network are proposed. Traditional database technologies have been moved to this new area. The sensor network community also has developed various technologies for the specific network. This paper proposed a new research issue and method which provides a virtual table for each measurement attribute of sensor nodes. All these virtual tables compose of a virtual database.We develop three steps to produce more accurate data while cost less energy consumption. We can predict the value and estimate these data using EKF. Finally, the record will be revised according to the new reading and the cross attribute model.

65. Pb isotopic dating of some Precambrian rocks from North China—An ensuing discussion on Precambrian Geochronological Scale of China

Abstract

Pb isotopic ages of some Precambrian rocks from North China were determined. New data from the Chuanlinggou Formation of the Great Wall Group in the Yanshan region, together with published data, show that their whole-rock Pb-Pb isochron age is 1,922±92 (δ) m.y. Thus, 2,000±100 m.y. as the lowest age of the Sinian Geochronological Scale of China is important. In view of the fact that the whole-rock Pb-Pb isochron age from the Liaohe Group in Liaoning Province is estimated to be 1,977±49 (δ) m.y., which is in agreement with the possible maximum deposition age calculated from Rb−Sr data, we prefer to consider the Liaohe Group to be Sinian rather than pre-Sinian in age. Zircon, apatite and other minerals from the Tiejiashan granitic gneiss at Anshan, Liaoning Province, lie on two U-Pb discordant lines with ca. 3,300 and 2,800 m.y. respectively. Zircon, on the discordia with 3,300 m.y., is non-magnetic and free from dark inclusions. Apatite with common Pb isotopic composition, lying on the line of older age, is close to the concordia, indicating that it has not undergone any geological thermal events since it was formed. Zircon and apatite with inclusions and magnetism lie on the discordia of younger age. A U-Pb age of ca. 3,300 m.y. for the Tiejiashan granitic gneiss seems to be possible. However, it is necessary to examine the ages of these rocks with Rb−Sr and other methods in the future. A precursory Precambrian Geochronological Scale of China is propsed based on the Sinian Geochronological Scale of China published in 1977[1] as well as on new data from this study.

Jinshajiangite, (Na, K)5(Ba, Ca)4(Fe2+, Mn)15(Ti, Fe3+, Nb)8(SiO4)15 (F, O, OH)10, is a new mineral which occurs as thin tabular crystals in an arfedsonite-rich albite dyke near the Jinshajiang River winding through Sichuan Province, China. Jinshajiangite is monoclinic. Possible space groupC2/m, Cm orC2. Unit cell:a=10.732,b=13.847,c=20.817 A,β=95°3′,z=2. The strongest lines in the X-ray diffraction pattern [d in (hkl)] are: 10.2 (7) (002), 3.44 (10) (\(\bar 311\), 310,\(\bar 205\), 006), 3.15 (8) (205), 2.630 (8) (136, 243), 2.570 (8) (\(\bar 430\)), 2.202 (4) (405), 1.755 (4) (\(\bar 536\)), and 1.715 (5b) (3. 1. 10). The new mineral is black red brownish red or golden red in color. Lustervitreous. Streak light yellow. Cleavges {010} and {100} perfect. H. (Vicker) 430 kg/mm2. Specific gravity 3.61 (meas.).
