As a new power in participating into urban community governance, social ornanization has its own advantages and characteristics such as eliminating negative factors in social development, meeting community residents’ various needs and improving people’s sense of happiness. The following passage sets Jinxing social community as a typical case, a National Top-ten Minority Unity and Progress Demonstration Community. Questionnaire survey, case studies and interviews are used to support the passage. The research sums up experiences and traits such as leadership and participation from members of the CPC, community autonomy, brands of community cultures and so on, explores plights and analyzes reasons in development. In the end it gives suggestions from perspective of government, social community and social organization for general mode for social organization participating in urban community governance.

This article re-estimates equations that have shown elite basketball players do better as leaders when they turn into coaches. Using comprehensive data from the NBA during the last three decades, we show that player-turned-coaches do not win statistically more matches in regular seasons while they do better in playoffs. The relatively better performance is driven by former guard players who lead to more defensive rebounds, free throws made, and points in the last moment of close matches during playoffs. In further analyses of direct channels, we show that guard-turned-coaches as a good example of expert leaders perform relatively better in strategic decision-making. For indirect channel analysis, we also provide statistical evidence that guard-turned-coaches are more creditable to both the insiders and outsiders of organizations. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

BackgroundThe preoperative C-reactive protein/Albumin (CRP/Alb) ratio has been shown to be valuable in predicting the prognosis of patients with certain cancers. The aim of our study is to explore its prognostic value in patients with renal cell carcinoma (RCC).MethodsA retrospective study was performed in 570 RCC patients underwent radical or partial nephrectomy including 541 patients who received full resection of localized (T1-3 N0/+ M0) RCC. The optimal cutoff value of CRP/Alb was determined by the receive operating characteristic (ROC) analysis. The impact of the CRP/Alb and other clinicopathological characteristics on overall survival (OS) and disease-free survival (DFS) was evaluated using the univariate and multivariate Cox regression analysis.ResultsThe optimal cutoff of CRP/Alb ratio was set at 0.08 according to the ROC analysis. Multivariate analysis indicated that CRP/Alb ratio was independently associated with OS of RCC patients underwent radical or partial nephrectomy (hazard ratio [HR]: 1.94; 95% confidence interval [95% CI]: 1.12-3.36; P = 0.018), and DFS of localized RCC patients underwent full resection (HR: 2.14; 95% CI: 1.22-3.75; P = 0.008).ConclusionElevated CRP/Alb ratio was an independent prognostic indicator for poor OS in patients underwent radical or partial nephrectomy and DFS of localized RCC patients underwent full resection. Overall, CRP/Alb may help to identify patients with high relapse risk.

Background: Malnutrition and systemic inflammatory response are frequently associated with prognosis in patients with several types of cancer, including renal cell carcinoma (RCC). The study is aimed to investigate the ability of preoperative serum albumin to globulin ratio (AGR) to predict the long-term mortality of RCC patients. Methods: The study is a retrospective study of an unselected cohort of 895 RCC patients who underwent a curative radical or partial nephrectomy at the Department of Urology in the Sun Yat-Sen University Cancer Center between January 2000 and December 2012 and had documented preoperative serum total protein and albumin (ALB) levels. The preoperative AGR was calculated as the ratio of ALB to (total protein-ALB) and its association with other clinical indices was assessed using survival analysis. Results: Low preoperative AGR was associated with older population, lower hemoglobin, higher total protein, lower ALB, lower body mass index and advanced stage. The univariate and multivariate Cox analyses demonstrated that preoperative AGR was an independent prognostic indicator of overall survival (OS) (hazard ratio (HR): 0.63, 95% confidence interval (CI): 0.43 to 0.93, P=0.022). In addition, patients with low preoperative AGR at pT1-2, pT3-4, pN0, pN1, pM0 and pM1 stages had significantly shorter OS than patients with high preoperative AGR. Conclusion: Preoperative AGR is a proven objective, reproducible, inexpensive survival predictor of RCC patients following surgical resection and should be considered for routine clinical use.

A class of novel chiral‐bridged biphenyl monophosphine ligands with a benzofuran moiety (He‐phos) has been successfully synthesized and reported. These ligands exhibited good performance in the gold‐catalyzed enantioselective cycloaddition reaction of 2‐(1‐alkynyl)‐2‐en‐1‐ones with nitrones, resulting in the successful preparation of a series of polyaryl‐substituted heterocyclic compounds with high enantioselectivities (up to 99% yield, 98% ee). Microvesicles (MVs) containing proteins, nucleic acid or organelles are shed from the plasma membrane. Although the mechanisms of MV budding are well elucidated, the connection between endosomal trafficking and MV formation remains poorly understood. In this report, RAB22A is revealed to be crucial for EGFR‐containing MVs formation by the RAB GTPase family screening. RAB22A recruits TBC1D2B, a GTPase‐activating protein (GAP) of RAB7A, to inactivate RAB7A, thus preventing EGFR from being transported to late endosomes and lysosomes. RAB22A also engages SH3BP5L, a guanine‐nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) of RAB11A, to activate RAB11A on early endosomes. Consequently, EGFR is recycled to the cell surface and packaged into MVs. Furthermore, EGFR can phosphorylate RAB22A at Tyr136, which in turn promotes EGFR‐containing MVs formation. Our findings illustrate that RAB22A acts as a sorter on early endosomes to sort EGFR to recycling endosomes for MV shedding by both activating RAB11A and inactivating RAB7A. Summary: This report reveals that RAB22A acts as a sorter: to sort EGFR from early endosomes to recycling endosomes. RAB22A promotes EGFR‐containing MVs formation via recruiting TBC1D2B to inactivate RAB7A and engaging SH3BP5L to activate RAB11A. The climate of the Tibetan Plateau (TP) has experienced substantial changes in recent decades as a result of the location's susceptibility to global climate change. The changes observed across the TP are closely associated with regional land–atmosphere interactions. Current models and satellites struggle to accurately depict the interactions; therefore, critical field observations on land–atmosphere interactions outlined here provide necessary independent validation data and fine-scale process insights for constraining reanalysis products, remote sensing retrievals, and land surface model parameterizations. Scientific data sharing is crucial for the TP since in situ observations are rarely available under these harsh conditions. However, field observations are currently dispersed among individuals or groups and have not yet been integrated for comprehensive analysis. This has prevented a better understanding of the interactions, the unprecedented changes they generate, and the substantial ecological and environmental consequences they bring about. In this study, we collaborated with different agencies and organizations to present a comprehensive dataset for hourly measurements of surface energy balance components, soil hydrothermal properties, and near-surface micrometeorological conditions spanning up to 17 years (2005–2021). This dataset, derived from 12 field stations covering a variety of typical TP landscapes, provides the most extensive in situ observation data available for studying land–atmosphere interactions on the TP to date in terms of both spatial coverage and duration. Three categories of observations are provided in this dataset: meteorological gradient data (met), soil hydrothermal data (soil), and turbulent flux data (flux). To assure data quality, a set of rigorous data-processing and quality control procedures are implemented for all observation elements (e.g., wind speed and direction at different height) in this dataset. The operational workflow and procedures are individually tailored to the varied types of elements at each station, including automated error screening, manual inspection, diagnostic checking, adjustments, and quality flagging. The hourly raw data series; the quality-assured data; and supplementary information, including data integrity and the percentage of correct data on a monthly scale, are provided via the National Tibetan Plateau Data Center (10.11888/Atmos.tpdc.300977, Ma et al., 2023a). With the greatest number of stations covered, the fullest collection of meteorological elements, and the longest duration of observations and recordings to date, this dataset is the most extensive hourly land–atmosphere interaction observation dataset for the TP. It will serve as the benchmark for evaluating and refining land surface models, reanalysis products, and remote sensing retrievals, as well as for characterizing fine-scale land–atmosphere interaction processes of the TP and underlying influence mechanisms. The North Sulawesi subduction zone is characterized by southward subduction of the Celebes Sea slab to a depth of ∼250 km, mainly overlying the Sangihe slab that subducts west from the Molucca Sea and penetrates the mantle transition zone. The palaeo‐subducted Sula slab dips northward and partially underlies both the Sangihe and Celebes Sea slabs. Adjacent subduction zones with horizontal overlapping subducting slabs in the upper mantle have unclear dynamic interactions. An extensive strike‐slip fault forms the western boundary of the active North Sulawesi subduction zone, providing an ideal setting to study mantle flow between overlapping slabs. We use local S‐wave and teleseismic S and SK(K)S waveform splitting analysis to measure seismic anisotropy in the northern Sulawesi region. Our observations reveal typical mantle wedge corner flow within the Sangihe subduction system. In the Gulf of Tomini, the observed trench‐oblique fast‐axis orientations above the Celebes Sea slab are likely a consequence of the interaction between two subducting slabs. The southernmost measurement with an E–W‐trending fast direction in the mantle wedge might be related to the subduction of the Sula slab. Furthermore, fault‐parallel fast‐axis orientations of anisotropy near the southern segment of the Palu‐Koro fault are attributed to large‐scale shearing across this lithospheric‐scale strike‐slip fault system. Overall, our observations suggest that the strain caused by lithospheric and asthenospheric deformation is mainly confined within the microplate, displaying a restricted flow pattern and localized effects due to the size of the plate boundaries, such as the Palu‐Koro fault. Plain Language Summary: North Sulawesi is bordered by the Makassar Strait, Celebes Sea, Molucca Sea, and Gulf of Tomini and hosts the Palu‐Koro fault. The region hosts two active subduction zones: the smaller, southward dipping North Sulawesi subduction zone and the larger westward dipping Sangihe subducting slab. Another fossilized submerged slab –Sula slab lies beneath both the Celebes Sea and Sangihe slabs to the south. Thus, it is an ideal area to investigate how the interaction between neighboring subduction zones can affect the upper‐mantle deformation and whether a strike‐slip fault could contribute to the mantle dynamics. We use shear‐wave splitting analysis to measure seismic anisotropy to reveal the lithospheric deformation and upper mantle flow patterns of this interactive area. Our results show that the Celebes Sea slab controls mantle wedge dynamics in the North Sulawesi subduction zone, and the interaction between the Celebes Sea and Sangihe slabs occurs where two slabs entirely overlap. The strike‐slip fault at the western boundary only appears to have a local influence on the regional strain field in western Sulawesi.
