Abstract

Multiaxial low cycle fatigue tests under non‐proportional stress (NPSS) controlled mode were performed on commercial pure titanium (CP‐Ti). Strain responses of axial and torsional channels under highly applied stress amplitudes show an initial hardening phenomenon. Non‐proportional hardening coefficient of CP‐Ti is independent of the controlled mode. The critical plane of CP‐Ti under NPSS controlled mode is aligned with the maximum principal stress plane proved by optical microscopy observation. Optimized FSM model and KBM‐PM model with mean axial and torsional strain are established. These models are further integrated into equations related to multiaxial stress ratio with high accuracy of life prediction for CP‐Ti under NPSS controlled mode. Abstract

Based on fracture mechanics theory, a finite element method was used to determine the stress intensity factors of the inclined crack on the inner surface of the pipe under axial compression load and external pressure. The effects of different influencing factors on the stress intensity factor along the crack front considering crack closure were systematically explored, which were different to those under internal pressure. The effects of high aspect ratio on KII, the crack inclination asymmetry caused by curvature and the effects of the friction coefficient on the stress intensity factors of the pipe with an inclined inner surface crack under axial compression load and external pressure were explored in this paper. To be fit for defect assessment, the solutions for stress intensity factors KII and KIII were derived, and new correction factors fθ and fμ were proposed in the empirical solutions to accommodate the crack inclination asymmetry and the friction coefficient, respectively. Abstract

Background: Foamy virus, which belong to the Spumaretrovirinae subfamily of Retroviridae, bridge the gap between Orthoretrovirinae and Hepadnaviridae, and display a long co-evolution with their hosts. Like other retroviruses, FVs encode a transactivator, Tas, which governs the levels of viral transcripts initiated through binding to the conserved promoters in 5’ long terminal repeat (LTR) and a unique internal promoter (IP). Unlike the other retrovirus, HIV, foamy viruses induced significant cytopathic effects in vitro, but has no significant disease association at the infection level in vivo. The characterization of regulator Tas in the Paradox of nonpathogenicity and cytopathic effects was still unknown.Results: Foamy virus separated from different hosts could form three groups which paralleled with the worldwide distribution of hosts due to geographical isolation. Although the physicochemical properties of different Tas were mainly in line with each other, the conserved motifs analyses still suggested divergences in protein functions. The proteins identified to interact with Tas of PFV, SFVora and SFVagm displayed that the three kinds of foamy viruses regulated different signal pathways and impacted virus-host immune interaction. Interestingly, predictions of interactional factors based on protein sequence showed USP7, a kind of deubiquitinating enzyme, could binding directly to Tas which led to its ubiquitin-dependent proteasome degradation. And this results also implyed that fomay virus could hijacked cytokine USP7 to stabilize the transcriptional activator Tas by de-ubiquitylation and thereby regulate the viral life cycle.Conclusion: Our experiments help to understand the survival strategy of foamy viruses in their hosts.

Abstract

Objective Exploring the impact of job demand-oriented training on the core competence and quality of nursing in the radiology department. Methods The 26 nurses from the Department of Radiology at the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University were selected as the research subjects, and the training needs were investigated. The training plan was formulated according to the survey results and job characteristics, and the job demand-oriented training was conducted for one year. The core competence, nursing quality, specialist theory and operational skills of the nurses before and after the training were compared. Results After training, the core competence score, preparation completion rate, puncture success rate, post-training nurse specialized theory, and operational skill scores were significantly higher than those before training (all P <0.05). The contrast leakage rate was significantly lower than that before training (P < 0. 05). Conclusion The implementation of job demand-oriented training will help improve the core competence, specialized theory and operational skills of the radiology nurses and improve the quality of care. 95. Efficiency of muscle strength training on motor function in patients with coronary artery disease: a meta-analysis

Abstract

Background: Existing literature has shown that patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) can benefit greatly from the strength training; therefore, the strength training should play a more important role in cardiac rehabilitation. However, the medical community may still have conservation to apply the strength training owing to no comprehensive study so far to compare the effectiveness of the strength training to the other trainings, such as aerobic training. Objective: To evaluate the effect of strength training on motor function in patients with CAD. Methods: Published articles from the earliest date available to July 2015 were identified using electronic searches. Two reviewers selected independently relevant randomized controlled trials (RCTs) investigating exercise program with strength training versus control interventions (exercise without strength training, including aerobic training and no exercise group) for the treatment of CAD patients. We examined effects of exercise with strength training versus control interventions on peak oxygen uptake (VO2peak), duration of exercise test and muscle strength. Two reviewers extracted data independently. Results: Twenty seven trials that represented 1151 participants passed the selection criteria and were evaluated for the effects of strength training in CAD patients. For improving VO2peak [SMD (95%CI) = 0.58 (0.11, 1.06)] and muscle strength [upper limb, SMD (95% CI) =0.44 (0.34, 0.55); lower limb, SMD (95% CI) =0.33 (0.16, 0.50)], exercise program with strength training were significantly more effective than one without it. But there is no significantly difference on duration of exercise test [SMD (95%CI) = 0.17 (-0.04, 0.39)] in strength training group than in control group. Conclusions: We conclude strength training is effective in improving muscle strength and VO2peak, in CAD patients, when compared to patients with control group. Furthermore, our evaluations suggest that strength training does not compromise clinical trial completion or safety.
