Abstract

本研究ではこれまで高周波マイクロ波無線電力伝送に必要な24GHz帯整流回路の開発を行ってきた. しかし, 設計値と実験値のRF-dc変換効率の誤差が大きいという問題があった. そこで, 設計値通りの変換効率を実現するため, 24GHz鰹流回路に用いるマイクロストリップ線路の表面粗さ, 2.4mmコネクタ, ショットキーバリアダイオードのモデル化を行った. 各素子の特性を評価するための治具回路を製作し, Sパラメータを計測した後, 適当な等価回路モデルを用いてフィッティングを行った. これらのモデルを整流回路に適用し, 高精度な回路設計を実現する., We have developed the 24GHz-band rectifier for high-frequency wireless power transmission by microwave. However, the experimental RF-dc conversion efficiency was quite different from the simulated one. Therefore, we modeled a roughness of a microstrip line, a 2.4mm connector and a schottky barrier diode for the 24GHz-band rectifier. We fabricated jig circuits for the connector and the diode, and measured the S-parameter of each circuit. We can estimate the value in equivalent circuits of the connector and the diode by fitting the simulated results to the experimental ones. We aimed to design the 24GHz-band rectifier with high accuracy.

Abstract

Previously, it has been suggested that melanoidin-like products (MLP) from sugarcane molasses may accelerate copper phytoextraction. In this study, we evaluated the facilitatory effect of MLP on phytoextraction in a medium including cadmium or lead, the concentrations of which were adjusted around the regulation values of the Soil Contamination Countermeasures Act in Japan. Three Brassica species were tested based on their fast growth, high biomass productivity, and high heavy metal absorption. Both biomass and lead uptake in the nutrient medium with 1 mM lead nitrate were significantly increased by the addition of MLP, and almost all of the lead was accumulated in the root tissue. Therefore, MLP were able both to detoxify lead ions and to improve their bioavailability in Brassica species. In contrast, only these species with MLP or citric acid survived in the nutrient medium with 1 mM cadmium sulfate. The phytoextraction of cadmium using these species was therefore impractical under the Act. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

A hallmark of acute relapsing fever borreliosis is severe bacteremia. Some Borrelia species, such as B. duttonii and B. crocidurae, associate with erythrocytes and induce aggregation recognized as erythrocyte rosetting. Erythrocyte rosettes contribute to disease severity by increased tissue invasiveness (such as invasion of CNS and encephalitis), hemorrhaging, and reduced blood flow in affected microcapillaries. Here we report that relapsing fever Borrelia binds to neolacto (Galbeta4GlcNAcbeta3Galbeta4Glcbeta1)-carrying glycoconjugates that are present on human erythrocytes. This interaction is of low affinity but is compensated for by the multivalency of neo-lacto-oligosaccharides on the erythrocyte cell surface. Hence, the protein-carbohydrate interaction is dependent on multivalent neolacto-glycans to mediate binding.
