Multi-resonance thermally activated delayed fluorescence (MR-TADF) emitters have broad applications in organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). However, their device performance is often limited by the large conjugated planarity that makes them easily aggregate in the form of π–π stacking, resulting in aggregation-caused quenching (ACQ) and the formation of excimers, which reduce exciton utilization efficiency and color purity. To address these issues, large shielding units can be incorporated to prevent interchromophore interactions. In this study, we introduced 10,10-diphenyl-5,10-dihydro-dibenzo[b,e][1,4]azasiline (DPPASi), which contains a silicon atom, at the para-carbon position of a B-substituted phenyl ring as a steric group to synthesize the emitter BNSi. This modification successfully achieved a narrow-band blue emission at high doping ratios with a maximum external quantum efficiency (EQEmax) of 34.8% in the corresponding OLED device. Even at luminance levels of 1000 cd m−2, an impressive EQE of nearly 20% was maintained. Endocrine therapy has become the fundamental treatment option for hormone receptor-positive (HR+) and receptor tyrosine-protein kinase erbB-2-negative (HER2-) metastatic breast cancer (mBC). While treatments incorporating cyclin-dependent kinase (CDK)4 and 6 inhibitors are more prevalent than ever, comparisons among those regimens are scarce. The aim of the present study was to identify the most effective maintenance treatment for patients with HR+ and HER2- mBC. To this end, databases including PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, Scopus and Google Scholar were searched from inception to August, 2023. The endpoints comprised overall survival (OS) and progression free survival (PFS). For dichotomous variants, hazard ratios (HRs) and odds ratios (ORs) were generated, while standard mean difference (SMD) was used for consecutive variants by Bayesian network meta-analysis to make pairwise comparisons among regimens, to determine the optimal therapy. These processes were conducted using Rstudio 4.2.2 orchestrated with STATA 17.0 MP. A total of 16 randomized controlled trials including 7,174 patients with 11 interventions were analyzed. Compared with aromatase inhibitor (AI), palbociclib plus AI (PalboAI) exhibited a significantly longer PFS up to the 36th month of follow-up [HR=1.7; 95% credible interval, 1.36-2.16], including on the 3rd [OR=2.22; 95% confidence interval (CI), 1.10-4.47], 6th (OR=2.39; 95% CI, 1.21-4.69), 12th (OR=1.94; 95% CI, 1.34-2.79), 18th (OR=2.38; 95% CI, 1.65-3.44), 24th (OR=2.39; 95% CI, 1.67-3.43), 30th (OR=2.10; 95% CI, 1.62-2.74) and 36th (OR=2.66; 95% CI, 1.37-5.18) month of follow-up. Additionally, abemaciclib plus fulvestrant exhibited significant effects compared with AI alone between 12 and 36 months. Ribociclib plus fulvestrant, ribociclib plus AI and dalpiciclib plus AI exerted significant effects compared with AI alone between 12 and 30 months. Considering the effect on OS and PFS together with adverse reactions, safety, medical compliance and route of administration, PalboAI was found to be the optimal treatment for HR+/HER2-mBC. Background Acute Stanford Type A Aortic Dissection (ATAAD) is a critical medical emergency characterized by significant morbidity and mortality. This study aims to identify specific gene expression patterns and RNA modification associated with ATAAD. Methods The GSE153434 dataset was obtained from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database. Differential expression analysis was conducted to identify differential expression genes (DEGs) associated with ATAAD. To validate the involvement of RNA modification in ATAAD, RNA modification-related genes (M6A, M1A, M5C, APA, A-to-I) were acquired from GeneCards, following by Least Absolute Shrinkage and Selection Operator (LASSO) regression analysis. A gene prediction signature consisting of key genes was established, and Real-time PCR was used to validate the gene expression in clinical samples. The patients were then divided into high and low-risk groups, and subsequent enrichment analysis, including Gene Ontology (GO), Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG), Gene Set Enrichment Analysis (GSEA), Gene Set Variation Analysis (GSVA), and assessments of immune infiltration. A co-expression network analysis (WGCNA) was performed to explore gene-phenotype relationships and identify key genes. Results A total of 45 RNA modification genes were acquired. Six gene signatures (YTHDC1, WTAP, CFI, ADARB1, ADARB2, TET3) were developed for ATAAD diagnosis and risk stratification. Enrichment analysis suggested the potential involvement of inflammation and extracellular matrix pathways in the progression of ATAAD. The incorporation of pertinent genes from the GSE147026 dataset into the six-gene signature further validated the model's effectiveness. A significant upregulation in WTAP, ADARB2, and TET3 expression, whereas YTHDC1 exhibited a noteworthy downregulation in the ATAAD group. In the realm of organic light‐emitting diode (OLED), through‐space charge transfer (TSCT) thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) emitters have demonstrated remarkable achievements. Nevertheless, realizing both deep‐blue emission and high efficiency by the TSCT strategy remains a persistent challenge. Here, the novel donor‐π‐donor‐σ‐acceptor (D‐π‐D‐σ‐A) type deep‐blue TSCT emitter, namely D‐tCz‐BO, is formulated to investigate its performance in OLED. D‐tCz‐BO show a narrow deep‐blue emission and efficient TADF character (λPL = 448, FWHM = 54 nm, ΦPL = 82%, and ΔEST = 0.09 eV). More importantly, the OLED based on D‐tCz‐BO as the emitter showed a maximum external quantum efficiency (EQEmax) of 20.5%, with a Commission Internationale de l'Eclairage (CIE) coordinate of (0.14, 0.12). Human pharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (HPSCC) is the most common malignancy in the head and neck region, characterized by high mortality and a propensity for metastasis. Fucoxanthin, a carotenoid isolated from brown algae, exhibits pharmacological properties associated with the suppression of tumor proliferation and metastasis. Nevertheless, its potential to inhibit HPSCC proliferation and metastasis has not been fully elucidated. This study represents the first exploration of the inhibitory effects of fucoxanthin on two human pharyngeal squamous carcinoma cell lines (FaDu and Detroit 562), as well as the mechanisms underlying those effects. The results showed dose-dependent decreases in the proliferation, migration, and invasion of HPSCC cells after fucoxanthin treatment. Further studies indicated that fucoxanthin caused a significant reduction in the expression levels of proteins in the phosphoinositide 3−kinase (PI3K)/protein kinase B (AKT)/mechanistic target of rapamycin (mTOR) pathway, as well as the downstream proteins matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)−2 and MMP−9. Specific activators of PI3K/AKT reversed the effects of fucoxanthin on these proteins, as well as on cell proliferation and metastasis, in FaDu and Detroit 562 cells. Molecular docking assays confirmed that fucoxanthin strongly interacted with PI3K, AKT, mTOR, MMP−2, and MMP−9. The non-neural cholinergic system plays a critical role in regulating immune equilibrium and tissue homeostasis. While the expression of choline acetyltransferase (ChAT), the enzyme catalyzing acetylcholine biosynthesis, has been well documented in lymphocytes, its role in the myeloid compartment is less understood. Here, we identify a significant population of macrophages (Mϕs) expressing ChAT and synthesizing acetylcholine in the resolution phase of acute peritonitis. Using Chat-GFP reporter mice, we observed marked upregulation of ChAT in monocyte-derived small peritoneal Mϕs (SmPMs) in response to Toll-like receptor agonists and bacterial infections. These SmPMs, phenotypically and transcriptionally distinct from tissue-resident large peritoneal macrophages, up-regulated ChAT expression through a MyD88-dependent pathway involving MAPK signaling. Notably, this process was attenuated by the TRIF-dependent TLR signaling pathway, and our tests with a range of neurotransmitters and cytokines failed to induce a similar response. Functionally, Chat deficiency in Mϕs led to significantly decreased peritoneal acetylcholine levels, reduced efferocytosis of apoptotic neutrophils, and a delayed resolution of peritonitis, which were reversible with exogenous ACh supplementation. Intriguingly, despite B lymphocytes being a notable ChAT-expressing population within the peritoneal cavity, Chat deletion in B cells did not significantly alter the resolution process. Collectively, these findings underscore the crucial role of Mϕ-derived acetylcholine in the resolution of inflammation and highlight the importance of the non-neuronal cholinergic system in immune regulation. Requisite to growing stoichiometric perovskite thin films of the solid-solution A'1-xAxBO3 by hybrid molecular beam epitaxy is understanding how the growth conditions interpolate between the end members A'BO3 and ABO3, which can be grown in a self-regulated fashion, but under different conditions. Using the example of La1-xSrxVO3, the two-dimensional growth parameter space that is spanned by the flux of the metal-organic precursor vanadium oxytriisopropoxide and composition, x, was mapped out. The evolution of the adsorption-controlled growth window was obtained using a combination of X-ray diffraction, atomic force microscopy, reflection high-energy electron-diffraction (RHEED), and Rutherford backscattering spectroscopy. It is found that the stoichiometric growth conditions can be mapped out quickly with a single calibration sample using RHEED. Once stoichiometric conditions have been identified, the out-of-plane lattice parameter can be utilized to precisely determine the composition x. This strategy enables the identification of growth conditions that allow the deposition of stoichiometric perovskite oxide films with random A-site cation mixing, which is relevant to a large number of perovskite materials with interesting properties, e.g., high-temperature superconductivity and colossal magnetoresistance, that emerge in solid solution A'1-xAxBO3.

LaVO3 thin films were grown on SrTiO3 (001) by hybrid molecular beam epitaxy. A volatile metalorganic precursor, vanadium oxytriisopropoxide (VTIP), and elemental La were co-supplied in the presence of a molecular oxygen flux. By keeping the La flux fixed and varying the VTIP flux, stoichiometric LaVO3 films were obtained for a range of cation flux ratios, indicating the presence of a self-regulated growth window. Films grown under stoichiometric conditions were found to have the largest lattice parameter, which decreased monotonically with increasing amounts of excess La or V. Energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy and Rutherford backscattering measurements were carried out to confirm film compositions. Stoichiometric growth of complex vanadate thin films independent of cation flux ratios expands upon the previously reported self-regulated growth of perovskite titanates using hybrid molecular beam epitaxy, thus demonstrating the general applicability of this growth approach to other complex oxide materials, where a precise control over film stoichiometry is demanded by the application.

Introduction of the trifluoromethyl (CF3) group into organic compounds has garnered substantial interest because of its significant role in pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals. Here, we report a hydroxylamine‐mediated radical process for C(sp2)−H trifluoromethylation of terminal alkenes. The reaction shows good reactivity, impressive E/Z selectivity (up to >20 : 1), and broad functional group compatibility. Expansion of this approach to perfluoroalkylation and late‐stage trifluoromethylation of bioactive molecules demonstrates its promising application potential. Perovskite nickelates belong to a family of strongly correlated materials, which have drawn broad attention due to their thermally induced metal-to-insulator transition. Recent discoveries show that orbital filling mediated by ion intercalation can trigger a colossal non-volatile conductivity change in nickelates. The coupling and interaction between two types of charge carriers (i.e., ions and electrons) enable nickelate as an exotic mixed conductor for electronic, biological, and energy applications. In this Perspective, we first summarize the fundamentals and recent progresses in the manipulation of ground states of perovskite nickelates by controlling orbital filling via ion intercalation. Then, we present a comprehensive overview of perovskite nickelate as a unique platform for vast cutting-edge research fields, including neuromorphic computing, bio-electronic interfaces, as well as electrocatalysis applications by taking advantage of such electron-filling-controlled modulation phenomena. Finally, we provide an overview of future perspectives and remaining challenges toward the exploitation and commercialization of quantum nickelates for future multidisciplinary research. For bulk SmCo3 system hard-soft magnetic nanocomposites, it remains a challenge to fabricate an anisotropic magnet by forming a strong texture for the nanocrystalline SmCo3 phase. In this paper, we report the fabrication of a bulk anisotropic SmCo3/Fe(Co) nanocomposite magnet with a strong (00 l) texture for the SmCo3 phase and a small grain size of 21 nm for the Fe(Co) phase. Good results were achieved by controlling the nucleation and growth of the nanocrystals from the amorphous matrix using large stress and strain. The synthesized magnet exhibited a high-energy product of 17.0 MGOe, which was 26% larger than the reported highest value of 13.5 MGOe for SmCo3-based nanocomposites and 314% higher than 4.1 MGOe for the corresponding pure SmCo3 magnets. Moreover, these magnets possessed small remanence and coercivity temperature coefficients of α = −0.018%/°C and β = −0.24%/°C, which were much lower than those α = −0.14%/°C and β = −0.31%/°C for pure SmCo3 magnets and α = −0.073%/°C and β = −0.30%/°C for SmCo3/Fe(Co) isotropic nanocomposite. Background: Chrysochroinae Laporte de Castelnau, 1835 is the very colourful subfamily of Buprestidae. There are 127 species and subspecies of the subfamily which have been recorded in China. New information: In this paper, we reported three genera, two subgenera and five species of the subfamily Chrysochroinae Laporte de Castelnau, 1835 (Coleoptera, Buprestidae) which are all newly recorded from China. These reported taxa belong to two tribes and four genera: Chrysochroa (Chroodema) corbetti (Kerremans, 1893), Chrysochroa (Pyranthe) fulgens ephippigera White, 1843, Demochroa (Demoxantha) gratiosa indica Csiki, 1900, Xanthocata bonvouloirii (Deyrolle, 1861) (all the above four being Chrysochroini) and Cardiaspis mouhotii E.
