Traditionally, the leaves of Clematis wightiana have been used in the treatment of rheumatism, indigestion, headaches, varicose veins, bone problems, nasal congestion and sinus. The present study was conducted to evaluate the phytochemical profile, quantification of secondary metabolites and free radical scavenging capacity of C. wightiana leaf. The total phenolic, tannin and flavanoid content of C. wightiana leaves were quantified and were found to be higher in the ethyl acetate extract. Subsequently, the extracts were subjected to appraise their antioxidant capacity by availing various in vitro antioxidant assays namely DPPH radical scavenging assay, ABTS assay, Phosphomolybedenum assay, Ferric Reducing assay, Superoxide Radical Scavenging assay and Reducing power assay. The results of the antioxidant assays revealed that the ethyl acetate extract of C. wightiana leaves possess better free radical scavenging activity than other solvent extracts. Thus, the finding of the study elucidates the perception on phytochemical and bioactivity of C. wightiana which could be used in development of phytotherapeutics to enchance human health. The photocatalytic degradation and mineralization of Reactive Orange 30 on NiO/CuO/TiO2 ternary composites have been studied using solar light irradiation. The NiO/CuO/TiO2 ternary composites were prepared by producing ethanolic dispersions containing varied amounts of NiO and CuO/TiO2 (3wt% to 15wt.%), followed by annealing at 300 °C. SEM, UV- Vis DRS, PL, XRD and FTIR analysis have been used to characterize the unary (parent photocatalysts), binary and ternary composites. Under solar light irradiation, NiO/CuO/TiO2 ternary composites exhibited an excellent photocatalytic activity in degradation of reactive orange 30 in aqueous solution, whereas the NiO/TiO2, CuO/TiO2 and bare photocatalyst such as NiO, CuO, TiO2 showed lower activities. It was deduced that the remarkable visible-light absorption phenomenon and band gap reduction of the NiO/CuO/TiO2 ternary composites taking place. It paves way for the photogenerated electron transfer between CB of the NiO, CuO, TiO2 semiconductors and also holes shifting between VB of above mentioned materials. The NiO/CuO/TiO2 ternary composite shows good photostability and the photocatalyst retains 94% of its initial activity in the seventh cycle, respectively.

Introduction: Termination of pregnancy in 2nd trimester is one of the greatest challenges in modern obstetrics practice and is more risky than during 1st trimester. In our study, we aimed at assessing the effectiveness and safety of intracervical foleys catheter with vaginal misoprostol and comparing it with vaginal misoprostol for mid trimester abortion in patients with previous cesarean. Methods: A hospital based comparative study was conducted on 100 women with period of gestation 13 to 20 weeks for termination of mid trimester pregnancy in women with previous cesarean section Results: The mean induction-abortion interval for group 1 was 17.9 ± 6.7 hours and for group 2 it was 13.4 ± 5.2 hours. The mean total amount of drug required in group 1 was 1560 ± 437.05 µg and for group 2 it was 1256 ± 404.14 µg. Complete abortion was achieved in 76% (38) and 88% (44) of the patient in group 1 and group 2 respectively. No significant difference as regard occurrence of adverse effects between the two groups. Conclusions: Intracervical foley’s catheter with misoprostol is safe and more efficacious than misoprostol alone for second trimester termination of pregnancy in women with previous cesarean section with no significant increase in side effects. &nbsp

In the present work, vibration control of a simply supported plate with line type and cross type piezoelectric (PZT) patches are investigated with and without actuation voltage. The plate is modeled under the assumption of Kirchhoff’s Plate theory. The mass of PZT patches remain constant in all cases. In case of actuation, applied voltage considered are 1, 2 and 3 mV. The external excitation to the plate is in the form of harmonically varying point load of 1 mN. It is noticed that cross type PZT patch is more effective in deflection suppression of plate than that of line type PZT patch at 3 mV of actuation at patch thickness of 0.75 μm. Suppression of central deflection of plate for line type and cross type PZT patches are obtained in different frequency bands of (175–185 Hz) and (870–880 Hz) respectively.

Incidence of various dreadful microbial infections and the development of antibiotic resistance by infection causative microbes are the main reasons for reducing aquaculture productivity. Hence, there is an immense need for the discovery of alternative and efficient treatment for quick recovery of diseased fishes. In the present study, Suaeda maritima leaf extracts (hexane, diethyl ether, ethanol, and water) were screened for in vitro and in vivo antibacterial and antioxidant activities. Out of all the four extracts, ethanolic extract showed highest antibacterial activity against S.aureus (4.9±1.3 mm), B.subtilis (1.6±0.3 mm), K.pneumonia (4.2±1.8 mm), and P.aeruginosa (4.1±1.2 mm). Similarly, antioxidant activity was also higher for ethanolic extract (500 µg/ml) based on DPPH radical scavenging ability (71.6±1.4 %) and reducing potential (149 μg/mL) assays. Further, ethanolic extract was purified consecutively via column chromatography and preparative TLC where an active fraction was selected based on highest antibacterial (10.1±1.4 mm) and antioxidant properties (82.3±2.8 %). Active fraction was loaded onto mass spectroscopy and identified the presence of four active constituents such as 1,2,9,10-tetramethoxy-6-methyl-5,6,6a,7-tetrahydro-4H-dibenzo[de,g]quinolin-3-yl) methanol; 3',7-Dimethoxy-3-hydroxyflavone; Saponin and (19R)9acetyl19hydroxy10,14dimethyl20oxopentacyclo[11.8.0.0.0.0]henicos-17-yl-acetate. Besides, in vivo studies were conducted on Catla catla fingerlings infected with P. aeruginosa under laboratory conditions. The fingerlings were segregated into 5 groups, among which group 4 and 5 were treated with crude and purified extracts. Both the extracts were efficient in treating infected fingerlings and recorded 100% survival rate which is even better than group-3 treated with a synthetic antibiotic (77%). Hence, S. maritima leaf extract can be considered as a possible alternative medicine in aquaculture

To increase accuracy for the prediction of agriculture insurance claim cost based on crop insurance data.Gradient Boosting Machine (LGBM) and linear regression models are tested with total Samples 6022 for n=7 iterations to predict accuracy. LGBM works based on decision tree algorithm and linear based on fitted regression equation. The coefficient of determination values of proposed LGBM regression (92.52%) and linear regression (72.47%) are obtained. There was a statistical significance between LGBM regression and linear regression (p=0.001).Prediction of agriculture insurance claim cost LGBM regression technique produces significantly better performance than the linear regression technique.

This study proposes about the autonomous navigation of a multi-robot for transportation in indoor environments. This transportation is integrated with three foldings of VLSI architectures; they are 1) shortest optimal path planning 2) behavioral control between multi-robot with leadership swapping methods as per dynamic conditions and 3) obstacle avoidance by multi-robot. The hardware schemes have been designed for navigation of multi-robot with shortest path planning, based on an extended Dijkstra algorithm along with the Delaunay triangulation method. The behavioral control mechanism between the multi-robot is another challenge at the time of navigation and obstacle avoidance at both static and dynamic conditions in real-time scenario. The leader and follower approaches are deployed for cooperation between multi-robot to accomplish the task. The VLSI architectures are proposed for multi-robot navigation in the warehouse-type indoor environment. It is developed using Verilog HDL, simulated and synthesized with Xilinx Vivado 17.1. The Zynq-7000 SoC ZC702 FPGA is used as the target device.

ZnO as a promising photocatalyst has gained much attention for the removal of organic pollutants from water. However, the main drawbacks of the relatively low photocatalytic activity and high recombination rate of photoexcited electron-hole pairs restrict its potential applications. Promoting the spatial separation of photoexcited charge carriers is of paramount significance for photocatalysis because the difference in the band positions makes the potential gradient at the composite boundary. In this work, binary CdS/ZnO and CoTiO3/ZnO are first prepared by dispersion method and then decorated with ZnO particles to construct CdS/CoTiO3/ZnO ternary composites. For this reason, the CdS/CoTiO3/ZnO ternary composites was effectively designed and analyzed for the crystalline structure, light absorption, photoexcitation behavior and surface morphological properties by X-ray diffraction, diffuse reflectance UV/visible absorption spectroscopy, photoluminescence spectroscopy and scanning electron micrograph respectively. The photocatalytic activity was examined by degradation of the dye solution spectrophotometrically. The results of photocatalytic degradation indicated that the CdS/CoTiO3/ZnO ternary composites are much higher than those of bare CdS, CoTiO3, ZnO and any binary composites such as CoTiO3/ZnO and ZnO/CdS. The enhanced activity could be attributed to the drop electron transfer from CdS to ZnO to CoTiO3 through the interfacial potential gradient in the ternary hybrid conduction bands. The enhanced electron transfer of CdS/CoTiO3/ZnO ternary composites was also applicable to degrade other reactive dyes.

Solar active ternary NiO/CuTiO3/ZnO semiconductor heterojunction were developed by alcoholic dispersion technique. As prepared ternary system and parent photocatalysts were analyze crystalline phase, surface morphology, light absorbance property, electron hole accusation parting and significant functional groups by means of specific physicochemical feature measurements. From the results, enhanced visible light photo mineralization, superior efficiency of charge carriers separation and better photocatalytic degradation of reactive orange 30 were confirmed for ternary NiO/CuTiO3/ZnO semiconductor heterojunction. Hydroxyl radical in the radical trapping experiments confirmed the photocatalytic degradation, which plays an important role in removal of hazardous dye from industrial effluents. This work demonstrates that synergetic effect of CuTiO3 and NiO in which it proves to be a good option for recovering the consumption of visible light of ZnO-based materials in the ternary hybrid conduction bands.

Aim. The aim of this study is to identify differential gene expression for glioblastoma tumor cells, normoxic and hypoxic glioblastoma stem-like cell lines. Finding the upregulated and downregulated gene and pathway interactions. Analysis to find the differential expression genes and pathway interactions. Materials and methods. The gene expression profiling data from the microarray dataset GSE45117 from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database, as well as differentially expressed genes (DEGs) between the 2 categories, are used in this analysis. 4 Samples of Glioblastoma tumors were considered as group 1 and 4 samples of normoxic and Hypoxic glioblastoma stem-like cell lines were considered as group 2 in the GEO2R web tool that has been used to screen them. Results. The gene-gene interactions among the DEGs and the GGI network with 37 nodes and 13 edges. The stem-cell-like cell lines showed lower expression of endothelin-related genes such as EDN3 and EDNRA along with dysregulation of enzymes such as PDK1, PGK1 which points to dysregulation of cellular respiratory pathways. This effect in consensus with under expression of cell attachment genes such as COL2A1, COL5A2, COL15A1 denotes a strong shift toward metastasis. Conclusion. Thus, a computational pipeline for identifying the significant genes and pathways involved in the glioblastoma tumors and glioblastoma stem-like cell lines. This study provides a path towards discovering potential leads for the treatment of glioblastoma and aids in comprehending the underlying novel molecular mechanisms.

To give cleaner air to future generation with less pollution and to protect our atmosphere from depletion of ozone layer there is a great need of adaptation of emission free vehicles like EVs and HEVs. Even though Government is giving many incentives and subsidies in making the shift towards EVs and HEVs, but due to lack of storage system, less improvement in power electronics and drive system, there is no prominent increase in the emission free transportation on road. With good storage system the cost of the EVs and HEVs are increasing when compared to ICE vehicles. A huge research is taking place in this area. This paper gives the details of Converters, Inverters and Control strategies used in EVs and HEVs to compare which is best suitable to increase the performance of EVs and HEVs. Basic Conventional Vehicle and Hybrid Vehicle system simulation results are taken, and they are compared to understand the advantages and improving the usage of EVs and HEVs with proper storage system. This article introduces a cylindrical dielectric resonator antenna (CDRA) fed with a rhombic ring-shaped tapered feed for Multiple-Input-Multiple-Output (MIMO) applications. The proposed hybrid MIMO CDRA resonates at four frequency bands 2.5, 5.09, 6.8, and 9.0 GHz with isolation levels of 22, 34.22, 30.55, and 18.55 dB. Isolation enhancements are achieved by introducing “L” shaped slots on the partial ground plane. Parametric analysis is performed to validate the optimized dimensions of the tapered feed without and with DRA and defected ground structure. Diversity performance is examined by using envelope correlation coefficient and diversity gain. The proposed antenna operates in the S, C, and X-bands and is suitable for RF communication mobile broadband services, Wi-Fi, radar, and satellite applications. Good agreement is observed between simulated and measured results.

In this study, an atmospheric pressure dielectric barrier discharge-based argon plasma jet has been modeled using COMSOL Multiphysics, which is based on the finite element method. The fluid dynamics and plasma modules of COMSOL Multiphysics code have been used for the modeling of the plasma jet. The plasma parameters, such as electron density, electron temperature, and electrical potential, have been examined by varying the electrical parameters, that is, supply voltage and supply frequency for both cases of static and with the flow of argon gas. The argon gas flow rate was fixed at 1 l/min. Ring electrode arrangement is subjected to a range of supply frequencies (10–25 kHz) and supply voltages (3.5–6 kV). The experimental results of the ring electrode configuration have been compared with the simulation analysis results. These results help in establishing an optimized operating range of the dielectric barrier discharge-based cold plasma jet in the glow discharge regime without arcing phenomenon. For the applied voltage and supply frequency parameters examined in this work, the discharge was found to be consistently homogeneous and displayed the characteristics of atmospheric pressure glow discharge.

This article presents a design and analysis of novel offset feed annular ring dielectric resonator antenna for bandwidth increment technique. The proposed antenna design consists of a square-shaped question mark feed with an annular ring. The proposed design generates triple-band characteristics by changing the feed width. The proposed design operates in the following frequency bands 2.2-2.7 GHz, 3.13-3.94 GHz & 5.7- 7.15 GHz with corresponding bandwidth of 22%, 23%, 21%. The applications of the proposed antenna are like Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz), mobile broadband, broadband radio service (3.5 GHz), Radars, commercial WLAN (6.8 GHz).

The photocatalytic degradation and mineralization of ReactiveOrange30 on NiO/CuO/TiO2 ternary composites has been studied using solar light irradiation. This NiO/CuO/TiO2 ternary composites were prepared by different mass ratios of NiO and CuO/TiO2(3wt% to 15wt.%) on the ethonalic dispersion and annealed at 300˚ C. SEM, UV- Vis DRS, PL, XRD and FTIR analysis has used to characterize the all photocatalysts. NiO/CuO/TiO2 ternary composites demonstrate enhanced photocatalytic activity than NiO/TiO2, CuO/TiO2and pure TiO2 due to separation of photogenerated electrons and holes charges. The NiO/CuO/TiO2ternary composites shows good photostability and the photocatalyst retain the 94% of its initial activity in the seventh cycle, respectively.
