We report luminous polylactic acid (PLA) composite prepared via a solvent casting method using different amounts of phosphor strontium aluminate (SrAl2O4: Eu2+ and Dy3+) (SAO). The reason for doing this is that the changes of fluorescence and mechanical properties in the composites with different SAO contents can be directly evaluated. The SAO particles should have a variety of excellent characteristics in the PLA matrix, among which dispersibility and compatibility are particularly important; so, they can be modified by 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APS) to achieve the target characteristics. The results showed that the fluorescence and mechanical properties were affected by SAO addition. The mechanical properties significantly improved with 5 wt% SAO; further, addition had no impact. And the emission band of fluorescence and phosphorescence is just at the peak of 524 nm. The composites with 15 wt% SAO have the best fluorescence properties. The fluorescence decreased with further doping. Fluorescence decay curves with various amounts of SAO particles show a similar tendency as pure SAO particles; the speed of decrease in afterglow intensity was higher for the first 30 min. In addition, the detailed morphological scanning and study by scanning electron microscope (SEM) showed that the particles had good adhesion to the matrix. In conclusion, the concentration of SAO into the PLA matrix impacts the fluorescence and mechanical properties of a SAO/PLA composite material. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

According to the mining results of coastal economic vulnerability assessment information, the frequent itemsets association rules of coastal economic vulnerability assessment data are reconstructed, the correlation dimension characteristics of coastal economic vulnerability information are extracted, and the regular characteristics of coastal economic vulnerability assessment cross-correlation information fusion are analyzed. Taking this as the constraint condition, the correlation information mining evaluation of coastal economic vulnerability assessment is carried out, and the statistical analysis and robustness test of coastal economic vulnerability are carried out by using statistical feature analysis method. The simulation structure shows that the model has good accuracy and high confidence in coastal economic vulnerability assessment, and improves the quality of coastal economic vulnerability assessment. Effective FeCo alloy core@nitrogen-doped carbon shell nanoparticles anchored on carbon nanotubes (CNTs) were synthesized through the pyrolysis of a metal–organic framework (Fe/Co) with CNTs and were investigated for the first time as bifunctional electrocatalysts for oxygen reduction/evolution reactions. The catalyst pyrolyzed at 600 °C affords excellent bifunctional catalytic activity with a Δ E (E OER @10 mA cm −2 -E ORR @-1 mA cm −2 ) gap of 0.79 V in an alkaline electrolyte, a first discharge/charge specific capacity of more than 5000 mAh g cat −1 at a constant current density of 100 mA g cat −1 in Li O 2 battery. Introduction: Caleosins are recognized as the key proteins found in Lipid Droplets (LDs) and are crucial for the creation, maintenance, and breakdown of LDs. Nevertheless, our understanding of caleosins remains limited within Theaceae, a prominent botanical family encompassing economically significant tea and oil tea species., Methods: In this research, we conducted a comprehensive genome-wide exploration and examination of the caleosin family in Theaceae species with sequenced genomes. The gene number of caleosin was similar among Theaceae species. Segmental duplication was the main form of caleosin expansion in Shuchazao (SCZ), Huangdan (HD), Biyun (BY), Tieguanyin (TGY), Longjing (LJ), C. lanceoleosa (Cla) and C. chekiangoleosa (CCH). Synteny analysis revealed one-to-more and more-to-one collinear relationships of caleosin genes among Theaceae species., Results: Caleosins in Theaceae are categorized into either the H-family or the L-family, each exhibiting distinct motif structures and physicochemical properties. Expression analysis revealed an apparent flower-predominant expression pattern of caleosin genes in Theaceae species. Background: Temozolomide, which is the standard drug for glioma treatment, has several Adverse events (AEs) in the treatment of gliomas and other tumors that are not yet fully understood. This is due to the pharmacological nature of the alkylating agent. A significant proportion of these effects have not been systematically documented or reported., Methods: We selected data from the United States FDA Adverse Event Reporting System (FAERS) database from the first quarter of 2004 to the fourth quarter of 2023. Four algorithms were used for disproportionate analysis, with the objective of assessing the association between temozolomide and related adverse events., Results: In this study, 20,079,906 case reports were collected from the FAERS database, of which 15,152 adverse events related to temozolomide were reported. A total of 352 preferred terms (PTs) and 24 system organ classes (SOCs) that were significantly disproportionally related to the four algorithms were included. The SOCs included blood and lymphatic system disorders (χ 2 = 18,220.09, n = 4,325); skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders (χ 2 = 408.06, n = 1,347); investigations (χ 2 = 639.44, n = 3,925); musculoskeletal and connective tissue disorders (χ 2 = 1,317.29, n = 588); and psychiatric disorders (χ 2 = 1,098.47, n = 877). PT levels were screened for adverse drug reaction signals consistent with drug inserts, such as anemia, thrombocytopenia, liver function abnormalities, nausea and vomiting, as well as rarely reported adverse drug reactions, such as aplastic anemia, myelodysplastic syndromes, electrolyte disorders, cerebral edema, and high-frequency mutations., Conclusion: The results of our investigation demonstrated both adverse effects that had been reported and a multitude of unreported adverse effects that were serious in nature and lacked a clear cause. Background and Aim: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the ten most common malignant tumors in the world, and it is a major problem in the world. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has many advantages in the prevention and treatment of HCC, but its complicated mechanism of action is difficult to clarify, which limits its research and development. The continuous development of bioinformation technology provides new methods and opportunities for the research of TCM. This study used modern network pharmacology and bioinformatic methods to explore the possible molecular mechanism of the Chinese herbal compound Fuzheng Xiaoliu Granule (FZXLG) to treat HCC, to provide a theoretical basis for their clinical application and basic research, to promote the modernization of TCM, and to promote its worldwide application., Methods: The active ingredients of FZXLG were collected and screened through TCMSP, BATMAN-TCM, and other databases. The targets of FZXLG were predicted by PubChem and SwissTargetPrediction; HCC disease-related targets were obtained by GeneCards, OMIM, and other disease databases, and the potential gene targets of FZXLG for HCC treatment were screened. The "Prescription-TCMs-Ingredients-Targets" network of FZXLG for the treatment of HCC was constructed, along with the screening of core effective components. The differentially expressed genes (DEGs) of HCC tumor and non-tumor adjacent tissues combined with clinical data in the TCGA database were analyzed to obtain the prognostic genes of HCC. Then, FZXLG genes affecting HCC prognosis were screened and further screening the core target genes. The correlation between core gene expression with prognosis, immune cell infiltration, and immunohistochemical changes in HCC patients was studied. Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) enrichment analysis and Gene Ontology enrichment analysis of the FZXLG genes affecting HCC prognosis were performed using DAVID database. AutoDockTools software was then used for molecular docking verification., Results: The ten core effective ingredients of FZXLG for HCC treatment included multiple flavonoids ingredients such as quercetin, luteolin, and formononetin. 11 core targets of FZXLG affecting the prognosis of HCC were screened, among which estrogen receptor 1 (ESR1) and catalase (CAT) were favorable prognostic factors, while EGF, MMP9, CCNA2, CCNB1, CDK1, CHEK1, and E2F1 were adverse prognostic factors. MMP9 and EGF were positively correlated with six TIIC subsets. The different expression levels of CAT, PLG, AR, MMP9, CCNA2, CCNB1, CDK1, and E2F1 were correlated with the immunohistochemical staining changes in normal liver and liver cancer. KEGG pathway enrichment analysis yielded 33 pathways including cell cycle, p53, hepatitis B, and other signaling pathways. Molecular docking verified that the main core components had good binding to the protective prognostic core targets ESR1 and CAT., Conclusions: FZXLG may treat HCC through multiple ingredients, multiple targets, and multiple pathways, affecting the prognosis, immune microenvironment, and immunohistochemical changes of HCC., Relevance for Patients: FZXLG is a Chinese herbal compound for the treatment of HCC, with significant clinical efficacy. However, the mechanism of action is unclear and lacks theoretical support, which limits its popularization application.
