This article is part of a research entitled "Early Childhood Education in/of the Countryside: from management to the organization of pedagogical work in municipal education networks located in the Southern Region of Bahia" and aims to present the analysis carried out on Early Childhood Education in/of the Countryside and the provision of teacher education for this stage and modality of basic education in the public universities of the State of Bahia. Therefore, the following question guided the study: How has been offered in public universities of Bahia the initial and continuing education for teachers that working in Early Childhood Education of the Countryside? In order to achieve the proposed objective, a methodology for surveying and analyzing information and data available on the official websites of public universities of Bahia was used. In addition, the research was based on a critical and dialectical approach, placing the object of study in a broader social, political and socioeconomic context. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that there are courses focused on Education of Countryside, however they do not specifically cover the teacher education for Early Childhood Education in/of Countryside.
