Financial Education (FE), which is the process that seeks to improve understanding of financial products and services, has received visibility in the educational field, given the situation of economic fragility faced by many countries. The general objective of the present study is to implement a FE course at UFTM, seeking, in an interactive way, to make the participants improve their financial knowledge, behaviors and attitudes, which are the components that form Financial Literacy. Thus, a FE course was designed and offered to UFTM public servants, whose menu was prepared based on existing material, composed mainly of books and websites related to the theme. Initially, a bibliographic survey was carried out by consulting the theory related to the theme as well as its particularities through books, articles, dissertations, theses and websites. In addition, a validated questionnaire was prepared with public servants who participated in the FE course and those who did not, so that the degree of Financial Literacy of the participants of this training action could be measured, comparing it with that of the non-participants. This instrument used multiple-choice questions to assess the profile of respondents, as well as measure financial knowledge, in addition to five-point Likert-type questions to assess both financial attitude and financial behavior. The results showed that those who participated in the FE course had a higher level of Financial Literacy compared to those who did not, which reinforces the need for training and development actions related to Finance to be encouraged, especially within schools and universities.

- Abstract
Thlaspi arvense (field pennycress) is being domesticated as a winter annual oilseed crop capable of improving ecosystems and intensifying agricultural productivity without increasing land use. It is a selfing diploid with a short life cycle and is amenable to genetic manipulations, making it an accessible field-based model species for genetics and epigenetics. The availability of a high-quality reference genome is vital for understanding pennycress physiology and for clarifying its evolutionary history within the Brassicaceae. Here, we present a chromosome-level genome assembly of var. MN106-Ref with improved gene annotation and use it to investigate gene structure differences between two accessions (MN108 and Spring32-10) that are highly amenable to genetic transformation. We describe non-coding RNAs, pseudogenes and transposable elements, and highlight tissue-specific expression and methylation patterns. Resequencing of forty wild accessions provided insights into genome-wide genetic variation, and QTL regions were identified for a seedling colour phenotype. Altogether, these data will serve as a tool for pennycress improvement in general and for translational research across the Brassicaceae.

- Abstract
Tools for Programming Languages processing, like Static Analysers (for instance, a Static Application Security Testing (SAST) tool), must be adapted to cope with a different input when the source programming language changes. Complexity of the programming language is one of the key factors that deeply impact the time of giving support to it. This paper aims at proposing an approach for assessing language complexity, measuring, at a first stage, the complexity of its underlying context-free grammar (CFG). From the analysis of concrete case studies, factors have been identified that make the support process more time-consuming, in particular in the stages of language recognition and in the transformation to an abstract syntax tree (AST). In this sense, at a second stage, a set of language characteristics is analysed in order to take into account the referred factors that also impact on the language processing. The principal goal of the project here reported is to help development teams to improve the estimation of time and effort needed to cope with a new programming language. In the paper a tool is proposed, and its prototype is presented, that allows the evaluation of the complexity of a language based on a set of metrics to classify the complexity of its grammar, along with a set of properties. The tool compares the new language complexity so far determined with previously supported languages, to predict the effort to process the new language.

- Abstract
Natural plant populations often harbour substantial heritable variation in DNA methylation. However, a thorough understanding of the genetic and environmental drivers of this epigenetic variation requires large-scale and high-resolution data, which currently exist only for a few model species. Here, we studied 207 lines of the annual weed Thlaspi arvense (field pennycress), collected across a large latitudinal gradient in Europe and propagated in a common environment. By screening for variation in DNA sequence and DNA methylation using whole-genome (bisulfite) sequencing, we found significant epigenetic population structure across Europe. Average levels of DNA methylation were strongly context-dependent, with highest DNA methylation in CG context, particularly in transposable elements and in intergenic regions. Residual DNA methylation variation within all contexts was associated with genetic variants, which often co-localized with annotated methylation machinery genes but also with new candidates. Variation in DNA methylation was also significantly associated with climate of origin, with methylation levels being higher in warmer regions and lower in more variable climates. Finally, we used variance decomposition to assess genetic versus environmental associations with differentially methylation regions (DMRs). We found that while genetic variation was generally the strongest predictor of DMRs, the strength of environmental associations increased from CG to CHG and CHH, with climate-of-origin as the strongest predictor in about one third of the CHH DMRs. In summary, our data show that natural epigenetic variation in Thlaspi arvense is significantly associated with both DNA sequence and environment of origin, and that the relative importance of the two factors strongly depends on the sequence context of DNA methylation. T. arvense is an emerging biofuel and winter cover crop; our results may hence be relevant for breeding efforts and agricultural practices i

Fresh cheese is a food with great demand by consumers due to the sensory characteristics and emotions that it evokes when consumed. The objective of this study was to determine the impact of the type of cattle feeding (Bos taurus L.) on the sensory properties, emotions and consumer preference of fresh cheese. Six cheeses were made, which corresponded to each type of diet: (1) ground corn silage, (2) Brachiaria decumbens and chicken manure, (3) Brachiaria humidicola dry with molasses, (4) Brachiaria decumbens and feed, (5) Brachiaria decumbens, and (6) Brachiaria Brizantha. The cheeses were characterized by quantitative descriptive analysis, Temporal Dominance of Sensations, determination of emotions, and preference analysis. The results indicated that diet type (5) generates acidic, salty cheeses with a juicy texture and a salty aftertaste. The dominant attributes were: salty, whey aroma, smooth texture, and salty aftertaste. "Good", "enthusiastic" and "calm" positive emotions were evoked by cheeses (1), (2) and (6). The rest evoked the negative emotions "worried", "upset" and "aggressive". Consumers had a marked preference for cheese (6) and (2). [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

O tempo reduzido de análise proporciona alta produtividade e baixo consumo de solventes gerando menos resíduo para o ambiente Abstract: Detergent and dispersant additives are added to automotive gasoline to reduce deposit formation in the engine, promoting cleaning of the tank and the entire feed system, up to the engine intake valves. The addition of detergent and dispersant additives to all commercial gasoline (ANP Resolution 40/2013, ANP: National Agency for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels) was scheduled for July 1, 2017. However, on June 29, 2017 the ANP, through ANP Resolution 684/2017, suspended compulsory additions due to methodological and laboratory difficulties and the need to re-evaluate the system of additivation. There are not currently standard methods for identification and quantification of additives in fuels. In this way, the development of a method to qualify and quantify additives is a new demand. For this study, four additives identified only as G, T, W and Y were supplied by the ANP, due to the industrial secret that surrounds their compositions. Initially, the four additives were studied, however, the additive Y did not present good stability. In this way, the work was focused on the other additives. First, the qualitative method was developed by direct infusion in a mass spectrometer with electrospray ionization in the positive mode. Subsequently, the quantitative method was developed by liquid chromatography coupled tandem mass spectrometry (LC-ESI (+) - MS / MS). The analytical curves constructed showed good linearity in the studied range with determination coefficients above 0.99. A total of 20 additive gasoline samples were collected at fuel stations in the State of São Paulo, where it was possible to unequivocally differentiate the three additives studied and to quantify them in only 10 minutes of running. The reduced analysis time provides high productivity and low solvent consumption, generating less waste for the environment Mestrado Materiais e Processos de Fabricação

The program understanding task is usually very time and effort consuming. In a traditional way the code is inspected line by line by the user without any kind of help. But this becomes impossible for larger systems. Some software systems were created in order to generate automatically explanations, metrics, statistics and visualizations to describe the syntax and the semantics of programs. This kind of tools are called Program Comprehension Systems. One of the most important feature used in this kind of tool is the software visualization. We feel that it would be very useful to define criteria for evaluating visualization systems that are used for program comprehension. The main objective of this paper is to present a set of parameters to characterize Program Comprehension-Oriented Software Visualization Systems. We also propose new parameters to improve the current taxonomies in order to cover the visualization of the Problem Domain., Interacção 2008 – Actas da 3a. In the context of our research project, we propose an interactive tool (GuessXQ) to perform the access to the information in a collection of eXtensible Markup Language (XML) documents. Due to the complex nature of those structured documents, the associated standard query language is also complex and, thus, not easy for most of the users. The GUI we propose does not require any knowledge about the query language, it is based on the Query-By-Example (QBE) paradigm from traditional databases. Using QBE, instead of specifying the desired components of the documents and eventual restrictions in a query, the user exemplifies those components marking them directly on a sample document picked-up from the collection. We believe this leverages the user's cognition about the object to search. GuessXQ is then responsible for the generation of the query to be treated by the information retrieval engine., Actas da 4ª Conferência Nacional em Interacção Humano-Computador, Concepção e Desenvolvimento da Interacção, 89, 93, Daniela Fonte, Daniela da Cruz, Pedro Rangel Henriques, and Alda Lopes Gançarski, XML, XQuery, Query-by-example

- Abstract
The conception of the interior-exterior relationship as a spatial duality makes it possible to understand the dynamism of spaces and at the same time to understand this contradiction as a dissociation of interior-exterior space. Therefore, the interior - exterior relationship can be approached as an intermediate space applied to a shopping gallery and technology centre that allows linking the existing fabric with the immediate surroundings and the interior space from the spatial forms for the communication of the two spaces in which the intermediate space links the public and private or interior - exterior in a subtle and fluid way.

- Abstract
Plants are hubs of organismic interactions. They constantly engage in beneficial or competitive interactions with fungi, oomycetes, bacteria, insects, nematodes, and other plants. To adjust the molecular processes necessary for the establishment and maintenance of beneficial interactions and for the defense against pathogens and herbivores, plants have evolved intricate regulatory mechanisms. Besides the canonical plant immune system that acts as the primary defense, epigenetic mechanisms have started to emerge as another regulatory entity and as a target of pathogens trying to overcome the plant’s defenses. In this review, we highlight recent advances in understanding the contribution of various epigenetic components and of epigenetic diversity to plantorganismic interactions.

In recent years, the sensory experience of consumers in the purchase of a product or service has become an important aspect in the marketing activities of any organization. - Abstract
