- Abstract
This audio recording of WTLC's news radio show Like It Is details updates on the communications workers' union election controversy, efforts to recruit women and minority firefighters and police officers, the resignation of IPS school board president, information on sign language classes at Marian College (now Marian University), the 1979 State of the State address and reactions to it, reactions to a proposal by senator Lugar to balance the federal budget, a potential increase in cab fare, updates on controversial firings at a local factory, updates on complaints of discrimination against Stoplight Disco and other matters concerning the Civil Rights and Human Rights commissions, efforts to encourage minority contractors to enter the job market, a study on painkillers used during childbirth, and a note on the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
