[ES] La enfermedad del Alzheimer es el tipo más común de demencia y está reconocida por la OMS como una prioridad de salud pública. En la actualidad no existe una cura o tratamiento efectivo para combatirlo, es por esto mismo por lo que es muy importante invertir en medios de detección temprana de la enfermedad. En este trabajo se va a realizar un estudio sobre la posibilidad de utilizar mecanismos de inteligencia artificial, en especial deep learning o aprendizaje profundo, para conseguir detectar de forma precoz marcadores de enfermedades neurodegenerativas en imágenes de resonancia magnética (MRI) en 3D. Realizaremos un análisis entre algunos modelos ya propuestos por otros autores y otros modelos propios. Además, se pretende hacer una comparativa entre arquitecturas de redes profundas basadas en convoluciones en 2D (redes convolucionales comunes) y modelos basados en convoluciones 3D. Buscaremos nuevos planteamientos para mejorar los resultados existentes así como métodos para aprovechar al máximo la información contenida en una imagen 3D (volumen MRI) para alimentar un modelo 2D. Para el desarrollo se usará la base de imágenes del ADNI (Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging Initiative)., [EN] Alzheimer's disease is the most common type of dementia and is recognized by the WHO as a public health priority. There is currently no cure or effective treatment to combat it, which is why it is so important to invest in early detection of the disease. In this work, a study will be carried out on the possibility of using artificial intelligence mechanisms, especially deep learning, to achieve early detection of neurodegenerative disease markers in 3D magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). We will perform an analysis between some models already proposed by other authors and our own models. In addition, we intend to make a comparison between deep network architectures based on 2D convolutions (common convolutional networks) and models based on 3D convolutions. We will look for new approaches to improve existing results as well as methods to take full advantage of the information contained in a 3D image (MRI volume) to feed a 2D model. The ADNI (Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging Initiative) imaging database will be used for the development.

La llegenda de fra Joan Garí, primer eremita de Montserrat, es documenta entre els segles XIII-XV a través de textos escrits en llatí o en català, però en el segle xvi aquest mateix relat es va transmetre sobretot a través d’obres devotes o historiogràfiques impreses en castellà per autors com Pedro de Burgos, Pedro de Medina o Pere Antoni Beuter. En aquest article s’ofereix un panorama general sobre les reescriptures medievals o cinc-centistes d’aquesta llegenda, i es posa especial èmfasi en dues de les versions castellanes més extenses, ambdues anònimes: la Historia de fray Juan Garín, sense dades tipogràfiques però impresa a Toledo durant els darrers dies de 1527 o poc després; i la Vida de fray Juan Garín (València, 1561), basada en el Libro de los milagros (1536) de Pedro de Burgos. La Vida, gairebé desconeguda, ens ha arribat a través d’un plec solt de la Biblioteca Comunale Augusta de Perugia. A banda d’introduir i comparar la Historia i la Vida amb altres versions de la mateixa llegenda, aquest article ofereix una edició acarada d’ambdós textos., The legend of friar Joan Garí, the first hermit of Montserrat, is documented between the 13th and 15th centuries through texts written in Latin or Catalan, but in the 16th century the same story was transmitted mainly through devotional or historiographical printed works written in Spanish by authors such as Pedro de Burgos, Pedro de Medina or Pere Antoni Beuter. This article provides an overview of the medieval or sixteenth-century rewritings of this legend, with special emphasis on two of the most extensive Spanish versions, both anonymous: the Historia de fray Juan Garín, without typographic data but printed in Toledo during the last days of 1527 or shortly thereafter; and the Vida de fray Juan Garín (Valencia, 1561), based on the Libro de los Milagros (1536) by Pedro de Burgos. The Vida, an almost unknown work, has reached us through a chapbook of the Biblioteca Comunale Augusta in Perugia. In addition to introducing and comparing the Historia and the Vida with other versions of the same legend, this article offers a face-to-face edition of both texts.

This paper presents three tools developed within the framework of the project EDINSOST2-SDG, aimed at embedding and assessing the Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in Engineering curricula. ESD is promoted through the introduction into engineering curricula of learning outcomes related to sustainability and, specifically, to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). The first tool, the ‘Engineering Sustainability Map’, contains ESD-related learning outcomes that any engineering student should have acquired upon completion of their studies. These learning outcomes are described according to four sustainability competencies: (1) Critical contextualization of knowledge, (2) Sustainable use of resources, (3) Participation in community processes, and (4) Application of ethical principles. The second tool, the ‘Sustainability Presence Map’ of a degree, shows the percentage of the presence in the curriculum of each sustainability competency. The calculation of the presence of each competency is based upon the effective integration of the related learning outcomes in a specific curriculum. Respective data are provided by teachers responsible for the coordination of the different subjects of the degree, collected through a questionnaire. The third tool presented is a questionnaire aimed at measuring the level of ESD that students perceive they have acquired through each competency. The comparison of data resulting from the Sustainability Presence Map with the data from the student questionnaire allows to determine the effectiveness of embedding ESD in a degree. The three tools presented in this work have undergone a validation process and are currently being used in a set of engineering degrees related to the EDINSOST2-SDG project. The results of the application of these tools is part of the future research work of the authors.

This paper features a methodology for embedding and assessing a competency in an academic curriculum using competency maps. This methodology enables embedding and assessment of any competency in any curriculum, regardless of the educational level, as long as the competency is correctly described by means of a competency map. As an example of the application of this methodology, a proposal for embedding and assessing sustainability in engineering degrees is presented. A competency map embodies the set of learning outcomes of the competency that students should have acquired upon completion of their studies. This information allows the designers of the curriculum to determine the learning outcomes that should be developed in the degree and to distribute them appropriately among the subjects. The presence map can be constructed from the competency map. It contains information regarding the extent to which each learning outcome of the competency map is being developed in the degree. This paper proposes the construction of a presence map in two steps: (1) perform a survey and (2) conduct a semi-structured interview with professors. The interview, which is conducted by one or several experts in the competency, allows the different criteria used by the professors when filling out the questionnaire to be unified, whereas the presence map shows whether a particular competency is correctly embedded in the curriculum and the aspects that could be improved. Finally, to validate that the students are achieving the learning outcomes of the competency map, we propose a survey to measure the students’ perception about their own learning in the competency. These results can be compared with the presence map to help determine whether, from the students’ point of view, the expected learning outcomes are being achieved in the corresponding subjects. In this paper, we study product convolutional codes described by state-space representations. In particular, we investigate how to derive state-space representations of the product code from the horizontal and vertical convolutional codes. We present a systematic procedure to build such representation with minimal dimension, i.e., reachable and observable.

A two-leaves poetic chapbook, printed in 1556, includes an Eucharistic poem written in Catalan by Joan Timoneda, with the following opening lines: «En la cena consagrada / fon posat aquest sant pa». This poem develops the allegory of the mystical mill and remained in the oral tradition through a song entitled La cena, documented in the 19th and 20th centuries: not only there have been recorded several oral versions, some of them with musical notation, but at least two 19th-century broadsheets are known. This paper focuses especially on a broadsheet edition with La cena on one side and four other texts on the other side, depending on the copy taken into consideration. This fact indicates that this edition, with its different publishing solutions, was composed by printing La cena on the blank side of different broadsides. It would be a case of reusing stocks not previously sold by the printer. Moreover, the analyzed data agree with the conclusion that this edition is not prior to 1841. Another edition of La cena was printed in Barcelona by Miquel Borràs, probably in 1845., En un pliego poético de dos hojas, impreso en 1556, se incluye un poema eucarístico escrito por Joan Timoneda en catalán que comienza «En la cena consagrada / fon posat aquest sant pa». Este poema desarrolla la alegoría del molino místico y ha pervivido en la tradición oral a través de una canción titulada La cena y documentada en los siglos xix-xx, de la cual se han recolectado diversas versiones orales, algunas de ellas con notación musical, y también se conocen por lo menos dos hojas volanderas decimonónicas. Este artículo se centra especialmente en una edición de hoja volandera que transmite por una cara La cena y por la otra, según el ejemplar que se tome en consideración, hasta cuatro textos diferentes. Esto nos lleva a suponer que esta edición de La cena, con sus diferentes soluciones tipográficas, fue compuesta imprimiendo la canción catalana sobre la cara no usada de diferentes hojas que ya habían sido impresas anteriormente por la otra cara. Así pues, se trataría de un caso de reutilización de las existencias que el impresor no había logrado vender. Los datos expuestos también permiten concluir que esta edición no es anterior a 1841. La otra edición de La cena fue impresa en Barcelona por Miquel Borràs, probablemente en 1845.
