In this article, we report the fabrication of a free-standing non-porous polyethylene oxide (PEO)-based solid-state polymer electrolyte with the amalgamation of magnesium triflate (Mg(OTf)2) and plasticizer succinonitrile (SN) for room-temperature secondary Mg–O2 batteries. The polymer electrolyte comprising [EO] : Mg2+ = 20 : 1 and 30 wt% SN delivered the highest room-temperature (RT) conductivity of 3.9 × 10−5 S cm−1, which reached 2.2 × 10−4 S cm−1 at 60 °C. Ruthenium nanoparticles anchored multi-walled carbon nanotubes (Ru/CNT) on carbon paper were used as cathode catalysts for rechargeable Mg–O2 batteries. The non-establishment of the cathode–solid-state polymer electrolyte interphase was alleviated by introducing a separator soaked with 50–60 μL of 1 M Mg(TFSI)2 in diglyme (G2) between the polymer electrolyte and Ru/CNT cathode catalyst. The Mg–O2 battery with this hybrid electrolyte configuration delivered a deep discharge capacity of 9489 mA h g−1 at 100 mA g−1 and a stable galvanostatic discharge–charge performance with the cycle number reaching 51 at 100 mA g−1 with 500 mA h g−1 curtailing capacity, demonstrating an average charging–discharging voltage hysteresis of 1.14 V at RT. The polymer electrolyte also participated in forming an MgF2-rich stable solid-electrolyte interphase layer on the Mg anode, substantially protecting the anode surface from severe side reactions and corrosion. Raman spectroscopy and distribution of relaxation time studies shed light on the probable mechanism of the liquid catholyte in improving the interphase issue. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The development of electrodes capable of maintaining strong adhesion and conductivity in wet environments is crucial for a wide range of electronic applications. From underwater monitoring systems to biomedical devices, the limitations of conventional electrodes pose a significant challenge. Inspired by the adhesive and self-healing properties of marine mussels, this work introduces a self-healing conductive adhesive that not only adheres tenaciously to various surfaces in wet conditions but also demonstrates exceptional conductivity for reliable detection of electrophysiological signals. In this study, our biocompatible adhesive consists of a boronic ester-based polyvinyl alcohol hydrogel with polydopamine particles (PVA/Borax/PDAP). Borate ions enable rapid self-healing (within 10 seconds) by forming dynamic bonds with hydroxyl groups, while the π–π interactions of PDAPs enhance adhesion strength (121 kPa). The inclusion of saturated saline further improves both stretchability (up to ∼1000%) and conductivity (38.3 mS cm−1). We successfully demonstrate the utility of this self-healing conductive adhesive in recording electrophysiological signals, including electroencephalography (EEG), electrodermal activity detection, and electrocardiograms, highlighting its potential for next-generation biomedical wearable devices. Triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) have become reliable green energy harvesters by converting biomechanical motions into electricity. However, the inevitable charge leakage and poor electric field (EF) of conventional TENG result in inferior tribo‐charge density on the active layer. In this paper, TiO2‐MXene incorporated polystyrene (PS) nanofiber membrane (PTMx NFM) charge trapping interlayer is introduced into single electrode mode TENG (S‐TENG) to prevent electron loss at the electrode interface. Surprisingly, this charge‐trapping mechanism augments the surface charge density and electric output performance of TENGs. Polyvinylidene difluoride (PVDF) mixed polyurethane (PU) NFM is used as tribo‐active layer, which improves the crystallinity and mechanical property of PVDF to prevent delamination during long cycle tests. Herein, the effect of this double‐layer capacitive model is explained experimentally and theoretically. With optimization of the PTMx interlayer thickness, S‐TENG exhibits a maximum open‐circuit voltage of (280 V), short‐circuit current of (20 µA) transfer charge of (120 nC), and power density of (25.2 µW cm−2). Then, this energy is utilized to charge electrical appliances. In addition, the influence of AC/DC EF simulation in wound healing management (vitro L929 cell migration, vivo tissue regeneration) is also investigated by changing the polarity of trans‐epithelial potential (TEP) distribution in the wounded area. Indomethacin (IDM) is commonly prescribed for headaches, fever, and articular disease as a nonselective nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis to reduce fever, inflammation, and pain. However, its extensive use has resulted in water reservoir contamination from human and veterinary waste. Recognizing the urgent need for sustainable water contamination prevention and human health concerns, researchers have focused on indomethacin detection. In response, an innovative interdisciplinary platform, merging nanoscience and electrochemical engineering, was created. Detailed examination of the structural, crystallographic features and morphological insights of the electrode modifier was conducted. The nanocomposite's hierarchical arrangement, utilizing hybrid heterojunction and quantum confinement, enables synchronized indomethacin detection with a low limit of detection (LOD) of 39.3 nM. The resulting sensor demonstrates a wide linear range (0.001–264.02 μM), along with high sensitivity, selectivity, and stability. Expanding its utility, the sensor was successfully applied to water and human urine samples, showcasing its effectiveness in monitoring the proposed platform's consistency. The utilization of alloyed 2D transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) has become a pivotal approach for addressing challenges in material applications. The judicious selection of dopant constituents offers a potent means to finely modulate the materials' bandgap, consequently broadening the potential applications of 2D materials. In the context of an investigation, Mo1−x−yRexWyS2 is successfully synthesized using chemical vapor deposition. With a bandgap of 1.33 eV, this material exhibits promising prospects for application in the realm of optoelectronics. This advancement enables the fabrication of the Mo1−x−yRexWyS2 photodetector. The rigorous testing and analysis of photoelectric performance reveal significant improvements in both responsivity and response speed compared to analogous detectors. This accomplishment not only furnishes a novel paradigm for the advancement of photodetectors but also contributes fresh insights to the domain of alloyed 2D TMDs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Short‐wave infrared (SWIR) quantum dot (QD)‐converted photodetectors are one of the promising devices used in artificial intelligence and automatic navigation systems. However, compared to semi‐conductor‐type photodetectors, they suffer from poor chemical stability and weak electronic conductivity. In this study, a PbS QD and conductive metal–organic framework (MOF) hybrid composite is designed with SWIR detection capability. The Fourier‐transform infrared spectroscopy confirms the surface modification of PbS QDs with MOF. X‐ray absorption near‐edge structures spectra reveal the chemical bonding between MOF and PbS QDs. Furthermore, 2D grazing‐incidence small‐ and wide‐angle X‐ray scattering is utilized to unveil the particle stacking and the preferred orientation of the PbS@MOF thin film. By integrating the PbS@MOF thin film directly on top of the graphene field effect transistor (FET) device, the chemical stability and photoelectric properties of graphene FET are enhanced, and these are investigated using a focus ion beam with a high‐resolution transmission electron microscope. This study offers a strategy to simultaneously improve the chemical stability and the photoelectronic properties of the nanomaterials as well as contribute to the advancement of a QD‐converted SWIR photodetector. The field of next‐generation microdisplays is flourishing. Relevant display technologies, such as mini‐light emission diodes (mini‐LEDs), micro‐organic light emission diodes (micro‐OLEDs), and micro‐light emission diodes (micro‐LEDs) are thus in the urgent stage of development. From this perspective, comprehensive and systematical analyzes are conducted for the aforesaid microdisplay configurations. A holistic view of microdisplay technologies is developed with the corresponding performance metrics, providing a path for miscellaneous scenarios. Among these scenarios, the applications in augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), wearable devices, and head‐up displays (HUD) are currently attracting considerable attention for deeper human‐digital interactions. However, there is a multiplicity of obstacles and challenges hindering such development. Nevertheless, recent advances in microdisplay technologies hold tremendous promise for the paradigms of these applications, taking a leap forward for next‐generation microdisplays. This review presents perspectives, relevant materials, and the technology landscape for such ongoing display technologies, offering guidance on the design of advanced microdisplays.
