Abstract

Rolling element bearing is an important kind of machine element widely used in mechanical industry,and its internal stress condition has great influence on its service life. Considering the characteristic of elastic nonlinear contact in rolling element bearing,taking deep-groove ball bearing 6304 as investigation object,a flexible finite element dynamic model for contact nonlinear dynamic problem of a deep-groove ball bearing was established. Based on explicit dynamic finite element method,a nonlinear contact dynamic simulation was made and the kinematics characteristic of deep-groove ball bearing and contact stress of inner ring,outer ring and rolling element were obtained. The regularity of dynamic stress varying in motion process was studied.The results show that the present explicit dynamics finite element method is very efficient and reliable in solving complicated rolling element bearing dynamics stress,and it will become a useful means for the further work on rolling element bearing carrying capacity and service life.

Abstract

The China spallation neutron source (CSNS) was built and started running since 2018. It produces neutrons by impinging 1.6 GeV protons onto a tungsten target with 25 Hz repetition frequency. A beam line exploiting the back-streaming neutrons (Back-n) was built mainly for nuclear data measurement and started commissioning simultaneously with CSNS in 2018. There are two experimental endstations along the Back-n beam line: endstation 1 (#ES1) with a neutron flight path of about 55 m and endstation 2 (#ES2) with about 76 m. The neutron energy spectra of both #ES1 and #ES2 were measured since it is important for feasibility study and analysis. In this paper, the measurement of the neutron energy spectrum of Back-n #ES1 is reported. It is measured by a multi-layer fission chamber using the 235U samples as the neutron converters. The neutron energy spectrum from 0.1 eV to 30 MeV is obtained. The integral neutron flux (from 0.1 eV to 30 MeV) normalized to the proton beam power of 100 kW is 1.55×107 neutrons/cm2/s.

Abstract

In the past two decades cooperating with Frank Laboratory of Neutron Physics (FLNP), Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR) measurements of (n, α) reaction cross sections for 6Li, 10B, 25Mg, 39K, 40Ca, 54,56,57 Fe, 58Ni, 63Cu, 64,67 Zn, 95Mo, 143Nd and 147,149 Sm nuclei were performed in the MeV neutron energy region based on the 4.5 MV Van de Graaff accelerator at Peking University. In recent years, our measurements were extended in three aspects. Firstly, measurements were expanded from two-body reactions to three-body reactions such as 10B (n, t2 α). Secondly, the neutron energy region was extended from below 8 MeV to 8 - 11 MeV by using the HI-13 tandem accelerator of China Institute of Atomic Energy (CIAE), with which cross sections of 54,56 Fe(n, α)53,51Cr reactions were measured. Thirdly, based on the newly-built China Spallation Neutron Source (CSNS) Back-n WNS (White Neutron Source), differential and angle-integrated cross sections for 6Li(n, t) and 10B(n, α) reactions were measured in the neutron energy region from 1 eV to 3 MeV.

Abstract

Differential cross-section data for the n-p and n-d elastic scattering (1H(n, el), 2H(n, el)) are collected and analyzed from EXFOR library. For En > 20 MeV, the experimental results for both reactions are scarce with large uncertainties and discrepancies in general. For En ≤ 20 MeV, the experimental results lack systematicness, most of which were measured around En = 14 MeV even though the differential cross sections of n-p scattering in 1 keV ≤ En ≤ 20 MeV region are recommended as standard. Taking these facts into account, more accurate and systematic measurements are planned. The experiments will be conducted using ΔE-E detectors of the Light-charged Particle Detector Array (LPDA) system at China Spallation Neutron Source (CSNS) Back-n White Neutron Source (WNS), and simulations are carried out. Using polyethylene and deuterated polyethylene as samples, both n-p and n-d scattering reactions are simulated along with the neutron-induced 12C background reactions, and the 2-D spectra and the counting rates of the ΔE-E detectors are obtained. According to the simulations, the applicable neutron energy range and positions of the detectors are recommended, and the beam time for the event and background measurements is suggested.

Abstract

Clamping force control is one of the key technologies in the algorithm design and implementation of electro-mechanical braking system, whose control effects directly affect the vehicle braking performance and safety performance. In order to improve the clamping force control performance of electro-mechanical braking (EMB) system, an EMB clamping force control method based on Variable universe adaptive fuzzy PID (VUF-PID) controller is proposed, and stretching factors are added to the fuzzy PID control. According to the operation of the controlled object, the fuzzy theory domain can be adjusted in real time to keep the system in the proper parameter value and improve the adaptive ability of the system. The response characteristics and effectiveness of clamping force under step braking condition, gear switching braking condition and sine braking condition are verified by simulation experiments using MATLAB/Simulink. The results show that the proposed VUF-PID control method has strong tracking characteristics and stability characteristics, and meet the braking requirements under different braking conditions. Abstract

Suspension system is one of the key parts of vehicle, the performance of suspension system has great influence on vehicle handling stability and safety. In order to improve the performance of suspension system, the Macpherson suspension of a vehicle is taken as the research object, the suspension model is established by ADAMS/Car, and carried out parallel wheel travel simulation to analyze the key parameters variation of camber angle, toe angle, caster angle, kingpin inclination angle and scrub radius. Simulation results show that camber angle and scrub radius are beyond normal design range and require optimization. Wheel alignment parameters are determined by sensitivity analysis, and optimized by ADAMS/Insight. Then carried out simulation to analyze the performance of optimized suspension system. Results show that optimized suspension system satisfies the requirements of vehicle stability and safety.

Abstract

In order to improve the reliability and stability of hybrid electric vehicle driving motor system, according to the performance parameters of the hybrid electric vehicle, the driving motor system is designed and analyzed for the hybrid electric vehicle. Based on the performance parameters of the hybrid electric vehicle, the power parameters of the permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) are calculated and determined, then the parameters of the stator core, the permanent magnet and the rotor core are designed and calculated, as well as other main characteristic parameters of the driving motor system are calculated. The model of a PMSM is established and simulated by ANSOFT Maxwell according to the obtained motor parameters, and then the steady state and transient state of the driving motor are simulated in different working points, and the electromagnetic and performance curves are combined to determine the overall performance requirements of the driving motor, which can be used to match the hybrid electric vehicle. The simulation results show that the designed PMSM can be used to match the hybrid electric vehicle and meet the performance requirements of the vehicle. The final simulation analysis results are in good agreement with the theoretical calculation results, which indicates that this method can be used to afford a theoretical basis to reduce the cogging torque and optimize the in-wheel motor of electric vehicle in the future.

Abstract

In order to eliminate excessive slip phenomenon of driving wheels during the driving process for distributed driving electric vehicle, an acceleration slip regulation strategy is analyzed and proposed. Based on Burckhardt tire model, a real-time road estimator is designed, which can obtain the current road attachment coefficient and the optimum slip rate. The torque fuzzy controller is designed, which can adjust the driving torque of each driving wheel. Then it comes to a better realization of the vehicle slip rate accurate control, and the slip rate of each driving wheel can be change within the optimum slip rate range. Study results indicate that the acceleration slip regulation strategy is an effective way to improve the dynamic performance and stability of the distributed driving electric vehicle in this paper.

Abstract

Neutron-induced uranium fission reactions play an essential role in advanced nuclear energy research, basic and applied nuclear science. Based on the China Spallation Neutron Source (CSNS) Back-streaming white neutron source (Back-n), the measurement of the 236,238U fission cross sections relative to 235U from the threshold to 200 MeV was carried out by using time-of-flight (TOF) method with a multi-cell fast fission ionization chamber in double-bunch mode. The TOF spectra in double-bunch mode were unfolded by using Bayesian method. The fission cross section ratios of 238U/235U and 236U/235U were obtained. The experimental data of the 236,238U/235U fission cross section ratios measured in single-bunch mode were re-analyzed in high energy region and the upper limit was extended to 200 MeV for comparison. The experimental results in double-bunch mode are in good agreement with those in single-bunch mode and the main evaluation data within experimental uncertainties. The 236,238U(n,f) cross sections were obtained from the measured ratios and the standard 235U(n,f) cross sections and they agree well with the theoretical calculation, previous experiments, main evaluations and IAEA NDS. Abstract

To cope with the challenges of inadequate precision and weak robustness of tire–road friction coefficient (TRFC) and vehicle state estimation under mixed Gaussian noise circumstances, this research puts forward a method combining maximum correntropy criterion (MCC) and generalized high-degree cubature Kalman filter (GHCKF). A coupled lateral and longitudinal vehicle model and the Dugoff tire model are established. The vehicle mass is estimated using the recursive least squares approach based on a forgetting factor (FFRLS). Low-cost onboard sensors are utilized to design observers for vehicle state and TRFC. The observers’ effectiveness is tested by Carsim/Simulink co-simulation tests under the conditions of sine steering input and steering wheel angle step input. The research results indicate that in handling mixed Gaussian noise environments, maximum correntropy generalized high-degree cubature Kalman filter (MCGHCKF) method outperforms maximum correntropy cubature Kalman filter (MCCKF), GHCKF, and cubature Kalman filter (CKF) methods concerning robustness and estimation accuracy, providing stable and reliable support for systems of vehicle active safety control. Abstract

In view of the narrow installation space of high power density and high torque in-wheel motor, the heat existed the in-wheel motor is balanced by cooling water channel to ensure the heat dissipation of the high power density in-wheel motor. In this paper, Ansoft Maxwell software is used to establish the two-dimensional loss simulation model of in-wheel motor, and the winding loss, stator core loss, rotor core loss and permanent magnet eddy current loss of in-wheel motor are calculated respectively. The temperature field calculation model of in-wheel motor is established. The heat exchange coefficient of motor is calculated, and the equivalent treatment of windings is carried out. The spiral channel is selected to cool the motor. The CFD software is used to simulate and analyze the cooling fluid in the channel. The heat dissipation coefficient curve is calculated. Finally, the calculated results of in-wheel motor loss and heat dissipation coefficient curve are imported into the transient temperature field for simulation, and the temperature field distributions before cooling and after cooling are obtained. The results show that the temperature drop of winding is 32%, the temperature drop of stator core is 30%, the temperature drop of permanent magnet is 26%, and the temperature drop of rotor is 25%. The spiral channel structure adopted in this paper is reasonable and feasible, which provides a certain theoretical reference value for the research and development of in-wheel motor heat dissipation system.

92. A multi-closed loop pressure control in electro-hydraulic brake system for electric vehicle

Abstract

To validate and further improve the performance of pressure-building of an electro-hydraulic brake (EHB) system for electric vehicle, a simplified EHB framework based on permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is proposed in this paper. Except for the control logic, the hydraulic brake actuator in the proposed EHB system is analysed and modelled in AMESim. Then, the output characteristics of the hydraulic brake actuator model are studied and analysed, which prove the validity of the actuator model established in AMESim. Then, the hydraulic brake actuator based on the PMSM is analysed and modelled in Simulink. Then, according to the models of the hydraulic actuator, a multi-closed loop pressure control strategy is proposed and is applied in the co-simulation based on AMESim and Simulink. The research and simulation results show that the average pressure of the front and rear brake wheel cylinders can reach the target within 0.2 s, and the PMSM output rotate speed tracks the target well. The multi-closed loop pressure control strategy proposed in this paper shows a faster response in pressure-building, which can be regarded as a significant advantage of electro-hydraulic brake system.

Abstract

Suspension system is one of the key parts of vehicle, the performance of suspension system has great influence on vehicle handling stability and safety. In order to improve the performance of suspension system, the Macpherson suspension of a vehicle is taken as the research object, the suspension model is established by ADAMS/Car, and carried out parallel wheel travel simulation to analyze the key parameters variation of camber angle, toe angle, caster angle, kingpin inclination angle and scrub radius. Simulation results show that camber angle and scrub radius are beyond normal design range and require optimization. Wheel alignment parameters are determined by sensitivity analysis, and optimized by ADAMS/Insight. Then carried out simulation to analyze the performance of optimized suspension system. Results show that optimized suspension system satisfies the requirements of vehicle stability and safety.

Abstract

In order to improve the reliability and stability of hybrid electric vehicle driving motor system, according to the performance parameters of the hybrid electric vehicle, the driving motor system is designed and analyzed for the hybrid electric vehicle. Based on the performance parameters of the hybrid electric vehicle, the power parameters of the permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) are calculated and determined, then the parameters of the stator core, the permanent magnet and the rotor core are designed and calculated, as well as other main characteristic parameters of the driving motor system are calculated. The model of a PMSM is established and simulated by ANSOFT Maxwell according to the obtained motor parameters, and then the steady state and transient state of the driving motor are simulated in different working points, and the electromagnetic and performance curves are combined to determine the overall performance requirements of the driving motor, which can be used to match the hybrid electric vehicle. The simulation results show that the designed PMSM can be used to match the hybrid electric vehicle and meet the performance requirements of the vehicle. The final simulation analysis results are in good agreement with the theoretical calculation results, which indicates that this method can be used to afford a theoretical basis to reduce the cogging torque and optimize the in-wheel motor of electric vehicle in the future.
