Abstract

In recent years, with the development of social economy, cold chain logistics has developed rapidly in China. Fresh agricultural products are one of the main objects of cold chain logistics. Cold chain logistics is closely related to the production, processing, transportation and sales of fresh agricultural products. Sichuan Province has a good agricultural industry base and is the third largest grain producing province in China. However, the level of cold chain logistics of fresh agricultural products in the province is not high and needs to be further improved. In order to make the development of cold chain logistics of fresh agricultural products in Sichuan Province more perfect, a set of cold chain logistics evaluation index system was established, and the relevant data of Sichuan Province from 2015 to 2020 were used to study the influencing factors of its development by using the grey correlation model.

Abstract

Detecting respiration rate (RR) is a promising and practical heat stress diagnostic method for cows, with significant potential benefits for dairy operations in monitoring thermal conditions and managing cooling treatments. Currently, the optical flow method is widely employed for automatic video-based RR estimation. However, the optical flow-based approach for RR estimation can be time-consuming and susceptible to interference from various unrelated cow movements, such as rising, lying down, and body shaking. The aim of this study was to propose a novel optical flow-based algorithm for remotely and rapidly detecting the respiration rate of cows in free stalls. To accomplish this, we initially collected 250 sixty-second video episodes from a commercial dairy farm, which included some episodes with interfering motions. We manually observed the respiration rate for each episode, considering it as the ground truth RR. The analysis revealed that certain cow movements, including posture changes and body shaking, introduced noise that compromises the precision of RR detection. To address this issue, we implemented noise filters, with the Butterworth filter proving highly effective in mitigating noise resulting from cow movements. The selection of the region of interest was found to have a substantial impact on the accuracy of RR detection. Opting for the central region was recommended for optimal results. The comparison between the RR estimated by the modified cow respiration rate (MCRR) algorithm and the ground truth RR showed a good agreement with a mean absolute relative error of 7.6 ± 8.9% and a Pearson correlation coefficient of 0.86. Additionally, the results also indicated that reducing the original frame rate from 25 to 5 frames per second and adjusting the image pixel size from 630 × 450 to 79 × 57 pixels notably reduced computational time from 39.8 to 2.8 s, albeit with a slight increase in mean absolute relative error to 8.0 ± 9.0%. 95. Effect and Mechanism of Different Surfactants on the Stability of the Al/JP-10 Nanofluid Fuel System

Abstract

Al/JP-10 nanofluid fuel is a novel energetic blended fuel with a high application prospect, but it suffers from agglomeration and sedimentation during the storage process. To improve the stability of Al/JP-10 nanofluid fuel systems, aluminum nanoparticles modified with different surfactants were prepared by a liquid-phase reflux method. The stability of the fuel systems was characterized based on the sedimentation method, while the isothermal adsorption process and adsorption energy of surfactants on the surface of the aluminum nanoparticles were simulated using a molecular dynamics approach. The effects of the carbon chain length, unsaturated bonding, and adsorbent structure of surfactant molecules on the stability of the fuel system were examined for the first time from a molecular perspective. The adsorbent structure had the most significant effect on the stability of the fuel system, followed by the unsaturated bond. A cross-sectional comparison of commonly used Span-system surfactants revealed that Span-65-modified aluminum nanoparticles (1 wt %) were highly stable, and no significant settling was observed within 4 weeks of stabilization. The mechanism by which Span-65 improves the stability of the fuel system is proposed.

96. Clinical efficacy of laparoscopic modified loop cholecystojejunostomy for the treatment of malignant obstructive jaundice

Abstract

Objective This study was performed to summarize our experience and investigate the safety and efficacy of laparoscopic modified loop cholecystojejunostomy for the treatment of malignant obstructive jaundice.Methods Thirteen patients with malignant obstructive jaundice who underwent laparoscopic modified loop cholecystojejunostomy from March 2015 to March 2016 were retrospectively reviewed. The patients’ characteristics, operation time, postoperative intestinal recovery time, length of hospital stay, postoperative bilirubin level, and complications were analyzed.Results The patients were followed up as outpatients for 2 years. Nine patients with pancreatic head carcinoma, one patient with periampullary carcinoma, and three patients with distal bile duct carcinoma successfully underwent laparoscopic modified loop cholecystojejunostomy. The mean operation time was 176 ± 45 minutes, and the mean length of hospital stay was 9.5 ± 2.8 days. The serum total bilirubin concentration and gamma-glutamyl transferase concentration significantly decreased on postoperative day 7. The median follow-up time was 7 months. No patients developed bile leakage or required a reoperation.Conclusions Laparoscopic modified loop cholecystojejunostomy is not only safe and minimally invasive, but it is also feasible for patients with malignant obstructive jaundice.

Abstract

Neural tube defects (NTDs) represent a developmental disorder of the nervous system that can lead to significant disability in children and impose substantial social burdens. Valproic acid (VPA), a widely prescribed first-line antiepileptic drug for epilepsy and various neurological conditions, has been associated with a 4-fold increase in the risk of NTDs when used during pregnancy. Consequently, urgent efforts are required to identify innovative prevention and treatment approaches for VPA-induced NTDs. Studies have demonstrated that the disruption in the delicate balance between cell proliferation and apoptosis is a crucial factor contributing to NTDs induced by VPA. Encouragingly, our current data reveal that melatonin (MT) significantly inhibits apoptosis while promoting the restoration of neuroepithelial cell proliferation impaired by VPA. Moreover, further investigations demonstrate that MT substantially reduces the incidence of neural tube malformations resulted from VPA exposure, primarily by suppressing apoptosis through the modulation of intracellular reactive oxygen species levels. In addition, the Src/PI3K/ERK signaling pathway appears to play a pivotal role in VPA-induced NTDs, with significant inhibition observed in the affected samples. Notably, MT treatment successfully reinstates Src/PI3K/ERK signaling, thereby offering a potential underlying mechanism for the protective effects of MT against VPA-induced NTDs. In summary, our current study substantiates the considerable protective potential of MT in mitigating VPA-triggered NTDs, thereby offering valuable strategies for the clinical management of VPA-related birth defects.
