Learning is a multifaceted process involving acquiring knowledge, skills, abilities, and dispositions. The execution of a curriculum, as it pertains to how students engage with and master subject matter, has progressed beyond the standards-based accountability reforms of the 1980s. It now encompasses more than achieving behavioral change as a singular outcome in learning experiences. The traditional Skinnerian learning objectives have given way to the contemporary lens of critical pedagogy, emphasizing the learner's perspective, including critical race theory, feminism, and trauma-informed pedagogy. Regrettably, many accrediting bodies rely on standardized criteria as learning outcomes without considering the context or culture. In this paper, we argue that for learning to be transformative, we need to embrace integrated curricular models, which are essential and complex dimensions for learning across the lifespan. Because learning is situated, contextually grounded, and culturally relevant, our approach must transcend any single subdiscipline of kinesiology. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
