Goal 1 of the National Academies of Science, Engineering and Mathematics Exoplanet Science Strategy is "to understand the formation and evolution of planetary systems as products of the process of star formation, and characterize and explain the diversity of planetary system architectures, planetary compositions, and planetary environments produced by these processes", with the finding that "Current knowledge of the demographics and characteristics of planets and their systems is substantially incomplete." One significant roadblock to our ongoing efforts to improve our demographics analyses is the lack of comprehensive meta-data accompanying published exoplanet surveys. The Exoplanet Program Analysis Group (ExoPAG) Science Interest Group 2: Exoplanet Demographics has prepared this document to provide guidance to survey architects, authors, referees and funding agencies as to the most valuable such data products for five different exoplanet detection techniques - transit, radial velocity, direct imaging, microlensing and astrometry. For a century, clinical X-ray imaging has visualised only the attenuation properties of tissue, which fundamentally limits the contrast, particularly in soft tissues like the breast. Imaging based on refraction can overcome this limitation, but so far has been constrained to high-dose ex-vivo applications or required highly coherent X-ray sources, like synchrotrons. It has been predicted that grating interferometry (GI) could eventually allow computed tomography (CT) to be more dose-efficient. However, the benefit of refraction in clinical CT has not been demonstrated so far. Here we show that GI-CT is more dose-efficient in imaging of breast tissue than conventional CT. Our system, based on a 70kVp X-ray tube source and commercially available gratings, demonstrated superior quality, in terms of adipose-to-glandular tissue contrast-to-noise ratio (CNR), of refraction-contrast compared to the attenuation images. The fusion of the two modes of contrast outperformed conventional CT for spatial resolutions better than 263{\mu}m and an average dose to the breast of 16mGy, which is in the clinical breast CT range. Our results show that grating interferometry can significantly reduce the dose, while maintaining the image quality, in diagnostic breast CT. Unlike conventional absorption-based CT, the sensitivity of refraction-based imaging is far from being fully exploited, and further progress will lead to significant improvements of clinical X-ray CT.

Protoplanets formed in a marginally gravitationally unstable (MGU) disk by either core accretion or disk instability will be subject to dynamical interactions with massive spiral arms, possibly resulting in inward or outward orbital migration, mergers with each other, or even outright ejection from the protoplanetary system. The latter process has been hypothesized as a possible formation scenario for the unexpectedly high frequency of unbound gas giant exoplanets (free floating planets, FFP). Previous calculations with the EDTONS fixed grid three dimensional (3D) hydrodynamics code found that protoplanets with masses from 0.01 $M_\oplus$ to 3 $M_{Jup}$ could undergo chaotic orbital evolutions in MGU disks for $\sim$ 1000 yrs without undergoing monotonic inward or outward migration. Here the Enzo 2.5 adaptive mesh refinement (AMR) 3D hydrodynamics code is used to follow the formation and orbital evolution of protoplanets in MGU disks for up to 2000 yrs. The Enzo results confirm the basic disk fragmentation results of the EDTONS code, as well as the absence of monotonic inward or outward orbital migration. In addition, Enzo allows protoplanet mergers to occur, unlike EDTONS, resulting in a significant decrease in the number of protoplanets that survive for 1000 to 2000 yrs in the Enzo models. These models also imply that gas giants should be ejected frequently in MGU disks that fragment into large numbers of protoplanets, supporting ejection as a possible source mechanism for the observed FFPs., Comment: 27 pages, 10 figures, 2 tables, in press, Astrophysical Journal

Systems engineering, in particular in the automotive domain, needs to cope with the massively increasing numbers of requirements that arise during the development process. To guarantee a high product quality and make sure that functional safety standards such as ISO26262 are fulfilled, the exploitation of potentials of model-driven systems engineering in the form of automatic analyses, consistency checks, and tracing mechanisms is indispensable. However, the language in which requirements are written, and the tools needed to operate on them, are highly individual and require domain-specific tailoring. This hinders automated processing of requirements as well as the linking of requirements to models. Introducing formal requirement notations in existing projects leads to the challenge of translating masses of requirements and process changes on the one hand and to the necessity of the corresponding training for the requirements engineers. In this paper, based on the analysis of an open-source set of automotive requirements, we derive domain-specific language constructs helping us to avoid ambiguities in requirements and increase the level of formality. The main contribution is the adoption and evaluation of few-shot learning with large pretrained language models for the automated translation of informal requirements to structured languages such as a requirement DSL. We show that support sets of less than ten translation examples can suffice to few-shot train a language model to incorporate keywords and implement syntactic rules into informal natural language requirements.

We present the discovery of TOI-5205~b, a transiting Jovian planet orbiting a solar metallicity M4V star, which was discovered using Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite photometry and then confirmed using a combination of precise radial velocities, ground-based photometry, spectra, and speckle imaging. TOI-5205~b has one of the highest mass ratios for M dwarf planets with a mass ratio of almost 0.3$\%$, as it orbits a host star that is just $0.392 \pm 0.015$ \solmass{}. Its planetary radius is $1.03 \pm 0.03~R_J$, while the mass is $1.08 \pm 0.06~M_J$. Additionally, the large size of the planet orbiting a small star results in a transit depth of $\sim 7\%$, making it one of the deepest transits of a confirmed exoplanet orbiting a main-sequence star. The large transit depth makes TOI-5205~b a compelling target to probe its atmospheric properties, as a means of tracing the potential formation pathways. While there have been radial-velocity-only discoveries of giant planets around mid-M dwarfs, this is the first transiting Jupiter with a mass measurement discovered around such a low-mass host star.
