GRB 221009A is the brightest Gamma-Ray Burst (GRB) detected in more than 50 years of study. In this paper, we present observations in the X-ray and optical domains after the GRB obtained by the GRANDMA Collaboration (which includes observations from more than 30 professional and amateur telescopes) and the Insight-HXMT Collaboration. We study the optical afterglow with empirical fitting from GRANDMA+HXMT data, augmented with data from the literature up to 60 days. We then model numerically, using a Bayesian approach, the GRANDMA and HXMT-LE afterglow observations, that we augment with Swift-XRT and additional optical/NIR observations reported in the literature. We find that the GRB afterglow, extinguished by a large dust column, is most likely behind a combination of a large Milky-Way dust column combined with moderate low-metallicity dust in the host galaxy. Using the GRANDMA+HXMT-LE+XRT dataset, we find that the simplest model, where the observed afterglow is produced by synchrotron radiation at the forward external shock during the deceleration of a top-hat relativistic jet by a uniform medium, fits the multi-wavelength observations only moderately well, with a tension between the observed temporal and spectral evolution. This tension is confirmed when using the extended dataset. We find that the consideration of a jet structure (Gaussian or power-law), the inclusion of synchrotron self-Compton emission, or the presence of an underlying supernova do not improve the predictions, showing that the modelling of GRB22109A will require going beyond the most standard GRB afterglow model. Placed in the global context of GRB optical afterglows, we find the afterglow of GRB 221009A is luminous but not extraordinarily so, highlighting that some aspects of this GRB do not deviate from the global known sample despite its extreme energetics and the peculiar afterglow evolution., Comment: Accepted to ApJL for the special issue, 37 pages, 23 pages main text, 6 tables, 13 figures

A recent result of S.-Y. Lee and M. Yang states that the planar orthogonal polynomials orthogonal with respect to a modified Gaussian measure are multiple orthogonal polynomials of type II on a contour in the complex plane. We show that the same polynomials are also type I orthogonal polynomials on a contour, provided the exponents in the weight are integer. From this orthogonality, we derive several equivalent Riemann-Hilbert problems. The proof is based on the fundamental identity of Lee and Yang, which we establish using a new technique.

We are interested in finding combinatorial criteria for embedding graphs into torus and using them in the embedding check algorithm. It is a well-known fact that any connected graph can be reduced to a one-vertex graph with loops and is homotopy equivalent to such a graph. If a connected graph has intersection of some edges, then some loops of one-vertex graph will also intersect. Therefore the problem of embedding graphs into some surface is equivalent to the question of embedding one-vertex graph in given surface. This paper considers a graph with rotations or rotation system called hieroglyph. The equivalence of four conditions is proved: (1) embedding hieroglyph into torus; (2) the absence of forbidden subgraphs in a hieroglyph; (3) some condition for the graph of loops; (4) the existence of a reduction of hieroglyph to one of the list of hieroglyphs. GRANDMA is a world-wide collaboration with the primary scientific goal of studying gravitational-wave sources, discovering their electromagnetic counterparts and characterizing their emission. GRANDMA involves astronomers, astrophysicists, gravitational-wave physicists, and theorists. GRANDMA is now a truly global network of telescopes, with (so far) 30 telescopes in both hemispheres. It incorporates a citizen science programme (Kilonova-Catcher) which constitutes an opportunity to spread the interest in time-domain astronomy. The telescope network is an heterogeneous set of already-existing observing facilities that operate coordinated as a single observatory. Within the network there are wide-field imagers that can observe large areas of the sky to search for optical counterparts, narrow-field instruments that do targeted searches within a predefined list of host-galaxy candidates, and larger telescopes that are devoted to characterization and follow-up of the identified counterparts. Here we present an overview of GRANDMA after the third observing run of the LIGO/VIRGO gravitational-wave observatories in $2019-2020$ and its ongoing preparation for the forthcoming fourth observational campaign (O4). We investigated the possibility of the homogeneous and isotropic cosmological solution in Weyl geometry, which differs from the Riemannian geometry by adding the so called Weyl vector. The Weyl gravity is obtained by constructing the gravitational Lagrangian both to be quadratic in curvatures and conformal invariant. It is found that such solution may exist provided there exists the direct interaction between the Weyl vector and the matter fields. Assuming the matter Lagrangian is that of the perfect fluid, we found how such an interaction can be implemented. Due to the existence of quadratic curvature terms and the direct interaction the perfect fluid particles may be created straight from the vacuum, and we found the expression for the rate of their production which appeared to be conformal invariant. In the case of creating the universe ``from nothing'' in the vacuum state, we investigated the problem, whether this vacuum may persist or not. It is shown that the vacuum may persist with respect to producing the non-dust matter (with positive pressure), but cannot resist to producing the dust particles. These particles, being non-interactive, may be considered as the candidates for dark matter., Comment: 18 pages

The homogeneous and isotropic cosmological model in the Weyl conformal geometry is considered. We showed that, despite the conformal invariance, the dust matter is allowed in such a universe. It is shown that the number of dust particles is not conserved, i. e., they are continuously produced. The general form of the law for their creation is found., Comment: 10 pages

We present our follow-up observations with GRANDMA of transient sources revealed by the Zwicky Transient Facility (ZTF). Over a period of six months, all ZTF triggers were examined in real time by a dedicated science module implemented in the Fink broker, which will be used for the data processing of the Vera C. Rubin Observatory. In this article, we present three selection methods to identify kilonova candidates. Out of more than 35 million candidates, a hundred sources have passed our selection criteria. Six were then followed-up by GRANDMA (by both professional and amateur astronomers). The majority were finally classified either as asteroids or as supernovae events. We mobilized 37 telescopes, bringing together a large sample of images, taken under various conditions and quality. To complement the orphan kilonova candidates (those without associated gamma-ray bursts, which were all), we included three additional supernovae alerts to conduct further observations of during summer 2021. We demonstrate the importance of the amateur astronomer community that contributed images for scientific analyzes of new sources discovered in a magnitude range r'=17-19 mag. We based our rapid kilonova classification on the decay rate of the optical source that should exceed 0.3 mag/day. GRANDMA's follow-up determined the fading rate within 1.5+/-1.2 days post-discovery, without waiting for further observations from ZTF. No confirmed kilonovae were discovered during our observing campaign. Using the principle of least action, the motion equations for a singular hypersurface of arbitrary type in quadratic gravity are derived. Equations containing the "external pressure" and the "external flow" components of the surface energy-momentum tensor together with the Lichnerowicz conditions serve to find the hypersurface itself, while the remaining ones define arbitrary functions that arise due to the implicit presence of the delta function derivative. It turns out that neither double layers nor thin shells exist for the quadratic Gauss-Bonnet term. It is shown that there is no "external pressure" for null singular hypersurfaces. The Lichnerowicz conditions imply the continuity of the scalar curvature in the case of spherically symmetric null singular hypersurfaces. These hypersurfaces must be thin shells if the Lichnerowicz conditions are necessary. It is shown that for this particular case the Lichnerowicz conditions can be completely removed therefore a spherically symmetric null double layer exists. In this paper, conformal invariant gravitation, based on Weyl geometry, is considered. In addition to the gravitational and matter action integrals, the interaction between the Weyl vector (entered in Weyl geometry) and the vector, representing the world line of the independent observer, are introduced. Counterparts of the Dyson-Schwinger equations for scalar QED in an external electromagnetic field are derived. Exact structure and diagrammatic interpretation of the corresponding mass and polarization operators are obtained. The singular values of a product of $M$ independent Ginibre matrices of size $N\times N$ form a determinantal point process. Near the soft edge, as both $M$ and $N$ go to infinity in such a way that $M/N\to \alpha$, $\alpha>0$, a scaling limit emerges. We consider a gap probability for the corresponding limiting determinantal process, namely, the probability that there are no particles in the interval $(a,+\infty)$. We derive a Tracy-Widom-like formula in terms of the unique solution of a certain matrix Riemann-Hilbert problem of size $2 \times 2$. We investigated the possibility of construction the homogeneous and isotropic cosmological solutions in Weyl geometry. We derived the self-consistency condition which ensures the conformal invariance of the complete set of equations of motion. There is the special gauge in choosing the conformal factor when the Weyl vector equals zero. In this gauge we found new vacuum cosmological solutions absent in General Relativity. Also, we found new solution in Weyl geometry for the radiation dominated universe with the cosmological term, corresponding to the constant curvature scalar in our special gauge.
