Counter deception is one of the main content in data fusion. The existence of deceptive data may cause great hidden dangers to the generation of correct decisions. While among previous studies, whether evidence should aggregate is still virgin and may become a fascinating question. In this paper, a new counter deception model based on the Shapley value methodology is proposed, which provides a perspective for determining the weight of evidence. Then, we present that the distance of evidence is a kind of “marginal contribution” to the anomaly of the entire fusion system. Moreover, we also investigated the properties of the proposed method to judge whether there is deceptive data in the information fusion based on the cooperation benefits of all basic belief assignment (BBA) combinations. Several numerical examples and a classification application were used to illustrate the practicability and effectiveness of the proposed methodology.

Classifier fusion remains an effective method to improve classification performance. In applications, the classifiers learnt using different attributes may work with various frames of discernment (FoD) of classification. There generally exist more or less complementary knowledge among these classifiers. However, how to efficiently combine such classifiers under different FoD is a challenging problem. In this article, we propose a new method for classifier fusion with different FoD based on the belief functions, which allow to well represent and deal with uncertain information. The credal transformation rules are developed to map the various FoD into a common one. It allows to transfer the probability (or mass of belief) of one class in the given FoD not only to several singleton classes but also to the metaclasses (i.e., disjunction of several classes) and the ignorance in other chosen FoD according to a transformation matrix, which is estimated based on the training (pairwise) data by minimizing a certain error criteria. Thus, we can well characterize the uncertainty and imprecision during the transformation of FoD. After that, the outputs of different classifiers represented by basic belief assignments (BBAs) can be transformed to a common FoD. Then, the well-known Dempster's rule is employed to combine these transformed BBA to obtain final classification result under the chosen FoD. Several real data sets are used in the experiment to evaluate the performance of the proposed method. Our experimental results show that this new method can efficiently improve the classification accuracy with respect to other related methods.

Zadanie oddzielenia nauki od naturalizmu metodologicznego wymaga porzucenia idei, że struktura wiedzy, czy też uzasadnione przekonanie, nie potrzebuje żadnego epistemicznego fundamentu i że uzasadnianie inferencyjne ma w nauce zdecydowanie wyższy status poznawczy niż uzasadnianie nieinferencyjne. W moim przekonaniu odwieczny problem nauki, a tym samym kryterium demarkacji, wiąże się z dwoma kwestiami. Po pierwsze, zakłada się, że tylko wiedza zdobywana inferencyjnie jest prawdziwie uzasadniona i, po drugie, że teorie muszą być — co najmniej — teoretycznie falsyfikowalne. W tym artykule zamierzam zaproponować kryterium demarkacji nauki pełniące praktyczną i heurystyczną rolę jako bodziec rozwoju nauki. Moja propozycja nie zakłada odgórnie mocy przyczynowej przypadku i konieczności, lecz zmusza naukowca do uznania ontologicznych cech przyrody i przyjęcia, że kwestia przyczynowości jest całkowicie otwarta. W ten sposób propozycja ta unika problemów, jakie na naukę nieubłaganie sprowadza naturalizm ontologiczny, a także jego wierny sprzymierzeniec — naturalizm metodologiczny.
