Objective: Work-life balance (WLB) is an essential precursor of workers’ mental health. The theory of rational emotive behaviour therapy proposes that an imbalance in work and family life may result from people's dysfunctional perceptions of their work and other aspects of their personal life. Also, the constructive philosophies of rational emotive behavior therapy are said to be congruent with most religious belief systems of Christian clients. Therefore, our research examined the efficacy of Christian religious rational emotive behaviour therapy (CRREBT) on WLB among administrative officers in Catholic primary schools. Methods: This is a group randomized trial involving 162 administrative officers from Catholic primary schools in Southeast Nigeria. The treatment process involved an 8-session CRREBT programme. Results: The scores for WLB of the administrative officers enrolled in the CRREBT programme were significantly improved compared to those in the control group at the end of the study. At the follow-up phase, the CRREBT programme proved to be effective over a 3-month period. Conclusion: CRREBT is an effective therapeutic strategy for managing WLB among Catholic school administrative officers.

This study was designed to determine the access to and utilization of online databases by postgraduate students of the faculties of education of the six foremost universities in Nigeria. The study sought to ascertain the online databases accessed by the most of the students, factors influencing regularity of access and constraints to access regular access to the databases. A total of 365 postgraduate students were randomly drawn from the six universities by proportional allocation for the study. Questionnaire was used to obtain relevant data which were analyzed using multiple responses and binary logistic regression. The most accessed online databases were Google Scholar, ResearchGate, JSTOR, Science DOAJ and EBSCOHost, motivated by free access and relevance to research interests. The documents were mainly used for postgraduate dissertation/thesis and assignments. Sex, degree in-view, free access, finance, personal laptop and Smartphone, and helpfulness of research materials significantly influenced regularity of access. The males are 0.963 times more likely to access online databases regularly than the females while the PhD students are 1.041 times more likely to access online databases more regularly than the other postgraduate categories. It is recommended that the universities should subscribe to notable online databases and improve on the quality of institution-based internet facility to boost access to and of online databases. Introduction: Impulsivity and compulsivity are natural behaviors controlled by brain mechanisms that are essential for survival in all species. Understanding these brain mechanisms may lead to targeted treatment strategies for these symptom domains when impulsivity and compulsivity become dysfunctional. Pathological impulsivity and compulsivity characterise a broad range of mental disorders. Objectives: This study aimed to synthesise the latest evidence about the conceptualization of the impulsivity-compulsivity spectrum. Methods: A review was conducted, drawing on reputable sources (PubMed and Web of Science databases). Results: The concept of impulsivity can be defined as a predisposition toward rapid, unplanned reactions to internal or external stimuli without regard to the negative consequences of these reactions to the impulsive individual or to others. However, impulsivity is not always unplanned. Impulsive behaviours can be conceptualised as the core symptoms of a broad range of psychiatric disorders. In contrast, compulsivity refers to repetitive behaviours that are performed according to certain rules or in a stereotypical fashion. Compulsivity is a tendency to repeat the same, often purposeless acts, which are sometimes associated with undesirable consequences. Impulsivity and compulsivity may be viewed as diametrically opposed, or alternatively, as similar, in that each implies a dysfunction of impulse control. Each involves alterations within a wide range of neural processes, including attention, perception, and coordination of motor or cognitive responses. Conclusions: The neurobiology of impulsivity and compulsivity may involve inhibitory neurotransmitters, excitatory neurotransmitters, the prefrontal cortex, and/or limbic dysfunction. Impulsive and compulsive features may present at the same time or at different times during the same illness. Although both compulsive and impulsive disorders may be related to prefrontal cortex dysfunction, compulsive disorders would be related to hyperactivity and impulsive disorders to hypoactivity of the prefrontal cortex. Compulsiveness appears to be associated with increased frontal lobe activity, while impulsiveness may be associated with reduced frontal lobe activity. OBJECTIVE: This study focused on the role of extended family in mitigating the stress experienced by parents of children with autism and the possible challenges of involving them, especially in modern Nigerian society. The study identified the sources of stress for parents of children with autism, and considered location and family size factors in stress experienced by parents, the role of the extended family in mitigating the stress and the challenges that may inhibit the involvement of the extended family. METHOD: The study adopted a descriptive survey research design and was carried out in South East, Nigeria. All parents and guardians of children with autism in the three special needs schools that cater for children with autism in the two selected states were used for the study. Data was collected using a self-report questionnaire with 36 items to elicit information on the sources of stress for parents and the role of the extended family in mitigating the stress. A semi-structured 26 items interview schedule adapted from Smithfield’s (2011) parents of children with autism questions covering the child's behaviour, parent's feelings, and role of the extended family was also used to generate firsthand information on the issues raised and to complement data collected through the self-report questionnaire. There was a researcher observation guide for monitoring progress in the study. Mean and standard deviation was used to answer the research questions while regression analysis, t-test and Analysis of variance were used to test the null hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. RESULTS: The findings revealed that parents of children with autism experience stress that is hinged basically on the behaviour of the children. Family size does not influence parents’ stress experience but location does. Some parents receive child care and/or financial help sometimes from extended family members. CONCLUSION: Parents of children with autism face a lot of stress that is hinged basically on the behaviour of the children. Some of the rural parents, however, have the opportunity of getting help sometimes from extended family members since special need schools are not located in their area or even nearby. The extended family relations sometimes offer financial help but from all indications, the modern urbanization has really eroded their help. Family size does not influence parents’ stress experience and role of extended family but location does.

OBJECTIVE: The study aimed to examine the effects of a video education intervention for HIV/AIDS awareness among school children and highlight the school management and administrative implications. METHOD: A quasi-experimental design was employed. One research question and one hypothesis were postulated for the study. The population of the study was 10,732 students and 3% sample of the population was used which is 300 students. The null hypothesis formulated at 0.05 level of significance was tested with repeated measures ANOVA. RESULTS: Results show significant increases from pretest to posttest on the level of HIV/AIDS awareness for participants in the treatment group, relative to control group participants. CONCLUSION: The video education intervention significantly increased HIV/AIDS awareness of students in the treatment group compared with those in the control group. The implication for school management and administration were highlighted. Conclusion and recommendations were made among which were that the non-governmental organization should assist in re-educating the youths on this global disease called HIV/AIDS.

BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVE: The debate about the interaction between the individual student and learning environment (home) is still ongoing and inconclusive. Parents are modelled and they establish basic patterns at home which may never stop as teens develop. This study investigated child-rearing patterns as predictors of in-school adolescents’ maladaptive behaviours in very low-income rural communities in Nigeria. METHOD: The study was a cross-sectional correlational survey. Two hundred and sixty-one parents and teachers in Enugu and Ebonyi States of Nigeria participated in the study. Teachers identified the students with Conners' Comprehensive Behavior Rating Scales (CBRS). Parents whose children were identified answered the Child Rearing Pattern Questionnaire (CRPQ). The validity of the instruments was ascertained by three experts. Pearson Product Moment Correlation was used to address the research questions, while the null hypotheses were analyzed using regression at an alpha level of significance of 0.05. RESULTS: Results revealed in-school adolescents in very low-income rural communities in Nigeria exhibit maladaptive behaviours. It was found that 4.7% of in-school adolescents’ maladaptive behaviours can be attributed to the authoritarian child-rearing pattern while 12% of maladaptive behaviours among in-school adolescents can be attributed to the authoritative child rearing pattern. Authoritative and authoritarian child-rearing patterns did not significantly predict the maladaptive behaviours of in-school adolescents from very low-income rural communities. CONCLUSION: The findings of this study highlight the need for researchers to check out whether and how several other factors in the school that may contribute significantly to in-school adolescents’ maladaptive behaviours such as peer influence, disciplinary measures, school environment and even curriculum and pedagogy.

BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVE: Research on the predictive capacity of emotional self-regulation on self-esteem and academic self-efficacy among children with visual impairment is limited. The present study investigated the predictive capacity of emotional self-regulation on self-esteem and academic self-efficacy among children with visual impairment in South-east Nigeria. METHOD: A predictive correlational research design was adopted for the study. The participants were 186 students with visual impairment in public schools in the study area. The data was obtained using the Emotional Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ), Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES), and Academic Self-Efficacy Scale (ASES). We applied multiple stepwise linear regression analysis for data analysis. RESULTS: Results show that ERQ reappraisal and ERQ suppression are independent predictors of RSES. The ESRQ combined scores significantly predicted RSES. The standardized coefficient for the predictive capacity of the ERQ on RSES was -.464 (p=.000). The ERQ total score in collaboration with gender also predicted RSES. The ERQ reappraisal alone was a significant predictor of ASES, but ERQ suppression alone was not. The ERQ combined score did not significantly predict ASES. The standardized coefficient for the predictive capacity of the ERQ total score on ASES was -.108 (p=.164). The ERQ total score together with age significantly predicted ASES. But ERQ total score with parent’s educational background did not significantly predict ASES. CONCLUSION: Emotional self-regulation reappraisal and Emotional Self-regulation suppression as independent predictors consequently interact to lower the self-esteem and self-efficacy of children with visual impairment. It is pertinent to focus on and teach emotional self-regulation of students with visual impairment so as to boost their self-esteem and academic self-efficacy. This will help to reduce low self-esteem among the students with visual impairment and will also help to eliminate the negative emotional thoughts concomitant with disability.

The current paper presents the effort, in the EU AVATAR project, to establish the necessary requirements to obtain consistent lift over drag ratios among seven CFD codes. The flow around a 2D airfoil case is studied, for both transitional and fully turbulent conditions at Reynolds numbers of 3 × 106 and 15 × 106. The necessary grid resolution, domain size, and iterative convergence criteria to have consistent results are discussed, and suggestions are given for best practice. For the fully turbulent results four out of seven codes provide consistent results. For the laminar-turbulent transitional results only three out of seven provided results, and the agreement is generally lower than for the fully turbulent case.

Introduction The use of anti-retroviral therapy (ART) has dramatically reduced HIV-1 associated morbidity and mortality. However, HIV-1 infected individuals have increased rates of morbidity and mortality compared to the non-HIV-1 infected population and this appears to be related to end-organ diseases collectively referred to as Serious Non-AIDS Events (SNAEs). Circulating miRNAs are reported as promising biomarkers for a number of human disease conditions including those that constitute SNAEs. Our study sought to investigate the potential of selected miRNAs in predicting mortality in HIV-1 infected ART treated individuals. Materials and Methods A set of miRNAs was chosen based on published associations with human disease conditions that constitute SNAEs. This case: control study compared 126 cases (individuals who died whilst on therapy), and 247 matched controls (individuals who remained alive). Cases and controls were ART treated participants of two pivotal HIV-1 trials. The relative abundance of each miRNA in serum was measured, by RTqPCR. Associations with mortality (all-cause, cardiovascular and malignancy) were assessed by logistic regression analysis. Correlations between miRNAs and CD4+ T cell count, hs-CRP, IL-6 and D-dimer were also assessed. Results None of the selected miRNAs was associated with all-cause, cardiovascular or malignancy mortality. The levels of three miRNAs (miRs -21, -122 and -200a) correlated with IL-6 while miR-21 also correlated with D-dimer. Additionally, the abundance of miRs -31, -150 and -223, correlated with baseline CD4+ T cell count while the same three miRNAs plus miR-145 correlated with nadir CD4+ T cell count. Discussion No associations with mortality were found with any circulating miRNA studied. These results cast doubt onto the effectiveness of circulating miRNA as early predictors of mortality or the major underlying diseases that contribute to mortality in participants treated for HIV-1 infection.

- Abstract
Tubular elements are used in steel structures not only for bracing of other members but also as cross girders diaphragms. They are a competitive solution both due to the lightweight and structural efficiency. Slotted tube-to-plate connections are the natural and most common choice. However, fatigue design of the abrupt transition and differences in the stiffness corresponding to the welded connection, is a critical part of the design. Although such a fatigue connection is classified in different standards (e.g. EN1993-1-9, IIW recommendations), no guidance is given on the specific detailing. In this paper, the existing fatigue datasets for this connection are reviewed. An assessment of the different fatigue details constituting the connection (welds end, hole, etc.) using FEM models and the notch stress method is then made. The results are compared with the experiments and recommendations are issued in order to achieve the best fatigue performance.

Background Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a major health issue for HIV-positive individuals, associated with increased morbidity and mortality. Development and implementation of a risk score model for CKD would allow comparison of the risks and benefits of adding potentially nephrotoxic antiretrovirals to a treatment regimen and would identify those at greatest risk of CKD. The aims of this study were to develop a simple, externally validated, and widely applicable long-term risk score model for CKD in HIV-positive individuals that can guide decision making in clinical practice. Methods and Findings A total of 17,954 HIV-positive individuals from the Data Collection on Adverse Events of Anti-HIV Drugs (D:A:D) study with ≥3 estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) values after 1 January 2004 were included. Baseline was defined as the first eGFR > 60 ml/min/1.73 m2 after 1 January 2004; individuals with exposure to tenofovir, atazanavir, atazanavir/ritonavir, lopinavir/ritonavir, other boosted protease inhibitors before baseline were excluded. CKD was defined as confirmed (>3 mo apart) eGFR ≤ 60 ml/min/1.73 m2. Poisson regression was used to develop a risk score, externally validated on two independent cohorts. In the D:A:D study, 641 individuals developed CKD during 103,185 person-years of follow-up (PYFU; incidence 6.2/1,000 PYFU, 95% CI 5.7–6.7; median follow-up 6.1 y, range 0.3–9.1 y). Older age, intravenous drug use, hepatitis C coinfection, lower baseline eGFR, female gender, lower CD4 count nadir, hypertension, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease (CVD) predicted CKD. The adjusted incidence rate ratios of these nine categorical variables were scaled and summed to create the risk score. The median risk score at baseline was −2 (interquartile range –4 to 2). There was a 1:393 chance of developing CKD in the next 5 y in the low risk group (risk score < 0, 33 events), rising to 1:47 and 1:6 in the medium (risk score 0–4, 103 events) and high risk groups (risk score ≥ 5, 505 events), respectively. Number needed to harm (NNTH) at 5 y when starting unboosted atazanavir or lopinavir/ritonavir among those with a low risk score was 1,702 (95% CI 1,166–3,367); NNTH was 202 (95% CI 159–278) and 21 (95% CI 19–23), respectively, for those with a medium and high risk score. NNTH was 739 (95% CI 506–1462), 88 (95% CI 69–121), and 9 (95% CI 8–10) for those with a low, medium, and high risk score, respectively, starting tenofovir, atazanavir/ritonavir, or another boosted protease inhibitor. The Royal Free Hospital Clinic Cohort included 2,548 individuals, of whom 94 individuals developed CKD (3.7%) during 18,376 PYFU (median follow-up 7.4 y, range 0.3–12.7 y). Of 2,013 individuals included from the SMART/ESPRIT control arms, 32 individuals developed CKD (1.6%) during 8,452 PYFU (median follow-up 4.1 y, range 0.6–8.1 y). External validation showed that the risk score predicted well in these cohorts. Limitations of this study included limited data on race and no information on proteinuria. Conclusions Both traditional and HIV-related risk factors were predictive of CKD. These factors were used to develop a risk score for CKD in HIV infection, externally validated, that has direct clinical relevance for patients and clinicians to weigh the benefits of certain antiretrovirals against the risk of CKD and to identify those at greatest risk of CKD., Editors’ Summary Background About 35 million people are currently infected with HIV, the virus that causes AIDS. HIV destroys CD4 lymphocytes and other immune system cells, leaving infected individuals susceptible to other infections. HIV infection can be controlled, but not cured, using combination antiretroviral therapy (cART), and, nowadays, the life expectancy of many HIV-positive individuals is similar to that of HIV-negative people. HIV-positive individuals nevertheless experience some illnesses more frequently than HIV-negative people do. For example, up to a third of HIV-positive individuals develop chronic kidney disease (CKD), which is associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular disease and death. Persons with CKD may have an impaired effect of the filtration units in the kidneys that remove waste products and excess water from the blood to make urine, thereby leading to a reduced blood filtration rate (the estimated glomerular filtration rate [eGFR]) and waste product accumulation in the blood. Symptoms of CKD, which rarely occur until the disease is advanced, include tiredness, swollen feet, and frequent urination. Advanced stages of CKD cannot be cured, but its progression can be slowed by, for example, controlling hypertension (high blood pressure) and diabetes (two CDK risk factors) and by adopting a healthy lifestyle. Why Was This Study Done? The burden of CKD may increase among HIV-positive individuals as they age, and clinicians need to know which individuals are at high risk of developing CKD when choosing cART regimens for their patients. In addition, clinicians need to be able to identify those HIV-positive individuals at greatest risk of CKD so that they can monitor them for early signs of kidney disease. Some antiretroviral drugs—for example, tenofovir and atazanavir/ritonavir (a boosted protease inhibitor)—are associated with kidney damage. Clinicians may need to weigh the benefits and risks of giving such potentially nephrotoxic drugs to individuals who already have a high CKD risk. Here, the researchers develop and validate a simple, widely applicable risk score (a risk prediction model) for CKD among HIV-positive individuals and investigate the relationship between CKD and potentially nephrotoxic antiretroviral drugs among individuals with different CKD risk score profiles. What Did the Researchers Do and Find? To develop their CKD risk score, the researchers used clinical and demographic data collected from 17,954 HIV-positive individuals enrolled in the Data Collection on Adverse Events of Anti-HIV Drugs (D:A:D) study who had an eGFR > 60 ml/min/1.73 m2 and were not taking a potentially nephrotoxic antiretroviral at baseline. During 103,185 person-years of follow-up, 641 individuals developed CKD. Older age, intravenous drug use, hepatitis C coinfection, lower baseline eGFR, female gender, lower CD4 count nadir, hypertension, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease predicted CKD. The researchers included these nine factors in their risk score model (which is available online) and defined three risk groups: low (risk score < 0), medium (risk score 0–4), and high (risk score ≥ 5) risk of CKD development in the next five years. Specifically, there was a 1 in 393, 1 in 47, and 1 in 6 chance of developing CKD in the next five years in the low, medium, and high risk groups, respectively. Because some patients started to use potentially nephrotoxic antiretroviral drugs during follow-up, the researchers were able to use their risk score model to calculate how many patients would have to be treated with one of these drugs for an additional patient to develop CKD over five years in each risk group. This “number needed to harm” (NNTH) for patients starting treatment with tenofovir, atazanavir/ritonavir, or another boosted protease inhibitor was 739, 88, and 9 in the low, medium, and high risk groups, respectively. Finally, the researchers validated the accuracy of their risk score in two independent HIV study groups. What Do These Findings Mean? These findings provide a simple, validated risk score for CKD and indicate that the NNTH when starting potentially nephrotoxic antiretrovirals was low among HIV-positive individuals at the highest risk of CKD (i.e., treating just nine individuals with nephrotoxic antiretroviral drugs will likely lead to an additional case of CKD in five years). Although various aspects of the study, including the lack of data on race, limit the accuracy of these findings, these findings highlight the need for monitoring, screening, and chronic disease prevention to minimize the risk of HIV-positive individuals developing diabetes, hypertension, or cardiovascular disease, or becoming coinfected with hepatitis C, all of which contribute to the CKD risk score. Moreover, the development of a tool for estimating an individual’s five-year risk of developing CKD with or without the addition of potentially nephrotoxic antiretroviral drugs will enable clinicians and patients to weigh the benefits of certain antiretroviral drugs against the risk of CKD and make informed decisions about treatment options. New 1,8-naphthalimido derivatives with 2,3 and 4 carbon chains bearing a number of different functionalities were synthesized and tested against a panel of breast cancer MCF-7, colon cancer HCT-15 and pancreatic cancer BxPC-3 cell lines. Generally structures with shorter alkyl chains were more active, with the one exception of the amide containing a p-nitrophenyl group. GI50 values (µM) were determined for the most active compounds. Three compounds exhibited GI50 values below 5 µM, two with MCF-7 cells, and one other with HCT-15. Compounds with different functionalities demonstrated cell line specificity: the MCF-7 cell line was more sensitive to an urea derivative (6f), the growth of HCT15 cells were most affected by a triazole (9d), while the BxPC-3 cell line was inhibited in a higher extend by a guanidine (4a)., The research leading to these results has received funding from Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT)/Ministério da Educação e Ciência (MEC) cofounded by FEDER, partnership agreement PT2020, through the Research Unit No. 4293. - Abstract
Background: Candida albicans is an opportunistic pathogen responsible for non-life-threatening mucosal infections and is also a major cause of morbidity and mortality in immunosuppressed patients. While Candida infections can be treated with a variety of fungistatic antifungals, mortality rates from systemic candidiasis remain high. This fungi is capable of switching between various morphological forms including hyphae, associated with biofilm formation and tissue invasion, yeast, which is important for dissemination, the mating-competent opaque form and a commensal morphology that was recently observed in the gastro-intestinal tract. Methods: We immunized SJL and A/J mice with UV-killed hyphae, yeast or opaque C. albicans cells and used a ClonePixFL to select hybridoma clones that secrete immunoglobulins. These were then screened for anti-Candida monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) using an In-Cell ELISA assay. To date, we have produced 38 hybridoma cell lines and concentrated our characterization efforts on 23 mAbs that bind to live C. albicans cells. Results: Five mAbs recognize all morphological forms of C. albicans, 16 are hyphal-specific while 2 will only bind to opaque cells. In addition to C. albicans, 3 of the mAbs also recognize other fungal pathogens such as C. glabrata, C. tropicalis and C. dublininensis. All of the mAbs label the cell surface by immunofluorescence microscopy and 10 produce multiple bands or high-molecular weight smears in western blots. In order to narrow down the identity of mAb targets and to determine whether they recognize glycoproteins or glycans, we used the In-Cell ELISA assay to probe mannosylation (∆och1, ∆pmr1, ∆mnt1∆mnt2) and chitin synthase (∆chs2, ∆chs3, ∆chs8, ∆chs2∆chs8) mutants. We have also produced and probed reverse-phase protein microarrays spotted with total protein extracts from 2,357 GRACE C. albicans strains in the hyphal or yeast morphologies. In these strains, one gene copy is inactivated by insertional mutagenesis while the other allele is under the control of a repressible Tet-promoter. Conclusions: These assays allowed us to cluster the members of this mAb panel according to their target specificities and to prioritize them for future investigations aimed at evaluating their potential for therapeutic or diagnostic purposes., ISAAC 2014, 54th Interscience Conference on Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy, Sept. 5-9, 2014, Washington, D.C.

Background: The classification or index of heart failure severity in patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) was proposed by Killip and Kimball aiming at assessing the risk of in-hospital death and the potential benefit of specific management of care provided in Coronary Care Units (CCU) during the decade of 60. Objective: To validate the risk stratification of Killip classification in the long-term mortality and compare the prognostic value in patients with non-ST-segment elevation MI (NSTEMI) relative to patients with ST-segment elevation MI (STEMI), in the era of reperfusion and modern antithrombotic therapies. Methods: We evaluated 1906 patients with documented AMI and admitted to the CCU, from 1995 to 2011, with a mean follow-up of 05 years to assess total mortality. Kaplan-Meier (KM) curves were developed for comparison between survival distributions according to Killip class and NSTEMI versus STEMI. Cox proportional regression models were developed to determine the independent association between Killip class and mortality, with sensitivity analyses based on type of AMI. Results: The proportions of deaths and the KM survival distributions were significantly different across Killip class >1 (p 1 (p

- Abstract
Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a major health issue for HIV-positive individuals, associated with increased morbidity and mortality. A total of 17,954 HIV-positive individuals from the Data Collection on Adverse Events of Anti-HIV Drugs (D:A:D) study with ≥3 estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) values after 1 January 2004 were included. There was a 1:393 chance of developing CKD in the next 5 y in the low risk group (risk score < 0, 33 events), rising to 1:47 and 1:6 in the medium (risk score 0–4, 103 events) and high risk groups (risk score ≥ 5, 505 events)

In order to test the moderating role of corporate strategy and industry environment in the effect of liquidity on investment for Portuguese manufacturing firms, we developed a multiple linear regression model for panel data. It is a static model with three types of variables: financial; strategic/environmental; and interactive. The estimated model was validated through the Breusch-Pagan/Cook-Weisberg and Wald Modified tests (heteroscedasticity tests), Lagrange Multiplier (industry random effects test, using the two-digit National Classification of Economic Activities), Hausman robust test (fixed effects model vs. random effects model test) and likelihood-ratio test (joint effect of industry and time test). The statistical processing of the data revealed that a company’s strategy (diversification and innovation) and the industry environment (growth) moderate the effect of liquidity on investment, which can be explained by the effect of these factors on the cost of asymmetric information.
