Covid-19, which first appeared in Wuhan, China's Hubei province in December2019, spread all over the world in a short time, so it was accepted as a pandemic and variousrestrictions and regulations were made in order to prevent it. Since March 2020, the first casesbegan to be seen in Turkey and curfew restrictions were introduced without delay. As a resultof the curfew restrictions, the time spent at home has increased, and consequently, the energyconsumption in the houses has increased. In this study, the effect of the increase in the numberof covid-19 cases on electrical energy consumption in Turkey was discussed. For this purpose,firstly descriptive statistics of variables were included in the study, and then unit root tests wereapplied to understand whether the data were stationary or not. The Autoregressive DistributedLag (ARDL) model was used to determine the short and long-term relationships betweenelectrical energy consumption and the number of covid-19 cases. As a result of the analysis, astatistically significant relationship was not found between the number of Covid-19 cases andelectrical energy consumption in the short term, while a statistically significant positiverelationship was found between the exchange rate and electrical energy consumption. In thelong run, it is concluded that both variables have a direct relationship with electrical energyconsumption. Although it has been determined in most of the studies in the literature that theincrease in energy consumption leads to economic growth since it is known that the energyfactor is limited in nature, the society should be made conscious of using energy efficiently inorder to meet the increasing energy need, and alternative use of renewable energy sourcesshould be pursued.&nbsp

Sağlık sektörü, tıbbi hizmetler sağlayan, tıbbi ekipman veya ilaç üreten, sağlık sigortası imkanı veren veyahastalık halinde olan insanlara sağlık hizmeti sağlayan işletmelerden oluşur. Sağlığın korunmasına katkısağlayan sağlık sektörü aynı zamanda mal ve hizmetleri üreten, dağıtan ve tüketen değerler, standartlar,kurumlar ve aktörler olarak da ifade edilmektedir. Sağlık sektörü dünya genelinde kadınların hâkim olduğubir sektördür ve önemli bir istihdam alanını oluşturmaktadır. Bununla birlikte sağlık sektörü dünyanın en çokbüyüyen sektörü olmasının yanı sıra çoğu ülkenin GSYİH’sinin önemli bir bölümünü oluşturmakta oluptoplumun ve ekonominin en temel sektörlerinden birisi konumunda yer almaktadır. Özellikle son yıllardagelişmekte olan ülkeler sağlık sektörünün gelişimine yönelik önemli reformlar geliştirmektedir. Bu reformlarile sağlık sektörünün güçlendirilmesi ve ekonomik kalkınmaya katkı sağlanması hedeflenmektedir.Dolayısıyla sağlık sektörü günümüzde büyük önem taşımasıyla birlikte literatürde çok sayıda akademikçalışmaya konu olmuştur. Bu bağlamda çalışmanın temel amacı; TRA2 ve TRB2 bölgelerinde sağlıksektörünün genel görünümünü araştırmaktır. Çalışmada TÜİK’in 2007-2019 dönemine ait bölgeselistatistiksel verilerinden hareketle tablolar oluşturulmuştur. TRA2 ve TRB2 bölgeleri arasında sağlıkhizmetlerinin sunumu ve erişilmesi hususunda karşılaştırma yapılmıştır. Özellikle sağlık personelleri nicelikolarak söz konusu iki bölge bazında karşılaştırılmıştır. Çalışmada elde edilen bulgulara göre; TRA2 ve TRB2bölgesinde genel olarak sağlık sektörünün geliştiği ve TRB2 bölgesinin TRA2 bölgesine kıyasla daha çokgeliştiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Öte yandan TRB2 bölgesinin sağlık personelleri, hastane ve yatak sayısındaTRA2 bölgesine göre daha iyi durumda olduğu gözlemlenmiştir. Ayrıca bu çalışma ile söz konusubölgelerde sağlık sektörünün geliştirilmesine katkı sağlanması hedeflenmektedir. The health sector consists of businesses that provide medical services, manufacture medical equipment ordrugs, provide health insurance, or provide health care to people in a state of illness. The health sector, which contributes to the protection of health, is also expressed as values, standards, institutions, and actors thatproduce, distribute and consume goods and services. The health sector is a sector dominated by womenworldwide and constitutes an important area of employment. In addition to being the most growing sector inthe world, the health sector constitutes a significant part of the GDP of most countries and is one of the mostbasic sectors of society and economy. Especially in recent years, developing countries have been developingimportant reforms for the development of the health sector. With these reforms, it is aimed to strengthen thehealth sector and contribute to economic development. Therefore, the health sector has been the subject ofmany academic studies in the literature, with its great importance today. In this context, the main purpose ofthe study is to investigate the general outlook of the health sector in TRA2 and TRB2 regions. In the study,tables were created based on the regional statistical data of TURKSTAT for the period 2007-2019.Comparisons were made between the TRA2 and TRB2 regions in terms of the provision and access to healthservices. In particular, health personnel were compared quantitatively on the basis of these two regions.According to the findings obtained in the study; it has been concluded that the health sector has developed ingeneral in the TRA2 and TRB2 regions and the TRB2 region has developed more than the TRA2 region. Onthe other hand, it has been observed that the TRB2 region is in better condition than the TRA2 region in thenumber of health personnel, hospitals, and beds. In addition, this study aims to contribute to the developmentof the health sector in these regions.&nbsp

Günümüz dünyasında toplumları birbirinden ayıran en önemli unsur kalkınmışlıktır. Kalkınmakavramı, ekonomik, sosyal ve beşerî anlamda ifade edilen geniş bir kavramdır. Özellikle İkinciDünya Savaşı’ndan sonra daha popüler hale gelmiştir. Kalkınma kavramının birçok göstergesi(İnsani gelişme endeksi, beşerî sermaye, fiziki yaşam kalitesi endeksi vb.) olmakla birlikte dahaçok kişi başına gelir dağılımı ile ölçülmektedir. Kişi başına gelir dağılımındaki adaletsizliğinkaldırılması ekonomik kalkınmanın sağlanmasında önemli rol oynamaktadır. Gelir dağılımıadaletsizliğinin kaldırılmasıyla aynı zamanda yoksullukla da daha etkin bir şekilde mücadeleedilmiş olur. Çünkü yoksulluğun en önemli nedeni gelir dağılımındaki adaletsizliktir. Buyüzden ekonomik kalkınmanın en önemli amaçlarından biri de gelir dağılımındaki adaletisağlayarak yoksulluğu önlemektir. Yoksulluk, barınmadan beslenmeye, eğitimden sağlığakadar geniş bir mahrumiyeti kapsar. Günümüzde dünya ülkelerinin çoğunluğu ekonomikkalkınmanın sağlanmasıyla yoksulluğun önüne geçileceğini ifade etmektedirler. İstihdam veasgari istihdam politikalarındaki gelişmeler yoksulluğun sosyo-ekonomik anlamdaetkilenmesine neden olmaktadır. Yoksullaşan birey, hırsızlık, gasp, cinayet ve insan ticareti gibiyasa dışı faaliyetlere yönelmektedir. Bu yüzden yoksulluk, siyasi, ekonomik ve psikolojikyapıyı tehdit eden bir unsur haline gelmektedir. Yoksullukla mücadele etmenin en iyi yolueğitimdir. Eğitimli bireyler donanımlı olmakla birlikte nitelikli işlerde çalışabilmektedirler. Bubağlamda çalışmanın temel amacı; ekonomik kalkınma ve yoksulluk ilişkisini TRB2 ve TRA1bölgeleri için araştırmaktır. Ancak eşdeğerhane halkı kullanılabilir fert gelirine göre Gini Katsayısı’na bakıldığında TRB2 bölgesinde gelireşitsizliğinin daha fazla olduğu gözlemlenmiştir. Son olarak (2009 bazlı) kişi başına GSYİH’yabakıldığında TRA1 bölgesinde daha yüksek olduğu görülmektedir. Dolayısıyla ekonomikkalkınmanın sağlanmasında kişi başına gelir eşitliği önemli rol oynamakta olup yoksulluğunazalmasında çok önemli bir etkendir. In today's world, the most important factor that separates societies from each other isdevelopment. The concept of development is a broad concept expressed in the economic, social,and human sense. It became more popular, especially after the Second World War. Althoughthere are many indicators of the concept of development (human development index, humancapital, physical life quality index, etc.), it is mostly measured by income distribution per capita.Elimination of inequality in per capita income distribution plays an important role in ensuringeconomic development. With the removal of income inequality, poverty will also be combatedmore effectively. Because the most important cause of poverty is inequality in incomedistribution. Therefore, one of the most important goals of economic development is to preventpoverty by providing justice in income distribution. Poverty encompasses a wide range ofdeprivation, from shelter to food, from education to health. Today, most of the countries in theworld state that poverty will be prevented by providing economic development. Developmentsin employment and minimum employment policies cause poverty to be affected in socioeconomic terms. The impoverished individual tends to illegal activities such as theft, extortion,murder, and human trafficking. Therefore, poverty becomes an element that threatens thepolitical, economic, and psychological structure. The best way to combat poverty is througheducation. Although educated individuals are equipped, they can work in qualified jobs. In thiscontext, the main purpose of the study is; to investigate the relationship between economicdevelopment and poverty for TRB2 and TRA1 regions. In the study, tables were created andinterpreted based on the Regional Statistical Data of TURKSTAT. According to the findingsobtained in the study; It has been determined that poverty rates in the TRB2 region are lowerthan in the TRA1 region. However, when the Gini Coefficient is examined according to theequivalent household disposable income, it is observed that income inequality is higher in theTRB2 region. Finally, looking at GDP per capita (based on 2009), it is seen that it is higher inthe TRA1 region. Therefore, per capita income equality plays an important role in ensuringeconomic development and is a very important factor in reducing poverty.&nbsp

The purpose of this study was to investigate to what extent intermediate-level adult Turkish EFL learners are aware of lexical and grammatical functions of certain suffixes in English. The study further aimed at exploring the unique contribution of L2 morphological awareness to passage-level L2 reading comprehension above and beyond such reading-related factors as vocabulary knowledge, grammar knowledge and reading strategy use. The data were collected from 87 EFL learners through a Morphological Awareness Test, a Survey of Reading Strategies, and tests of reading comprehension, vocabulary, and grammar. Data analysis included descriptive statistics, paired samples t-test, hierarchical multiple regression, and bivariate regression. The results of the study revealed that the participants show at least moderate awareness of English word morphology, and they could judge whether a morphologically complex word comes from a simple word better than they identified the lexical and grammatical functions of certain derivational suffixes in English. The results further revealed that L2 morphological awareness does not make a direct contribution to L2 reading comprehension but it might make an indirect contribution to it via its significant contribution to L2 vocabulary knowledge

Rekabetteki bu artışa bağlı olarak tüketicide satın alma niyeti oluşturmaya yardımcı olması için markalar, tutundurma karması elemanlarından biri olan reklamı tercih etmektedir. Reklamlarda kullanılan imgeler aracılığıyla hedef kitlenin kararlarını etkilemek ve marka imajını güçlendirmek temel amacı oluşturmaktadır. Reklamlarda kullanılan imgelerden biri olan kadın imgesi, reklamların hatırlanmasına ve satışlarını artırmaya katkısı olduğu için sıklıkla işletmeler tarafından kullanılan bir yöntemdir. Belirtilen bu nedenlerden dolayı çalışmanın amacı, reklamlarda kullanılan kadın imgelerinin marka imajı ve satın alma niyeti üzerine etkisini incelemek olarak belirlenmiştir. Reklamlarda kadın imgesi kullanımının; marka imajı ve satın alma niyeti üzerinde etkisini ve bu kavramlar arasında ilişki olup olmadığını anlamak için anket uygulaması gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmanın örneklemi zaman, maliyet gibi temel kısıtlar nedeniyle Konya ili merkezi ile sınırlı tutulmuştur. Anketler kolayda örnekleme yöntemi ile 508 kişiye ulaşılarak cevaplandırılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda reklamlarda kadın imgesi kullanımının, marka imajı ve satın alma niyeti üzerinde etkisi olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır., Correspondingly with the increase in production, the number of brands is also increasing and these brands cause an increase in competition in the market. Due to this increase in competition, brands prefer advertising, which is one of the elements of the promotional mix, to help create purchasing intention in consumers. The main purpose is to influence the decisions of the target market and strengthen the brand image through the images used in advertisements. The female image, one of the images used in advertisements, is frequently preferred by companies because it contributes to the recallment of advertisements and increase their sales. For these reasons, the aim of the study was determined to examine the effect of female images used in advertisements on brand image and purchase intention. The use of female image in advertisements; A questionnaire was conducted to understand the effect on the brand image and purchase intention and whether there is a relationship between these concepts. The sample of the study was limited by Konya city center due to basic constraints such as time and cost. The questionnaires were answered by reaching 508 people using the convenience sampling method. As a result of the research, it was concluded that the use of female image in advertisements has an effect on brand image and purchase intention.
