Baigiamajame darbe atliktas tiltin÷s santvaros, iš metalinių profiliuočių, konstrukcijos formos ir strypų skerspjūvių optimizavimas, esant vienam ir dviems apkrovų variantams. Konstrukcija projektuota atsižvelgiant į STR reikalavimus. Tam buvo spręstas netiesinio programavimo uždavinys. Sudarytos nagrinėjamo modelio pagrindinės priklausomybės taikant pusiausviruosius baigtinius elementus. Jų pagrindu sudaryta konstrukcijos optimizavimo programa MATLAB aplinkoje. Naudojantis ją, nustatyta optimali konstrukcijos struktūra ir optimalūs strypų skerspjūviai, esant minimaliam konstrukcijos tūriui, taikant ir netaikant santvaros aukščio ribojimą. Suformuluotos išvados. Darbą sudaro 6 dalys: įvadas, santvaros skaičiuojamoji schema ir apkrovų deriniai, santvaros įtempių ir deformacijų būvio analizė taikant pusiausviruosius baigtinius elementus, konstrukcijos masės minimizavimo uždavinys,optimizavimo rezultatai, išvados, literatūros sąrašas. Darbo apimtis – 67 p. teksto be priedų, 19 iliustr., 11 lent., 26 bibliografiniai šaltiniai. Atskirai pridedami darbo priedai. In the work bridge truss made of steel cross sections was optimized. There was both form of truss and cross sections optimized according to one, and two loads combinations. Construction was design by STR (Lithuanian national design codes). For the mathematical nonlinear programing problem was solved. The main equations inequality of structure analyze discrete model was made using finite elements method. Basing on them program for optimization in Matlab language was made. By that program, optimal truss form and cross sections was found by minimizing structure volume. Six projects were found including and not including limitation of truss high. Structure: introduction, truss analytical scheme and load combinations, truss analysis using finite element method, construction mass minimization, optimal structure results, conclusions and suggestions, references. The dissertation investigates the problems of welded joints resistance to fracture, affected by high-cycle load. The object of research is mechanical state of welded joints, formed in construction elements, in which the fracture process begins because of high-cycle load. Examination of fracture mechanism is important to ensure the design and running durability of large-size elements. Detailed analysis and interpretation allows to choose better calculation methodology for welded joints. The main aim of dissertation – to investigate the process of fracture in butted welded joints, which are loaded high-cyclically, to improve calculating methodology according to consistent patterns of crack formation, propagation, stop and complete fracture, defined by experimental analytical researches. Tyrimo objektas yra suvirintųjų jungčių mechaninis būvis, susidarantis konstrukcijos elementuose, kuriuose dėl apkrovos daugiacikliškumo prasideda irimo procesas. Suirimo mechanizmo nagrinėjimas yra svarbus didelių gabaritų detalių projektiniam ir eksploataciniam ilgalaikiškumui užtikrinti. Threaded connections often experience variable cyclic loads due to temperature, inner pressure and variation in the deformation of connection fittings. Often, studs and screws are not only affected by an axial load, but also by bending moments. More sophisticated high-cycle and low-cycle durability calculation meth-odologies have been already developed for threaded connections experiencing cyclic axial loads, and in these methodologies the distribution of axial load among turns is assessed quantitatively. The quantitative data of load distribu-tion in the thread enables a more accurate assessment of the influence of the constructional design particularities (connection length, material, nut and turn’s form) and the deformation stages of the connection element. These durability calculation methodologies are not applied for threaded connections that are cyclically bent, as the analytical models that are suitable for practical application in the load distribution of the turns have not been cre-ated for bent threaded connections. Disertacijoje aprašytuose tyrimuose buvo pasirinkti du aktyvūs mineraliniai priedai: nemaltas katalizatorius iš katalitinio naftos krekingo reaktoriaus (KAT) ir nedegta mulitinė vata (MV). Galimybės šias atliekas naudoti keramzitbetonio gamyboje iki šiol netirtos. Pagrindinė tyrimo tematika – aktyviųjų mineralinių priedų (KAT ir MV) įtaka pagrindinėms keramzitbetonio charakteristikoms. Disertacijoje sprendžiami keli pagrindiniai uždaviniai: ištirti aktyviųjų mineralinių priedų poveikį cemento hidratacijos mechanizmui, apskaičiuoti prognozuojamą eksploatacinį atsparumą šalčiui bei, remiantis tyrimų rezultatais, parinkti geriausius KAT ir MV atliekos kiekius keramzitbetonio mišiniuose. Disertaciją sudaro įvadas, keturi skyriai, bendrosios išvados, naudotos literatūros ir disertacijos autorės publikacijų sąrašai. Darbo pabaigoje suformuluotos bendrosios išvados. Disertacijos tema paskelbti du straipsniai, kurie įtraukti į Thomson ISI sąrašą, du – Inspec duomenų bazėje cituojamame žurnale, vienas – recenzuojamame tarptautinės konferencijos straipsnių rinkinyje, vienas – kitame leidinyje. Disertacijos tema perskaityti šeši pranešimai Lietuvos ir užsienio konferencijose. Remiantis tyrimų rezultatais pateikta paraiška sukurtam keramzitbetoniui patentuoti.

Disertaciniame darbe išplėtota vieninga tamprių-plastinių prisitaikančių sistemų optimizavimo su stiprumo, standumo ir klumpamosios galios sąlygomis, taikant ekstreminius energinius principus, matematinio programavimo teoriją, šiuolaikines kompiuterines technologijas ir sąsajas su projektavimo standartais, metodika. There are shown in the work that shakedown theory is a generalized tool for calculation of civil engineering structures under different loading conditions that avoid detailed investigation of loading history. Darbo tikslas – tampriųjų-plastinių strypų konstrukcijų (santvaros, rėmų), veikiamų kartotinės kintamosios apkrovos, prisitaikomumo proceso ir būvio įtempių ir deformacijų analizė optimalaus konstrukcijų projektavimo kontekste. Darbo aktualumas grindžiamas prisitaikančių konstrukcijų optimizavimo uždaviniuose figūruojančių standumo sąlygų-apribojimų kokybės gerinimo būtinumu. Prisitaikančių konstrukcijų deformacijų būvis priklauso nuo apkrovimo istorijos, o poslinkių ribojimui taikoma nepakankamai tiksli Koiterio sąlyga arba liekamųjų poslinkių influentinė matrica, nepagrįstai laikant, kad plastinio deformavimo procesas yra išimtinai holonominis. Anotuojamame darbe apkrovimo istoriją siūloma įvertinti, atliekant papildomą inkrementinę deformacijų būvio analizę. Tyrimai atlikti taikant idealiai tamprių plastinių santvarų ir rėmų techniškosios skaičiavimo teorijos prielaidas (maži poslinkiai ir deformacijos). Taikomi ekstreminiai energiniai mechanikos principai, matematinio programavimo teorija ir metodai. Inkrementinės analizės matematiniai modeliai sudaryti, besikeičiančias plastines deformacijas tapatinant su distorsijomis. Taip nustatomos konkrečios apkrovimo istorijos liekamųjų poslinkių kitimo maksimalios ir minimalios reikšmės. Gautieji rezultatai panaudoti optimizavimo uždavinių sprendiniams tikslinti ir, esant būtinumui, leidžiantys keisti pradines pagrindinio optimizavimo uždavinio sąlygas. The purpose of this work is analysis of stress-deformation state of perfectly elastic-plastic shakedown structures (truss, frames) subjected to repeated variable load in the context of optimal design. Relevance of this work is based on a need of improvement of accurateness of stiffness constrains in optimization problems of structures. Stress-deformation state of shakedown structures depends on its loading history, while for the restriction of displacements inaccurate Koiter’s condition or an influence matrix of residual displacements, on the wrong supposition that the process of plastic deformation is exclusively holonomic, is used. In this work is proposed to evaluate loading history by performing an additional incremental analysis of stress-deformation state. This research was performed invoking the assumptions of technical computing theory of perfectly elastic-plastic trusses and frames (small deformations and displacements). Mechanics extremum energy principles, mathematical programming theory and methods are applied. Mathematical models of incremental analysis are composed by indentifying volatile plastic deformations with distortions. Thus particular maximum and minimum values of residual displacements are found. Obtained results are used to verify optimal design problems solutions and change the restrictions of main optimimization problem if necessary. The influence of long-term load on the reinforced concrete beams strength-ened with a carbon fiber composite layer in the tensioned zone is considered in this dissertation. The evolution of deformations in the layers of the beams and the evolution of beam deflection is analyzed. The load carrying capacities after a long-term load action are also determined herein. The built-up-bars theory for calculation of deflections and the load carrying capacity after a long-term load action is presented in this dissertation. The thesis consists of an introduction, four main chapters, the results and conclusions and a list of used literature. The introduction describes the major objectives of the dissertation. The main research subject – pathological blood vessel and its blood flow processes that depend on physical load, pathology degree and type, age, gender and blood vessels stress characteristics. The main aim of this work – to examine blood flow characteristics, local blood pressure, stress distribution in the pathological blood vessels dependent physical load assessing blood vessels mechanical properties variations due to age, gender, blood vessel pathology type; to make simplified human efficiency evaluation methodology. [to full text] Srieginės jungtys dažnai patiria ciklinių lenkimo apkrovų dėl temperatū-ros, vidaus slėgio ir jungiamųjų detalių deformacijų kitimo. Srieginėms jung-tims, kurios patiria ašinių ciklinių apkrovų jau yra sukurtos modernesnės daugiaciklio ir mažaciklio ilgaamžiškumo skaičiavimo metodikos, kuriomis detaliai kiekybiškai įvertinamas ašinės apkrovos pasiskirstymas tarp vijų. Ap-krovos pasiskirstymo sriegyje kiekybiniai duomenys leidžia detaliau ir tiksliau įvertinti konstrukcijos ypatumų (jungties ilgio, medžiagos, veržlės ir vijų for-mos) ir jungties elementų deformavimo stadijų įtaką. Tokios ilgaamžiškumo skaičiavimo metodikos cikliškai lenkiamoms srieginėms jungtims netaikomos, nes lenkiamoms srieginėms jungtims nėra sukurtų apkrovos pasiskirstymo vijose analitinių modelių, tinkamų praktiniam naudojimui. Šioje srityje taip pat nėra sukurtų ir modelių, kurie skaičiuojami baigtinių elementų metodu. Kadangi srieginė jungtis yra kompleksinis mazgas, kurį sudaro deformuo-jami elementai, tai apkrovos pasiskirstymą tarp vijų lemia jungties elementų deformacijų ir poslinkių suderinamumas. Matematiškai aprašant jungties de-formuotą būvį, reikalingi teoriniai ir eksperimentiniai duomenys, kurie atspin-dėtų jungties elementų deformavimo specifinius ypatumus, pasireiškiančius veikiant lenkimui. Disertacijoje siekiama sukurti cikliškai lenkiamų srieginių jungčių apkro-vos pasiskirstymo sriegyje skaičiavimo metodą ir pritaikyti jį mažacikliam ilga-amžiškumui skaičiuoti.

Disertacijoje nagrinėjamos medžiagų tamprumo rodiklių identifikavimo tikslumo problemos. Pagrindinis tyrimo objektas yra įvairių medžiagų bandiniai, jų tamprumo rodikliai. Šis objektas yra svarbus įvairių medžiagų teoriniams tyrimams. Pagrindinis disertacijos tikslas yra sukurti efektyvią technologiją, leidžiančią pakankamu tikslumu surasti visus bandinio tamprumo rodiklius. Sukurtų algoritmų taikymo sritis yra medžiagų gamybos pramonė. Disertacijoje tiriamas siūlomos technologijos tikslumas ieškant įvairių medžiagų tamprumo rodiklių. Darbe sprendžiami keli pagrindiniai uždaviniai: optimizuojami bandinio geometriniai parametrai siekiant tikslesnių tamprumo rodiklių identifikavimo rezultatų; atpažįstamos bandinio modų formos ir reguliuojama jų vieta tikrinių reikšmių spektre siekiant sumažinti tikslo funkcijos iškraipymus; sukuriami pasiūlytų technologijų įgyvendinimo algoritmai ir bandymais patikrinamos jų galimybės. Pirmasis uždavinys suformuluotas atsižvelgiant į palyginti didelę kompozitinių medžiagų tamprumo rodiklių identifikavimo paklaidą. Antrasis siejasi su tikslo funkcijos iškraipymu atnaujinant matematinį medžiagos modelį spėjamais tamprumo rodikliais. Gelžbetonis yra kompozitinė medžiaga, kurios komponentai yra betonas ir plieninė armatūra. Kaip žinoma, betono stipris tempiant yra 1020 kartų mažesnis nei stipris gniuždant. Atrodytų, kad tempiamojo betono įtaka, atlaikant įrąžas skerspjūvyje, yra nereikšminga. Iš tiesų, nustatant lenkiamųjų elementų stiprumą normaliniame pjūvyje, tempiamo betono įtempių galima nevertinti. Kita vertus, skaičiuojant įlinkius, neįvertinus tempiamojo betono įtakos, gali būti daroma didesnė nei 100 % paklaida. Adekvatus supleišėjusio tempiamojo betono įtakos įvertinimas, nustatant trumpalaike apkrova veikiamų gelžbetoninių elementų deformacijas, yra bene svarbiausia ir sudėtingiausia problema. Plyšio vietoje betonas negali atlaikyti tempimo įtempių, todėl visą įrąžą atlaiko armatūra. Kadangi plyšyje ir gretimuose pjūviuose armatūra praslysta betono atžvilgiu, kontakto zonoje atsiranda tangentiniai įtempiai. Šie įtempiai perduodami betonui, todėl jis atlaiko tempimo įtempius. Armatūros ir betono sąveika ruožuose tarp plyšių standina gelžbetoninį elementą. Supleišėjusio betono gebėjimas atlaikyti tempimo įtempius vadinama tempimo sustandėjimu (angl. tension stiffening). Šis efektas dažniausiai modeliuojamas supleišėjusio betono įtempių ir deformacijų diagrama, taikant vidutinių plyšių koncepciją. Due to bond with reinforcement, the cracked concrete between cracks carries a certain amount of tensile force normal to the cracked plane. Concrete adheres to rein-forcement bars and contributes to overall stiffness of the structure. The phe-nomenon, called tension-stiffening, has significant influence on the results of short-term deformational analysis. Assumption of a tension-stiffening law has great influence on numerical results of load – deflection behaviour of reinforced concrete members subjected to short – term loading. Under wrong assumption of this law, errors in calculated deflections, particularly for lightly members, may exceed 100 %. Most known tension-stiffening relationships relate average stresses to average strains. However, some experimental and theoretical investi-gations have shown that tension-stiffening may be affected by other parameters. The scientific supervisor of the thesis has proposed a tension-stiffening model depending on reinforcement ratio. This model has been developed using experi-mental data reported in the literature. Besides, concrete shrinkage effect was not taken into account. The main objective of this PhD dissertation is to propose a tension-stiffening law for bending RC members subjected to short-term loading with eliminated concrete shrinkage effect.

Baigiamajame magistro darbe pateiktos pagrindinės prielaidos, kurios priimamos analizuojant klijų kontaktą tarp medienos ir metalo. Aptartos plačiausiai taikomos plieninių sriegtų strypų įklijavimo medienoje technologijos. Apibendrinti plieninių sriegtų strypų įklijavimo medienoje technologijos kontrolės metodai. Išanalizuota mokslinė literatūra, susijusi su plieninių sriegtų strypų įklijavimu medienoje. Tiriamojoje dalyje surasti ir išnagrinėti Pasaulinės patentų sistemos „esp@cenet“ 11 patentų, kuriuose pateikiami montažiniai medienos elementų mazgai, sukonstruoti panaudojant plieninius įklijuojamus strypus. Pateikti pagrindiniai standžių montuojamųjų mazgų konstravimo principai. Eksperimentinėje dalyje laboratoriniais bandymais ištirta sąveika tarp medienos ir plieninio sriegto strypo, kai kontaktas tarp jų užtikrinamas klijais. Atlikti eksperimentiniai tyrimai: plieninių sriegtų strypų takumo bei stiprumo įtempių nustatymas; medienos tankio ir drėgnio nustatymas; plieninių sriegtų strypų ištraukiamojo atspario nustatymas. Discussed the main technologies of glueing in steel rod into timber. Summarized technolgy control methods of glueing in steel rods process. Overviewed the scientific literature which is related to the steel rods glued in timber. In research part of the work submitted 11 patents of esp@cenet patent base of rigid joints in which construction used glued in steel rods. Given the main principles of construction of rigid joints with glued in steel rods. In experimental part of the work investigated the behavior of the timber – steel joint which contact is ensured by glue. The dissertation investigates the influence of macrostructure and other physical properties on mineral wool compressive parameters. The subject of the research is rigid mineral wool products. In the dissertation is described developed a more accurate methodology for the identification of the macrostructure of mineral wool in accordance with the directionality of fibre arrangement, which allows determine and predict the compressive strength through macrostructure and other parameters. Analyzed the strength parameters (compression stress at 10% deformation and point load at 5 mm deformation) of mineral wool products with different structures in laboratory and real operation conditions. Disertacijoje nagrinėjama makrostruktūros ir kitų fizinių savybių įtaka mineralinės vatos gaminių gniuždymo rodikliams modeliuotomis ir eksploatacijos sąlygomis. Tyrimo objektas – standūs mineralinės vatos gaminiai naudojami įvairių atitvarinių konstrukcijų termoizoliaciniams sluoksniams. Disertacijoje aprašytas sukurtas tikslesnis mineralinės vatos makrostruktūros identifikavimo pagal plaušų išsidėstymo kryptingumą metodas, padėsiantis makrostruktūros rodikliais ir kitais parametrais prognozuoti gniuždymo stiprį. Ištirti skirtingos struktūros mineralinės vatos gaminių gniuždymo rodikliai (gniuždymo įtempis, esant 10 % deformacijai, ir sutelktoji apkrova, esant 5 mm deformacijai) laboratorinėmis ir realiomis eksploatacijos sąlygomis.

The dissertation investigates the behaviour of timber-concrete connections with inclined screws – the load carrying capacity and deformability. The essen¬tial objects of investigation are the load carrying capacity of inclined screws; the modules of connection slip deformation, and the mechanical properties of mate¬rials and ware of which the connection is made. The load-carrying capacity of the connection depends on the properties of the material of connected member and the connectors, on which depends the strength and stiffness of the composite member. The main aim of dissertation is to create the connection load carrying capacity predicting model, based on the more realistic behaviour of the material of connected members; to prepare the simplified approach for load-carrying capacity predicting model for composite timber-concrete connections within at any angle in respect to timber grain in¬clined crews. The paper approaches a few major tasks such as the choice of suitable load-carrying capacity predicting base model; preparing it to composite timber-con¬crete connections with inclined screws; the experimental investigation of con¬nection with inclined screws under long- and short term loading; the experi¬mental investigation of properties of connected materials and type of used con¬nectors; the evaluation of created predictive model based on results also of other researchers experimental investigations. The numerical analysis of electromagnetic railgun dynamics under transient load is considered in current PhD thesis. The object of investigation is electro-magnetic accelerator EMA-3 at French-German institute of Sain-Louis (ISL). The aim of work covers the development of the finite element model of the EMA-3 rail gun and its application for investigation of the mechanical behaviour of railgun under differently induced loading regimes. There are several tasks under consideration. The first one is development of the finite element model. The 2D model consisting of four node plane and elastic springs was suggested and examined. The second one is evaluation of influence particular loading to dynamic behaviour and giving of recommendations. Tyrimo objektas yra EMŠ „EMA-3“. Šaudyklės mechaninė dalis sudaryta iš elektrai laidžių bėgių, pritvirtintų prie dielektrinio pagrindo. Tiriama mechani-nio būvio rodiklių priklausomybė nuo apkrovos pobūdžio ir šaudyklės bėgių įtvirtinimo. Šaudyklės mechaninio būvio nustatymas jos darbo metu leistų tiks-liau prognozuoti jos elgseną, pagreitintų projektavimą, tobulinimą ir atpigintų eksploatavimą. Disertacijos tikslas yra skaitiniais metodais aprašyti ir ištirti šau-dyklės mechaninį deformavimą, veikiant dinaminei apkrovai, ištirti mechaninio būvio rodiklių priklausomybes nuo apkrovos parametrų, palyginti skirtingus ap-krovų režimus. Due to the use of refined ultimate state theories as well as high strength concrete and reinforcement, resulting in longer spans and smaller depths, the serviceability criteria often limits application of modern reinforced concrete (RC) superstructures. In structural analysis, civil engineers can choose between traditional design code methods and numerical techniques. In order to choose a particular calculation method, engineers should be aware of accuracy of differ-ent techniques. Adequate modelling of RC cracking and, particularly, post-cracking behaviour, as one of the major sources of nonlinearity, is the most im-portant and difficult task of deformational analysis. In smeared crack approach dealing with average cracking and strains, post-cracking effects can be modelled by a stress-strain tension-stiffening relationship. Most known tension-stiffening relationships have been derived from test data of shrunk tension or shear mem-bers. Subsequently, these constitutive laws were applied for modelling of bend-ing elements which behaviour differs from test members. Furthermore, such re-lationships were coupled with shrinkage effect. Nagrinėjama liejimo tuštumų įtaka konstrukcinių elementų iš stipriojo ketaus stiprumui esant daugiacikliam apkrovimui. Eksperimetiškai nustatytas pleišėjimo slenksčio mažėjimas prie labai mažo plyšio plitimo greičio tiriamas analitiniais ir skaitiniais metodais, remiantis tiesine irimo mechanika. Pristatoma bandinių paviršiaus fraktografinė analizė. Siūloma patobulinta stiprumo skaičiavimo metodika. The influence of casting voids on spheroid cast iron structure elements high-cycle fatigue strength is investigated. The experimentally established cracking threshold decrease at very small crack growth rate is investigated using analytical and numerical methods basing on linear fracture mechanics. The specimen surface fractographic analysis is presented. The improved strength calculation method is proposed. Исследуется влияние литейных пустот на прочность элементов конструкций из чугуна с шаровидным графитом. Экспериментально установленное снижение порога трещиностойкости при очень малой скорости распространения трещины исследуется аналитическими и численными методами, опираясь на линейную механику разрушения. Disertacijoje sprendžiama telekomunikacinių stiebų efektyvumo problema. Tyrimo objektas – statiškai apkrauti naujos konstrukcijos stiebai su kombinuotomis atotampomis. Darbe išanalizuota šiuolaikinių stiebų konstrukcinės formos ir skaičiavimo metodai. Nagrinėjama sukurta stiebo su kombinuotomis atotampomis konstrukcija, kurioje vietoj įprastųjų siūloma taikyti kombinuotas atotampas. Disertacijoje šiems stiebams skaičiuoti pateikta inžinerinė skaičiavimo metodika. Pateikti naujo stiebo, veikiamo statinių apkrovų, elgsenos analizės skaitinių ir eksperimentinių laboratorinių tyrimų rezultatai. Stiebo su kombinuotomis atotampomis kamieno lenkiamiesiems momentams reguliuoti darbe siūloma taikyti parengtą stiebų komponavimo metodiką. Šių stiebų efektyvumui nustatyti pateikti gretinamieji tyrimai su įprastos sandaros stiebais. Pagrindinis darbo tikslas – sukurti technologiją ir ją aprašančius algoritmus santvarų topologijos optimizavimui ir sinchroniniam topologijos ir formos optimizavimui. Optimizavimui naudojami genetiniai algoritmai. Topologijai optimizuoti pasirinkta perdėtai sujungtos struktūros strategija (angl. ground structure approach). The main aim of the work is to create a technology and implementing algorithms for topology optimization and for simultaneous topology and shape optimization of truss systems. Šiame baigiamajame magistro darbe nagrinėjama temperatūros įtaka plieninių strypinių konstrukcijų darbui. Darbas susideda iš teorinės ir eksperimentinės dalių. Teorinėje dalyje atlikta literatūros apžvalga. Aptarti naujai pasiūlyti strypinių sistemų ir atskirų elementų, bei jų sujungimo skaičiavimo metodai ir eksperimentiniai rezultatai, veikiant aukštoms (gaisro) temperatūroms. Aprašyta temperatūros pokyčio įtaka elemento deformacijai, pateikiamas matematinis modelis tamprioms-plastinėms strypinėms konstrukcijoms skaičiuoti, įvertinant temperatūros pokyčius. Eksperimentinėje dalyje atliekama rėmo, kai elementus veikia visame skerspjūvio aukštyje vienoda temperatūra, ir kai apatiniuose ir viršutiniuose elementų sluoksniuose ji skiriasi, analizė. Skaičiavimams atlikti panaudotas simbolinės matematikos paketas Matlab. Aprašomi rezultatai, suformuluojamos išvados ir pasiūlymai. The thesis consists of theoretical and experimental parts. The theoretical part covers the review of literature. New methods of calculations and experimental results of steel-framed structures, separate members and connections at elevated temperatures are analysed. The impact of temperature changes on deformation of the elements is described, the mathematical model for calculating elastic-plastic bar structures with estimation of temperature changes is given. The experimental part covers the analysis of the frame, when the temperature is the same throughout the whole cross-section of members and when it is different in the bottom and top parts of sections. Software pack Matlab was used for calculations. Results of calculations are given, conclusions and suggestions presented. Structure: introduction, review of literature, mathematical model, experimental part, conclusions and suggestions, references. Volume of the thesis: 90 pages of text, 54 pictures, 9 tables, 37 references.

Mechanical properties and their evolution under loading are the most significant factors for the development of various mechanical structures, technologies and equipment. It seems to be natu-ral that deeper understanding of the behaviour of existing and design of new materials presents a challenge in different research areas. It should be noted, that all the materials are heterogeneous in meso- and micro- scales. They exhibit essential differences, compared to the macroscopic continuum behaviour. Basically, both experimental and numerical simulation methods are extensively applied for investigation purposes. Experimental techniques, capable of giving a realistic view of the inside of the material and extracting the real data, are very expensive. Therefore, the nu-merical simulation tools are extensively used as an alternative for investigation purposes. They have considerable advantages allowing the reproduction of multiple experiments and providing comprehensive data about ongoing phe-nomena. Recently, numerical technologies have become highly multidisciplinary subjects. They comprise phenomenological and statistical ideas, while mathe-matical models employ the relations of continuum mechanics, classical discre-tization methods and molecular dynamics. Necessary information about soil properties, which is needed for designers and constructors, is obtained in each construction site while examining physical and mechanical properties of soils. Soil strength parameters and using them determined soil bearing resistance usually are defined with some errors. If we know the reasons of errors, disadvantages of testing equipment could be eliminated, methodology of data evaluation could be developed, soil parameters could be determined more precisely and foundation designed more economically. At present triaxial and direct shear tests are the most common tests for determination of soil shear strength parameters in laboratories. Different values of soil shear strength parameters are determined using laboratory equipment of various types. Triaxial test is the most widely used method for determination of soil shear strength parameters. This is one of the most reliable methods to model stress-strain state of ground. It is assumed that soil sample deforms uniformly during the triaxial test. But it is not often the case that a sample in triaxial apparatus deforms uniformly. Questions arise, what is stress-strain distribution in soil sample, when a load is transmitted in a prescribed way? What influence does a non-uniformity have on the soil strength parameters and on foundation size calculated using determined soil strength parameters? Different values of soil shear strength parameters are determined using laboratory equipment of various types. Triaxial test is the most widely used method for determination of soil shear strength parameters. This is one of the most reliable methods to model stress-strain state of ground. Disertaciniame darbe, pasitelkus deformuojamo kūno mechanikos energinius principus ir matematinio programavimo teoriją, iš vieningų pozicijų išnagrinėtos tiek tamprių, tiek tamprių-plastinių sistemų deformacijų darnos (Sen-Venano) lygtys. Sprendžiant energinio principo apie papildomos energijos minimumą pagrindu sudarytą ekstremumo analizės uždavinį, įrodoma, kad yra tik trys nepriklausomos Sen-Venano lygtys su atitinkamai performuotomis kraštinėmis sąlygomis. But it can do not satisfy its serviceability requirements, for instance, stiffness ones. Therefore, not only strength, but also stiffness conditions-constraints should be included in the discrete mathematical models of bending plate parameter or load variation bound optimization problems (exactly such problems are considered in the dissertation). Using mathematical programming not only new optimization technique of bending plates at shakedown is developed, but also relation between Kuhn-Tucker conditions and strain compatibility (Saint-Venant) equations and dependences of associative yield law of the deformable body mechanics is showed in the dissertation. Mathematical models of nonlinear problems are constructed applying method of equilibrium elements and are solved by iterations using Rosen project gradient algorithm. The feature of this research work is that the theory of mathematical programming accompanies investigation of optimization problem from the construction of the mathematical model up to its numerical solution, at the same time revealing mechanical meaning optimality criterion of applied Rosen algorithm.

Object of the research. The research object includes a CCA and a model of a web-based decision support system developed by integrating basic knowledge in the sphere of construction management, civil law, mathematical methods and advanced computer technologies; the model system enables effective implementation of aims of various parties of a CCA. The work presents the research of high-strength cast iron used for manufacturing of large grinding structures with dross layer and with non-homogeneous heat treatment volumes that remains inside during manufacturing process and subjected to high-cycle loading. The original research methodology used for investigations allowed to obtain the results of high-cycle loading. Obtained results have been used to improve the structural elements calculation methods.

Recently more and more buildings of light structures have been built in Lithuania as well as in other European and world countries. Nevertheless, timber products are not widely used for floors in this share of construction market. Traditional light timber frame floors are characterized by vibrations, acoustic transmission and low fire resistance. The above-mentioned problems can be rationally solved by using timber-concrete composite (hereinafter TCC) floors. In comparison with entirely timber floors such type of floors are characterised not only by increased strength and stiffness but also by increased fire resistance and better sound insulation. In comparison with reinforced concrete floors manufactured of non-regenerative sources TCC floors are lighter and more economic. These characteristics stimulate usage of TCC floors in newly built buildings. It should also be noted that usage of timber in building structures instead of concrete or steel could substantially decrease energy demand and emission of carbon dioxide during production. The main parts of the framework are beams, columns and joints. Taking into account all structural members, the accurate behaviour of the joints is least considered in the design practice. This is the framework part, which behaviour is the most simplified. Framework calculations are still performed according to the assumption that joints are either ideally rigid or ideally pinned, in spite of the fact that majority of the joints is neither ideally rigid nor ideally pinned. The idealization of joints into ideally rigid or ideally pinned significantly simplifies the calculation and design, but herewith limits the possibility to obtain the real behaviour of the whole structure. Structural and economical benefit of using the semi-rigid joints is widely known. The real behaviour of the framework allows designing more proper and safer structures, herewith reaching the economical benefit. A method prepared and created algorithm for computations and evaluation of relation between Earth’s crust horizontal deformations and variations of tectonic stresses. Hooke’s law was used for relation description. Method of evaluation of Earth’s crust horizontal deformations was improved as well as modelling method based on observation data. Elements of deformation tensors were evaluated by applying finite element method. New data of Earth’s crust horizontal movements and their geodynamic interpretation at the Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant region were obtained.

The thesis consists of general characteristics, list of notations, introduction, four main chapters, general conclusions, 56 pictures, 2 tables and list of references. The total scope of the dissertation is 106 pages.

In order to determine fracture parameters of the body and fracture conditions, stress and strain fields in the crack zone should be precisely calculated, especially near the crack tip. These goals can be achieved by performing experiments which are very complicated and expensive. More efficient numerical finite element and boundary element methods yielding the reliable data faster than experiments are usually used for practical calculations. A great number of classical analytical, experimental and numerical investigations are restricted to solving two-dimensional problems by making different assumptions. The results may be uncertain when three-dimensional state is simplified to two-dimensional one. Therefore, it is very important to study the effect of this simplification, in other words, to investigate the influence of three-dimensionality. The dissertation research belongs to the area of numerical fracture mechanics.

Application of refined ultimate state theories and use of high strength materials have resulted in longer spans and smaller depths of reinforced and prestressed concrete structures. Consequently, the condition of the limiting deflection rather than the strength requirement often is the governing design criterion. Long-term deflections might be up to 3 to 4 times larger than the short-term deflections. Such increments are caused by complex physical effects such as concrete creep, shrinkage and cracking, bond defects, etc. Long-term concrete creep and shrinkage deformations govern prestress losses. Structural analysis can be carried out either by traditional design code methods or numerical techniques. Although design code methods ensure safe design, they have significant limitations. Different techniques are used for strength, deflection, crack width and prestress loss analyses. Besides, most of the simplified approaches do not assess such factors as concrete shrinkage, cracking or tension stiffening. Based on a large number of empirical expressions and factors, they lack physical interpretation and do not reveal the actual stress-strain state of cracked structures. In the dissertation evaluated frost influence to the change of physical–mechanical properties of the reinforced concrete slabs for earth dam slope protection. Established ice thermal expansion linear load acting the slabs and proposed more exact calculation of this load. Evaluated deterioration indices and defects influence to slabs state and durability.

This summary of doctoral dissertation deal with modeling of fracture in various 2D structures. The standard experimental specimens with defects, which are used in evaluation of fracture parameters, are investigated numerically in this work. The original FE generation technique based on the adaptive approach is developed for the 2D structures with defects. The stress indicator employed in the adaptive analysis is able to capture high gradients of stress in the vicinity of the defect. Performance of this technique is checked against the defects of different geometry. Finally the above-mentioned technique exposes its suitability for solving fracture problems.
