Determining the stator slot design parameters of the alternator has a great importance to provide the desired magnetic flux distribution for a permanent magnet generator (PMG). The objective of this article was to investigate the optimum design parameters of PMG slot design for small-scale low-speed wind turbine generator by using the design of experiment techniques. The Maxwell simulations have been used for numerical experiments on geometric design variables of stator slots (Bs0, Bs1, Bs2, and Hs2) in order to evaluate the coefficients of second-order models for the responses. Efficiency, stator teeth flux density, stator yoke flux density, and air-gap flux density are determined as the responses that have to be optimized. A gradient search was used for optimization. The solution of this design problem shows how the experimental design method can be combined with the numerical simulation and how this approach is well adapted to the optimization process. As a result, the efficiency of the PMG is improved under the desired magnetic flux conditions.

It is important to calculate the optimum design parameters of synchronous generator (SG) to obtain the desired total harmonic distortion (THD). In this study, we aim to determine the optimum rotor design parameters of SG by using grey wolf optimizer (GWO) algorithm. For this purpose regression modelling is performed to mathematically modelling the relationship between the selected rotor design parameters (factors namely slot pitch, center slot pitch, and damper width) and THD (response). This factor combination is not previously investigated in the related literature. Then by using GWO the optimization is performed on this regression equation. Maxwell simulations have been used for numerical experiments. The results of GWO are compared with the results of genetic algorithm (GA). The results indicate that the GWO algorithm can be well adapted to similar optimization processes and can be effectively used. As a result, the voltage THD of the SG is reduced to 0.3951 under the acceptable magnetic flux conditions. This GWO aided optimization study is significant in that it demonstrates how the performance of SG can be improved by making minor changes to the production line that has been adjusted for mass production without changing the outer diameter and dimensions of SG.

Bu tez çalışmasında, M1 ve M2 moleküllerinin taban seviye denge geometrik yapıları, spektroskopik ve elektronik özellikleri, Yoğunluk Fonksiyonel Teorisi (DFT) tabanlı ab-initio hesaplama yöntemi ve Becke-3-Lee-Yang-Parr (B3LYP) metodu ile 6-311G(d,p) temel baz seti kullanarak incelenmiştir. İlk olarak sentezlenen moleküller optimizasyon işlemiyle taban denge durumuna getirildi. Kararlı taban denge durumuna gelen moleküllerin yapısal özelliklerini karakterize edebilmek için FT-IR, 1H-NMR ve 13C-NMR spektroskopik yöntemleri kullanıldı. Daha sonrasında, moleküllerin elektronik yapısını incelemek amacıyla bize moleküler orbital enerjileri hakkında bilgi veren HOMO (En Yüksek Dolu Moleküler Orbital)-LUMO (En Düşük Boş Moleküler Orbital) hesaplamaları gerçekleştirildi. Bu enerjilerden iyonizasyon potansiyeli (I), elektron ilgisi (A), elektronegatifliği (χ), kimyasal sertliği (η) ve kimyasal yumuşaklığı (s) parametreler kaydedilmiştir. Son olarak yapılan teorik çalışmalar ile deneysel veriler karşılaştırılmıştır. DFT/B3LYP metodu 6-311G(d,p) baz seti ile gerçekleştirilen hesaplamaların sonuçlarının başarılı olduğu gözlemlendi. Korelasyon grafikleri de sonuçları doğrulamaktadır. In this thesis, the ground state equilibrium geometric structures, spectroscopic and electronic properties of molecules M1 and M2 are studied via Density Functional Theory (DFT) based on ab-initio method and Becke-3-Lee-Yang-Parr (B3LYP) methods with the basis set of 6-311G (d,p). Firstly, the synthesized molecules are brought to the base equilibrium state by optimization process. FT-IR, 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR spectroscopic methods are used to characterize the structural properties of molecules at ground state. After, HOMO (Highest Occupied Molecular Orbital)- LUMO (Lowest Occupied Molecular Orbital) energy levels which give information us about molecular orbital energy are calculated for obtaning electronic properties of molecules. Using these energies, ionization potential (I), electron affinity (A), electronegativity (χ), chemical hardness (η) and chemical softness (s) parameters are calculated. Finally, theoretical studies are compluted with experimental data. It is observed that the results of the studies which based on DFT/B3LYP calculation methods with the basis set of 6-311G (d,p) are successful to get the structural, electronic and spectroscopic properties of the molecules considered in this work. Moreover, the correlation plots between the theoretical and experimental data confirm these results.

Karaoğlan, Aslan Deniz (Balikesir Author), In this study, using the whale optimization algorithm (WOA), one of the recent optimization algorithms inspired by nature, the plastic injection process parameters of an automotive sub-industry company were tried to be optimized. For this purpose, we tried to provide the maximum weight criterion for the.356 MCA Plastic Housing. (which is an automotive lighting part) produced by plastic injection method. The decrease in the weight of the product indicates that the material injected into the mold is missing and naturally indicates that there will be quality problems. In order to achieve this aim, the best factor levels were tried to be determined for the mold temperature (degrees C), injection speed (m/s), injection pressure (bar), holding time (s), and injection time (s), which are the controllable parameters of injection process. Factors and factor levels addressed using WOA have not been studied for this type of problem before and this is the novelty aspect of this research. Experiments performed to confirm the findings for optimum process parameters proved that the WOA method can be successfully applied to improve plastic injection process parameters. This study contains information for practicing researchers in terms of showing how the nature-inspired algorithm WOA can be applied in practical field studies.

Aim: Intensive care units (ICUs) are the most common units where hospital infections take place mostly due to both the characteristics of the patients, the administered treatment, and invasive procedures. ICU’s are one of the most common departments of the hospital where pneumonia takes place. In lower respiratory tract infections often; Pseudomonas and Acinetobacter bacteria are isolated as pathogens. In our study, it was aimed to investigate the Acinetobacter baumannii and Pseudomonas aeruginosa rate, antimicrobial resistance profile, and the factors affecting prognosis in the lower respiratory tract samples of patients hospitalized in the intensive care unit.Materials and Methods: In our retrospective study, 505 patients in the tertiary intensive care unit and a total of 2740 non-fermentative gram negative bacterials trains isolated from the lower respiratory tract samples of these patients were included. Identification and antibiotic susceptibilities of isolates were studied with Phoenix TM 100 (BD, USA) according to EUCAST standards. Demographic, clinical and laboratory data of the patients were obtained from the hospital automation system. SPPS 20.0 statistics package program was used to evaluate the data. Variables were used as mean ± standard deviation and Median (Maximum-Minimum) percentage and frequency values. p, Amaç: Yoğun bakım üniteleri (YBÜ) gerek yatan hasta grubunun özellikleri gerekse uygulanan tedavi ve invaziv işlemler nedeniyle hastane enfeksiyonlarının en sık görüldüğü birimlerdir. YBÜ’leri özellikle özellikle nozokomiyal pnömonin en sık görüldüğü yerler arasındadır. YBÜ’de gelişen alt solunum yolu enfeksiyonlarında sıklıkla; Pseudomonas ve Acinetobacter cinsi bakteriler etken olarak izole edilir. Çalışmamızda yoğun bakım kliniğinde yatan hastaların alt solunum yolu örneklerinde üreyen Acinetobacter baumannii ve Pseudomonas aeruginosa üreme oranı, antimikrobial direnç profilinin incelenmesi ve prognoza etki eden faktörlerinin değerlendirilmesi amaçlandı.Gereç ve Yöntemler: Retrospektif yaptığımız çalışmamıza üçüncü basamak yoğun bakım biriminde yatan 505 hasta ve bu hastaların alt solunum yolu örneklerinden izole edilmiş toplam 2740 nonfermantatif Gram negatif bakteri izolatı alındı. Burada konjenital adrenal hiperplazi nedeniyle izlenirken hipogonadotropikhipogonadizm ve herediter sferositoz tanısı alan genetik analizinde 8p11.2 delesyonu saptanan bir olgu sunulmuştur.OlguGenital bölgede kıllanma şikayeti ile dış merkezde konjenital adrenal hiperplazi tanısı alan ve genetik analizindeV281L mutasyonu homozigot olan hasta izlem için başvurdu. Özgeçmişinde 8 aylık, 2100 gr doğduğu, öğrenmegüçlüğü ve disleksisi olduğu, hidrokortizon tedavisini düzensiz kullandığı; soy geçmişinde özellik olmadığı öğrenildi.Fizik muayenesinde TY: 12 y 1 ay, BY: 11 y 3 ay, KY: 13 y 3 ay, VA:49,7 kg (50-75p), boy:146,2 cm (10-25p),Tanner evre T2P1 ve kliteromegali yoktu. Anne boyu:163 cm, baba boyu:175 cm, hedef boy:162,5 cm. Hastaya10 mg/m²/gün dozunda hidrokortizon başlandı. İzlemde sklerada ikteri olan hastanın indirekt hiperbilirubinemisisaptanması üzerine herediter sferositoz tanısı aldı. Yapılan abdomen USG’de kolelitiazis saptandı. Hasta148/12 iken Tanner evre T3P3 ancak meme gland yapısının yumuşak olması nedeni ile hastaya LHRH testiyapıldı, hastada hipogonadotropik hipogonadizm saptandı, anosmi yoktu. Hipofiz MRI da hipofiz bezi boyutlarıyaşa göre küçüktü, Kranial MRI da bilateral globus pallidus ve dentate nukleusta T1 de patolojik sinyal değişikliğisaptandı. Öğrenme güçlüğü, disleksi, strabismus, herediter sferositoz, hepatosteatoz, kolelitiazis, hipogonadotropikhipogonadizmi olan hastanın genetik analizinde 8p11.23-p11.21 bölgesinde 4.6 MB’lik delesyon olduğu görüldü.SonuçOlgumuzdaki delesyon FGFR1 ve ANK1 genini içermekte olup bu genlerin delesyonları hipogonadotropik hipogonadizmve herediter sferositoza neden olmaktadır. 8p11.2 delesyonlarında görülebilen diğer BULGULAR: psikomotor gelişmegeriliği, büyüme geriliği, mikrosefali ve dismorfik yüz bulgularıdır.FGFR1 ve ANK1 genleri, 8p11.2’de 3.2 MB’lik dar birmesafe içinde bulunduğundan, bu bölgenin delesyonu genellikle bitişik gen sendromu olarak görülür, delesyon boyutunagöre klinik değişebilmektedir

Bu çalışmada, plastik termoform süreci eniyilenmesi üzerine çalışılmıştır. Bu amaçla Balıkesir OSB’de faaliyet gösteren Şahlan Plastik firmasının termoform bardak şekillendirme süreci adaptif yanıt yüzey yöntemi (AYYY) kullanılarak eniyilenmiştir. Bu yöntem kontrol edilebilen değişkenleri ve kontrol edilemeyen değişkenleri birlikte dikkate alarak eniyileme yapan bir yöntemdir. Çalışmanın uygulama aşamasında, 200 ml’lik beyaz ayran bardağı üretimi ele alınmıştır. Makine bölge sıcaklıkları (4 farklı bölge), kalıp hızı, giriş suyu sıcaklığı, ortam sıcaklığı, bobin soğuma saati girdilerine karşılık gözlenen bardak ağırlıkları için 48 adet gözlem değeri alınmıştır. Ağırlık ile ağırlık üzerinde etkili bu faktörler arasındaki ilişki regresyon denklemi ile modellenmiştir. Modelin kullanılabilir olup olmadığını belirlemek için, belirleme katsayısı (R2) ve ANOVA analizi sonuçlarına bakılmıştır. Ardından, anlamlı bulunan bu model için 5 gr bardak ağırlığını veren eniyilenmiş üretim süreç parametreleri belirlenmiştir., In this study, optimization of plastic thermoforming process is considered. For this purpose, thermoform cup forming process of Sahlan Plastic Company operating in Balıkesir Industrial Zone was optimized by using Adaptive Response Surface Methodology (ARSM). This method is an optimization method by dealing with controllable variables and uncontrollable variables together. During the application phase of the study, the production of 200 ml white buttermilk glasses was discussed. Zone temperatures (4 different zones), mold speed, inlet water temperature, ambient temperature, coil cooling time are used as the factors, while the cup weights were measured as the output (response) and 48 observation values were taken. The relationship between weight and these factors affecting the weight is modeled with the regression equation. To determine whether the model is significant, the results for the coefficient of determination (R2) and ANOVA analysis were examined. Then, for this model - which is found to be significant - the optimized production process parameters were determined, giving the weight of 5 g.

Gün içerisinde gerçekleştirilen işlerin ağırlığı, tekrarlı ve sürekli olması çalışanları zorlamakta ve zamanla kas iskelet sistemi rahatsızlıklarına yol açabilmektedir. Endüstride genelde işin yaratacağı fiziksel etkileri önlemek amacıyla çalışmalar yapılmaktadır. Ancak yapılan işlerin çalışanlara fiziksel etkilerinin yanında zihinsel etkileri de söz konusudur. Oluşabilecek performans ve verim kayıplarının önüne geçebilmek için hem fiziksel hem zihinsel iş yüklerini azaltacak iyileştirmelerin yapılması gereklidir. Bu çalışmada, alternatör üretiminde kullanılan stator sac kesim işlemi esnasında operatörlerin çalışma duruşları ve zihinsel iş yükü incelenmiştir. Alternatör üretim süreci emek yoğun gerçekleştirilen işlerden birisidir. Stator sac kesim işleminde, çalışma duruşu değerlendirildiğinde çalışanın fiziksel olarak çok fazla zorlanmadığı düşünülmektedir. Çalışma duruşunun ergonomik açıdan uygun olduğu düşünülse de gün içerisinde işin sürekli tekrarlanmasının çalışana fiziksel etkisinin yanında bıkkınlık, isteksizlik ve iş motivasyonu düşüklüğü gibi zihinsel etkilerinin de olabileceği düşünülmektedir. Yapılan işin çalışanda oluşturacağı zihinsel iş yükünü değerlendirmek için NASA-TLX yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Yöntemde önem ağırlıklarının belirlenmesinde ikili karşılaştırma süreci yer almaktadır. Bu süreçte belirsizlikler söz konusu olduğundan daha gerçekçi sonuçlar elde etmek üzere bulanık önceliklendirme metodu kullanılmıştır. Zihinsel işyükü boyutlarının ikili karşılaştırması sonucu elde edilen önem ağırlıklarının belirlenmesinde, iki akademisyen ve iki üretim yöneticisinin yer aldığı bir ekibin değerlendirmelerinden yararlanılmıştır. Böylece daha objektif sonuçlar ortaya konulmuştur., The weight of the work done during the day, and the repetition and continuity, force the employees and may cause musculoskeletal disorders in time. In the industry, studies generally are carried out in order to prevent the physical effects of the work. However, the work done has physical effects as well as mental effects to the employees. Improvements are needed to reduce both physical and mental workloads are required to prevent performance and efficiency losses that may occur. In this study, the working postures and mental workload of the operators during the stator sheet cutting process used in alternator production were examined. Alternator production process is one of the labor intensive works. In the stator sheet cutting process, when the working stance is evaluated, it is thought that the employee is not having too much physical difficulty. Although it is thought that the working posture is ergonomically appropriate, it is thought that continuous repetition of work during the day may have physical effects on the employee, as well as mental effects such as boredom, unwillingness and low motivation of work. NASA-TLX method was used to evaluate the mental workload of the work done in the employee. NASA-TLX method was used to evaluate the mental workload of the job done in the employee. The method involves a binary comparison process in determining the importance weights. Fuzzy prioritization method has been used to obtain more realistic results since uncertainties are involved in this process. The evaluations of a team composed of two academicians and two production managers were used to determine the importance weights obtained as a result of the pairwise comparison of mental workload dimensions. Thus, more objective results have been revealed.

İşletmeler açısından israf (muda) kaçınılması gereken bir kavramdır. Muda, İş bitim sürelerini uzatan, bir malzemeyi ya da aleti almak için gereksiz hareketler yapmaya neden olan, stok fazlalığı yaratan ya da sonuçta her tür beklemeye yol açan fire niteliğindeki hareketler olarak tanımlanmaktadır. Bir işletmede çalışan operatör, makine veya diğer birimlerin gereğinden fazla yüklenerek ideal zaman ve emek miktarının üzerinde zorlanmasına ise Japonca Muri adı verilir. İsrafı önleyebilmek ve üretim süreçlerindeki dengesizlikleri giderebilmek için önemli önceliklerden biri aşırı yükün olduğu birimlerin tespit edilmesini sağlayan Muri çalışmalarını yapmaktır.Başta yem tesisleri olmak üzere, hammadde ve yarı mamullerin tesis içerisinde belirli yüksekliklere çıkarılması amacıyla kullanılan kovalı elevatörler üzerinde çok sayıda taşıyıcı kova yer almaktadır. Bu kovaların elevatör üzerine montajı, taşıyıcı bant vasıtasıyla yapılmaktadır. Kovaların, taşıyıcı bant üzerine montajı cıvata ve somun kullanılarak gerçekleşmektedir. Bant üzerinde yer alan yüzlerce delik, mevcut teknikte, önce el ile işaretlenmekte ve sonrasında el matkabıyla delinmektedir. Kova taşıyıcı bandının delik konumlarının işaretlenmesi ve delinmesi işleminde çalışanların çömelerek ve eğilerek işlem yaptıkları görülmüştür. Anılan bu işlem gün boyunca devam edebilmekte ve çalışan gün boyu zorlanmaktadır. Çalışanları zorlayan çalışma durumları Muri ve REBA ile analiz edilmiş ve bu aşırı yükten kaynaklanan zaman israfını ortadan kaldıracak çalışma şekilleri değerlendirilmiştir. Yapılan değerlendirmeler sonucunda, çalışanları zorlayan bu çalışma duruşlarının ortadan kaldırılması amacıyla bant deliklerini istenilen aralıklarla delen bir otomasyon sistemi tasarlanmıştır. Amaç, çalışan memnuniyetini ve konforunu artırmak suretiyle; çalışana bağlı hata yapma riskinin minimuma indirilmesi, kalite ve verimlilik iyileştirmelerinin gerçekleştirilmesi ve rekabet etme olanaklarının arttırılmasıdır. Çalışmanın tasarımı tamamlanmış ve imalat süreci devam etmektedir.

Mixed-model assembly lines allow the production of different product variants in mass quantities on the same assembly line. In studies addressing mixed-model assembly with two-sided lines, assembly line (work)stations are classified as left-side or right-side stations depending on the operation side to which they are allocated. However, underground stations are also utilized in industry to perform tasks that need to be done underneath the product being assembled on the line. This paper introduces and mathematically formulates a mixed-model, two-sided assembly line balancing problem considering underground stations. The precedence relationships between tasks being performed in the three types of stations are defined and considered in the model. A numerical example is solved in GAMS (with CPLEX solver) and the detailed balancing solution is provided. A new ant colony optimization algorithm, in which the parameters are optimized using response surface methodology, is also developed to solve real-world problems. A total of 78 test problems are derived from the literature and their lower bounds are calculated to test the performance of the ACO algorithm. ACO finds optimum solutions for the majority of small and medium-sized test problems. In comparing the ACO results to the lower bounds for the large-sized problems, ACO finds near -optimum solutions in majority of the test cases.

Dünyadayonga levha üretiminde yaşanan yoğun rekabet, maliyetler üzerinde etkili önemliparametrelerden biri olan işlem sürelerinin enküçüklenmesini zorunlukılmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, deney tasarımı tekniklerinden yaygın olarakkullanılan yanıt yüzey yöntemi (YYY)’nin matematiksel alt yapısı kullanılarak,üretim hızını arttırmak amacıyla pres süresinin enküçüklenmesi amaçlanmıştır.Bu amaçla yonga levhanın pres süresi üzerinde etkili değişkenlerden; yongalevhanın rutubeti, banyo jeli süresi, yonga levhanın altı için gravür jelisüresi, yonga levhanın üstü için gravür jeli süresi, akış, final ağırlığı,kağıdın rutubeti, üreformaldehit (UF) miktarı, melamin formaldehit (MF)miktarı, pres yoğunluğu, pres basıncı ve pres sıcaklığı girdilerinin optimumdeğerleri araştırılmıştır. Bu sayede pres süresi azaltılırken, üretim miktarıve hattın verimliliğinin arttırılması amaçlanmıştır. This study analysed current daylighting conditions in terms of luminous comfort in the classrooms of Balikesir University in Turkey. This was managed through a questionnaire survey and numerical simulations in 16 different classrooms of the Faculty of Engineering-Architecture. The simulation study considered the differences in the performance parameters daylighting level, illuminance uniformity and daylighting factors in order to compare them with the values defined in the standards. Collected for the survey were 818 questionnaires, and these were analysed to understand the students’ perception of luminous comfort in classrooms by using SPSS 22.0 and Minitab 16. The simulation results showed that performance factors in all classrooms were lower than the standard values. Therefore, daylighting can be necessary together with artificial lighting based on the distance from window at the same time. This result revealed that design of artificial lighting is as significant as the design of classrooms. According to the survey results, the perception of luminous comfort is mostly affected by orientation, distance from windows and difference in gender. Furthermore, the students mostly preferred both natural and artificial lighting. This matched well with the simulation results. In conclusion, this paper proposes guidelines for designing high-performance classrooms in terms of luminous comfort.

For this purpose, optimum levels of the factors those have effect on press time namely humidity of the particleboard, bath gel time, gravure gel time for the bottom of the particleboard, gravure gel time for the top of the particleboard, flow, final weight, humidity of the paper, amount of urea-formaldehyde (UF), amount of melamine formaldehyde (MF), press density, press pressure and press temperature were investigated. In this case, It is aimed to increase the production amount and productivity of the line while decreasing the press time. Bu çalışmada, deney tasarımı tekniklerinden yaygın olarak kullanılan yanıt yüzey yöntemi (YYY)’nin matematiksel alt yapısı kullanılarak, üretim hızını arttırmak amacıyla pres süresinin enküçüklenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla yonga levhanın pres süresi üzerinde etkili değişkenlerden; yonga levhanın rutubeti, banyo jeli süresi, yonga levhanın altı için gravür jeli süresi, yonga levhanın üstü için gravür jeli süresi, akış, final ağırlığı, kağıdın rutubeti, üreformaldehit (UF) miktarı, melamin formaldehit (MF) miktarı, pres yoğunluğu, pres basıncı ve pres sıcaklığı girdilerinin optimum değerleri araştırılmıştır. Bu sayede pres süresi azaltılırken, üretim miktarı ve hattın verimliliğinin arttırılması amaçlanmıştır. Modelleme amacıyla, her biri 5 tekrarlı 56 tane gözlem değeri kullanılarak girdilerle pres süresi arasındaki matematiksel ilişki belirlenmiş ve ardından eniyileme yapılmıştır. Çalışmanın sonunda, hali hazırda seçilen ürün tipi için gözlenen en düşük pres süresi olan 13.57 sn. 11 sn. kadar düşürülmüştür.
