Ultra-high bypass ratio turbofans offer significant reductions in fuel and pollution due to their higher propulsive efficiency. Short intakes might lead to a stronger fan-intake interaction, which creates uncertainty in stability at off-design conditions. Due to the prohibitive cost of full-scale experimental testing, subscale testing in wind tunnels is used to understand this behaviour. The low Reynolds number of subscale models results in unrepresentative laminar shock-boundary layer interactions. The boundary layer state thus needs to be conditioned to better represent full-scale transonic fans. This paper proposes the use of an inexpensive and robust flow control method for the suction side of a fan blade. Design guidelines are given for the location and height of the discrete roughness elements used to control the boundary layer state. This paper also presents a rapid experimental validation methodology to ensure and de-risk the application of the boundary layer trip to 3D rig blades. The experimental methodology is applied to a generic aerofoil representative of a fan tip section. The experimental method proves that it is possible to reproduce boundary layers and pressure distributions of a full-scale fan blade on a 1/10 subscale model. The results obtained confirm that the boundary layer trip method successfully promotes transition at the location representative of full-scale blades, avoiding unrepresentative laminar shock wave boundary layer interactions. This highlights the importance of conditioning boundary layers in low Reynolds number fan rig testing.

This article describes and analyzes the labor process of Rappi, one of the main ordering and delivery platforms (odp) in Latin America. An exploratory qualitative case study was carried out and the results are based on the content analysis of 20 semi-structured interviews to platform workers as well as ethnographic work done in 2019–2020 in Santiago de Chile. This article contributes to, first, describe and analyze labor processes organized by an odp whose property and operation is managed in the Global South; second, it enables to explore the role played by Rappi within the Chilean retail production network; third, it connects diverse labor processes organized by odp s further on the ‘pick-up and deliver’ orders task; finally, it analyzes different control mechanisms executed by Rappi beyond algorithmic control, together with individual and collective resistance practices adopted by shoppers and riders.

Se presenta el caso de una paciente femenina de 6 años que consulta por cuadro de dolor en zona de cadera y muslo izquierdo, asociado a peaks febriles. Inicialmente se plantea el diagnóstico de fiebre de origen desconocido versus artritis séptica, sin embargo, con el resultado de hemocultivo y resonancia magnética nuclear, se diagnostica osteomielitis del pubis e inicia tratamiento antibiótico dirigido a la bacteria identificada. La osteomielitis del pubis es una entidad infrecuente, alcanzando menos del 2% de todas las infecciones óseas, que rara vez se sospecha y su diagnóstico suele pasarse por alto1. Es importante que esta patología se maneje como diagnóstico diferencial por los profesionales de salud debido a que el tratamiento eficaz y oportuno disminuye a tasas muy bajas la frecuencia de secuelas2.

Trigger finger, or stenosing tenosynovitis, is a common pathology of the hand, but a low incidence of this condition has been reported in children. Introduction:Tumors of the sheath of the peripheral nerves, also known as schwannomas, mainly benign. The malignancy of these is very rare and there are few cases reported in the literature. Clinical case:A 62-year-old male with a diagnosis of ulcerated malignant schwannoma in the distal third of the posterior aspect of the right thoracic limb who attended the oncosurgery service. The CT scan reported a large solid tumor, predominantly hypodense, with a probable origin dependent on the poorly defined triceps brachii muscle. Surgical removal was performed with two centimeters of perilesional margins, performing primary closure with drain placement. Conclusion:Surgical treatment of total surgical removal with adequate margin coverage is the treatment of choice as a protective factor in survival in this type of tumor..

Persistent pulmonary air leak affects between 10-15% of pulmonary surgical procedures, generally requiring management through the use of conventional chest drainage systems (water-sealed pleural chamber) of subjective interpretation due to poor detection sensitivity. of leaks, resulting in increased morbidity, hospital stay, and costs.

El presente artículo, tiene por objetivo presentar la caracterización del estado en que se encuentra el derecho a la protección de datos personales con respecto a cuentas bancarias de personas naturales en Cuba, a partir del papel que juega el secreto bancario como manifestación práctica del mismo en dichas instituciones. Para su realización se aplicaron métodos del nivel teórico-jurídico y del nivel empírico combinados con operaciones lógicas del pensamiento como el análisis, la síntesis, la abstracción, generalización, así como la inducción y deducción. El resultado principal está dado a partir del diagnóstico normativo y práctico realizado en una muestra que abarcó diferentes provincias del país y que permitió ofrecer una caracterización de cómo se cumple en Cuba el derecho a la protección de los datos de personas naturales con respecto a sus cuentas bancarias.

Epigenetic mechanisms have emerged as an important contributor to tumor development through the modulation of gene expression. Our objective was to identify the methylation profile of the imprinted C19MC and MIR371-3 clusters in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and to find their potential target genes, as well as to study their prognostic role. DNA methylation status was analyzed in a NSCLC patient cohort (n = 47) and compared with a control cohort including COPD patients and non-COPD subjects (n = 23) using the Illumina Infinium Human Methylation 450 BeadChip. Hypomethylation of miRNAs located on chromosome 19q13.42 was found to be specific for tumor tissue. We then identified the target mRNA–miRNA regulatory network for the components of the C19MC and MIR371-3 clusters using the miRTargetLink 2.0 Human tool. The correlations of miRNA-target mRNA expression from primary lung tumors were analyzed using the CancerMIRNome tool. From those negative correlations identified, we found that a lower expression of 5 of the target genes (FOXF2, KLF13, MICA, TCEAL1 and TGFBR2) was significantly associated with poor overall survival. Taken together, this study demonstrates that the imprinted C19MC and MIR371-3 miRNA clusters undergo polycistronic epigenetic regulation leading to deregulation of important and common target genes with potential prognostic value in lung cancer.

Dentro de la mejora continua en el proceso de la enseñanza, un elemento fundamental es la formación que tiene el profesorado, quien enfrenta día con día retos ante una sociedad que está en constante cambio y uno de los retos actuales es que las barreras para el aprendizaje y la participación (BAP) privan a millones de personas de calidad en la educación y por ello no logran los aprendizajes. El presente estudio tiene como objetivos: Conocer cuál es la necesidad actual en la formación del profesorado en educación preescolar en el Estado de Nuevo León e; Identificar cuáles son las acciones en la formación del profesorado en educación preescolar del Estado de Nuevo León que contribuyen a suprimir las barreras para el aprendizaje y la participación en los estudiantes. De los resultados obtenidos en la investigación, el 63.5% de los profesores encuestados manifiestan la necesidad que tienen sobre el fortalecimiento en la formación de estrategias para eliminar las barreras del aprendizaje y la participación. Por ello se proponen acciones tales como: Considerar el tema de las BAP en la formación de los futuros profesores dentro de los planes de estudio de las escuelas Normales del Estado de Nuevo León. Formar a los profesores en servicio que se encuentran en educación preescolar con el fin de eliminar las barreras que pueden presentar los estudiantes apoyándose los docentes en un equipo multidisciplinario que se conforme por especialistas de las áreas de: lenguaje, psicología, comunicación, profesor de apoyo y trabajo social. Por último, la relevancia de concientizar a los alumnos y padres de familia sobre la importancia de estar en contacto con los profesores para atender de la mejor manera, las posibles barreras que cada alumno presente de forma individual. Estas acciones son pensadas desde la formación del profesorado con el fin de lograr eliminar las BAP que presentan los estudiantes y lograr los aprendizajes.
